— Gelatin, on multiple occasions
In Battle for Dream Island Again, Gelatin competed on Team No-Name and survived to appear in IDFB.
In Battle for BFB, Gelatin competed on the Have Cots until the merge in "The Game Has Changed". He was the runner-up (i.e. he placed 2nd) of the season with 28,240 votes, losing to Flower. Despite this, she gave him the BFB.

- Gelatin gained a bit of purple colouring from Lollipop but lost it in the same episode due to getting killed by Leafy.
In BFDIA, Gelatin has a very laid back personality as he is calmer than most contestants when handling situations. He is presumed to have made the freeze juice and the anti-poison, which indicates that he is well-read (pun intended) on chemistry. His concern for others varies, as while he saved Match from being squashed by the HPRC in "Zeeky Boogy Doog", in "Get Digging" and "Get in the Van" he threw his own teammates off Puffball because of his claustrophobia.
In BFB, he retains his laid back personality, but he's more reckless and inconsiderate than he was in BFDIA, supported by the fact that he kept throwing forks at Death P.A.C.T. (although he stopped doing that since BFB 4) and suggesting to kill Bomby to his team's advantage.
He's also a bit more impulsive, especially around Donut. He doesn't think twice about doing something unless he is told not to. An example of this is, once again, him repeatedly trying to use Bomby's explosive properties to win until being told otherwise, despite the fact that this would result in the latter's death. In "The Escape From Four", when he did not get a speck of dust, he started crying. He is also shown to be a bit petty.
In some of the later post-split BFB episodes, he definitely acts a lot more childish, like in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", he tries to eat the blue dirt, further proving that he doesn't think twice about most things. He also said in "Uprooting Everything" that the reason he wanted to transfer Lollipop's purple color to himself was only because "it looked cool", not to honor Lollipop or anything.
However, in "Chapter Complete", Gelatin starts acting more mature. He gets mad at Four, explaining how much hurt Four inflicted on the contestants, but at the same time, showing how much everyone loves him.
Official Character Guide biography
Raise your hand if you like green gelatin. Gelatin is a cool dude, and it's not because you have to put gelatin in a fridge. He's a goofball who does things because he thinks they are amusing. He doesn't seem to have a conscience, although he doesn't have a desire to do bad things, either. For example, he enjoys throwing forks and doesn't care where they land! Still, when others ask him for help, Gelatin always finds a way.
Did You Know?: Gelatin is claustrophobic. He doesn't like tight spaces. This gives him a reason for pushing people off.
- Poison immunity: In "Zeeky Boogy Doog", Flower threw a bug on Gelatin that didn't trigger the poison effect on him as he's immune to bug poison.
- Liquids: In multiple episodes, when liquid (mostly water) is poured on Gelatin, he becomes soggy and weak.

Battle for Dream Island Again
In "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know", Gelatin was not up for voting to join season 2. However, he was chosen to join by a YouTuber named DegrassiFan (now DegrasssiFan), who won a contest created by carykh. With the Announcer's departure, Gelatin questions who the new host is going to be, prompting Puffball to sing "Yeah who, I wanna know" repeatedly, and Firey says that it should be the recommended character TV, who did not make it into the second season.
After Match went back to Pencil's team after a rule was announced that players may switch teams any time they wanted to, Gelatin followed her, stating that he'd "rather be on the stronger team." This makes all of the competitors but Donut leave the team. Later on, two other competitors joined Donut's team. Due to the unfair teams of 19 > 3, Gelatin's team easily triumphed the other team, and Gelatin was safe from elimination.
In "Get Digging", the competition is to make yoylestew. Golf Ball assigns jobs to people, and she assigns Gelatin, Needle, Spongy, Puffball, Book, and Ice Cube to go get yoyleberries from Yoyleland. During the flight, Spongy, Book, and Ice Cube fall into the forest, leaving Puffball, Gelatin, and Needle on Puffball. They arrive at Yoyleland after several days of flying. While Gelatin and Needle are collecting the yoyleberries, Leafy appears. She is metal from eating yoyleberries and starts throwing knives at them out of anger after Needle slaps her. Gelatin gives Needle acid spitballs to shoot at Leafy but she dodges all of them, and starts throwing knives at a faster rate. Puffball flies them out of there and back to the competition. Gelatin's team loses due to the fact that their stew tasted too sharp and they went overboard with the quantity and the ingredients.
