This article lists the interactions between Gelatin and Leafy. Despite their only interactions in BFDIA being attempting to kill each other, which Gelatin would later do successfully, they get along very well in BFB.
Episodes suggesting a friendship[]
In "X Marks the Spot", Leafy asks Gelatin what he thinks of their new home. Gelatin says it's pretty rad and then demonstrates how the grass can squeak with his feet. The noise makes Leafy uncomfortable, and she leaves.
In "Take the Tower", when Leafy is next in line on the friendship bracelet to face the other team, Gelatin encourages her to fight.
In "Let's Raid The Warehouse", Gelatin gives Leafy her gift.
In "Who Stole Donut's Diary?", Leafy relaxes on a couch with Gelatin and Lollipop in their tower.
In "Fashion For Your Face!", Gelatin proudly shows his sweater to Leafy. Leafy recalls that Gelatin said that the sweaters gave him nightmares even though he was awake. Gelatin quietly leans in and tells Leafy to look at what Flower did to Blocky, who is still flying in the air after getting kicked by her. Gelatin tells Leafy that it's not okay that Firey destroyed the train since they'd have to walk to Yellow Face's Warehouse. During the ride on 200 year old steam train, Leafy is concerned when there's a loop-de-loop, Gelatin says it will be fine. After Leafy came up with an idea to use a clip to protect her team from falling off the train again, Gelatin calls her a life saver. Leafy asks Gelatin why he has the sweater that he hates so much, in which he responds why telling her what happened to Blocky. She gasps when Gelatin states that he heard Teardrop. When Gelatin is overwhelmed about the box, she tries to calm him down and says that Teardrop already has what she needed.
In "The Hidden Contestant", Gelatin asks Leafy what her plan is for the contest. Leafy answers that they need to find a way to get Profily away from Teardrop. She then asks if he has his sun facts book. He says he does and tells her that he wrote it and that it's filled with lies. Leafy brushes off his comment and asks if he also has an earth facts book. Gelatin does and happily allows her to use it.
In "Uprooting Everything", when Teardrop wants to add Leafy to their alliance, Gelatin says it's a great idea. Later, Leafy enthusiastically pulls Gelatin to a door inside the World's Largest Oven. Gelatin says that he wishes Lollipop was there since she'd probably know what to do. Leafy tells him that different is sometimes good, but Gelatin doesn't agree and says that her being gone would be like if one's voice suddenly changed. He asks if that would be weird, with Leafy saying it would in a different voice, to Gelatin's shock.
In "SOS (Save Our Show)", Leafy thanks Flower and Gelatin for saving BFB.
Neutral interactions[]
In "X Marks the Spot", during the contest, Gelatin asks Leafy if she has any ideas for getting X. Leafy says by using their imaginations, but Gelatin abruptly cuts her off and leaves for her useless idea. Later, Gelatin asks who's going out to grab X. Leafy says that she thought he was going to and he replies "No! I said I was gonna stab—".
In "A Taste of Space", when Gelatin says that they should make sun angels, Leafy tells him that doing that will cause them to project on to earth. Gelatin doesn't listen, asking Leafy why she thought telling him that would slow him down. When Gelatin tries to say something about the sun, Leafy interrupts, saying she doesn't know what he'll say, annoying him.
In "Fashion For Your Face!", after they got off the train, he warns her about the purple box inside the warehouse that they should try to avoid.
In "The Tweested Temple", when Leafy is upset that she caused Firey to not get the prize twice, Gelatin adds that both times were in episode 25, making Leafy shush him. Gelatin continues to speak between Firey and Leafy, so Leafy tells him he is not apart of the conversation, which makes Gelatin sad until Firey says he can be in it.
In "Chapter Complete", when Leafy is asked who she would root for, she picks Flower instead of Gelatin. She later watches Gelatin and Flower enjoying their prizes.
Episodes suggesting a conflict[]
In "Get Digging", he runs away from knives thrown by Leafy and equips Needle with acid spitballs to disintegrate Leafy.
In "Get in the Van", Gelatin kills Leafy with a large mallet, saying "Whew, that was close."
In "Take the Tower", when Leafy is forced to face Firey, Gelatin eggs her to fight, but she keeps making excuses to avoid Firey, annoying Gelatin.
In "Who Stole Donut's Diary?", Gelatin celebrates with his team when Leafy leaves. When it's revealed that Leafy didn't steal the diary, Gelatin angrily asks why she lied to them and if she wanted to lose the contest, Leafy just says "My bad".
In "Uprooting Everything", when Leafy added Flower to the newbie alliance, Gelatin is annoyed and asks Leafy why should do that but Leafy doesn't listen. After they get trapped in a small room, Gelatin yells at Leafy for making them go into the small room. Leafy argues that for all she knew it could've been an elevator to the top of the oven. Later, Leafy tells everyone how she let Flower into the Newbie Alliance, calling it so nice of her. Gelatin says that it seemed like Leafy wanted them to think she was nice when what she did was just pointless. This upsets Leafy so she pulls out her niceness chart to prove that she is objectively nice. Gelatin points out that she made up the rankings and Leafy says that they're still rankings. Gelatin brings up how Teardrop's newest comic included Leafy trying to force her to give her immunity and asks if it's true. Leafy admits it's true but only because she never won immunity. Gelatin points out that he also hasn't won immunity and asks if she'll give it to him. Leafy says she would but they're so close to the end of the game. Gelatin replies with "classic Leafster", making Leafy repeatedly pout that she is nice.
When they get out of the small room Leafy says she can't believe that Gelatin called her mean. Gelatin denied this and says that her niceness just comes off as fake sometimes. She takes it to offense and throws CRT at the oven door, asking if it's something a mean would do. Gelatin says it is and then asks who CRT even was. Leafy isn't sure and then justifies what she just did by saying she was trying to throw CRT outside, not into the door. Gelatin says "whatever" and then points out that CRT left a crack on the oven door. Leafy then throws Gelatin as well to increase the size of the crack and he burns to death. Leafy is completely indifferent to his death, only noticing that he was to squishy too make any impact.
Trivia[]
- They are the first two contestants to place second in a season of BFDI.
- Both of them are Green in color.
- They are the only contestants who've received immunity from another contestant, as part of the games rules.
- Spongy was also given immunity like Leafy and Gelatin, but unlike those cases, Leafy wasn't obligated to give it to him by the host.
- Both have accepted Coiny as currency when selling items to other characters.
