Currency is a subspecies of object that appear in the form of contestants and other characters in the BFDI series. The most notable members of this species are Coiny, Nickel, Rusty Coin, Price Tag, and Ruby, all forms of wealth.
Currency can come in the form of coins, bills, and gems in BFDI. Currency is also used in the series as inanimate objects.

- When two coins come on top of each other while unconscious, they can make a portal of infinite money at the cost of their lives, as shown with Coiny and Nickel in "The Long Lost Yoyle City" and "Intruder Alert". It was attempted in "Get in the Van".
- It is unknown if this can also apply to foreign coins mixing with each other or other forms of currency.