In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", Gelatin is seen at elimination and is safe. When Fries facepalms himself due to Needle's team change, Gelatin eats one of his fries, then complains that they are like over a year old, which they are. Later in the contest, Nickel shares to Gelatin that they can ignite Bomby to kill the bugs, which Gelatin later tells Firey to.
In "Zeeky Boogy Doog", Gelatin is seen holding a syringe filled with Freeze Juice for no explained reason. His first appearance in the episode is when he is seen on the Eiffel Tower. When the Puffball Speaker Box says that it is time for Cake at Stake, Gelatin says "huh?" after hearing that, then the Puffball Speaker Box tells Nickel to go up and the contestants on the top of the Eiffel Tower. Pin then says that she can do it, and starts to shake the tower. After Book froze Firey and Tennis Ball, Gelatin uses the same "well-read" joke that Firey and Tennis Ball used, Book, who is obviously angry, freezes Gelatin, who is later thrown off and then falls into the hands of Pencil. Gelatin is later thawed and explains he has one dose of the anti-poison left, which he gives to Teardrop, after being convinced by Nickel. Right after Ruby recovered Flower, Gelatin froze her and tells Ruby to "Never do that again."
During the challenge, in Golf Ball's Underground Factory, Gelatin freezes Golf Ball when she kills Fries. He later asks why Golf Ball has an incinerator, to which Golf Ball refuses to tell. When Golf Ball goes away from the net, it disappears, making Gelatin fall into the incinerator and making some of himself splatter onto the walls of the incinerator, killing him. Despite dying, he can be seen at the end of the episode. He is with Flower, who throws a bug at him, and smugly asks how he feels; however, Gelatin reveals that he is immune to bug poison, and freezes Flower again.
In "Get in the Van", Gelatin is recovered by Leafy. Leafy is hammered by Gelatin later on when she tries to make amends with Firey, who doesn't remember her at all. Gelatin gets the fewest dislikes at 195. Later, he promises to never leave Team No-Name. He is also used by Match and Bubble to fool the Firey Speaker Box into believing that they're trees. During the challenge, he pushes Golf Ball, Tennis Ball, and Rocky off of Puffball, forcing the team to go back to save them.
In "No More Snow", Gelatin was dead, after he, according to Puffball, tied his and Firey's legs together, and then the two of them decided to fall off of Puffball into Evil Forest, shortly thereafter being eaten by Evil Leafy.
In "It's a Monster", Puffball recovers him after W.O.A.H. Bunch recovered her and she asks Gelatin to freeze everyone in W.O.A.H. Bunch. After doing so, they recover the rest of their team and continue riding Puffball to Yoyleland.
In "The Long-lost Yoyle City", he ties his legs with Firey's and almost falls in Davidland. When they are out of Davidland, they untie their legs and get back on. When his team nears the Summit, Puffball drops them off, so his team is up for elimination.
In "Welcome Back", Fries holds him up, talking about how Gelatin ate some of Fries' fries.
Battle for BFDI
In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Gelatin is first seen building a stack of forks that Bell then knocks over. When picking teams, Gelatin decides that they shouldn't pick David or Pen so Naily and Donut join his team. During the challenge, he suggests using Bomby to launch the basket to X but is yelled at by Donut, who says that Bomby is their friend and that he shouldn't use him for the challenge. Despite that, his team is safe.
In "Lick Your Way To Freedom", Gelatin uses Naily as a jackhammer to get the jawbreaker open.
In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", he continuously throws forks to Pie and Pen, exploding Pie and causing Pen to fall back into Black Hole, killing him. Barf Bag says that she thinks Gelatin should stop throwing forks everywhere. He tries to throw forks onto Pillow, Tree, and Remote, but Lollipop's Fork Repellent deflects them onto Four, causing him to punish Gelatin. Gelatin is almost killed by Four's zappies until X tells Four it's time of the intro. He is later seen on his team's swing, as Barf Bag tells her team to swing slowly, he tells her his team goes "hard".
After Donut rallies his team to motivate them, as they hadn't done any swings yet, he and Barf Bag both jump onto Spongy to propel the swing, but Bleh had already completed 50 swings, mostly due to Saw telling her team to "push through". After Four announces that his team had lost, Gelatin is seen with a medical kit and an injured Bomby, suggesting the swing collided with him, making him explode; his team's swing is also seen destroyed, and a display shows that they did 47 swings. Having done 47 swings out of the 50 they need to be safe, his team is subsequently up for elimination.
