Battle for Dream Island character recommendations was a Google Moderator page that was created on May 19, 2012. It would not open to the public until June 30, 2012 to coincide with the release of "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know", where viewers could submit their recommended characters to appear in a future episode of Battle for Dream Island Again, with the top 25 most voted characters being included in the next episode.
The character recommendations page officially closed on June 30, 2015; coinciding with Google's decision to close Google Moderator. However, recommendations were made as far as July 14, 2015 by currently unknown workarounds.
Preservation[]
No known secondhand screenshots of the page are known to exist online. The Internet Archive did not properly archive individual pages properly, leaving the only archived page being a snapshot on archive.today on November 9, 2013.
All of the recommendations were preserved as part of an effort by ArchiveTeam in July 2015, leaving a .csv export of the recommendations available to download on archive.org. However, the sheet itself appears to exclude several recommended characters who have placed in the Top 25 of each episode, such as Lego Brick, Tune, and Waffle. Characters intended to appear in the 2013 version of BFDIA 6 appear to have been deleted, as Meatball is absent.

The character recommendations were created in a form that allowed the viewer to specify their username, their location (not actually used), give details about their character, provide a media URL for how their character looks, and tags. A total of 8,874 suggestions were submitted before the page closed.

- The very first character recommended was "lice cube" by Fernozzle on May 19, 2013. It received 8 plus votes and 17 minus votes overall.[citation needed]
- The very last "character" recommended was by ElDiegus on July 14, 2015 with the text "Lol i hare[sic] freesmarters".[citation needed]
