To request for adminship, create a blog post by going to your user page, clicking the "Blog" tab, and clicking "create blog post". On the blog post, provide why you want to be an admin, as well as what will you do when you become an admin (delete, move or protect pages, block misbehaving users, etc.). The users in the community will visit your blog post and comment whether you deserve admin rights or not.
