A fish monster was selected by Pin to be the host of Battle for Dream Island Again in "🥚" and "Launch Party". It spoke using Tennis Ball's universal translator.
Personality[]
This fish monster is mostly apathetic in personality, frequently expressing disinterest in what the contestants are doing. It can be sarcastic and rude, but is shown to have a soft side, as it excitedly expresses its pride in the final 5 for making it so far, despite not being the ones it expected. It is also easily convinced, as Tennis Ball manages to get it to take him to Yoyleland simply because he is "awesome".

This fish monster is first identified as an individual in "🥚", where Pin fishes it out of the water and declares it the new host. She feeds it Tennis Ball's universal translator. It demands to be put back in the water, but when Pin explains that it is hosting, it becomes excited and takes on the role. It is surprised by the final 5, but says it is proud of them. It then takes them into its mouth and carries them to the Pristine Plains, where it explains the challenge is to collect and distribute goods.
Throughout the challenge, the fish monster takes a hands-off approach and only occasionally comments on the contestants' actions. Tennis Ball convinces it to take him to Yoyleland, where it immediately tells Golf Ball why Tennis Ball is there (despite him trying to hide the truth). After Tennis Ball has killed the WTFers so as to revive them into his basket back in the Pristine Plains, it takes him back there. When Needle wins the challenge, the fish monster acknowledges her victory, but informs her that while it has won her immense power in the game, the challenge is not over yet, and it is now time to begin phase 2, ending the episode.
In "Launch Party", the contestants gave it immunity tickets to be safe.
Trivia[]
- It is heavily implied that this fish monster is the same one that appeared in "The Long-lost Yoyle City", and possibly in previous appearances of the species. Firstly, Pin introduces it as "the fish monster", suggesting it is the same individual they have encountered before. Secondly, it is apparently familiar with the cast, as it is surprised by the contestants that ended up forming the final 5, saying they are not the ones it expected. It is also familiar with BFDIA, as it is excited to be the host. Thus, it must have met the contestants before, and its habitat in the water around Yoyleland would suggest it is the one seen in BFDIA 5e.
- The fish monster is implied to be male, as Coiny refers to it as "Mister Monster" and it does not contradict him. However, it is only referred to as "it", so may simply have no strong opinion on the subject, being an animal.
