This article lists the interactions between Firey and Gelatin.
Firey and Gelatin became friends in "Get in the Van". They are close friends for the rest of BFDIA, often playing games and doing silly things together. However, they seemed to have drifted apart in later seasons, still being on good terms but not interacting much.
Episodes suggesting a friendship[]
In "Get in the Van", Gelatin believed he was saving Firey when he killed Leafy, apparently so did Firey. Later, Firey asks if it's time for Cake at Stake, Gelatin says that it is but Pin stabbed the Puffball Speaker Box. Firey tells him not to worry since he still has his replacement Speaker Box.
In "No More Snow!", Puffball reveals that Firey and Gelatin tied their legs together and fell off.
In "The Long-lost Yoyle City", they tie their legs together and almost fall off of Puffball again, but Gelatin grabs onto Puffball's fluff before they fall into the sea of Davids. Firey tells Gelatin not to let go, and Gelatin assures Firey that he won't.
In "Well Rested", Gelatin and Firey try to stop Rocky from switching off their team. Firey laughs when Gelatin's headphones shoot a spikeball through him, as he is made of air and can't get hurt. Later when they enter the Evil Here Hotel, they both have fun swinging on the hotel chandelier until Golf Ball tells them to get down.
In "Intruder Alert", when Tennis Ball asks Firey to switch to FreeSmart, he asks if he can bring Gelatin along, and Tennis Ball accepts. During the challenge, the two thoroughly enjoy tormenting FreeSmart with fake challenge pranks. At one point, Gelatin begins to think that Firey is taking the pranking of FreeSmart too far, saying "Don't you think we should scale back on trolling FreeSmart?". Firey admits that he's right and that he just missed messing with people. However, it is too late, as the challenge is over and they're up for elimination.
In "Meaty", when Firey is in the bottom two, he tells Gelatin that he's scared and hugs him. Gelatin comforts Firey by telling him that he got the most likes in their last elimination, so the viewers love him. Later in the episode, Gelatin says that he's sad that Firey's gone.
In "Taste the Sweetness", after Gelatin is eliminated and lands in the WTF, Firey is happy to see him back. They then proceed to tie their legs together with Rocky.
In "Take the Tower", Gelatin manages to fool Firey into believing he is actually Flower. They are later seen playing patty cake.
In "The Game Has Changed", Gelatin asks Firey and Lollipop if they've seen Teardrop. Later during the challenge, Gelatin asks Firey how his party is going, who responds he wants to make a gift for Leafy. Gelatin offers helping Firey with his gift, and Firey thanks him.
In "The Tweested Temple", when Gelatin keeps interjecting in Leafy and Firey's conversation, Leafy tells him he's not supposed to be in it, but Firey says he can.
In "Chapter Complete", Firey implies that he's listened to one of Gelatin's Earth classes.

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", Gelatin tells Firey to ignite Bomby and Firey listens.
In "Zeeky Boogy Doog", the two are sitting on the Eiffel Tower along with Book and Tennis Ball. In the same episode, they are seen standing next to eachother covering their ears when TV plays a very loud ding.
In "Fashion For Your Face!", Firey confesses that he burned the high speed train, and Gelatin says that it's "not okay" and they have to walk to Yellow Face's Warehouse. After Lollipop says they can ride the 200 year old steam train, Firey says "Yeah Gelatin, go ride that!".

In "A Taste of Space", Gelatin almost bursts into tears when Firey calls him and his team the "Have Crybabies", and he helps his friends push Firey into the Sun.

- Both have been up for elimination the most times in different seasons. Firey was up for elimination the most in BFDI, at 11 and Gelatin was up for elimination the most in BFB, at 10.
- Going by release date order, they are the first two male finalists.
- They're the only male contestants to be in FreeSmart.
