Ruby and her 35 sisters in ABCDEFG

A Battle Concerning Delightfully Exciting Fine Gems!, or ABCDEFG for short, is a video by carykh of a contest with Ruby and her 35 sisters.

Round 1

The video starts out with a slideshow displaying Ruby and all of her sisters: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald (also a recommended character in Get Digging), Turquoise, Amethyst, Obsidian, Diamond, Amber, Variscite, Ivory, Jade, Feldspar, Jasper, Gold, Opal, Axinite, Pyrite, Coral, Topaz, Benitoite, Glass, Garnet, Aquamarine, Iolite, Dioptase, Fluorite, Pearl, Hematite, Quartz, Malachite, Peridot, Lapiz Lazuli, Kornerupine, Chrysoberyl, Ammolite, and Poo. After the host of ABCDEFG asks the audience to place their bets on the gem they think will win, the host disqualifies all non-gemstones. Poo is immediately out, after making a comment about how she forms fastest within quadrillions of living organisms. The host then proceeds to eliminate Obsidian, Glass, Amber, Lapis Lazuli, Pearl, Ivory, Coral, and Ammolite, leaving us with the Final 27.

Round 2

The host eliminates all contestants or recommended characters in BFDI and BFDIA. Ruby is out, after revealing that she likes BFDIA more than ABCDEFG. Since Diamond, Gold, and Emerald have been recommended characters, they are eliminated.

Round 3

The host declares that gem names that end with "-ite" are boring, so Benitoite, Malachite, Axinite, Pyrite, Hematite, Iolite, Variscite, and Fluorite are eliminated. We are left with the Final 15.

Round 4

According to the host, "a perfect gemstone must have a dazzling color." Quartz and Feldspar are then eliminated becuase of both of their bland off-white colors.

Round 5

The host declares that the attention spans of ABCDEFG viewers are very short, and all gems with long names with 9 letters or more are eliminated. Turquoise, Aquamarine, Kornerupine, and Chrysoberyl are disqualified, and the remaining gems become the Final 9.

Round 6

The host mentions that "a good gemstone should also be a BIRTHSTONE." Since all other gems are birthstones except Jade and Dioptase, those two are eliminated.

Final round

The host created the final round by using Algodoo (a physics simulator program). Amethyst won ABCDEFG, then is killed shortly after.
