Hooray indeed! Let's hope One can change this attitude, or I think she'll be ALONE for a VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY LONG TIME!
"Alone" (stylized as "ALONE" in the episode) is the 20th episode of Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two, and the 98th episode overall. It premiered in theatres across the United States on October 16, 2025, and was released on YouTube a day later on October 17, 2025 at 9:00:04 AM PDT (GMT-7).
The episode begins with a shot of a planet inhabited by Skatecats, before dropping off a cliff. Nine then asks the Skatecats to clean up. The episode then cuts to Nine and the Skatecats setting up a campfire and roasting marshmallows. After finishing his marshmallow, Nine throws the stick to a Skatecat, who eats it and burps, knocking a bucket over, to which Nine cleans up. The Skatecat thanks Nine for fixing the planet where they lived on, and Nine responds back positively. They said that one of their old friends was good at repairs and owes it all to her. Nine then looked up to the sky, reminiscing about the other algebraliens after something that happened back where Nine lived. Nine then holds out a stick of marshmallow to say cheers to the other Skatecats. As this is happening, One looms above the planet, breathing heavily.
The episode cuts back to 2009 in the Equation Grasslands, where the algebraliens are playing around. Fourteen chases Zero around trying to eat his skin. He runs into Five, making Five let go of their ball, causing Two and Eight's card pyramid to collapse. Three, looking at what Zero and Fourteen have done, tells both of them that if they can't behave, then they can't stay in the Grasslands. She tells them to go back to Fifteen's cabin and gives Eight their ball back. Five, trying to catch the ball thrown by Three, runs backwards but bumps into Four, who tells them that X is having trouble finding his value. Five is bummed, however, Three compliments X instead. Four then throws the ball really fast to Five, hurting them in the process. Three puts a band-aid on Five's head. Four then invites X to go to the equation playground with them.
One is looking in the distance asking if they could come as well, but Four and X leave them behind. One then looks at Two, resting under a tree, also asking to go with them. Two boops One's nose instead and refuses, wanting to go with Eight. She then looks at Five and Three. Five hurls the ball at Three, hurting them. Nine accidentally runs over Five's ball with her skateboard, causing Nine to go flying towards Five, causing both of them to get hurt. Three then says to Nine that they'll be okay, and asks them what they need. Five then asks Three what she needs, before cutting to Three with their eye all bruised. Nine then complains about their skateboard being ruined. Three then asks the other algebraliens to fix Nine's board, saying that Five's helping out as well, to which they accept. One then looks at Six, who blows bubbles into Seven's eyes, causing his eyes to irritate. Ten is watching silently. One then gets knocked to the ground by Zero, still being chased by Fourteen. One then looks around at everybody leaving them, before cutting to Three, who gets their eye patched up. One then frowns, before showing the episode title, "Alone".
One is then seen walking across the Grasslands, then through a forest, jumping onto lily pads and is then seen on a bridge. Suddenly, a meteor crashes onto a mountain just across where One is. Upon closer inspection, they found out that it is made out of Yoylite. One then screams at whoever sent the Yoylite meteor, only to not get heard back. One then walks to take a look, only to walk away. They does this a few times, then rams and kicks on the giant rock, letting a chunk loose. One is then fascinated about the material, and proceeds to experiment around with it.
One then eventually discovers the Yoylite's power and thanks whoever sent it to the Algebraliens' planet. One then experiments around with their newfound powers, only for them to not work. One says that nobody would follow them to where they are, then desperately tries to get the last bit of power from the Yoylite. One successfully makes the Yoylite float temporarily, and as one last ditch effort, they stare at the Yoylite, breaking it into four chunks, to which One then thought that the other algebraliens would follow them to there. A montage in One's head then plays of them helping out others with their newly acquired abilities. One then heads back to the playground, before fading.
The episode fades back to Three fixing Nine's broken skateboard, only for it to not work when they rode on it. One asks Three to say something, only to cut to a thought where the other algebraliens would hear about the meteor. One, not wanting them to go there, says that it's their meteor. Three then asks One about finding it. Three then comes along with One to head to the meteor, as Three is interested in Meteorites.
