Fish are a type of creature located in the Goiky Canal. Before "Lick Your Way to Freedom", this was the only creature based upon a real animal in BFDI that was not a recommended character.
There's also a recommended orange variant with legs named Fishy who appears in BFDI 22.

They are simple, plain fish that resemble goldfish and have been shown colored orange, blue, green, gray, purple and yellow. They are possibly carnivores, given the way their teeth are set up.

In "Take the Plunge: Part 2", Blocky covered the hole that leaked on the Squishy Cherries wooden raft, and a fish bit him, and he flew up in the air. Blocky is then seemingly eaten by a Fish Monster.
In "Barriers and Pitfalls", some fish cameoed when Flower was flying over the scary section of the Goiky Canal.
In "Reveal Novum", several schools of fish cameoed when the Tiny Loser Chamber was in a body of water.
In "Lick Your Way to Freedom", a fish appeared as a recommended character when Donut was being flung to Team Ice Cube!.
In "Four Goes Too Far", a fish appears as a recommended character as A Better Name Than That sleds down the hill to multiply four.
In "Fishes and Dishes", Grassy communicates to various different fish using the Robotic Fish Monster.
In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Death P.A.C.T. Again revive a fish used for food with a time ray made by Golf Ball. It eats Two twice during the judging, giving the team a 2/10.
