Speculation[]
Disclaimer: This section is purely mere predications and should not be taken as fact.
- This episode may continue the Leafy arc that started in "🥚" and continued in "Launch Party".
Host Speculation[]
- If Woody, Flower, or Spongy get the most votes, they'll be recovered and presumably stay alive, as Woody is alive in "Welcome Back" and both Flower and Spongy are listed as "contestants" in IDFB.
- If Leafy or Bubble get the most votes, she'd become the second BFDI finalist to host, with the first being Firey.
- If Liy, Stapy, and Foldy are considered eligible for voting (since they canonically appeared as recommended characters) and they get the most votes, they could be the only "BFDI APPISIOTE 225555555!!!!!" contestants to host a season.
- If Cheese Orb, VR Headset (assuming he is considered eligible for voting due to appearing as a recommended character in "Taste the Sweetness"), Triangle Speaker Box, Pan Flute, Evil Leafy, Pineapple, or Jack Frew get the most votes, it'll mark the second time they've hosted an episode (the first being in "Seasonal Shift") and the first time in-universe.
- If the characters introduced in BFDIA 5b (Lego Brick, Tune, Waffle, and the various enemies) are eligible for voting and get the most votes, it'll mark their first major appearance outside the game.
- If Puffball Speaker Box, Firey Speaker Box, Flower, the Bugs, one of the LOL inhabitants, or one of the WTF inhabitants get the most votes, it'll mark the second time a previous host returned to host in BFDIA (the first time being in "Meaty", when Puffball Speaker Box returned to host).
- If Announcer gets the most votes, it'll mark the second time he appears late in a season to take it over (the first time being in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning") and the first time in-universe.
- However, this could result in a continuity error, as the Announcer was unaware that BFDIA continued without his involvement and believed it had been cancelled.
- If Purple Face gets the most votes to host, it'll be the second time he has served as a host (the first time being in "Uprooting Everything") and the first time in-universe.
- However, Purple Face is currently trapped inside the Beryllium Fortress, Destruction Impossible and is not supposed to escape until "Fashion For Your Face!". As such, it is unknown if he would host from within the fortress or if he would be briefly let out again.
- Either way, it could be used to explain how Purple Face's prison was taken to Yellow Face's Warehouse.
- However, Purple Face is currently trapped inside the Beryllium Fortress, Destruction Impossible and is not supposed to escape until "Fashion For Your Face!". As such, it is unknown if he would host from within the fortress or if he would be briefly let out again.
- If Snare Drum, Rubber Spatula, and Kitchen Sink are considered eligible for voting (the former due to her cameo in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4", and the latter two due to their brief appearances in the future in "Start the Shift") and get the most votes, it'll make this their first major appearance chronologically.
- if One, Two, and Three are eligible for voting for appearing on doors as labels in Lots of Mud, and get the most votes, this could be the first time they have a major role canonically
- If Leafy gets the most votes, and BFDIA 21 has the final four, then it would be very similar to the Inanimate Insanity II episode "Truth or Flare" where Taco, another runner-up contestant from the first season, hosted the final four.
- It is unknown if Profily is considered eligible for voting, as they stated they were a contestant since the beginning of BFDI. In addition, the announcer does know about their presence before BFB.
- Assuming this does make them eligible, and they get the most votes, it would make this their first canonical major appearance not counting the flashbacks in The Hidden Contestant.
- It is unknown if Loser and Winner are considered eligible for voting, as while they had only appeared as assets, "Oneirophobe's Nightmare" revealed that the pair's initial appearance in "Puzzling Mysteries" was a “brief job from the speaker box”, meaning they technically made their debuts in said episode.
- Assuming this does make them eligible, and they get the most votes, it would retroactively make this their first major appearance, and could potentially explain how Loser knows the main cast in "Getting Teardrop to Talk".
- If any contestant from the BFDI Mini series get the most votes to host, it would be their first time having a major appearance in the main series chronologically, the first being "Seasonal Shift".
- Due to the rules specifying that only characters from the first two seasons are eligible for voting, this only applies to the following characters:
- A duck, Glue, Purple Girl with Wind Hair and Angry Eyes, and Rose from BFDI Mini.
- Tent, Juice Box, Strudel, Electric Guitar, Vacuum, Kabab, Diamond, and Deadly from BFDI Mini Again.
- Credit Card and USB from BFDI Mini Deluxe.
- Exploding David and Your Mom from BFDI Mini, Seriously!".
- Cereal Box, Chips, Jordan (due to his cameo in "Taste the Sweetness"), Milkshake, Popcorn, Popsicle, Sandwichy. and Vomit from BFDI Mini Delicious".
- Acid Tennis Ball, Baby Coiny, Blue Spongy, Electric Blocky, Ender Rocky, Fire-ette, Firey Jr. Jr., Mechanical Pencil, Ninja Woody, Quartz, and Tack from BFDI Mini Replicas.
