The Losers are right

Cake winning his team because of his own courage.

This page is about the relationships between Cake and other characters.

Cake is shown to be effeminate and sensitive. Besides being best friends with Loser, Cake is pretty social towards his fellow Losers but acts somewhat shy towards contestants outside of his team.

Announcer[]

ProtoCake

In "Cycle of Life", Cake gasped when the Announcer said that there would be no Cake at Stake. However, it is unknown if this is actually Cake, or simply a sentient cake.

Barf Bag[]

In "Gardening Zero", Cake flies through the air (presumably after being hit by on of Yellow Face's rollercoaster cars), and lands on Barf Bag, spilling her vomit onto a flower.

In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", Cake asks Team8s if any of them would like to give their team an item in exchange for wires. Barf Bag gives Just Not a mirror in exchange.

Bell[]

In "Four Goes Too Far", Cake was hiding behind Loser because of Bell attempting to break the basket.

Relationship status: Enemies

Bomby[]

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", when Cake suggests that their team should get a pile of stuff for their attraction, Bomby says that he loves the idea.

In Balancing P.A.C.T. Bomby goes from being happy when he’s safe to a more neutral expression toward Cake. Cake later says nice things about Bomby and his team.

Relationship status: Friends

Book[]

In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Book watched a tic-tac-toe game between Cake and Pie, though Cake does not really acknowledge Book's presence.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Cake talks with Book and Nickel about their missing teammates.

In "Gardening Zero", Cake tells Nickel that he can play Chess with him after Pillow, but Book says that she thought she was next in line. When Book corrects Cake about the "truck piece" being a FreeSmart Supervan, Cake is annoyed as he uses the proper term. Later, Cake blames himself for making his team lose and Book says he shouldn't say that since it's partly on the BFDIA members for not telling him about the Yellow Face skeleton.

In "Fishes and Dishes", after Book recovers Bomby, she turns to Cake and asks what they were saying about their strategy. Cake asks if they remember when they feel into the swimming pool, which caused a big splash. Cake then tells Book to define gravity. Book opens up her pages to show the definition.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Book says that their game has made her want to slay a dragon in real life. Cake says there aren't any dragons nearby, but remembers that they ran into one last episode. Cake says they could slay the dragon and cook it for Two. Book calls the idea perfect.

Relationship status: Friends

Bottle[]

In "Today's Very Special Episode" Bottle eats Donut's slice of cake, and cheerfully says that she loves cake. Loser nudges Cake to alert him and he blushes, thinking that cake was referring to him.

Clock[]

In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Cake complains to Clock that Loser said he'd be on the same team with him.

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Cake suggests that they use Clock to spin their swing.

In "Four Goes Too Far", Clock says "A working clock is still wrong twice a day" to which Cake responds saying he doesn't think that's true.

In "Questions Answered", Clock responded to Cake saying "Same, same!" After Cake said he couldn't press the buzzer without Loser's support.

In "The Four is Lava", Cake realizes he forgot Clock had been missing and feels guilty about it.

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", Cake tries to talk with Clock but he's to busy admiring Winner. When Clock leaves to team up with Winner, Cake exclaims that he and Eggy can't split, calling both of them his friends.

Relationship status: Friends (on Cake's side)

Coiny[]

In "Don't Dig Straight Down", Cake and Coiny are presumably the only ones left alive in their team. They hide in Golf Ball's Underground Factory, but that area also becomes flooded with the lava covering the surface. When Coiny unscrews the garbage chute, he accidentally falls into the lava. Cake says "Rest in peace, Coiny."

Relationship status: Friends

Donut[]

In "Questions Answered", Cake smiled when Donut said it's time for Cake at Stake.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", Donut and Cake notice that there are a lot blocks everywhere.

Eggy[]

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Eggy says the seasons hosts are a real mess, Cake agrees.

In "Four Goes Too Far", Eggy says the Twinkle is frightening, Cake agrees.

In "Return of the Rocket Ship", Cake and Eggy argue over who has a stronger spiritual relationship with Loser and therefore whether or not they should jump in the same hole that some of the other teams already jumped into.

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", Cake exclaims that Eggy and Clock can't split up because they are his friends. Eggy tells him they don't even do anything together and leaves a disappointed Cake to join another team.

Relationship status: Bad terms

Fanny[]

Ss

In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Fanny can be seen sitting on Cake's head.

In "The Escape from Four", Cake agrees with Fanny when she complains about the change in prize, and follows her to stand with Two instead of Four.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Cake feels insulted and hurt after hearing Fanny shout "I hate cake!".

Relationship status: Possible friends

Firey[]

In "Enter the Exit", Cake asked Firey what to do when they had Four in liquid form inside a syringe. Firey suggested squirting it out into the shape of Four.

