This article lists the interactions between Book and Ruby.
Book and Ruby are shown to be close friends since "No More Snow!". They are both members of FreeSmart, with Ruby being a member of Pencil's alliance and Book being an "alternate". Their relationship is unknown after Book and Ice Cube left the alliance in "Getting Teardrop to Talk".
Episodes suggesting a friendship[]
In "Get in the Van", Book has a snowball fight with Ruby.
In "No More Snow!", Book asked Ruby to press the purple button which ended up freeing them from Evil Leafy. Later, Ruby asked Book to cut the rope to crush Evil Leafy who's chasing them. Then they high-five.
In "It's a Monster", Ruby screams when she hallucinates that the HPHPRCC explodes, but Book reassures her that it simply disappeared and everyone is fine.
In "Well Rested", Ruby asked Book if she would like some yoyleberries. Book says that in an alternate universe, she would've said no, but she was feeling yes in this universe, making Ruby cheer. When Book realizes that they should be sleeping and not fighting W.O.A.H. Bunch, Ruby agrees.
In "Catch These Hands", Book scolds Gelatin when he finds Ruby's remains. After Ruby vomits from lead paint, Book is glad that Ruby feels better. The two then discuss on how Ruby was able to recover herself. When Book decided to be gesturing first, Ruby appreciates her sacrifice. When Ruby couldn't figure out what Ice Cube was gesturing, Book asked Ruby for clues (as she was blindfolded), which made her guess the correct answer.
In "Start the Shift", Ruby encourages Book to win the challenge.

In "It's a Monster", Book thought Ruby died from sadness, but Ruby tells her that no one can actually die from sadness.
In "The Long-lost Yoyle City", Book tries to warn Bubble and Ruby about the side effects of eating Yoyleberries, but they don't care.
In "Well Rested", When their team is lost, Book says they can look up where the Pillow Marketplace is since she's a Yoyle City Atlas. Ruby opens her up and starts looking through her pages until she finds the location they're looking for. Book asks if the sounds from Ice Cube's headphones sound distorted, Ruby says it's just her. At the end of the episode, when the team decides to start recording video diaries, Book pulls out a camera they can use. Ruby snatches the camera, saying she's an expert, and Book glares at her.
In "🥚" Ruby tells Book she didn't get the most likes in a monotone voice.
In "Welcome Back", when Book asks Ruby if she's been recording all of their video diaries with the lens cap still on, Ruby just replies with that the world is a strange place and anything can happen.
At the ending, when Book says that there will be plenty of opportunities for recommended characters to enter the show, Ruby says "Like me!", this may not be canon however.
In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Book and Ice Cube decide to cut ties with FreeSmart and join Gaty's team. Book has not interacted with Ruby or Bubble since, leaving their current relationship unclear.
In "Shattered!", While Book saved Ruby from falling into the acid during her challenge, Ruby would later push Book to the floor in return because Tennis Ball was the one who completed her challenge first.

In "Get in the Van", when Ruby throws snow at Book, Book gets mad and throws snow at her back.
In "Catch These Hands", Book becomes minorly frustrated when Ruby assumed that both Book and Pencil were unclogging a Yoyle toilet, and later blaming her for knocking their team's trash compactor down a hill.
In "Start the Shift", Ruby was one of the many WTFers to ruin Book's look when she asked on what if she already looked like what she was. Ruby tore off some of Book's pages to ruin her look as a part of the challenge.

- Out of everyone who is/was either a member or an alternate of Pencil's alliance, Book and Ruby are the only ones who didn't compete in BFDI.
- Both of them are the only 7 contestants that have been first safe in BFDIA.