In "Today's Very Special Episode", Gelatin and his team face elimination. Gelatin made it to the final two with Bracelety. He, however, was safe with 3449 votes and Bracelety was eliminated. After it was announced that Gelatin was safe, he promises not to throw any more forks. In the challenge, his team made a sculpture of Four out of trash. Later, when some forks start moving on their own, Gelatin makes it clear he isn't responsible. At the end of the challenge, they are safe from elimination.
In "Fortunate Ben", when Four reveals that he got Bracelety's fortunes from a dumpster, Gelatin is met with angry looks from his teammates, and he laughs in a guilty manner. However, his teammates are happy with what Gelatin did and Donut pats him. Later in the contest, he suggests using Bomby to explode the other planes. Donut rejects the plan and screams at Gelatin again saying "Gelatin! Bomby is still our friend! And the answer is still no!".
In "Four Goes Too Far", after Donut said that he had Twinkle of Contagion, Gelatin laughs and then asks Donut if he meant the "Tinkle of Contagion", thinking it’s funny. Donut yells at Gelatin for always acting like he's "six years old," and he claims he is. Gelatin is the second to the Twinkle after the challenge starts.
In "The Liar Ball You Don't Want", Gelatin makes several background appearances from greeting Loser, Taco's death, and when Donut explains the challenge rules.
In "Questions Answered", Gelatin notices Fries' fries, saying that his chips were looking "swollen". Fries finds this offensive, and asks Gelatin if the word swollen was his new slang term for overweight. Gelatin objects and Match says that Bubble was looking so "swollen" these days. Gelatin explains that two of his "swollen chips" look yellowed, bulbous and that they're even wiggling. Fries states that Gelatin is making him mad. Gelatin replies to him by saying that he's hungry. Fries then tells him to go eat someone else's innards. Gelatin then "walks" backward and turns to look at Barf Bag. He says "Hi Barf Bag". To which Barf Bag replies with, "Oh, hey Gelatin, what's up?". It is currently unknown if he had actually eaten or attempted to eat Barf Bag's "innards".
In "This Episode Is About Basketball", Donut sees Lightning holding Gelatin over Fries while Gelatin is trying to get close to Fries' fries. Donut yells "Gelatin, what are you doing up there?!". Gelatin then says that "the jig is up" and that he and Lightning have to take what they can. Gelatin's suspicions were proven correct: biting one of the Fries' "swollen chips" revealed X, who was hiding the whole time after running away when Four was factored into Donut. Later, some of Team Ice Cube! glare at Gelatin after his suggestion to use Bomby to throw balls into his team's basket, to which Donut replies with "Uh-huh. Sure" in a sarcastic tone. Barf Bag replies to Donut by saying that Gelatin is taking a step in the right direction.
In "Enter the Exit", Gelatin attempts to bring Four back by bending a fork so that it resembles a four.
In "Get to the Top in 500 Steps", Gelatin is only seen gasping when Four announces that someone is rejoining.
In "What Do You Think of Roleplay?", Gelatin himself doesn't do much except taking Jordan (a steak) with him, (a potential reference to his steak house mentioned in BFDIA 5a) while Fanny is walking past the recommended characters. Other than that, Gelatin just stands there smiling, even when his team loses and is up for elimination. During the challenge, Firey Jr. believes he could be a fake because he wasn't using Bomby to win the challenge.
In "Return of the Rocket Ship" Gelatin, while at Cake At Stake with the rest of Team Ice Cube!, tells Ice Cube, who stormed off in annoyance from Bleh, that her team is someplace else. Gelatin asks what he should do after Ice Cube sits refuses to leave as she sits down. Soon he was announced to be safe with 1,634 votes but quickly asked Four to cool down the soup before throwing it, only to still complain about it making him soggy. He ends up getting hit by another splash of soup when Donut's flies through his mouth. Later during the challenge, Gelatin leads his team down iance's hole to retrieve X's emeralds, only to be knocked out when falling onto Bubble. The episode ends his with his team finding a new location.
In "Don't Dig Straight Down", Gelatin is seen playing with Naily in the inverted forest. While playing, Gelatin jumps off a tree and lands in Barf Bag. After Barf Bag is punctured by Naily, Gelatin tells Donut he found something. It turns out to be a hot spring that could fill up Barf Bag. It works, and to celebrate, Gelatin plays in the pool with Naily and Spongy. When lava erupts from the spring, Gelatin tells everyone where the entrance was. Then he jumps after Naily "nails" her jump. After Donut sacrifices himself, Gelatin says he always liked deep-fried donuts. Then he says dark humor is the way some people cope with tragedy. Gelatin is dragged from the lava by Bomby. When Bomby sacrifices himself for the team's sake, Gelatin pushes Naily off Bomby at the last second, blasting her to the side, saying there isn't enough room. When they reach the top, Gelatin notices Golf Ball's emerald beside Four so he picks it up and gives it to Four, making his team safe.
