This article covers the relationship between Four and X.
Despite their conflicts, the majority of which were caused by Four, they are best friends in the series.
X Finds Out His Value[]
In one of jacknjellify's first videos, X Finds Out His Value, Four seems to be caring for X, as he helps him find his value, which happens to be 7.
Battle for BFB[]
They are the hosts in Battle for BFB, so their relationship is still on good terms. The first challenge shows that Four still cares for X, and X cooperates with Four during the eliminations. X and Four agree with practically everything during the show.
However, Four still harms X or screeches at them occasionally. Four is often aggressive or harsh towards X, causing him to become injured or sad. Despite this, over the course of the show, Four's demeanor towards X has become more friendly, along with their overall relationship with each other.
In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Four's behavior towards X is a bit more mean-spirited. He sends X to the "Burn Center" and also makes him cry, stating no one noticed he was missing and reminds X that he only recently found his value.
In "Today's Very Special Episode", Four makes X fall and cry, simply for making a translation mistake at Cake at Stake. Despite this, X still assists Four later on.
In "Fortunate Ben", Four gets mad at X for saying something he wanted to say. X tells Four to screech him so he can get it over with, but Four says he would do something "much worse." Off-screen, Four cuts one of X's legs off, and sends him to the "Limb Reattachment Center." X is seen at the end of the episode with his leg reattached with a bandage.
In "Four Goes Too Far", X quickly corrects Four's mistake when they say the number of votes that episode. Four also allows X to recite the votes of some of Beep's team members. However, Four is quickly killed and he is merged into Donut, stopping them from interacting further. (However, X escaped at the last second out of fright, hiding in various places.)
In "This Episode Is About Basketball", X returns as Gelatin pulled him out of Fries. X may miss Four since he ran away before Four got multiplied by Zero.
It's shown that they have a healthy friendship in "Enter The Exit", despite all the things Four's done. X indeed misses Four and is very happy to see Four back, rushing over to hug him. Four tells X it was good to see him again, then questions why David is in X’s head. David escapes and X informs Four that David has been eliminated from the competition. Four tells X that he did a good job at hosting BFB, although he seemed angry at him for hosting it during his absence at first.
In "Get to the Top in 500 Steps", X corrects Four by telling them it's the eleventh contest, and how Four has missed a lot. He helps Four by demonstrating the challenge.
In "What Do You Think of Roleplay?", X and Four switch bodies with each other. Near the beginning of the episode, they're seen laughing together, implying they are sharing a funny conversation. Before the Cake at Stake started Four (disguised as X) leaned on X (disguised as Four), causing the disguised Four to slap the disguised X. Later, X hosts Cake at Stake. Four gets back at X for stealing his line in Fortunate Ben by stealing X's line and stating, "Now you know how it feels!" Later, Fanny tells the disguised X to recover Bubble, but X doesn't know what to do, so Four recovers Bubble for them. Fanny and Lightning notice that the two have switched bodies, so they shapeshift back into their normal selves. Later, while announcing that Team Ice Cube! is UFE, they switch bodies again. X, disguised as Four, makes a bad joke. Four, disguised as X, calls him out for this, but X reminds Four that their bodies are switched again, so technically, it's Four's bad joke.
In "Return of the Rocket Ship", when X asks if it wouldn't hurt to let Ice Cube watch Team Ice Cube!'s Cake at Stake, Four, in an annoyed manner, agrees. when Four describes the challenge, they states that they can't let X find their treasure because they must be X's only treasure.
In "The Escape from Four", when Four is in pain from Firey Jr's fire, X tries to give them a juice box to make them feel better. X later appears with another juice box for Four, but Four assumes that X is going to switch to Two's show. X tries to explain themselves, but Four sadly tells him to just go. X, not sure what to do, ends up sticking with Two.
In "X Marks the Spot", Four is too upset to continue hosting the show due to not knowing where their co-host is. When Four learns from Taco and Firey that they know where X is, he perks up as they might able to get X back. In the stinger ending, Four hugs X and says they're so happy they're back. Four asks if X feels the same and X says it depends on how good they are at pattycake. Four calls themselves super pro, so X is happy to be back as well.
In "Take the Tower", X reveals that Four promised to stop screeching after they screech at Lollipop, to which Four replies with, "whoops." When X starts the contest by saying "G-G-GO!", Four says "You really went for that for that one huh?", X just replies yes. At the ending of the challenge, Four and X speak at the same time while announcing how each team did, along with giving the teams their names.
In "How Loe Can You Grow?", Four acts a lot more sensitive to X. They're angry when Ruby's supervan has driven over X's aloe vera 73 times, but reluctantly agrees to proceed with Cake at Stake when they wanted to tell the contestants to respect them more, and bases the challenge around helping his co-host out by making the plants grow. After Cake at Stake, Four reminds X when they're to do their snap thing to eliminate Spongy. When X begins to burn because of the sun, Four provides ice for the contestants to use to help them. Once the aloe vera has grown taller than Four, they claim all of X's problems are solved. X tells them they aren't as they're still on fire, but Four is oblivious. In the stinger ending, X tells Four that there is still a problem, which Four still doesn't seem to get, but decides to make it next episodes challenge, much to X's dismay.
