Throughout the Battle for Dream Island series, several sound effects and pieces of dialogue have been reused.

In some cases, it is unknown whether they originated from different sources or are original sound effects.

General character sounds[]

Scream[]

Throughout the series, several to numerous characters may scream when in panic, shock, or while running away. The first use of the yelling sound effect was in "Take the Plunge: Part 2", when Golf Ball was hit by Snowball, causing everyone to run away in alarm, except Flower, who simply walked away calmly, and Rocky, who was tossed away when everyone ran. This scream now matches with Coiny, Leafy, Ice Cube, Blocky and Pencil.

In "Take the Plunge: Part 2", Blocky's part of the scream can be heard before he gets "eaten" by the fish monster, also in the same episode, Ice Cube, Coiny, and Leafy's part of the scream can be heard before their boat hits a tree.

In some BFDIA episodes, this scream repeats and gets higher pitched.

In "No More Snow!" and "Well Rested", the scream is cut and repeated.

Gasp[]

A sound effect often used when the characters show shock. First used in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None", when the Announcer states that an eliminated player from the 10 eliminated contestants might rejoin the game.

Cheering[]

Throughout the BFDI series, the characters would often reuse the same cheering sound effect to show joy or answer yes. Its first use was in "Puzzling Mysteries" when the Squashy Grapes had completed the puzzle and the door opens.

Mocking laughter[]

In BFDI and BFDIA, the contestants would sometimes laugh at and mock the team that lost. The sounds of their laughter were first used in "Lofty" and are reused in "A Leg Up in the Race", "Get Digging", "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", and "Lots of Mud".

Panicking (OHMYGOSH)[]

A sound effect mostly used by large crowds of recommended characters (reused from Bomby). First used in "A Leg Up in the Race", when some recommended characters are seen running around while burning. This sound would get reused in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None", "Bowling, Now with Explosions!", "Reveal Novum", "Taste the Sweetness", "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", "The Seven Wonders of Goiky" (twice), and "Outbreak At Stake".

Switch[]

The line "Switch" which is chanted by the contestants as they have Pin move to W.O.A.H. Bunch is reused in "Getting Teardrop to Talk" when Four starts the intro.

FreeSmart's Cheer[]

First used in "Get in the Van" when the team is formed. It's later used in "It's a Monster", "The Long-lost Yoyle City" (several times), "Well Rested", and "Oneirophobe's Nightmare". This scream sounds similar to the original BFDI cheer.

Weird noises[]

The sound effects heard from when Leafy, Ice Cube, and Coiny fly over numerous lake monsters in "Take the Plunge: Part 2" are played in "Barriers and Pitfalls" but in reverse. The noises are also reused in "Enter the Exit" when Dora, Bomby, Match, and Donut are fighting. Ice Cube's line "I'm scared" accompanies these noises every time they're used.

The sound is also included in a deleted scene in "Get in the Van".

iance blowing[]

iance's blowing in "Return of the Rocket Ship" is reused in "Don't Dig Straight Down".

A BFDI chant[]

The sound is also used in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", "SOS (Save Our Show)", "Chapter Complete" (twice), and "Taste the Sweetness" (four times, as a debut in universe).

Slowly backing away[]

In "Get Digging", the walking sound used when the other contestants refuse to switch to W.O.A.H. Bunch and slowly back away is reused in "Get to the Top in 500 Steps" when Beep doesn't want Leafy on their team after she rejoined and in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?" when Two asks Price Tag and Winner to make space for Nonexisty.

Aligning up[]

In "Fortunate Ben", the sound the teams make when they enter their planes is reused in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", when Two used their telekinesis to get everyone and the TPOT debuters up to the Hotel.

Chattering[]

The chattering sound is first used (multiple times) in "Take The Plunge: Part 2" whenever multiple characters talk to each other at once. It is also used in "Getting Teardrop to Talk" when Bleh discusses a team name and "Fishes and Dishes" when the rest of the Team8s tell Coiny what they want to order.

Arguing[]

In "Lick Your Way to Freedom", the sound some the contestants make is reused in "Thanks for 1,500,000 Subscribers!", when Five, Six, and Seven bickered about fusing to make 15.

Since "Today's Very Special Episode", Four's screech sound has been reversed and the end of the un-reversed sound is placed at the end of the reversed sound.

The same set of music always plays whenever Four recovers a contestant. In "The Hidden Contestant", it plays as Profily digs a deep hole.

In TPOT, she mostly recycled lines, with exceptions being TPOT 1 ("Hmph.") and 2 ("Stop right there!"), until TPOT 5, where her voice actor changed back to Kenzie Bryant and she got multiple new lines with almost no recycling. Spongy[]

Spongy's line "Uh, oh!" is used first when he falls off the balance beam in "Take the Plunge: Part 1" and "Take the Plunge: Part 2" when his team throws him overboard. The line would be used later in "The Four is Lava" when his private jet falls from the sky after being hit by one of his cannonballs.

Spongy naming his favorite hobbies can be heard at the ending of "Reveal Novum". This line would later get reused near the ending of "What Do You Think of Roleplay?".

Spongy's laugh in "Get in the Van", when Yellow Face tells him to join his team, is reused several times in "Don't Dig Straight Down".

