Gumdrops are a food substance that appeared in BFDIA and IDFB.

Gumdrops are jelly-like objects that are edible. They appear in many different colors, such as red, blue, green, purple, cyan, pink, yellow and orange.
In all the many appearances of them throughout the show, they've been showed every time with Ruby eating or using them.

"It's a Monster" (BFDIA 5d)[]
The gumdrops are playfully referenced in the credits, during the release date announcement for BFDIA 5e. The creators mention that they are willing to give up gumdrops to get the episode out on time.
"The Long-lost Yoyle City" (BFDIA 5e)[]
Again, they don't appear in the episode itself, but were again referenced in the end credits, where the creators mention that they didn't have to give up gumdrops.
"Insectophobe's Nightmare 4" (BFDIA 12)[]
In a flashback Ruby is seen eating them.

Book and Ruby use the gumdrops in order to attract the bugs to a certain part of the stage so they're crushed by Spongy for revenge on killing Pencil, Fries takes some and shoves them on his fries. Fries repeatedly uses his fries sweetened by the gumdrops to give Bomby so he does what he asks him to do.
"Welcome Back" (IDFB 1)[]
In "Welcome Back", only two appearances of Gumdrops are shown, for the first physical appearance in the show.

In the beginning scene, team FreeSmart (including members Ruby, Pencil, Bubble, Book, and Ice Cube) are filming their video diary, as they were going to film themselves eating the Gumdrops they had collected over the years. This is short-lived, however, as Pencil realizes that Ruby forgot to take the lens cap off the camera. Bubble explains to her what a lens cap is, but Pencil becomes distraught that they had been recording a black screen all this time for the past 3 years.
In another scene, Bubble and Ruby are shown eating the gumdrops in a rapid manner, while Pencil still is distraught over the video diary.
So far, this has been their only physical appearance.