One then drags Three to the meteor, only for them to ask Three to just walk, to which they did energetically. Three asks One what the meteor was, with One replying that it crashed there. One also asks Three to keep a secret, to which Three agrees to while writing something about the Yoylite meteor in their notes. One is then seen magically lifting and throwing an entire mountain. Three was visibly astounded and asked One how they did that. One said that the meteor fell out of the sky, saying that One needed it and that they played around with it. Three then attempted to touch the meteor only for One to intervene, saying that they found it. Three told One that they could share the meteor together, to which One accepted. They then taught Three how to use the Yoylite. It then cuts to a montage of Three and One toying around with the Yoylite's capabilities. Three and One eventually head back home to rest for the night, but not before One thanking the Yoylite.
The next day[]
Three shows the Algebraliens about the meteor, much as One's dismay.
One then wakes up, only to see everyone else missing. They ask if anyone's there, but to no avail. They then walk to where the meteor is, only to see everyone else gaining powers from the Yoylite. One then contemplates back in the rainforest before hiding in a cave after they heard voices. One tries to calm themselves down, only for them to get mad.
Now raining, the other algebraliens return to the Grasslands. Three grows a tree's arm so that everyone can cover themselves. The other algebraliens chatter, when suddenly One appears from the thunder. Three invites One to hide under the tree, only for One to break off the arm, hitting Three's head.
Three told One they shouldn't use the Yoylite's power for harm and they don't know what they're doing, One then exclaims that Three wouldn't have known if it wasn't for them, and that the other algebraliens knew the meteor, despite Three promising that only the both of them would know. Three then says that they all obtained valuable powers like teleporting and fixing things, but One still said that they were pushed aside until they found something only for it to get stolen by them. Three called it selfish to keep that secret to themselves and told One to see the possibilities, which One could've only done with the both of them, and that was why it only shared with the two of them. Three called One "lucky" and thanked them for finding it, but told them to calm down and hang out somewhere else. One then stated that they might ruin another cool thing that they find.
Out of spite, One then uses her powers to break Three into pieces. The other algebraliens tell One to stop and that Three might get hurt, but One still manages to completely shatter them. Shocked, all of the algebraliens flee.
One then frantically tells everyone that it was an accident and that they didn't know their powers would kill someone. One proceeds to rant about how nobody would care if Three killed them instead and that Three betrayed them as One's still seen as the bad guy, but everyone still backs off. One rapidly changes their mind and tells everybody that it's all their fault and promises that they can fix what happened. One attempts recovering Three, but it fails, as Three's value shifts. Four and X head to the meteor early, before One gets blasted into the mud by Three's laser. Six then tells One to get out. One still insists that Three can still be fixed before leaving. Eight tells Three that they're all there for them.
One arrives at the meteor, only to find out that all of the power was dried up. Desperately searching for more power, One was quickly brought down by Four's laser. One demanded Four of that power to fix Three, but was rejected, stating that alone time was needed for One. One didn't want to be alone as that was the whole reason why this begun. Four then told One that they can't let anyone get hurt, not even X. One attempts to get away, but is quickly dragged by Four.
They then look up to the sky and find a place to trap One in, which is the Moon. One demanded to be freed and that the problem can be solved if they were let go and that they needed somebody to help them, like Eight or Nine. Seven then told One that they were a danger and that nobody else should be treated badly like what happened to Three.
Four and the other algebraliens send One to the moon to be banished forever, where they cracked a giant hole to trap One in. One apologizes and says that they messed up and they don't deserve getting trapped. One then said that they'll get revenge on them, before Four dropped One inside the moon, all alone by themselves. The algebraliens also made it so that One couldn't ever escape with their power.
Moon montage[]
The Algebrarians use their power to trap One inside the moon.
As the Algebraliens sealed the moon tightly, Ten said they couldn’t open it from the inside. One Yelling No In sadness as Ten explained what she couldn’t do. They tried to escape using their powers, searching for any way to break free, but nothing worked. Exhausted, they finally gave up and lay down on the moon’s surface, worn out from trying so hard.