Relationship status: Friends

Flower[]

In "The Liar Ball You Don't Want", Flower says Cake is a hater of Loser after Cake states that he's gone for a reason.

Relationship status: Minor enemies

Four[]

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Cake agrees with Eggy when she says that Four and X as the hosts are a real mess.

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", Cake learns that Four brought back the BFDI prize, but agrees that it isn't worth it to switch back to BFB since Four has proven to be too untrustworthy.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Cake is mutilated by Four.

Relationship status: Likely enemies

Fries[]

In "Fishes and Dishes", Fries demands an explanation for how Just Not is able to fly into the sky. Cake proudly responds that anything is possible through "misdefinition". Cake's team is then chased by Fries and Puffball.

Golf Ball[]

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", at some point offscreen, Cake and the rest of his team had Golf Ball shrink them. After losing another game of Goiky's Dragon, Cake calls out to Golf Ball from inside of Tree's head, wanting her to grow his team back to normal height. After Tree shakes them out of his head, Cake pleads with Golf Ball to reverse their size but he's so small that Golf Ball can't understand anything he's trying to say. Golf Ball figures that they probably want to be brought back to normal, but explains that she can't do that as her Shrink-A-Tron only shrinks things.

Ice Cube[]

In "The Glistening", he votes for Ice Cube to be eliminated.

Relationship status: Possible bad terms

Leafy[]

In "Get to the Top in 500 Steps", when Leafy rejoins and is placed on The Losers! Cake looks at her nervously but appears to be okay with being friends with her when she hugs both him and Eggy.

In "The Four is Lava", Cake gives Leafy an annoyed look when she reveals to Clock that it is episode fifteen.

Relationship status: Possible friends

Loser[]

Main article: Cake and Loser
Relationship status: Biggest fan/Enemies (in BFB 7)

Naily[]

In "Don't Dig Straight Down", while they don't interact directly, they are presumably friends. They both encourage Woody to go through the deprecated garbage chute since neither of them would fit, saying it's the end of the line for them (for Cake, at least, because Naily survives the lava).

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", Naily empathizes with Cake when he's ditched by his friends and asks him if he wants to join her team. Cake tearfully accepts, beginning their friendship.

Relationship status: Friends

Needle[]

In "Get to the Top in 500 Steps", Cake looked at Needle in horror when she ate a cake. However, he later smiles at her when she wins the contest first.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", Cake flashbacks to two instances where he and Needle are sitting together inside the Hotel.

Relationship status: Friends

Nickel[]

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", they can be seen smiling at each other in the quick shot of Remote pulling Tree across the roof of the building.

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Cake, Nickel, and Price Tag think Tree is being suspicious and attempt to defend their stack from him. After Tree steals their blocks, the trio decide to defend their stack. Later, Cake, Nickel, and Book are shown talking about where Pillow, Price Tag, and Naily went. When Remote walks up to their team team, Cake casually steps on Nickel as he tells Remote to back off.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", Cake suggests that they should use a pile of stuff as their attraction. The vague idea leaves Nickel confused until Price Tag clarifies that they could use the stuff as prizes. Now understanding what he meant, Nickel compliments Cake's idea.

In "Gardening Zero", he says to Nickel that he can play chess with him after Pillow. Nickel asks why they're playing on top of a rollercoaster and Cake says he doesn't know as Pillow was going to explain why. Later, after Cake pours water on their Funny Plant, Nickel warns Cake that any water that touches the Yellow Face skeleton is cursed.

In "Fishes and Dishes", Nickel criticizes Cake’s idea to fall into the canal from a great height since they have no way of getting so high, no scientists, and only have a pile of debris from the canal.

In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", when Cake calls the blocks useless, Nickel tells him value is in the eye of the beholder.

Relationship status: Friends

Pie[]

Screenshot 2018-09-05 at 10.44

In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Cake was playing a game of tic-tac-toe with Pie and won, he blushed while saying "Sorry Pie, no hard feelings, right?"

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", when Pie asks if the members of Just Not are dying, Cake replies, "Umm, I guess not?".

Relationship status: Friends

Pillow[]

In "Gardening Zero", Pillow teaches Cake how to play chess. When Nickel asks why they were playing it on the top of a dangerous rollercoaster, Cake says that Pillow was just about to explain that. Just as he's about to ask, Pillow shouts that a car is coming and grabs Book and Cake and takes them to a safer part on the track. After Pillow says that Nickel questioned the laws of Yoyle Chess, in which Cake replies "if you say so". Cake then asks why his pieces are on Pillow's side of the chessboard, but Pillow shouts that another car is coming. When Cake says they can play Yoyle Chess by the cacti, Pillow says that's against the rules. Despite this, they continue playing the game in the desert. At the end, Cake asks why he's losing the game when he was winning before, and Pillow says it's a penalty for being cursed by Yellow Face's skeleton.

