— Pencil, "Get in the Van"
|
The FreeSmart Vans are vehicles used by FreeSmart to get to Yoyle City in BFDIA 5. In the events of BFDIA 5c, the regular FreeSmart van, which was inside Evil Leafy, was crushed by Book.
There is also an updated model called the FreeSmart SuperVan, which has more features and an improved design, such as lots of lights and even a leg powered recovery center; this particular model was used by FreeSmart to finish the challenge in BFDIA 5d and BFDIA 5e. The Have Cots also used it to get X back in "X Marks the Spot". It was later on crushed by Four in "How Loe Can You Grow?". It returns in "Chapter Complete" where Ruby reveals that she fixed it.
Afterwards, the FreeSmart SuperVan is revealed to have been sold by Ruby to Yellow Face, who later sold it to Lewis. In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", Lewis then returns the SuperVan at the end of the challenge, and it is currently back in Pencil's hands.

Coverage[]
The FreeSmart Van first appeared in Get in the Van, where Pencil yells at all the FreeSmarters to get in the van so they can get to Yoyle Summit in Yoyle City faster than the other teams. They were able to drive as far as Evil Canyon, before being eaten by Evil Leafy.
In "BFDIA 5d", Pencil introduces the SuperVan, an upgraded form of the van, which they use to drive from the Evil Forest to Yoyle City.
In "BFDIA 5e", the SuperVan drives through Yoyle City and is parked at the base of the Yoyle Mountain.
In "Well Rested", FreeSmart uses balloons to fly the SuperVan to a building for the challenge. However it gets stuck to W.O.A.H. Bunch's dehumidifier, and stays there until sometime after Intruder Alert.
In the BFDIA 6 Deleted Scenes, presumably the SuperVan's magnet is used to attract the Eiffel Tower all the way from the Plains in order to retrieve the Clubhouse of Awesomeness on top of it. However, these scenes are not considered canon.
In "Respect to the Wicked", the SuperVan is use as FreeSmart's trinket for the challenge. However when Needle saves Pencil after it was flung by Fries to crush her, She accidently tags FreeSmart's trinket as a W.O.A.H Bunch member as she's cross teaming this episode. Thus casing her team to lose the challenge.
Sometime between "Welcome Back" and "X Marks the Spot", Ruby stole the FreeSmart SuperVan from Pencil, without the latter knowing.

The FreeSmart SuperVan returns fully in "X Marks the Spot", where Ruby and her team use it to retrieve X. It is seen again in the stinger of said episode.
The FreeSmart SuperVan was seen in the ending of "Take the Tower" where Ruby was driving it in order to pick up Lollipop, Leafy, and Woody after they fell down from Loser's tightrope.
In "How Loe Can You Grow?", it appears in the beginning where the last episode left off. Ruby and Leafy are still singing while Lollipop is still suffering. But, the radio suddenly turns on and they stop singing, and then Four stops the SuperVan crushing it in the process.
In "Chapter Complete" Ruby fixed the SuperVan and followed Four while he was still assimilated and running away.
Sometime between "Chapter Complete" and "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", Yellow Face bought the FreeSmart SuperVan from Ruby and sold it to Lewis.
In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", Fanny and Tree escape from Black Hole via by the dream version of the van, with Death P.A.C.T Again's logo sprayed on it, It goes through the Evil Forest before being sucked up along with everything.
In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", Pencil has bought a replacement van due to Ruby taking the SuperVan after the split. It's a shoddily made gray van with a wooden board reading "CloudYAY Mega Super Van" plastered on the side. She uses this new van to stalk Book and Ice Cube in the hopes of reassembling her alliance, before it explodes after being set on fire and thrown through the Hotel window. It later appears when Pencil suggests scaling the volcano using it, now having been crudely duct-taped back together. However, it explodes again not long into the trip.
At the end of the episode, Lewis appears driving the original SuperVan to knock Planty off the side of the volcano and free Winner. Since Lewis then stumbles down the mountain and presumably dies, it can be assumed that Winner might now own the van.
In "Seasonal Shift" When CloudYAY travels back to July 24th, 2020 to retrieve Discy to present day and after exiting the courtroom, They noticed Discy is driving away via SuperVan and the team clings onto the back of the van, Four then threw the BFB contestants (Expect Bubble) towards the SuperVan to retrieve the "traitors" as today's challenge. While the BFB contestants is fight against CloudYAY, the SuperVan crashes into Yellow Face's Warehouse wall and Discy heads inside the warehouse to get away from CloudYAY.
In "The Power of Four", Pencil brings her remaining teammates (Golf Ball and Donut) into the van and drives away from Four and X. At one point, she throws Donut out of the window to ward Four off, but Golf Ball grabs him and pulls him back in. Eventually, Pen stands in the van's path, and Donut tells Pencil to swerve. She does, causing the van to flip onto its side.
In "Bottle For Dream Island", a video of Blocky's Funny Doings International shows Pencil driving the original FreeSmart Van. The van gets stuck in glue left on the road thanks to Blocky putting snow in Glue's van engine. Pencil is flung through the windshield, smashing it. It's most likely this prank took place during "Get in The Van", as other characters in the Locker of Losers (before TV stole the lock to it) have been shown outside of the LOL, presumably having briefly escaped, along with the fact the original FreeSmart Van was destroyed inside Evil Leafy.
Features of the SuperVan[]
Magnet[]

A powerful magnet, able to attract Needle from hundreds of miles away, move the HPRC across an entire desert, and make the Eiffel Tower wobble from 2,763 miles away without attracting any other metal. It was also used to steal the HPRC from the Evil Forest when Book made the built-in Leg-Powered Recovery Center (LPRC) disappear.
Leg-powered Recovery Center[]
Identical to a Hand-powered Recovery Center, except it can only be cranked using legs. Book attempted to use it with her hands, but it immediately disappeared, forcing them to steal the HPRC instead.
Bright Lights[]
The bright lights are only used for decoration (Only for the SuperVan model).
Radio[]
The SuperVan has a radio, which causes Ruby to stop singing before getting stopped by Four.
Trivia[]
- The original van was most likely destroyed, as it never reappeared after BFDIA 5b.
- The SuperVan can travel the entire length of the Goiky Canal (which is over 500 miles) underwater without any damage or even needing any gas.
- However, due to the hole Pencil punched in it, it cannot prevent passengers from drowning.
- Pencil gets upset whenever anyone calls the SuperVan model a regular van.
- The text on the van uses the font Comic Sans.
- According to the Yoyle City: Behind the Scenes video, the SuperVan is about 5 meters long.
- Although the van is entirely fictional, it resembles a Ford club wagon
- It also resembles a 1983 GMC Vandura despite being boxy.
- The van has an AC but it only has a cold setting.
- The brake of the van uses Rocky's asset.
- Coincidentally, a real-life series of promotional vehicles created by Ford, called the SuperVan, exists.
- Fanny is the only armless object to drive the van (but only in Black Hole's dream).
- Firey is the only FreeSmart member who has never canonically riden the van.
