"5b Update " is an unlisted update video about BFDIA 5b . This video was uploaded about 12 days the release of BFDIA 5b. It shows a bunch of levels. Namely, levels 001 , 010 , 006 , 009 , 008 , 004 , 005 , 007 . But the numbers 007, 010 and 009 were all assigned to different levels than in the final version, and everything about the level numbers didn't correlate to the chronological events that would happen in BFDIA 5b. This video also reveals the existence of levels 054 , 055 , and 056, that are all just empty rooms in the final version. The lack of those levels may be due to jacknjellify trying to rush the release of BFDIA 5b. Although we don’t see those levels, we can speculate that level 008 in this version is one of those levels with the wrong numbers, as it shows us new playable characters, Ruby, Pencil and Bubble. These characters were teased on BFDIA 5b's title screen, but then it was repurposed to be the 12th level.
Plot [ ] The video starts off with a screen showing the words "BFDIA 5b" and underneath it, the words "It's not a cartoon" and "It's a game." flicker in each other's places showcases gameplay of the levels that have already been listed above, although, with changes. The video cuts to a clip scrolling through the menu, showing levels 001 through 056. It goes back to a clip of a gameplay segment from level 007, which has Match as the single player character. Then it cuts to the words "BFDIA 5b" above in small writing, and then a giant release date saying "2/11/13" with a faded out background of various recommended characters. The video zooms in and fades to black.
Changes [ ] The map is the exact same, except Book's dialogue sprite has a rainbow gradient as a background instead of the light pink in the final version. The ground has no border and is a brighter shade of red, and the menu sprite is just a black box.

The number 007 is assigned to the level "008. A friend", the differences are, instead of Book , Match is the only playable character here, and instead of the ground being gray, it’s the old red stripe texture without borders.