Spongy's screaming/grunting audio was first heard in "No More Snow!", when he was impaled by spikes. A shortened variation of the audio was later reused in "Getting Teardrop to Talk" when Lightning zapped Spongy.

Spongy's screaming in the stinger of "How Loe Can You Grow?", when he's in BRB, is reused in "A Taste of Space", "Let's Raid The Warehouse", "Who Stole Donut's Diary?", "Fashion For Your Face!" and "The Tweested Temple".

TV[]

In "The Reveal", TV plays the Cake at Stake song.

Two[]

Two screaming after eating the vomit cereal in "The Great Goikian Bake-Off" is reused in "HOST TO COAST - BFDI & II 2024 Tour!".

Woody[]

The scream Woody makes after being kicked by Blocky in "Take the Plunge: Part 1" is reused in "Bridge Crossing", "Insectophobe's Nightmare", "The Reveal" (twice), "The Glistening", "Return of the Hang Glider", and "The Escape from Four".

During Cake at Stake, Woody typically panics and starts whining when the host says the name of the contestant he is in the bottom two with, fearing that he will be eliminated. In addition, he sighs in relief when it is announced that he is safe. These sound effects have been reused in the first few episodes of season one up until his elimination. The sounds have made a comeback in "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", when his team, Beep, was up for elimination and "The Tweested Temple" when he was in the bottom 2 with Firey. The sounds have also been used for non-Cake at Stake related reasons in the stinger of "Take the Tower", and "A Taste of Space".

The whiny noise Woody makes when sinking in bread in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None" is reused in his rejoin audition in "Gardening Hero". The same sound is also used in reverse in his first rejoin audition in "Cycle of Life".

The current sound of Woody screaming originated from "Barriers and Pitfalls", but the variant commonly used today is first used while he is on fire in "Welcome Back". It is also used in "Getting Teardrop to Talk" (sped up), "Lick Your Way to Freedom" (twice), "Today's Very Special Episode", "Four Goes Too Far", "The Liar Ball You Don't Want" (slowed and pitched down), "What Do You Think of Roleplay?" (twice), "X Marks the Spot", "Take the Tower" (twice), and "How Loe Can You Grow?" (four times, the last scream is slowed down).

The way Yellow Face says "Yay!" in response to being unfrozen in "It's a Monster" is reused in "The Long-lost Yoyle City" and "Meaty".

Yellow Face's "wonderful" noise from his Revolutionary Headphones commercial in "Bowling, Now with Explosions!" is reused in "Well Rested", "Meaty", and "Taste the Sweetness", in which the Revolutionary Headphones reappear.

Yellow Face's line "Mmm... I sure do!", first used in "Zeeky Boogy Doog", is reused in "Meaty" in response to Pin asking him if they should go check on Coiny, and was cut into "Mmm..." in "Catch These Hands".

In "Take the Plunge: Part 1", the "snatch" sound effect is reused in "Catch These Hands", "Lots of Mud", "Today's Very Special Episode" (slowed down), "The Four is Lava", "X Marks the Spot", "The Tweested Temple", "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", "Gardening Zero", "Fishes and Dishes", "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", "Intruder Alert", and debatably in "Getting Teardrop to Talk".

In "Take the Plunge: Part 2", the falling sound effect that plays when Eraser slowly falls on some nails are reused in "Take the Tower", as Flower lands after being pushed off her tower, as well as in the non-canon video "Firey and Gelatin Steal a Van" when Firey's hot air balloon slowly falls to the ground.

The "tada.wav" sound effect from Windows Vista-onward was first used twice in "Sweet Tooth", first during the "APRIL FOOLS!!!" screen and later when the Magical Die of Judgment is shown. It was reused three times in "Crybaby!" (normal and high-pitched when the Cake at Stake Place is remodeled, and distorted when Golf Ball cries her first tear). It was also used in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know" (albeit in excessively loud volume) when TV is chosen to be the host, "Return of the Rocket Ship" when Firey Jr. gets 10,000 votes, "Who Stole Donut's Diary?" when Four revealed Donut's Diary, "Fishes and Dishes" when Coiny brings up the Stuff for Yourself online store on his phone, and "Intruder Alert" when TV tells Fries he can make a better Cake at Stake song. In "Getting Teardrop to Talk" and "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", it was remixed for the Death P.A.C.T. and Death P.A.C.T. Again jingles. In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", TV plays the clip from "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know" in response to Eraser's suggestion of riding TV and knocking the opposing teams off the balance beam.

The music cue from Left 4 Dead 2 was heard in "Crybaby!", when the spikes zoom in. The same sound is heard again when the spikes zoom in from "Get Digging".

The slide whistle sound effect from "Take the Plunge: Part 1", when Bubble avoids being popped by Pin also plays in "Well Rested" when Puffball gets slingshotted around the green planet, "Return of the Rocket Ship" when Black Hole pulls his team back, "You Know Those Buttons Don’t Do Anything, Right?" when he sucks in the plant thrown by Remote, and "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", after Tree asks Two, what team Teardrop will be joining.

Evil Leafy's music cue from her BFDI Audition is reused in "Getting Teardrop to Talk" and "You Know Those Buttons Don’t Do Anything, Right?", but in a lower pitch.

The digging sound effect from "Get Digging" is reused in "The Seven Wonders of Goiky".