In "The Four is Lava", he and Flower are seen trapped on a small island surrounded by lava. He remarks that there isn't enough room up there, and Flower agrees, pushing him into the lava.
In "The Escape from Four", he is first seen being recovered by Four for his team's Cake at Stake. He acts very dismissively and unenthusiastic, annoying Four but cries when told he wouldn't get a speck of dust for being safe. He is later seen along with everyone else trying to free the rest of the eliminated contestants. He at first switches to Two's show after seeing him turn the sun into a spikeball, but switches back after learning the prize is A BFB, which he uses to beatbox. He ends up being one of the 14 contestants who stay on BFB, telling Four that he'll always appreciate the true value of the prize. He, along with Four and the other competitors, is then teleported to a different area to compete.
Battle for BFB
In "X Marks the Spot", Gelatin shows Leafy the weird sounds the ground makes, to which the latter walks off in disgust. Gelatin is placed on the Have Cots. Later, Gelatin asks his team what they should do to get X back, to which Leafy says to “use their imagination”, making Gelatin leave. He then asks Bubble, who says she doesn’t know. When Ruby shows her team a chest that Pencil had given to her before she had gotten eliminated, Gelatin swiftly snatches it out of her hands, opening it to reveal it's the FreeSmart SuperVan. Gelatin's team is up for voting when they end up accidentally flinging X to the opposite team with a lasso.
In "Take the Tower", during Cake at Stake, Gelatin helps Bubble pronounce nervous instead of "noirvous". He is the third to last safe with 5,272 votes and uses Bubble's accent while celebrating his safety. During the challenge, his team comes up with a strategy to infiltrate the other's team tower by disguising as one of their members. Gelatin is the only one who manages to fool Firey with his Flower disguise and passes the real Flower off as Dora. Despite, successfully gaining access to the other team's tower, he just plays patty cake with Firey and is later seen on the friendship bracelet with everyone else. His team ends up winning when the other team's tower breaks apart.
In "How Loe Can You Grow?", Gelatin seems to be confused by what Four means when he says they need to improve the sun. Four clarifies that they have to make X's aloe vera grow. During the challenge, Gelatin asks Lollipop and Bubble how to get the sun. Lollipop proposes to bring the sun to them, but Bubble points out the strategy's impossibility. After an aloe vera grows due to Ruby's 9 Mohs hardness scale point, Gelatin tells Teardrop to tell Four that they've succeeded. Offscreen, Gelatin has received a space ship by Blocky, that is made out of cardboard. Ruby asks Gelatin where he found the spaceship, but Gelatin cannot remember and says it's not of importance. Blocky tries to burn Have Cots' ship, but fails, only resulting in his teams ship burning. Gelatin's team is up for elimination, however, as the Have Nots have made X's aloe vera grow taller than Four.
In "A Taste of Space", wanting to taste space so badly, he punctures a hole in the plastic wrap and sticks his tongue through it. He pulls it back in, causing the air to get sucked out, making everyone suffocate. He is the second to last safe in Cake at Stake with 7,669 votes. During the challenge, Gelatin makes a sun angel, which later causes a shadow to project on earth. X feels cooled down by Gelatin's body projection and gives his team a point. Gelatin later explains to his team how pouring ice on the sun will cause the outermost part to disappear, making them sink right through. However, nothing happens after Teardrop dumps out the ice. After multiple attempts at effect the earth's temperature with the sun, Gelatin and his team are teleported back to earth. His team ends up winning the contest when Leafy simply dumps some ice on X.
In "Let's Raid The Warehouse", Bubble offers Gelatin some jello and he accepts it with no hesitation. However, Gelatin realizes that Bubble only gave him jello because she wanted something out of him. Bubble admits that he's right and did it because she wanted some friends since Ruby got eliminated. Gelatin says she'll never have to worry about being alone and they hug, only for Gelatin to say that she can be friends with Teardrop. Bubble angrily says she wanted to be friends with him, which annoys him since she indirectly declined to befriend Teardrop, and then has Teardrop pop her. He's selected as a shopper with Bubble and Teardrop. While at the Warehouse, Gelatin gets excited when he finds forks and throws them. He wonders if Lollipop might like them, but Bubble figures she wouldn't since she always uses fork repellent. They both settle on getting her spoons instead. Later Teardrop brings a niceness detector for Leafy. It's actually only a random number generator, but Gelatin doesn't mind. Gelatin attempts to open a box with something purple inside, but changes his mind due to the banging noises it's making. He gives both Leafy and Lollipop their gifts and they win the challenge with 11 points.
