Golf Ball and Pencil

This article describes the relationships between Golf Ball and Pencil.

Pencil is shown to dislike Golf Ball before the series starts. However, their rivalry truly starts in Battle for Dream Island Again when Pencil secedes from Team No-Name. Their feud continues in Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two once Pencil rejoins and is placed onto Golf Ball's team.

Episodes suggesting a conflict[]

In "Barriers and Pitfalls", Pencil refuses to help Tennis Ball and Golf Ball over the rock wall because they aren't on her team. Later Pencil laughs and sarcastically thanks Golf Ball and Tennis Ball for freeing Bubble along with falling out of the obstacle course.

In "Are You Smarter Than a Snowball?", Pencil writes "GB is mean" in her doodle.

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", Pencil grows a nervous expression on her face when Golf Ball asks her alliance why they aren't helping. Pencil explains to Bubble that they shouldn't have to listen to the Book of BFDI Tips and Tricks because it's over a billion years old and was written by Golf Ball. She also says that Golf Ball wouldn't know anything because she was eliminated 8th.

In "Zeeky Boogy Doog", when Golf Ball tries to explain their plan, Pencil gets angry and says it's only Golf Ball's plan and says she's bossy. Golf Ball angrily tells her to get out and then has her incinerated.

In "Get in the Van", when Match starts to get scared from being in the bottom two to be eliminated, Pencil comforts her, saying that Golf Ball will be eliminated because she is "bossy". Later, when Golf Ball is trying to make people to promise to stay on her team, Pencil tells Golf Ball that she won't promise not switch teams and ultimately decides to cut ties with Team No-Name to form her own team.

In "No More Snow!", Match and Pencil laugh at Book when she considers rescuing Golf Ball, Tennis Ball, and Rocky from Evil Leafy.

In "It's a Monster", when Golf Ball falls in the FreeSmart Supervan, Pencil yells "Oh my God, it's a monster!" and kicks her out.

In "Taste the Sweetness", when Golf Ball mentions some of her original teammates not getting along in the past, Pencil rolls her eyes. She also frowns when Golf Ball tells her she's in charge of marketing. She also nonchalantly calls Golf Ball out for not assigning herself a job.

In "Lots of Mud", Pencil calls Golf Ball "Bozo Buttface", and they argue until the Puffball Speaker Box announces that they are both safe.

In "Category One", upon Golf Ball protesting about additional members joining already-established team, Pencil shoves her away in annoyance. Later, upon finding out that her chosen team, CloudYAY has Golf Ball on it, Pencil becomes rather dismayed about it.

In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", Pencil ignores Golf Ball's pleas like the rest of her team. Later in the episode, when CloudYAY is in Golf Ball's drill and it malfunctions, Pencil mocks Golf Ball by calling her invention bad. After this, Golf Ball insults Pencil's van, and they get into a slap fight similar to Firey and Coiny's.

Episodes suggesting a friendship[]

In "Get Digging", when Pencil warns the contestants who were riding on Puffball about Evil Leafy, Golf Ball says "Yeah, listen to Pencil".

In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", When Pencil enters Golf Ball's drill, she calls her drill great.

Trivia[]

Both characters are voiced by Michael Huang.
They are both female characters from season 1 competing on CloudYAY.
They could be considered "team leaders", as Golf Ball is the leader of Team No-Name, The Beautiful Face Devotion Institute, A Better Name Than That, and Are You Okay, and Pencil is the leader of FreeSmart and iance.
They are the lowest ranking contestants to surpass their ranks in BFDI in BFDIA.
Both are hated by most characters in TPOT. Golf Ball due to being bossy and Pencil due to almost causing the destruction of the universe.
