“ | You're all getting a reward, BFDI DDSs. The super fun portable handheld video game console will let you play the most exciting games on 12 screens. A dodecascreen. Plus, it's foldable. | ” |
The BFDI DDS is a handheld game console that appeared in "A Leg Up in the Race" as a prize given to the final 12 contestants remaining in the competition. There are 12 screens to play on, hence the name "DDS", which stands for "dodeca-screen". It is also foldable, as shown wrapping in 12ths around Match.
Appearance[]
In BFDI and BFDIA, it is a thin board with 12 tiny screens, a D-pad, and a circle pad along with multiple other buttons that are outlined in gray and colored white.
In BFB, it is colored a deep purple instead of white, because of the color scheme of the background objects, but it remains the same otherwise. However, the D-pad and circle pad swapped places.
Trivia[]
- It is a parody of the Nintendo DS and the Nintendo 3DS, dual-screen handheld gaming consoles made by Nintendo.
- The game shown on its screens was "Get To The Top Although There Is No Top!" (GTTTATINT), a flash game created by the Huang twins.
- The variation of GTTTATINT shown in the episode is GTTTBTIAT or GTTTBTIAT Easy Edition, since the walls on the side are thicker than normal.
- One of the playable versions of GTTTATINT features BFDI characters.
- The console appeared in Cloudy's pile of stuff in "Getting Teardrop to Talk", but it was purple instead of white.
- The console also appeared in "Lick Your Way to Freedom" as a recommended character called "Handheld", recommended by ThePlungeTakers.