In "Fishes and Dishes", Cake gets tossed off the hotel by Pillow when he's announced as safe in Cake at Stake. During the challenge, he tells Pillow she might've saved the day for the team as her causing a big splash in the swimming pool gave him an idea for the contest. Pillow clarifies that they weren't trying to help and just wanted to kill people. Later, Cake is killed when Pillow throws him at a dragon.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Cake is frustrated that another game of Goiky's Dragon was ruined because of Pillow. Later, Cake is thrown at a real dragon by Pillow. He shouts, saying to tell everyone he died in a really cool way, before being melted to death by the dragon's fire breath.

Relationship status: Friends

Pin[]

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", they stand together with Eggy, agreeing that Four and X aren't good hosts.

In "Questions Answered", Cake is inspired by a speech given by Pin to the team about how the energy they felt when Loser encouraged them has always been there.

In "Enter the Exit", Cake told Pin to believe in herself (saying "Pin, believe in the Loser in you!") because Pin thought she would mess up their only chance to bring Four back.

Relationship status: Friends

Price Tag[]

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", Price Tag asks Cake if the naming process of the teams is always so stupid. Cake responds, "Pretty much."

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", when Cake takes offense to Fanny shouting that she hates cake, Price Tag tells him not to worry since she just meant the food. Still feeling dejected, Cake replies that he knows. During the challenge, Cake, Nickel, and Price Tag think Tree is being suspicious and attempt to defend their stack from him. After Tree steals their blocks, the trio decide to defend their stack. Price Tag then leaves to follow Pillow, to Cake's annoyance. Cake seems especially upset about Price Tag leaving, sadly pointing out that they didn't have a reason and just left.

In "Gardening Zero", Price Tag tries to stop Cake from pouring the drop of water he found from the Yellow Face skeleton onto their funny plant. Unfortunately, Cake didn’t notice their warning in time and kills it.

In "Fishes and Dishes", when Cake brings up how they all fell into a pool, causing a big splash, Price Tag figures out that Cake is implying that they should fall into the canal from a great height.

In "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", Cake asks if they should trade their wires for Team8s' broken mirror. Price Tag points out that Barf Bag said that they'd love it, and Cake realizes they're right. So the team agrees to trade with Team8s.

Relationship status: Best friends

Puffball[]

In "Fishes and Dishes", Cake's team gets chased by Puffball and Fries.

Remote[]

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Cake tells Remote to back off when she follows Pillow back to their team. Remote says she isn't going anywhere as she has to make sure Pillow doesn't kill anyone. Cake doesn't believe her and says she just wants to mess up their team's stack. To Cake's shock, Remote actually knocks down their stack and then continues to keep an eye on Pillow like she said she would.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", when the singer tells Just Not to go down the scary slide, Cake pleads for the song to not make them do it.

Relationship status: Enemies

Snowball[]

Cake may not like Snowball as he doesn't seem happy with him trying to join his team in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?".

Tree[]

In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Cake accuses Tree of attempting to mess with his team's stack. Tree says that he isn't and just wants to steal their blocks. Cake is okay with this at first, before shouting that Tree shouldn't do that either. Tree nonchalantly admits that Cake's probably right and casually walks away with an arm full of Just Not's blocks.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Cake, and the rest of his team, snuck into Tree's head in order to play their game.

Relationship status: Minor enemies

Two[]

In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", Cake screams when Two pops up out of nowhere.

In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", when Two shows a lack of interest in Just Not's pile of garbage, Cake tells them to think of it as a bunch of prizes that one would win at the amusement park.

In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", Cake boos Two's glue puns. Cake is accidentally smashed to death by Two's hand, who at some point recovered him and sent him with the other eliminated players.

Woody[]

In "Don't Dig Straight Down", due to lava surrounding the stairs from the surface and below, Cake tells Woody that he'll have to keep going without him or Naily. Woody hugs the two sadly and Cake admits that he wishes that they could go with him too, but they simply can't since they wouldn't fit through the garbage chute. Cake tells Woody not to forget them and then sends him off towards the chute, smiling until the lava burns him.

Relationship status: Friends

In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Cake agrees with Eggy that Four and X as hosts are a real mess.

Just Not[]

In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", after learning that he's eliminated, Cake tells his teammates that it was fun to compete on a team, not just in Loser's shadow, but as a player who competed for the team's sake. Cake then wishes his teammates luck before Two interrupts.