- Autumn Leaf, Beehive, Grapes, Lotus Flower, and Seashell from BFDI Mini Natural.
- Beach Ball, Coconut Water, Diving Board, Orange Surfboard, Pearl, and Sunscreen from BFDI Mini Resort.
- Due to the rules specifying that only characters from the first two seasons are eligible for voting, this only applies to the following characters:
- If one of Ruby's sisters or Teardrop's cousins gets the most votes to host, it will mark their first major appearance acting separately from the rest of their respective families.
- In the case of Quartz, this would be her second major appearance acting separately (the first being in BFDI Mini Replicas) and the first time in-universe.
- Assuming the version that appears with Ruby's sisters and the version that appears in BFDI Mini Again are meant to be the same character, this would also apply to Diamond.
- Although they were mentioned in "Well, Look Who It Is!", Gelatin's brothers are likely not eligible as they never physically appeared in the series.
- In the case of Quartz, this would be her second major appearance acting separately (the first being in BFDI Mini Replicas) and the first time in-universe.
- It is unknown if Cary Huang and Michael Huang are considered eligible for voting, as while they have technically appeared in a few episodes of BFDIA, these were almost exclusively in various post-credits scenes promoting newly released merchandise that are not considered canon to the show. The only exception to this is Cary making a brief cameo during the dubstep remix in "Taste the Sweetness", meaning he could be considered eligible due to this.
Elimination Hypotheticals[]
- If Coiny is eliminated:
- Tennis Ball would be the highest ranking male contestant.
- He would also be the only circular contestant.
- Additionally, he and Needle would be the only contestants from the Squashy Grapes left.
- There would be no more coin objects left in BFDIA.
- There would be no more contestants whose name ends in -y still competing in BFDIA.
- Book would be the last contestant voiced by Michael Huang.
- Chronologically, this would be his first elimination by viewer vote.
- In release date order, BFDIA would be the third season to have the final four consist of one boy and three girls.
- In-universe, BFDIA would be the second season before BFB's final four.
- Tennis Ball would be the highest ranking male contestant.
- If Pin is eliminated:
- Tennis Ball would be the last contestant voiced by Cary Huang.
- Needle would be the only sharp object left.
- BFDIA would be the first season having the final four with two boys and two girls (both in-universe and release date order).
- No more Squishy Cherries would be competing.
- Regardless of who is eliminated:
- They will not be competing in anymore currently-running seasons.
- They will be the second original W.O.A.H. Buncher eliminated, after Donut in "Get Digging".
- The safe contestant will be the only original W.O.A.H. Buncher remaining.
- This will be Coiny’s first time being in the bottom two after the hiatus.
- By release order, this will be either contestants’ third elimination. Chronologically, it would be their second.
- The safe contestant, along with Needle, will be the only future members of The Losers! and Team8s remaining.
Prize Hypotheticals[]
- If Coiny wins the prize:
- This would be his first prize in post-hiatus BFDIA.
- This would be his first prize since Get Digging.
- This would be his second prize in the season overall.
- If Pin wins the prize:
- This would be her second prize in BFDIA overall.
- This would be her first prize since "PointyPointyPointy ♫".
Confirmed events between BFDIA 20 and IDFB 1[]

- Golf Ball, Nickel, Bomby, Rocky, and Yellow Face stop being possessed by Evil Leafy.
- Fries, Gelatin, Pencil and Ice Cube leave the tornado.
- Bomby loses his purple color.
- All of the LOLers stop being taped up. Firey Jr. also gets out of Bottle.
- There is no eliminated contestant rejoining, at least not from the TLC, as the eliminated contestants sent to the Tiny Loser Chamber are still there as of IDFB 1.
- Ice Cube willingly goes back to Yoyleland.
- The hole next to the HPRC gets patched up.
- The FreeSmart SuperVan is placed in front of the HPRC with glue coming out the exhaust.
- FreeSmart does something related to the Science Museum that Needle keeps a secret.
- The stairs of the Yoyle Needy are fixed, after being out of order as of BFDIA 6.
- Pencil falls off the Yoyle Needy at least once, as implied by Book.
- Firey gets trapped in a cage hanging from the top of the Yoyle Needy by FreeSmart, possibly as punishment for recovering Leafy.
- All but one of Fries' fries are destroyed either by rotting away, Firey burning them, or Gelatin eating them.
- He has already lost his fries from Gelatin eating them in various episodes, and them rotting away in BFDIA 18. However, he was recovered and regained them both times.
- Tennis Ball invents Grotatoes for Fries to use to replace his fries due to Yoyle City not being sunny enough for normal potatoes to grow.
- Pin becomes friends with Coiny again and abandons her sadistic and competitive personality.
- Pin loses her color, as the red pigment in her body was extracted and restructured into new limbs by Golf Ball. As a result, she also loses her Mech Suit, battery, and drill.
