Episodes suggesting a friendship

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", he and Lightning work together, initially to steal blocks from The Strongest Team on Earth. but they instead take their pile of batteries to revive Remote. They both tell Pillow to stop using their acid to kill other contestants. Later, Fanny comes up with the idea to knock over other stacks of blocks.

Later on, Lightning roots for Black Hole as he sucks up Are You Okay's stack.

Black Hole and Lightning, along with Fanny and Marker, go to take down Tear Drop's stack, to help take his mind off things. When Lightning tells Teardrop to stop making them cause death, Black Hole agrees with him.

In Fishes and Dishes, Lightning laughs at Pillow when she can't toss him or Black Hole off the hotel roof.

Later, they both notice the chaos going on between Are You Okay and Just Not and Black Hole asks if they should interfere. Lightning is fine with doing nothing as he enjoys being able to relax and drink his juice.

Neutral interactions

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", when Lightning asks what their team name should be, Black Hole responds that it should be Death P.A.C.T. Again.

In "Gardening Zero", after Lightning electrocutes his team's Funny Plant, Black Hole tells him, in no offense, that their team will be better off if he stayed back home.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", when Lightning points out that Just Not is going to slay a dragon, Black Hole says that they should just play the challenge safe and make a meal for Two.

Episodes suggesting a conflict

When the team decides to make the other stacks shorter, Lightning tells Black Hole that since they love sucking up blocks, they'll actually be useful for once. Black Hole laughs sarcastically before he flies away to go suck up blocks, to Lightning's confusion.

After Lightning is recovered and mentions he cannot feel the tingly ground, Black Hole tells him to shut up and Lightning asked Black Hole what did he say.

In "Fishes and Dishes", when Black Hole says there's a problem with Marker's strategy to simply dive in the canal and find the plates, Lightning agrees, asking how they'll communicate underwater. However, that was of no concern to Black Hole as he was referring to the fact that they can't hold their breath forever. Marker says they'll just prevent death by holding their breath. Lightning calls the idea genius, much to Black Hole's annoyance.

Black Hole asks if he can have a sip and Lightning says he can and tosses him the entire glass. Black Hole, of course, sucks up the whole drink to Lightning's inconvenience.

In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", Black Hole states that he appreciates Lightning for their service. Lightning ignores this as he questions why they prevented death as they kept losing the challenges. Black Hole responds saying it's for a noble cause, to which Lightning says that he can say that because he wasn't voted off.

Trivia

• Black Hole and Lightning, along with Cloudy and Puffball, were the only contestants who couldn't compete in BFB 5 and BFB 11's challenges.
  • Coincidentally, they were the only ones to get zapped during BFB 5's challenge.
    • Also coincidentally, they were recovered together in BFB 6.
• In BFDIA and IDFB, Black Hole and Lightning both had no limbs before Lightning got his limbs in BFB.
