Pencil: OMG Book! How about a cross-team ALLIANCE? I know you and Icy went your own way-
Book, Ice Cube, and Pencil are all members of FreeSmart, however, in the alliance, Ice Cube and Book are considered alternates. In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Book and Ice Cube decide to not be on Pencil's team, saying that it's unhealthy for them which shows Book and Ice Cube are not really comfortable with the alliance. When Pencil rejoins in TPOT, she continously begs for them to be a cross-team alliance, which Book and Ice Cube, understandably, try to avoid.
In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Pencil asks Book and Ice Cube to be on the same team as her, but Book responds with "Actually, I dunno. I kinda want to be on some other team this time. This team's kinda unhealthy for us, don't you agree Ice Cube?", and Ice Cube agrees to be with Book on a different team.
TPOT[]
When Pencil rejoined in TPOT (mainly in "I SAID CAREFUL!!!"), she constantly tried to think of ways to get Book and Ice Cube back in her alliance, which her attempts in doing so fail, Book and Ice Cube understandably don't like this behavior from Pencil.
Neutral interactions[]
BFDIA[]
In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", Book and Ice Cube ask Pencil if they can be in the alliance and Pencil says that they can be "alternates", which makes Book mad and Ice Cube sad, and Book responds angrily with "Fine".
In "Catch These Hands", Book defends Ice Cube when Pencil wants to pick her as the first charades performer in the trash compactor.