In "Who Stole Donut's Diary?", Gelatin sits comfortably in a house with Lollipop and Leafy, proud of their winning streak. He also celebrates with the rest of the team after Leafy walks out. In the contest, when it's Gelatin's turn to ask questions, he calls Blocky to the stand since he pulls pranks. Gelatin asks where Blocky was when the diary disappeared, but Blocky just makes up a prank to waste time. Later, Lollipop and Gelatin decide to form a newbie alliance after realizing they are the only ones still in the competition who weren't around when Leafy stole Dream Island. While Lollipop interrogates Flower, Gelatin asks if Teardrop is keeping track of everything with the typewriter, only to learn she's been writing a comic about herself the whole time. His team answers that Leafy stole the diary since she falsely admitted to doing it. Since that was the wrong answer, they are up for elimination. Lollipop realizes that since they lost, they need to give themselves more screentime in order to appeal to the viewers, so Gelatin chants "Gelatin and Lollipop" before the episode ends.
In "Fashion For Your Face!", Gelatin insults Flower's sweater but is later seen wearing one to avoid getting kicked by her. During Cake at Stake, Gelatin gets worried when it's down to his alliance and Bubble, but it's Bubble who gets eliminated, relieving him. For the challenge, his team uses a steam train to get to Yellow Face's Warehouse since Firey accidentally destroyed the first train. On the ride there, Gelatin and Lollipop decide to take off their sweaters, thinking Flower wouldn't know. When they arrive, Gelatin quickly tells Leafy and Lollipop about the suspicious purple box inside that they should stay away from. This does no good as Flower kicks his team into the box, releasing Purple Face. Purple Face begins to chase the Have Cots to eat them. Gelatin remembers how Flower said their sweaters are vomit proof, and figures that even if Purple Face eats them, his stomach acids won't digest them. Gelatin then balls up inside his sweater and gets eaten with the rest of his team. After seven hours of being trapped inside Purple Face, Teardrop begins testing how high her teammates scream by threatening to pierce their sweaters. She eventually settles on Gelatin and cuts his sweater open with a lock cutter, causing him to get digested in Purple Face's stomach acids. Four recovers Gelatin while still trapped in a cell, allowing Gelatin to accidentally realize that the bars weren't even real. Gelatin's team is safe from elimination since he freed Four.
In "The Game Has Changed", Gelatin is first seen as a guest on Blocky's podcast, which he calls lame, making Blocky tell him to leave. Later, Gelatin gets thrown into a bush by Teardrop as she was exposing the Have Nots and Purple Face to Four. Later, he talks with Lollipop and Firey about what parties they will do for the contest. He decides to make one for X. Suddenly Teardrop shows up and Gelatin confronts Teardrop about her behavior as of late, mentioning how she had drawn him getting killed in her comics, then actually killed him the episode prior, and then tossed him into the bush. He says that he's been feeling a bit uncomfortable, and asks if she could leave him alone. Teardrop obliges, trudging off. Gelatin thanks her as she leaves. Gelatin asks X what he likes for inspiration for his party. X tells Gelatin that he likes baskets, but after being prompted to say more, he slowly slides away, not answering the question further. After Gelatin is finished, he asks Firey how his party is coming and offers to help him with it. When time is up, Gelatin presents his basket-themed party to Four. Four compliments his party for being thoughtful of X, but gives it a 0/10 since the party was supposed to be for him. Teardrop uses her party as a way to apologize to Gelatin, putting everything Gelatin had mentioned he liked early on in the episode into her party, including cheesecake, forks, and musical chairs. Overjoyed by this, Gelatin admires the party, calling it rad. Teardrop then shows him that she had even made him a comic, titled "Gelatin's Space Walk". He thanks her, and tells her that he enjoys messing around with her, and they should just keep it at being silly. Gelatin later given immunity from Lollipop since they're in an alliance.
