In "The Escape from Four", she is pulled aside by Gelatin so that he can show how A BFB is supposed to be used. Ruby appears to be impressed at how he uses it to beatbox.
In "X Marks the Spot", Ruby is shocked when Gelatin swipes the chest holding Pencil's most prized possession. Later, Gelatin points out that they left without Teardrop, so Ruby turns the van around realizing he's right.
In "How Loe Can You Grow?", Gelatin questions what Ruby means when she says they can alter the sun's rays. He is impressed when she shows she can act as a lens. Later, Ruby asks her team where they got their cardboard spaceship. Gelatin says he doesn't know and that he thinks a friend donated it to him.
In "Chapter Complete", as Ruby drives the FreeSmart SuperVan after Four, Gelatin asks if there's a radio. Ruby says it's broken, but that she can sing to make up for it. When they reach the railway, Gelatin compliments Ruby for her use of the SuperVan. Ruby is also one of the characters who listen to Gelatin as he reads his comic near the ending.

In "A Taste of Space", she asks her team how there's air in the ship when there are windows. Gelatin licks the window and tells her that it's covered in plastic wrap, which relieves her. After Gelatin sticks his tongue out of the ship, Ruby suggests that he keep his tongue there. Gelatin turns around not sure what she said.
Episodes suggesting a conflict[]
In "Zeeky Boogy Doog", Ruby recovers Flower, but Gelatin immediately freezes her with Freeze Juice and tells Ruby "Don't ever do that again". Ruby apologizes.
In "Intruder Alert", Gelatin and Firey switch to FreeSmart so they can steal Ruby's Yoylite. The two then sabotage FreeSmart, including Ruby, by lying about what the contest is multiple times.
