“ Aw, seriously? ” — Davids, when provoked
Davidians[1] are the species (or the clones) of David. Most of them look the same and live in Davidland. Many Davidians were cloned with the David Cloner, and others are variants of existing characters, including characters from other media. They can also be Davidians with accessories or different names. Despite the fact that they have many abilities humans can't have in real life, they have been referred to as humans.
After the 20 remaining contestants got killed by bugs, David was the sole survivor, apart from Announcer as seen in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2". The Announcer replaced the contestants with non-recommended variants of Davids until he realized that the contestants faked their deaths.
Davidians based on characters from other media (with the exception of Dora) have not appeared since "Hurtful!" because jacknjellify doesn't want any legal issues.

Appearance[]

David, a Davidian.
Davidians are crudely drawn stick figures. They are usually pale-skinned or unrealistically colored, although Davids with darker skin tones that can appear in real life (for example, Michelle Obama) exist.
Davidians don't often move their limbs, but they can, as seen in several episodes. It's possible that they only do so when necessary (such as when Dora puts up her hair) or to be comfortable (such as how David bends his knees while sitting).
Most Davidians are apparently 2D, as revealed when David flees X in "Enter the Exit". However, Dora is shown to be 3D in the BFB intro and in "Get to the Top in 500 Steps", and the Giant Davidian is shown to be 3D in "Category One" since Liy, Pen, and Bottle climbed it.
Davidians also are usually large in height, being way taller than the average object. This may be a reference to how humans are larger than most objects in the show. However, David and Dora are much smaller than the average Davidian, being dulled down in size.
Some Davidians are massive, being bigger than an entire crowd of normal-sized Davidians, as seen in “What’s Up Bell’s String?”. It seems that giant Davidians are only found in their homeland of Davidland.
Powers and weaknesses[]
All Davidians have powers, but their powers depend on the character. For example, Your Mom has a stretchy hand, while Johnson has no powers. Dora has lava resistance/immunity, but that's because she's a Doranian, Davidians are weak to fire.
Possible powers[]
- Yelling: Davidians can yell a distorted version of their catchphrase. Although this doesn't seem to have the stunning effect of Four's Screechy, it can still surprise and unnerve others. The Davidians are capable of yelling as loud as 2,763 reverberation units, which is loud enough to rupture someone's eardrums and destroy nearby plant life.
- Pitch-shifted voice: In "Rescission", the David competing in BFDI is shown to be able to auto-tune his voice to "Mary Had A Little Lamb".
- Head growth: In the same episode, the same David was shown to be able to grow 3 extra heads.
- Poison immunity: David (alongside Gelatin) does not suffer any harmful effects when bitten by a bug and inflicted with its poison.
- Inflatable head: A David clone was able to survive getting his head inflated in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2" to be a stand-in for Bubble.
- Wind manipulation: Using the "hair" on his head, David could control the wind and act as a makeshift sail in "Fortunate Ben".
- Heat resistance: Dora is able to survive in molten lava without any visible burns, which means she can withstand 700°C–1200°C (1300°F–2200°F).
- Speed boost: Dora can charge up for a speed boost that roughly takes 3 and a half minutes to charge. Once released, she can run up about 500 steps in two seconds. Assuming the steps are 25.4 cm (10 inches) long each, that means she can run up to 228.6 km/h (179.3 mph) with this boost.
- Super-human strength: Dora is able to break massive jawbreakers with thick walls with just a bash of her skull. She is also unharmed by this.
- Super jumps: Purple Girl with Hair and Angry Eyes has been shown to have extremely high jumping abilities along with some other Davidians.
- Self-Cloning: Frog is able to spilt themself into multiple smaller counterparts. It is possible they did not do it on their own, as a laser is seen hitting them from the back right before it happens.
- Fast Construction: Johnson was shown to be able to build a brick fort in a very short amount of time.
- Object Arm: Some Davidians, such as Your Mom, have an object arm that can stretch to grab far away things, or dig at incredible speeds.
- Self-Destruction: Exploding David can destruct himself due to having a bomb for a head. They can do this at will, and it can also be caused by external forces such as being jumped on.
- Purple Head Transformation: After splitting themself into multiple smaller variations, Frog was transformed into a small army of Purple Heads. It is possible they did this on their own, as in a later episode they transform back into one frog again for the rejoin. It's also possible that this is Frog's true form.
- Changing their colors to red: They turn into bright red if they are angry or provoked.
Possible weaknesses[]
- Flammability: Contrary to Dora, David is easily flammable and will be reduced to ashes if he comes into contact with fire.
- Sunrise allergy: It's been stated that David is allergic to sunrise. However, the only reaction he seemingly has is forcefully blinking.
- Ray Gun vulnerability: Your Mom and Spray Can were both killed by the Purple Head's Ray Guns, and it can be assumed that if any of the others got hit, they'd die as well.
Doranians[]
In "PointyPointyPointy ♫", Dora tells the contestants that they will "experience Doranian cuisine", referring to the islands they have to eat. This, combined with Dora's unique powers, diet, and language, suggest Doranians may be a separate species, or a subspecies of Davidian. It could be that Doranians are female Davidians.
Trivia[]
- Davidians have sometimes been referred to as humans in some episodes of BFB. It is unknown which terminology is considered more accurate/literal.
- David himself is a smaller variation of the species.
- Davidians is based on a human rather than an object, which leads to some fans saying that humans once existed in the BFDI universe, but were wiped out (by either natural or paranormal causes, or a nuclear war).
- Your Mom, a Davidian is the second character to be a (PROBABLY CONFIRMED) parental figure, the first being Cake's Dad.
- Davidians may be species who can reproduce.
- Your Mom potentially just used a David Cloner as a David, which made them a "parental figure".
- It could also just be a name because of their clothes to differentiate them from other Davidians.
- In "Category One", TV and Tennis Ball showed a presentation that provided information on the Davidians, these are:
- That Davidians are an unnerving and unpredictable creatures.
- That they range between 5 and 100 feet tall.
- They become very easily agitated and will exclaim their iconic catchphrase when provoked.
- The slide shown on TV when presenting this information shows a David set on fire with the title saying "Very Destructive".
- They have a disgusting layer of gross squishy skin.
- The heads of Davidians appear to be based off of the character Strong Sad from Homestar Runner. They may also be based off of Mr. Bland, a minor character in the series.