Three wrapped themselves in a blanket after One ruined their value. Eight asked, “What should we do now?” Seven explained that although they all still had their powers, they needed to split up. They feared that One might return and steal their powers again. Four agreed and said everyone needed to go. He promised to take care of Three.
Six asked Four if he had taken too much of the Yoylite, and Five warned that it contained immense power. Seven said it would be safer for someone else to hold that much power and warned Four of what could happen if One somehow escaped the moon. Nine tried to figure out who could safely handle such energy without misusing it. Seven looked at Two and decided they were the right Algebralien for the job. Eight agreed. Four then transferred a portion of the power to Two but kept some for himself.
Two asked what was happening, and after testing their new power, they left. Six then asked if anyone wanted to stay on their planet in case One ever returned— but was forced to stay after everyone backed off. Seven, Nine, Eight, Ten, Five, Four (along with X and Three; Four put Three inside the Fourest) set off together, traveling somewhere across the universe.
Meanwhile, still trapped on the moon, One grew frustrated trying to escape. They eventually gave up and began sketching drawings of the Algebraliens, focusing especially on Four—determined to find them one day. But just as One felt like giving up completely, the moon suddenly rumbled. The rumbling turns out to be the Earth being united with the moon back in BFB 8 and One overhears Donut telling the contestants that they can return back to Earth as they are both united. Now back in the end of BFB 30, Four overhears Flower and Gelatin’s conversation. Gelatin states everyone deserves a second chance and Four observes the moon.
One learns about the whole competition show and events during her time on the moon.
Years later (TPOT 7), One was still trapped inside the moon—until a powerful lightning strike from Lightning split the moon apart. One smiled in relief and she hurled pieces of the moon away from the cracks and escaped at last. After a few months (TPOT 9), One is finally free and she slithers across space until they spotted the Failed Debuters eating together. Among them, One noticed Kitchen Sink and Two. Two laughed after a joke from Kitchen Sink, unaware that One had finally returned.
One's deals[]
"Okay! Where to start?"
When Bomby and Bell get eliminated back in TPOT 12, they reassure each other until they are taken by One. In confusion, Bell asks who One is before she takes the two to "know each other". One then teleports the two to her pocket dimension while Basketball watches in curiosity and she sets up everything before breaking the ice. After forming the field, One recalls the EXIT and the equation playground and starts creating a one-way door leading to the two locations. She also remembers about her goal to kill the algebraliens and starts writing a contract. She teleports back to the main room and wonders where to start. As Bomby and Bell attempt to get an answer out of her, she asks them a question: what does freedom look like? She teleports the contract on top of her table and says how it's nice that they're together and tells them to imagine what it's like to be utterly alone with no one and nothing to interact with. The two are terrified by this analogy and One ensures she won't let it happen if they signed the contract. The two then sign the contract in fear and they get transported to the field and hug eachother.
After that encounter, One brings a chalkboard towards her, showcasing her goal to gain the power of the algebraliens (especially Two and Four) in order to recover Three. She then flies towards the equation playground and upon arriving, she gets traumatic memories of her killing Three. She stops hyperventilating when she hears a brushing noise and she sinks into the ground. Meanwhile, Six was raking leaves by her self and jumps into them, letting out a bored "yay". As Six walks away, One comes to the conclusion that she's alone and teleports to the yoylite meteorite, remembering her past memories. One states they'll all be alone after she fully enacts her plan. Back to the contestant grounds, One hides behind a bush and notices Fanny without a mouth. She thinks about how unusual it is and takes her away to sign a contract while Basketball searches for her. Later, One teleports to Ice Cube in the moon without legs and makes her sign a contract. Back to her dimension, she theorizes if the remaining algebraliens are on the same planet she's in and teleports to the Evil Forest to get some fresh air. From there, she calls out Five and Seven and checks out her list as Basketball watches. One notices Basketball and takes her away to "chat". After teleporting Basketball to her pocket dimension, she teleports away, promising she'll be back.
One, learning from clips of BFDI, get a idea about Pencil.