In "The Tweested Temple", Gelatin is doused with water as a prize for having immunity. He complains that it made him "ultra" soggy. During the challenge, Lollipop takes him away from Purple Face's tour, and he brings Teardrop along with them. Later, the trio watch as Flower struggles to grab a totem that is rolling away from her, and he grabs it himself. He turns the totem in, but Four says it's filled with vomit. As a result, Gelatin is both cursed and up for elimination.
In "The Hidden Contestant", Gelatin is in the bottom 2 in Cake at Stake, and imitates Woody's panicking when his name gets called. He ends up safe with 10,658 votes. Gelatin tries to get his slice of Carrot Cake but it flies into space like the others. Four asks if Gelatin is surprised that happened, leading to some awkward banter from Gelatin as Four stares at him unamused. Later, Profily shows up, claiming they were in the show all along, though Gelatin doesn't remember them. Even then, Gelatin grabs hold of Profily when Four tries to eliminate them without them getting the least votes. During the challenge, Gelatin and Lollipop remember the cardboard spaceship that they left on the sun and figure they could use it to scoop up Profily and drop them at the BRB. However, Flower tags along with Lollipop to the sun instead. Back on earth, Leafy asks Gelatin if he has his earth facts book. He happily gives it to her so that she can use it to teleport to the top of the aloe vera garden. Gelatin's next strategy is to get X to snap Profily to the BRB. X says they'll do it if Gelatin can prove that Profily got the least votes. Gelatin arrives back to X with a fake chart that shows Profily with the least votes instead of Woody. X is convinced and snaps Profily away. After Leafy wins the challenge, Gelatin is upset as he feels he deserves credit for getting X to send Profily up, until Four angrily claims that he cheated. As a result, Gelatin is up for elimination. Although Gelatin isn't seen, he gets on the bus to move to a new location.
In "Uprooting Everything", Gelatin and Lollipop fall into the bottom two and panic as it means their alliance is getting cut short. Gelatin suggests that whoever of them leaves should extract their color and insert it into whoever stays. Gelatin ends up surviving and has Lollipop's purple coloring inserted into his body. They hug, along with Teardrop, before she's sent floating away. After the challenge starts in the World's Largest Oven, Teardrop pulls Gelatin and Leafy aside. She tells Gelatin through hand claps that she wants to add Leafy to the alliance, which Gelatin is onboard with, until Leafy immediately adds Flower to the alliance. Leafy then drags him into a room, with Purple Face following them. Purple Face shuts the door and they all get locked in. Gelatin calls out Leafy for bringing them into the room and starts to wish that Lollipop was there, since she would likely know what to do. To pass time, Gelatin suggests telling stories. Leafy's story is when she added Flower to the alliance, which she calls so nice. Gelatin says that it wasn't that nice and that it seemed like Leafy wanted them to think she was nice when what she did was just pointless. This upsets Leafy so she pulls out her niceness chart to prove that she is objectively nice. Gelatin points out that she made up the rankings and Leafy says that they're still rankings. Gelatin brings up how Teardrop's newest comic included Leafy trying to force her to give her immunity and asks if it's true. Leafy admits it's true but only because she never won immunity. Gelatin points out that he also hasn't won immunity and asks if she'll give it to him. Leafy says she would but they're so close to the end of the game. Gelatin replies with "classic Leafster", making Leafy repeatedly pout that she is nice.
Purple Face breaks up their fight and Gelatin walks over to the box and finds a key under it. He angrily calls out Purple Face for saying there was nothing under it. Purple Face just says he lied, making Gelatin ask "What is your problem?" When they get out of the room Leafy says she can't believe that Gelatin called her mean. Gelatin denied this and says that her niceness just comes off as fake sometimes. She takes it to offense and throws CRT at the oven door, asking if it's something a mean would do. Gelatin points out that CRT left a crack on the oven door and suggests throwing more stuff at it. Leafy agrees and throws Gelatin to increase the size of the crack and he burns to death. Gelatin loses the challenge and is up for elimination. He is seen again, now without Lollipop's coloring, in the stinger ending, booing Four's attempts at stand-up.
In "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", Flower starts to remember someone powerful who said that having too many hosts is a sign that the competition is starting to fall apart, but Gelatin thinks she's making it up. A message then flies in his face telling them to go outside of the bus, which turns out to have been from Announcer. Later, Purple Face tells Gelatin to drop a beat so that he could rid of Announcer. This fails and Purple Face is flung away. Gelatin asks where he was sent and the Announcer says I.D.K. Gelatin figures this is another box named after an acronym, but the Announcer just really doesn't know where Purple Face went. After Four sinks into the ground, Gelatin notices that the dirt is now blue and puts some in his mouth, which he immediately regrets. The Announcer tells the remaining contestants to form a team, so Gelatin enthusiastically calls them the Newbie Alliance, as a tribute to Lollipop. Gelatin is the first one safe with 19,293 and is given half a golden medal.