In "A Taste of Space", Four's promise to extinguish X was proved into fruition where Four said that cooling down X will add points in the challenge while hurting him will reduce points. The two teams try to do things to X to increase their points, while sabotaging each other. Eventually the teams did things that would make them lose points, with both hosts subtracting them every time. In the stinger, Four compliments X on his garden, which was in fact, Flower standing on a pot. When she asks them how long will she stand in the pot, Four silenced her. X said that she could leave in about 2.5-3 weeks.
In "Let's Raid The Warehouse", Four tells X to quickly snap their fingers to eliminate Loser. When X says that they'll scan the receivers with his satisfaction detector, Four angrily tells them not to show off, which makes X sad.
In "Who Stole Donut's Diary?", Four has the Have Nots watch over the prize so that they could help X untwist their nubs. X says that they would be the judge in the court case contest, but Four tells them that he's doing that. Later, X catches Firey returning the diary, and immediately reports back to Four to tell them. Four just scans X's brain, which X seems thrilled about, until they remind Four to keep their secrets. X then rushes back to grab the diary and give it to Four.
In "The Game Has Changed", X announces the new stage in the game right when Four was about to, annoying them. Four finds it sweet that Gelatin made a party for X, but angrily scores him with 0/10 since the parties were supposed to be for them.
In "The Tweested Temple", Four despawns X for saying "four is cursed."
In "The Hidden Contestant", Four asks X what to do about the new contestant that keeps getting on their nerves. X suggests giving them a difficult challenge since they never won one before, thinking they'd lose and get voted out. Four likes X's idea and calls him a true blue friend. X blankly states that they're not blue, making Four angry. Seconds later, Four is shown recovering X.
In "Uprooting Everything", Four refers to X as the best co-host money can buy. X then asks if they're supposed to be getting paid and Four tells them to be quiet. When X says that they get bored co-hosting by themselves, Four says that they don't do anything, and brings up X getting so bored of a previous challenge that they left the courtroom. X brushes off the comment, agreeing that they're great and deserves a co-host. During Cake at Stake, X asks Purple Face for a Cake at Stake prize. Four says that they could've just gotten a cake, X ignores him. Later, Four says that he's been thinking about doing stand-up and X says that they would watch his act. After entering the World's Largest Oven, Four is shown getting jealous when Leafy compliments X twice about how he's a good, caring host.
In "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", X is seen trying to recover Purple Face. They fail to do so successfully, but Four encourages them to keep trying, saying that recovery isn't easy to learn. X then asks Four to bring Purple Face back, but Four refuses, saying X must figure it out. Later, after the Announcer arrives, Four asks X for ideas, and X tells Four about an idea for a hotel for food. Four tells him he needs ideas on how to get rid of the Announcer, which makes X notice that "Announcer stuff" is going on, and says he should pay attention more. X tells Four he has a sneaky idea to get rid of the Announcer, which includes him going over and telling the Announcer to go away and calling him a dork, which he apologizes for. When that plan does not work, X tells Four he has one more idea, which is to panic. X begins panicking, making Four mad. When X actually managed to recover Purple Face, Four is pleased and congratulates him.
When Four notices the contestants haven't grown attached to him, he feels excluded and gets sad. X asks if he's doing okay, and Four tells him they've lost all control. X tells him it'll be okay. When Four sinks into the ground and becomes one with the desert, X frantically tries to ask him what happened. He gets a response from Gelatin, but is not worried about his dirt eating thing, and is more concerned about Four sinking into the Earth. In the stinger of the episode, X tries to ask Four if they will be coming back soon. When they get no response they get sad.
In "SOS (Save Our Show)" X is shown sad that Four is gone. When the contestants ask them to help save BFB's budget, they refuse to help, even asking what the point is anymore now that their best friend is gone.
In "Chapter Complete", X sits in the spot that Four sank into, refusing to leave his side, especially knowing that it's the last episode of the season Four started. After talking with Profily, who suggested that Four would come back if everyone showed that they care, X leaves to get help from the contestants. As everyone chases Four, X is in disbelief over how much Four is protesting since he is the biggest BFDI fan. In X's flashback, X asks Four if he's still watching BFDI who interrupts him for his favorite part in BFDI 17. When Four turns back to normal, Four says they missed X and call him a true yellow friend. X agrees that Four is cool when Announcer says he's cool. Four and X are shown talking to each other with the Announcer and Purple Face over a possible season 6.
Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two[]
In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Four and X are seen again as chefs for Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two. They are seen helping each other throughout the episode, by attempting to stop The Strongest Team on Earth. from stealing their food. Four is also seen hurting contestants that bother X, but only when X complains about them ("FoUUUR, he's scaring me!").
In "Outbreak At Stake", Four and X go on a Kitchen Bonding Retreat with Clock. They seem to have fun there while Clock seems to be annoyed.