After One teleports away, Basketball calls for help. One finds out Two formed a friendship with Gaty and she continues searching for the rest of the algebraliens. While searching, she notices Firey and Leafy building the contents of Dreamier Island before teleporting back to Grasslands. One notices Pen and Eraser rewatching BFDI 19. In the episode, she sees Pencil kill various characters and speculates her to be a menace. After jotting her newfound information down, One notices Firey and Leafy together. From there, she watches the early episodes of BFDI and when she reaches BFDI 5, she gets inspiration from the windstorm caused by Needle's Cake. She then comes back to Dreamier Island and kidnaps Leafy as she and Firey were building shelter from the rain while also incapacitating her. While the votes for the EXITors were being revealed back in TPOT 13, One teleports behind the whiteboard and takes a look at the votes. She sees Pencil has the second most amount of votes to join and shifts the whiteboard to display "two contestants" instead of "one contestant". Later, when Barf Bag and Needle were revealed to be eliminated, One takes both of them to her pocket dimension, leaving Needle in the fields while she talks with Barf Bag in her room.
Barf Bag questions One and she describes the contestants as a "cocky bunch" as whenever she teleports anyone, they immediately want an answer out of her. She then offers Barf Bag a donut, reminding her of her friendship with Donut. One threatens Barf Bag by saying her power can get uncontrollable when she gets upset and demonstrates it by exploding the donut she offered. She also leaves Barf Bag in pain and when she tells her to stop, One throws a contract at her. After Barf Bag signs the contract off-screen, Needle also demands a question out of One and she says she's an old friend of Two. One then tells Needle's friends were reuniting, then proceeds to say that if she missed this opportunity, she might waste away at One's place forever. Either that, or she could sign the contract, which she agrees to. One then sends Needle to her pocket dimension, with the people sent there hugging her on sight.
"I can with confidence, assure you you're unlikable and likely to end up all alone and sad."
After the events of TPOT 15, One sends Leafy to her place. Leafy wonders where Firey is, but One then tells her that she was alone for the first time in her life. Leafy is confused and One then tells her that she wouldn't let anything bad to happen to Firey, so she gives her a favor by signing a contract, but, quick to deny, Leafy thought that it wasn't very nice of One to do so. Leafy then says that she's cataclysmically low on her niceness scale. One lets go of Leafy as she stated her reasons why (a tape in her mouth, threats, and mimicry) she was #102 (the lowest on the scale) on her niceness rankings. Leafy then went on to boast about how she is #0.5 in her rankings. Leafy went on to One's bookshelf to share her tips on how to improve her ranking, finding a book reading that she's a Capricorn, which can be stubborn and pessimistic. She hands her the page, with One questioning why Leafy would say that to her, before getting hit by a book. Leafy then races to find a book as she sees One as a lost cause. One then tries to use her laser on Leafy, with her running away. One of the lasers hits the TV, where Firey is seen searching for Leafy. Leafy then states that it wasn't very nice of her to attempt killing her, and how the only way she'll learn if she's punished. She grabs her knife and goes on to ruin her chair, saying that it is a reminder of her misdeeds. One then flies towards Leafy before getting hit by a book thrown be her. Leafy goes on to say that she went down to #103 as she finds Camping Book, who was already nicer than her. Leafy says let's hope One can change her behavior, otherwise she would be alone for a very long time. Annoyed, One shrieks at Leafy to get out and teleports her to somewhere else to prevent more chaos and she then sees Firey as being not much of a threat at all. Leafy arrives at a campground near the waterfall as she waits for Firey.
The episode then cuts to the events of "Last One Standing", where Pencil is seen beaming Four off the hotel roof. After One catches Four and pops away, the episode reverts back to Pencil, telling One to make good on her word by sending her to whereabouts unknown.
After a transition, Pencil gets sent all the way back to "Take the Plunge: Part 1". Pencil pants in shock, before seeing a device from One that she can use if things went wrong (and presumably for time travel). Pencil now realizes that she was sent back to BFDI, before hearing Match uttering "Yeah I know, she was so surprised!".
