Aurora Borealis is a contestant in BFDI Mini Natural, one of 10 contestants that were picked for the season, originating as a recommended character from "This Episode Is About Basketball".
Appearance[]
Aurora Borealis is a series of five wavy transparent gradients resembling the aurora borealis phenomenon. Most of their waves are cyan or light green in color, with a blue to purple gradient hosting their face.
In BFDI Mini Natural, their asset is a bit blurrier and their face is wider, covering the blue to purple gradient that hosts their face.
Personality[]
Aurora Borealis seems to be a generally simple minded, straight forward, and happy character, constantly smiling and taking the simplest path to their goals. They seem to over rely on their special abilities, as challenges where those abilities don't help leaves them rather helpless. They also enjoy doing fun group activities with their friends, with them being very loyal to their friends in general however this can cause issues as they tend to focus more on keeping their friends safe then actually keeping themselves safe. Generally, Aurora Borealis is often very oblivious to others.

Strengths[]
- Flight: Aurora Borealis is able to fly.
- Frost Breath: As shown in "Mow the Lawn", Aurora Borealis has the ability to freeze characters and wilt grass with their breath. However it's not as powerful as Freeze Juice, as Aurora Borealis is unable to freeze Evil Leafy using their frost breath in "Survive Evil Leafy".
- Wind Blowing: As shown in "Balance Off the Evil Canyon", Aurora Borealis is able to blow strong air currents from their mouth. These air currents are strong enough to propel Seashell back onto the Evil Canyon land bridge at such a speed that Seashell knocking into Chestnut causes them to be sent into the air and fall off the Evil Canyon land bridge.

Battle for BFDI[]
In "This Episode Is About Basketball", they appear during the recommended characters crowd scene for that episode being recommended by boppinduck. In that scene they are hit by one of the balls, a yellow ball specifically, that Coiny throws resulting in them frowning.
BFDI Mini Natural[]
In "Grab A Leaf", Aurora Borealis immediately flies up to the branches of the tree and grabs a leaf with their mouth completing the challenge and being the second contestant safe.
In "Mow the Lawn", Aurora Borealis flies backwards over a row of grass and freezes the grass in order to kill it and mow the lawn, accidentally freezing Spruce Tree in the process. This allows them to be safe from elimination,
In "Survive Evil Leafy", Aurora Borealis is seen hanging out with Redcurrant and Chestnut until Evil Leafy approaches them. They attempt to freeze Evil Leafy with their frost breath but it doesn't work and they end up getting caught by her after Redcurrant and Chestnut run away. This puts Aurora Borealis up for elimination along with Geode.
In "Climb Over The Garden Wall", Aurora Borealis is seen watching the flower that represents their safety in the game with a calm smile transitioning to a shocked expression when their flower blooms and reveals their safety with only 34% of the vote and then transitioning to a frightened expression when Geode is pulled off screen for their elimination by a cane. Later, when the challenge starts, Aurora Borealis is seen smiling while looking at the wall before looking up at the top of the wall, and closing their eyes as they fly away from the rest of the contestants. They then open their eyes as they slowly and calmly float over the garden wall before grinning a toothy smile once they are declared safe from elimination.
In "Balance Off the Evil Canyon", Aurora Borealis is seen floating above the Evil Canyon land bridge with a small expression of surprise. Later, when Beehive grabs Seashell and drops them off the Evil Canyon land bridge, Aurora Borealis is seen speeding down after Seashell with a determined expression, as they fly down after Seashell various scenes of the two of them hanging out together are seen. Them being near each other in the intro, them having a tea party while smiling at each other, and them wearing black sunglasses next to each other smiling. Aurora Borealis manages to fly underneath Seashell, and then proceeds to use their ability to blow strong wind to safely send Seashell back to the Evil Canyon land bridge. This inadvertently puts Aurora Borealis up for elimination however, as they flew too low to the point they were no longer considered "balancing off the Evil Canyon", much to their annoyance.
In "Survive the Swarm of Bees", Aurora Borealis is seen worried as the vote percentages between them and Chestnut are revealed. They smile a wide smile as their safety is revealed with a green flash as they only got 25% of the vote, then then watch Chestnut be caught and flown into the sky by butterflies as Chestnut waves Aurora Borealis goodbye, and once Chestnut is gone Aurora Borealis turns around with a flat expression. Later, when the swarm of bees approaches the Evil Canyon land bridge, Aurora Borealis watches with a frown before immediately turning around flying fast into the sky away from everyone. Presumably they stayed far away from everyone in the sky as they are not seen for the rest of the episode.
In "3-Legged Race", Aurora Borealis is seen at the end of the track for the 3-legged race happily holding a sign in their mouth to cheer on Seashell for the rejoin.
In "Travel 2,763 Miles", Aurora Borealis is seen looking at the arrow pointing to the left as the challenge starts before then thinking to themselves for a bit before just simply flying away with a smile on their face, oblivious to the anger of Beehive. Later, while flying across the Goiky Canal during the night, freeze juice syringes thrown by Spruce Tree start whizzing past them, although they remain oblivious to this. Eventually, one of these syringes manages to hit Aurora Borealis causing them to turn to ice and fall into the canal below. This causes them to be put up for elimination due to them being stuck frozen floating in the middle of the Goiky Canal.
In "Dig the Farthest Down", Aurora Borealis is seen still frozen in their oblivious smiling expression now washed up on the shore of Yoyleland. The votes are revealed, showing that Aurora Borealis got 51% of the votes and is eliminated, causing the still frozen Aurora Borealis to let out a tear.
