Bomby and Nickel seem to be good friends by the time "Well Rested" takes place. They were close friends when they competed on W.O.A.H. Bunch in BFDIA, and then went onto separate teams in BFB. However they reunited in TPOT as they both compete on Just Not, being friends again.

Episodes suggesting a friendship

In "Well Rested", Bomby does a prank with Nickel by hiding his arms behind him. Later, Nickel tells his team not to get distracted by the cool tech so that they can sleep. Bomby replies "If you say so Nickel!" Bomby and Coiny explain to Nickel how a cloud formed in their building. When the dehumidifier pipe starts to move, Nickel asks if it's supposed to do that. Bomby shouts that it's not and tries pulling it back.

In "Intruder Alert", Nickel loves Bomby's new purple colour as it makes him look like a cute little yoyleberry.

In "Meaty", when Yellow Face knocks Bomby off the tower, Nickel begins to scold him for this, but then thanks him when he sees that Bomby's explosion is helping them in the challenge. Nickel tries reviving his friend Bomby, eventually doing so after Spongy helps him crank the HPRC and greeting him when he's revived. When Bomby is thrown off the tower again, Nickel revives him again, shaking sheeplishly when Bomby is upset about what just happened. He continues to revive Bomby after he is thrown again and again.

In "Lots of Mud", Bomby and Nickel share a banana snorkle, eventually they share only one banana snorkle, but ends up drowning both of them.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Nickel gets angry at Pillow on Bomby's behalf in their board game tells her that she should let him play. Later, when Pillow is about to blow Bomby up, Nickel prevents Bomby from exploding by putting out Pillow's match, and says that he trusts Bomby to try and heal the dragon.

In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", when Nickel gets kicked by Needle, Bomby tells Needle not to hit his buddy and fights with her.

In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", Bomby sadly stares at Nickel's elimination.

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", Nickel suggests that they use Bomby to kill the bugs.

In "PointyPointyPointy ♫", when Bomby collapses after he and Fries arrive on Dora's island, Nickel asks Fries what's wrong with him. Fries explains that Bomby had a sugar crash.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", when Bomby finds garbage in Robot Flower's shop, Nickel tells him not to call it that, even though it is actual garbage.

In "Intruder Alert", Nickel tells him that his purple color makes him look like a cute little yoyleberry, Bomby, however, takes offense to this and angrily tells him to not say that.