One then flies to the moon, where a powerless Four demanded to be let go. One says that it was part of her plan. Four then makes One reflect about what happened with Three and that the power is dangerous and uncontrollable. Four thought trapping One in the moon would make her see something before being cut by One, who says that Four will see whatever she saw inside the moon. One then proceeds to kick Four inside of the moon, before telling him that he'll be let go in about 14 years or so. Four tries to tell One to not trap him in, but One traps him anyway. One then kicks the moon, flying it into space.
Present day[]
One destroys the planet where Nine inhabited with its aliens.
One sees Nine's planet and crosses them on her chalkboard. One tells Nine that she found them and proceeds to destroy the planet. Nine is confused about what just happened, before seeing One. She then started attracting Nine to her, helplessly screaming, before ending with a cliffhanger.
Stinger[]
The episode ends with Loser and Winner outside the Hotel and the now-broken Wireless Recovery Center. Winner questions how they were recovered as the keypad on the WRC doesn't work anymore. The two then talk about how they should've stayed friends, despite their differing paths of fame. As they're talking, Firey Jr. is revived via a spark from Loser's torch. Firey Jr. then says that he's "surrounded by losers", then correcting himself to "losers and winners." upon seeing Winner.
Timeline of events[]

Trivia[]
This is the seventh episode in the series to have one word in the title, with the first six being "Crybaby!", "Lofty", "Vomitaco", "Hurtful!", "Meaty", and "🥚".
This episode was the fastest of both Battle for Dream Island and TPOT to reach 1,000,000 views, reaching it in 9 hours, the previous record was held by "Last One Standing", which achieved that goal in 11 hours.
This is the first episode of the series, and the first episode of any object show series, to have a proper theatrical release. This does not count episodes debuting in private meetups and conventions.
While "Inanimate Insanity II: The Movie" screened in two theaters in Los Angeles and one in England, TPOT 20 is the first episode to partner with cinema brands to premiere in theaters.
This is also the first episode to premiere in theaters across the contiguous United States.
This is the second TPOT episode in a row to premiere in theaters, after "Last One Standing" at the BFDI x II 2025 Tour.
This is the third TPOT episode in a row to screen before its YouTube, after TPOT 18 at VidCon and TPOT 19 at the tour.
This is the first TPOT episode since "Out Of The Blue" to release three months after the previous episode, rather than every 1-2 months.
As neither this episode nor BFDIA 23 were released in September, this makes September 2025 the first month to skip a BFDI episode release since February 2024 (between the releases of "Catch These Hands" and "Taste the Sweetness").
This is the first time that all locations (except Billings, MT) showing BFDI content have sold out in a single day.[3]
This is the episode with the most amount of teasers, with nine.
Following the theatre premiere, Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know was played. Sam Thornbury stating they were “allowed to have a small bonus after the episode, so I figured fans might enjoy seeing an old episode on the big screen”.
This episode features the earliest chronological event in the BFDI series thus far, as the first half takes place in 2009; a year before "Take The Plunge".
This is the third TPOT episode to have no voting. The first is Out Of The Blue and the second is BFB 31.
This is the first episode of the series to not feature a traditional intro, instead having a title card with a song that has a Gibberish!! motif.
This episode has broken One's streak of having major roles in odd-numbered episodes and cameos in even-numbered episodes.
The extreme damage and failure of the Wireless Recovery Center means that any contestant (or anyone in general) that died in the previous episode, or even before, may be dead for the foreseeable future.
The only available remaining methods of recovery are the Wireless Recovery Center Controller, assuming it isn't broken, and X's powers, but he's with the BFB contestants far from the hotel.
This is the third episode to have a warning for people with photosensitive epilepsy, the others being "Category One" and "Seasonal Shift".
However, this is the fourth to include one if you include the one listed in the description of "Respect to the Wicked".
This episode aired on YouTube 3,333 days after IDFB 1 did.
Coincidentally, Three is a very relevant character this episode.
This is the first episode since "Oneirophobe's Nightmare" to have Sam Thornbury write individually.
This is the second episode released in a row to be over 40 minutes, the other one being "I'm the Main Character".
This is the first episode to have the title of the episode to be unexpectedly revealed in the teaser.
