This article lists the interactions between Black Hole and Tree.

Episodes suggesting a friendship[]

In "Lick Your Way to Freedom", Tree tells Black Hole to do "the thing", which involves him sucking up the top halves of jawbreakers. One of which has Foldy inside.

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Tree asks Black Hole if he can spin their swing around, but Black Hole says that he can't push anything, but he can pull like there's no tomorrow. Remote says he's wrong as there is a tomorrow, to which Black Hole replies that he can literally alter time and space so that there is no tomorrow. Tree says not to do that and to just pull their swing, which he does.

In "Today's Very Special Episode", Tree criticizes Pen for asking Black Hole to do the challenge for them. Tree then reads a book on what to do if they have a problem, which tells him to ask Black Hole. Tree immediately turns to Black Hole and asks if he can draw. Black Hole says he can't but he can form an accretion disk.

In "Return of the Rocket Ship", Tree comes to the conclusion that if Pillow is dead, they should recover her. Black Hole agrees.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", the first thing Black Hole wanted to do after Pen used his life to stop him from sucking his team's blocks was to tell Tree about what happened, but Tree cuts him off to tell Black Hole that Teardrop ruined their stack.

After losing all of his teammates and accidentally killing Teardrop, Black Hole frantically tells Tree that they have to recover their teammates. Tree attempts to ask what happened but Black Hole says there's no time, to which Tree shrugs and follows Black Hole to the recovery center. When the team arrives back to their stack, it gets knocked over by Bell. Tree complains and Black Hole tells him there's no time and to just rebuild it.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", due to all of the deaths caused by Two's blocks, Tree suggests that their team should take a backseat from the challenge for this episode so that they can prioritize preventing death. Black Hole says he agrees. Later, when Marker faints onto the landing pad after witnessing more characters die, Tree turns to Black Hole says that they'll consider that as Marker's save a death prevention.

In "Gardening Zero", Tree tells Black Hole to pull Puffball out of their castle since he's their only flying contestant. Black Hole isn't able to get very close and decides to stop as he could've killed Puffball. Tree says that Black Hole is right and questions how they could've forgotten that they're supposed to prevent death. Later, Black Hole says that a contestant life is more important than a plant life and says they're gonna have to kill their plant to save Ice Cube, to which Tree agrees.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Tree says that Gelatin's Steakhouse looks pretty run down, and Black Hole replies that Gelatin moving on to other chains has let it slightly abandoned. Later, when his team goes into Golf Ball's Underground Factory, Black Hole asks Tree if he's found anything to help the fish. Tree sluggishly replies that he's found nothing in terms of reviving.

In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", Black Hole is desperate for Tree to be recovered after the events of last episode. Tree doesn't come out of the recovery center, and Black Hole thinks that Tree is permanently dead. Black Hole is worried about Tree's whereabouts until he finds the latter bound to the Goiky Canal, but now as a larger, limbless version of himself. When Golf Ball and Puffball try to attack Tree in his giant form, Black Hole collects Marker to go save him. In the stinger, Tree asks Black Hole if he could be chopped down to turn back to normal, but Black Hole declines as he is still focused on preventing death.

In "Outbreak At Stake", Black Hole comes up with the idea to gather some form of protection as the zombies get closer to Tree. Black Hole goes to Cloudy's collection, which is also where he encounters The S!. He explains to Bottle that he needs the stash specifically to protect Tree, and that if he doesn't take it, he would die.

Blak Hole uses the entirety of Cloudy's collection to save Tree, first by shooing the zombified objects away and then dropping them to create a barrier, to which the zombified Rubber Spatula and Onigiri avoid easily. Although Tree thinks that they're doomed now, Black Hole assures him that climbing the huge tower would take a long time for the infected.

When Tree is hit by a giant, zombified Snowball twice, Tree tells Black Hole to stop it as Black Hole does not hesitate to use his gravitational pull for Snowball to hit a burning Gelatin's Steakhouse instead. Black Hole tells Tree that they're safe for now, to which Tree smiles in response. Black Hole chuckles with glee as he mentions to Tree that they're lucky that they caused no death or danger.

