The actual first BFDI animation was made on February 20, 2009, a week before what was thought to be the First BFDI Animation Ever. This animation was made 10 months before BFDI appeared on YouTube. It was released on the Humany channel on October 8, 2020 (recorded in July). It is an unfinished index of BFDI characters alphabetically. While it was supposed to show all the 20 original contestants at the time, it only featured Blocky, Bubble, and Coiny. This suggested that the animation was likely unfinished. This animation also featured Firey's Candy Bar Adventure assets that were used before BFDI began. The pages shows the character's personality and how they interact with people. The flash file is called "firey.fla".

Blocky

Blocky is a building block. He is probably the worst one of the whole group in following rules. He always ends up in jail. Many people are scared of Blocky, especially Woody. Not everyone, though. Blocky is friends with Eraser and Coiny and best buds with Snowball. Still, he isn't the best person (or building block) to hang around with.

Coiny

Coiny misbehaves a lot. He's the mischievous type. Not as bad as Blocky - but still pretty bad. He doesn't have a best friend, but he gets along with Snowball, Blocky, and Eraser pretty well. Although Coiny hates school stuff, he is great at spelling - he got second place, after Match. Coiny and Firey are enemies now, because they got into a fight because Coiny forgot Firey's poison - water!

Bubble

Bubble is a very nice little bubble. She will always help if she can. Unfortunately, she's isolophobic, which means she is scared of being alone. Lucky for her-no one will ever know, because if they're there, Bubble will not be alone. Bubble is friends with Match, Pencil, and Ice Cube.

Trivia

• The character guide was made many months before the idea of BFDI emerged, and the only people who knew about the characters and the universe were Cary and Michael.
• The names of the characters are all made from blocks instead of text, in order to give a rocky look to the text instead of a smooth one.
• This character guide from BFDI was made around the same time of the htwins.net game, the Super Short Stick Figure Show, which used the same engines used for the zooming of the screens in this guide. It was made due to Cary's interest after finding out this engine on the official website of Fred, a popular YouTube channel at the time.
• In Blocky's article, it is explained that he always ends up in jail due to his lack of following rules, something that never occurred on the actual show. Gelatin would have later been the first person to end up on jail canonically in Take the Tower.
  • Blocky's Funny Doings International being sentenced to prison may be a reference to this.
• In Bubble's article, the use of the word "isolophobic" was added partly due to Cary's obsession with phobias at the time, going as far as to make a full book on different phobias to a friend for his birthday.
• Ice Cube was revealed by Cary to have originally been an official part of the alliance, not being substituted by anyone, and being good friends with Bubble, Match, and Pencil, known as the popular girls.
  • However, in one of the later unseen Total Firey Island books, Ice Cube gets in a heated disagreement with the other members and is kicked out, following the events in the first episode, in which Ice Cube accidentally knocks the alliance members into the water, making Pencil continue to exclude her from the alliance.
• Coiny's article contains two references from Total Firey Island:
  • The section mentioning that he won second place in a spelling-bee contest behind Match is a reference from TFI 7.
  • The mention of Coiny and Firey's hating to each other due to Coiny forgetting water was his poison is a reference to TFI 1. This argument would continue in the original TFI series and would lead to Coiny and Firey's frenemy relationships in the series.
• The video had comments disabled when it first released, although the video now does have comments.