During the challenge, Gelatin starts by giving X a basket. Gelatin remembers Saw mentioning that Dora smashed a jawbreaker with her head. He tries doing the same thing to no avail and ends up dying. He settles on doing what Teardrop did and breaks a basket against a jawbreaker. Gelatin and Flower help each other get through the third challenge and cheat at the fourth by using the Four plush. Gelatin spends a long portion of the game stuck at the quiz show contest as the Announcer's favorite number keeps changing. Eventually, Gelatin asks for a new question and is asked "Am I gray?", which he answers correctly. Gelatin guesses incorrectly in the impostor challenge, making Balloony scold him for messing up such an easy task. Gelatin was the only one who freed Purple Face in BFB 23 and wins the challenge with ease. He and Teardrop both throw dirt as their parties and grab their totems. Lastly, Gelatin, Teardrop, and Flower race each other out of the oven. Gelatin tells Teardrop that Flower has to lose since she isn't an actual alliance member. This backfires and Flower ends up being the only one who wins. The Announcer gives Gelatin and Teardrop a chance to explain why they should stay. However, Gelatin is cut off before he can say anything as he used up his one moment.
In "SOS (Save Our Show)", Flower tries to brag to Gelatin about the store she's gonna put together for her fashion line. An unimpressed Gelatin retorts that he owns a steakhouse chain and walks away. Gelatin is sad that his alliance will be ending after this Cake at Stake, and high fives Teardrop before the results are revealed. Gelatin is safe with 44,922 votes and gets a silver medal. The Announcer then cancels BFB due to the budget being too small. Gelatin figures they can still save the show if they have a couple hundred dollars left and asks X for help. X is too depressed about Four still being gone and refuses to help. Purple Face has an idea and tells everyone to get on the bus. Gelatin says doing something better is than nothing and invites everyone to help.
After eight days, Purple Face brings everyone to an Abandoned TV Station to throw a TV show to help get the show more money. Firstly, Gelatin and Flower are asked questions, since they are the finalists. Purple Face asks Gelatin normal questions, such as if he's glad that he made it to the finale, while only giving Flower questions about himself. Gelatin is also apart of Blocky's next prank, where he is supposed to get pushed into Firey, but Woody doesn't cooperate. Later, the show needs a new act since they are barely making any money. Gelatin gets on stage to say his name in different ways, which the crowd seems to love. The show's budget drops down to MS paint, so Gelatin suggests a scenario where Two didn't appear and the contest continued as normal. After said scenario plays out, he says he's glad that it never happened. The show's budget then drops to paper cutouts. Gelatin remembers that Flower had $50,000 and begs her to save the show with it. Flower eventually does so and is saddened that she lost her chance at building a store, so Gelatin reassures her that she'll have plenty of chances to try again. He also suggests helping her out and Flower appreciates the idea. Flower then congratulates him on getting to the final two. The Announcer arrives back and tells the viewers to vote for Gelatin or Flower to win.
In the stinger, Gelatin and Flower are sitting together and wish each other luck on the win. Flower realizes that Four has been gone for while and asks when he's coming back. This causes a four cacti to rattle and the ground starts to shake. Suddenly a large crack forms in the ground, Gelatin and Flower are stumped at what they've just witnessed.
In "Chapter Complete", Gelatin can first be heard after the EXITors question Four about what Flower meant, asking Flower what she did. The scene cuts back to where the stinger left off, repeating what Gelatin said. After Four sinks back into the ground and seals the crack, Gelatin states that he's glad it's over and the credits should roll. When it doesn't, he says that the episode can continue with an unsure tone. Gelatin then runs off with Flower to go tell the others what happened. Before being able to say what happened, Gelatin is cut off by Announcer.