Unlike Objects, when episodes take place in the past, and their designs are directly based on a specific style in order of the timeline, the Algebralians instead use the current BFB/TPOT style instead of the original XFOHV style.
When One gets mad at Three for revealing the Yoylite meteor to the other algebraliens, she says, "You wouldn't even know about this if it wasn't for me," which is the same thing that Discy says to Anchor when he tries to use the Yoylite in Seasonal Shift.
The drawings One carves in the moon were first seen in "Last One Standing".
One overhears Donut and all of the other contestants return to Earth from the moon in "Questions Answered".
There is a sandbox at the Equation Playground with mines and a red flag in it, which is a reference to the game Minesweeper, as well as a nod to the colors of the Algebraliens from 1 to 8 being based on it.
Gaty and Two's chat about how floors are numbered is a nod to the United States versus United Kingdom floor numbering system. Additionally, they are voiced by an American and a British voice actor respectively.
Differences between the screening version and the final YouTube release[4][]
At 0:12. the large, looped hill in the background was given an outline to its border in the YouTube, as opposed to having no outline in the screening.
At 3:44, the bandage seen on Five's head is missing in the screening. This is fixed in the YouTube release.
At 3.48, Nine’s limb colour is off, being pink instead of white. This is also fixed in the YouTube release.
Starting at 4:48, the elements of the backgrounds of the places One roams to, and the mountain where the large chunk of Yoyleite landed have been tweaked, scaled, re-positioned, etc.
As well as this, a Tree appears in the foreground as One passes by the first background- only in the YouTube release.
The large chunk of Yoyleite gains a fairly strong internal glow in the YouTube release.
More chunks are seen surrounding the large chunk of Yoyleite at 5:19 in the screening compared to the YouTube release, and the scene overall is more zoomed out in the screening.
The light One reacts to at 5:23 gains both size, and a lens flare in the YouTube release
The scene at 5:31 is zoomed out slightly in the YouTube release.
The first small piece of Yoyleite One tests out has a different shape between versions.
At 7:16. The scene in the screening is more zoomed out than the YouTube release.
At 7:39, One is drawn slightly wider in the YouTube release.
At 7:45, One's mouth is open in the screening, but closed in the YouTube release.
At 7:46, One of the lines under One's eyes have been removed, and the other became transparent in the YouTube release.
At 7:53, the radial tapered white lines shown as One manipulates the Yoyleite are removed in the YouTube released, and seemingly replaced with a blue watercolor background.
At 7:56, when the Yoylite explodes, it's fragments are more spread out in the YouTube release.
At 8:03, One's expression is entirely different between versions.
At 8:39, the doodle-esque versions of the Algebraliens in One's head gain lip-sync in the YouTube release.
Additionally, Three goes from immediately putting her "ear" up when One says "Do you wanna see something cool?!", to taking a moment to grasp what One is saying, then reacting. In a similar vain, her timing of pulling out her notepad and pencil is slightly tweaked in the YouTube release.
Three is also present, laying on the floor as the crowd shuffles out, and One screams "No wait, come back here!..."
Two is closer to the screen when One getting up from the floor
One has eyebrows when getting up from the floor
At 9:00, Three puts her hands on her hips in the YouTube release, as opposed to them dangling down in the screening
At 9:36, the sporadic, faded glows on the big chunk of Yoyleite are replaced with little yellow, curved rhombuses in the YouTube release (as well as a LOT more of them being present).
At 15:35, One's mouth becomes a dark red in the YouTube release, where it was previously black in the screening.
At 24:46, a mistake is present where Donut's voice is left unpitched when he says "done" in the "Questions Answered" flashback, similiar to how it sounds in the flash files for the episode. This was fixed in the final release.
At 25:00, no music plays in the flashback in "Chapter Complete", whereas "Hallway" plays in the final release.
At 25:52, a few differences can be seen:

Screenings[]
During the 2nd Ocoee, FL showing, the screen glitched during Claustrophobe's Nightmare, leaving the screen tinted purple and having a frame of Yellow Face stuck on the screen. Fortunately, the screen was fixed during You're A Loser, But... and the Hey Two! music video.