In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", Black Hole laments that he wants Tree back to normal, hence why the latter was in his original form during Black Hole's dream sequence. When Death P.A.C.T. Again is safe and the team is out of Black Hole's head, Black Hole allows Fanny to chop Tree down to get him out of the canal.

Neutral interactions[]

In "Today's Very Special Episode", as Death P.A.C.T. blocks the forks from hitting Four, Tree points out that Black Hole can suck them up.

In "Fortunate Ben", he gives Black Hole a very odd look seconds before he's obliterated by Four.

In "Get to the Top in 500 Steps", when Black Hole says "And that's how you prevent death" after saving Bomby, Tree is reminded that they have to recover Pie for the challenge.

In "The Four is Lava", Tree asks Black Hole if he thinks they're wasting time since they already found a way into Four's mouth and could've left at any time. Black Hole responds that they already found Pillow and could just take their time, along with also pointing out how happy Remote is there.

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", when Tree says that they just took Pen into their team in BFB, Black Hole says that he remembers that. Later in the episode, Tree accidentally drops his megaphone in Black Hole and wishes that he could have dropped it beside him in order to get his attention. He then uses Remote's battery as a way to get his attention. Black Hole looks up to see Tree motioning at him and figures the team must want him to fly up.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", when Black Hole says that he'd always hoped that Pillow would stop killing, Tree comments on how optimistic he was about that.

After sending Remote to stop Pillow from killing more people, Tree suggests that they should steal more blocks. Black Hole asks why, to which Tree says they don't have very many. Black Hole tells Tree that they have enough, adding that they don't have to be the tallest and just have to make sure they aren't the shortest. Tree calls this an efficient way to think, and Black Hole calls it the only way, which makes Tree give him a slightly annoyed look.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", when Tree starts to have fun bouncing on his team's landing pad, Black Hole tells him to stop, saying he's treating it like it's an amusement park attraction.

In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", Tree is about to respond to Lightning, but is interrupted by Black Hole.

In the same episode, while Fanny and Pillow are trying to drag Tree away to kill him, Tree tells Black Hole to suck him up. Black Hole is reluctant at first, but in the end he decides to do it, and accidentally kills Tree.

In "Outbreak At Stake", Tree, much larger than last time, notices a Zombified Rubber Spatula and Onigiri coming to the spot where he's rooted, which is also where the team took refuge from the infection. A frightened Tree tells Black Hole to stop them, specifically to suck them up, but the latter is reluctant to do so as they're "undead."

When Marker suggests that they simply move Tree, Black Hole tells him that the idea is ludicrous due to Tree's large size, to which Tree looks down at himself with a despondent look.

In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", Tree and Fanny are in a rocket escaping from Black Hole in his dream. When Tree witnesses Black Hole sucking up Mercury, he playfully jokes that Black Hole's real nightmare "Might be his education!...".

Episodes suggesting a conflict[]

In "Return of the Rocket Ship", Black Hole expresses his disappointment in his team, Tree included, for heading to the Evil Canyon's spikes which could kill them, along with how none of them seem to care that Pillow "died".

In "The Four is Lava", Tree is annoyed at Black Hole for allowing his team to stay inside of Four's mouth for longer than they need to, as he'd much rather be out in the sun instead of in the The Fourest.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Tree gives Black Hole an angry look when he sucks up all of their blocks.

In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", Black Hole chases Tree and Fanny to suck them up while they are in his nightmare. When Fanny and Tree seek refuge in a van, Tree distracts Black Hole to look away from them. When Black Hole falls for it, he gets upset because he trusted Tree. Later, Fanny calls Black Hole out that his strict rules to protect Tree have left him alone in the Goiky Canal for months.

Trivia[]

  • They are the two longest lasting members of the original Death P.A.C.T. on Death P.A.C.T. Again.
  • Tree is the first person that Black Hole has explicitly referred to as a friend.
  • They are the only two contestants to be on every team with "Death P.A.C.T." in the name, as by the time Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again was formed, both Pie and Remote had been eliminated -(The Worst Day of Black Hole's life & Fishes and Dishes).
  • They are the only pair of contestants to have never been on a team without each other, as they were both not contestants until BFB, and since then, they've been on the same team.