During Cake at Stake, Gelatin sarcastically remarks the big crowd, which is one person. When the Grand Cake is brought out, Gelatin, along with Flower, make unsure statements about the cake. When the Announcer says that the second prize is a BFB, Gelatin beatboxes next to it, similar to what he did in BFB 16. Gelatin also gets excited when the BFDI is brought out. While the contestants say who they want to win, Lollipop says she's voting for Flower, as the purple coloring she inserted into Gelatin was gone. Gelatin explains that he simply died and when he was recovered, the coloring was gone, thus changing Lollipop's vote to Gelatin. When the viewer votes are being shown, Announcer places a sheet of paper over Gelatin's votes, claiming that he lost by one vote. However, Gelatin finds out, and Announcer explains that he was trying to preserve Gelatin's feelings. Gelatin's actual votes were 28,240, meaning he placed 2nd. Gelatin is sad that he didn't win, but is still happy that he got Runner Up. Gelatin then congratulates Flower on her win.
In Flower's happy thought, given by a slice of Carrot Cake, Gelatin is seen winning BFB. Flower states that she also would have been happy if Gelatin won. Gelatin is seen talking to Lollipop, as he states that he forgot he was competing. After being questioned by Lollipop for how long, Gelatin replies by saying he forgot for about three years. Flower walks up and says that Gelatin truly won, especially with all the friendships he's made along the way. As a result, Flower gives the BFB to Gelatin. Gelatin refuses at first; however, Flower insists. Gelatin thanks Flower and gives her a hug. Gelatin uses the BFB, of which transforms into a compilation of the entire season. Gelatin scrubs through the compilation, remarking on how his voice sounded different, of which was a result of different voice actors. Gelatin proceeds to fast forward to the beatbox scene in BFB 16. Lollipop finds it entertaining, until Gelatin keeps replaying it. Whilst Lollipop questions why Four could have made the BFDI and BFB, Gelatin replies by stating that Four is dumb.
Later, X runs up to Gelatin and Lollipop, saying that they need help getting Four back. After X tries to convince them, Gelatin tells everyone that they should all help. Gelatin asks X how they can help. X simply instructs everyone to follow them and to bring the BFB. While in the FreeSmart SuperVan, Gelatin asks if there's a radio. Ruby responds by telling him that it's broken. Later, Gelatin asks Teardrop if she sees anything unusual outside that might relate to Four. When Four continues to the Pillary Ruins, Gelatin asks X why BFB means so much to Four. X responds by stating that BFDI was Four's favorite show, which Gelatin responds to with a simple "Kay", before actually considering it. By the time they arrive at the Pillary Ruins, Gelatin compliments Ruby on the use of the van. After Four takes the express train, Gelatin says that they still have the steam train. On the train, Gelatin asks X why they said that Four was a fan of BFDI. After X's explanation, Gelatin remarks on the fact that Four was a super-fan and was able to host a season, which is then proceeded by Lollipop stating that everyone rejected him. When Bubble says that Four was a little mean to them, Gelatin says that they were all a little mean. Off the steam train, Gelatin says that they still have time to save Four. By the time they find Four on the BRB, Gelatin says that Teardrop can walk up the side of the building. Gelatin instructs everyone to hold hands as they head up the BRB.
On the Sun, after Four asks why everyone won't leave them alone, Gelatin responds by saying that they're mad. Gelatin remarks on everything Four has done, reminding him that they chose to stay on his show, but Four continued their actions. Gelatin says that everyone still likes Four; however, they can't stay forever if they aren't treated nicely. Gelatin realizes that he might have been too hard on Four, but Four says he's right and apologizes. Gelatin thanks him and says that everyone is sorry as well. Gelatin remarks on the fact that they competed for 30 episodes, and no one does that for something they dislike. Gelatin replays all of their memories with Four by using the BFB. Gelatin tells Four that it's been fun and thanks him for hosting, which makes Four transform back into their normal body. Four welcomes Gelatin and congratulates him on winning, until Gelatin tells Four that Flower won. Four said that he had a lot of money on Gelatin, but Gelatin says they can discuss the matters later.
Back on Earth, Gelatin thanks Flower for giving him the BFB. Flower says that they should have teamed up long ago, of which Gelatin agrees with. During the party, Gelatin can be heard narrating over the events that followed. One scene shows that Flower's Fashion Store combined with Gelatin's Steakhouse to make Gelatin and Flower's Steakhouse + Fashion Store. Gelatin is then seen on an island, revealing that he was reading his own comic, titled "Gelatin's BFB". Gelatin states that it was inspired by Teardrop's comics, asking the others what she might think of it. Bubble says that Teardrop will love it. Later, Gelatin walks up to Flower saying that Blocky and Woody need new guests for their show. Gelatin says that Flower would be a great partner, asking if she would want to go together. Flower agrees, and Gelatin runs off.