- FreeSmart continues to record audio-only diaries until IDFB 1 due to Ruby never removing the lens cap from the Camera. They also continue to collect gumdrops.
Confirmed events between BFDIA 20 and BFB 1[]
- Spongy and Flower are recovered.
- Gelatin's Shadeshouse becomes a steakhouse again.
- Lewis may be recovered as he could have died in BFDIA 10 and is alive in TPOT 14.
- BBQ Sauce dies at some point before TPOT 9, as a corpse of them is seen.
- This may also just be a dead body from the past, and they are alive again.
- Black Hole sees the FreeSmart SuperVan, the Hand-powered Recovery Center, the swings, and the Beryllium Fortress, Destruction Impossible at some point before TPOT 10, as they appeared in his nightmare during that episode.
- Black Hole likely saw the Hand-powered Recovery Center when Balloony recovered the contestants in BFDIA 16.
- Fries forgives Puffball for betraying their team at the end of BFDIA 5e, and they become friends again.
- Several contestants' personalities begin to change.
- Pencil and Match become ruder.
- Flower becomes nicer.
- Pillow becomes more murderous, presumably due to further research.
- Pin likely becomes regretful of the ways she acted during BFDIA, especially since she claimed that it "sucked" despite it being her best season she has competed in.
- Yellow Face loses hatred towards the color purple, as he seems fine with having Marker on his team in BFB (while still retaining his hatred towards Purple Face, likely due to them being arch-enemies and overall opposites).
- The box where Purple Face is trapped in is taken to Yellow Face's warehouse.
- Golf Ball's Underground Factory and Gelatin's Steakhouse have the pink paint removed from them.
- The Eiffel Tower is rebuilt without the Clubhouse of Awesomeness, as it appears in BFDI Mini, which is canon.
- Gelatin gains an interest in forks.
- Taco remains uninvolved with Blocky's Funny Doings International, as she does not know what it is until BFB 19.
- Woody learns that Leafy stole Dream Island, as he knows it as of BFB 22, but he died in BFDI 25 before he could find out then.
- He may have figured this out in BFB 15, when Firey yells out that she stole the island, with the alive contestants present nearby.
- Pen somehow acquires fifteen trevigintillion nine hundred ninety-nine duovigintillion nine hundred ninety-nine unvigintillion eight hundred vigintillion dollars between BFDI 21 and BFB 1.
- Something happens to the post-hiatus Season 2 episodes, as:
- Four and X do not acknowledge, or are somehow unaware of the high vote counts reached in BFDIA 7 and onwards, despite supposedly having the entirety of BFDIA archived in the BFDI.
- Announcer told Taco BFDIA got cancelled in BFB 29, but she did not correct him despite hosting the season temporarily.
- She might have believed it happened after BFDIA 17, when the LOL prisoners stopped hosting and being involved with the season.
- Leafy implies BFDIA did not get finished in BFB 29, as she said "Four's been the only one close to finishing a season of the show in years!"
- Bubble and Leafy continue to be frenemies, and Ruby finds out about this before BFB 17.
- Firey and Gelatin stop being best friends, as they seem to have drifted apart in later seasons, but remain on good terms in BFB 25.
- Gelatin learns about Firey and Leafy's history, as he was able to give a recap of it to Lollipop in BFB 22.
- Firey becomes friends with Needle and Pin, as he calls them his pals in BFB 1.
- Bubble finds out that Donut's favorite season is summer.
- Tree and TV do not interact with each other, because TPOT 17 confirms they have not have any shared times together.
- Flower and Ruby play flower power multiple times.
- Pie does not kill anyone, as she says she's killed no one in BFB 1.
- Ruby starts to like music, as she claims to not be a fan of it in BFDIA 12, yet she has been shown to enjoy singing multiple times in Battle for BFB.
- Spongy gets a Spaceship.
- Pin begins to hate the Really Weird Planet in the Orion Nebula, and the aliens return there.
- Golf Ball builds a Rocket Ship.
- Pin collects Blueberry Seeds.
- Saw becomes friends with Lollipop and Taco.
- Bomby also becomes friends with Firey Jr. and Naily.
Trivia[]
- If this episode gets confirmed to be Non-Competition, it will be the third episode (second by in-universe order) to be a Non-Competition episode, first being Well, Look Who It Is!, and next being Out Of The Blue. and next will be BFDI:TPOT 18.
- If this episode is not a Non-Competition episode however, it will therefore then be the second episode to be premiered following "PointyPointyPointy ♫" in the BFDI & II 2024 Tour, and the first BFDIA episode to do so.
General[]
- This would be the second time where only two contestants are up for elimination, following Book and Ruby in "PointyPointyPointy ♫".
- In release date order, BFDIA will be the first season having the final four without Flower and Leafy.
- The 21st word in this episode will be used in both secret messages.
