The information in the article below contains spoilers for the BFDI series. Please watch the episode(s) if you have not seen them yet.

So who's the host gonna be?

The hosts are the characters who run the show. This article lists all the hosts in BFDI, BFDIA, IDFB, BFB, and TPOT, as well as hosts that didn’t host seasons and characters that were thought to be hosts.

Battle for Dream Island[]

Announcer (BFDI 1-22, 24-25)[]

Speaker2

The Announcer is the main host of Battle for Dream Island. He debuted in the first episode after falling out of the sky to announce about his new object show. He is a dark-gray speaker box, with a robotic voice.

In "Don't Pierce My Flesh", he was destroyed and couldn't host the show as a result. However, he returned in "Hurtful!", and remained the host for the rest of the season.

In Return of the Hang Glider, he leaves Earth. He does not return back to the contestants to host BFDIA but does stay near them. He contacts TV to take care of the show for him. He doesn't come back to host IDFB either but returns in post-split BFB in the episode "Chapter Complete" either as a co-host, or a co-co-host, or a co-co-co-host.

Firey Speaker Box (23)[]

RSB

The Firey Speaker Box is a replacement speaker box created by Firey. He was the Announcer's replacement after he was destroyed in "Don't Pierce My Flesh", and he co-hosted, along with the Flower Speaker Box. He is shown to be less capable as the Announcer, as well as biased toward his creator.

In "Hurtful!", the old announcer came back and took over hosting duties, and the Firey Speaker Box isn't present for the rest of the season, though he later returns to host in BFDIA.

In "Questions Answered" he was chopped into seven pieces by Donut when he hosted Cake at Stake, this possibly due to the fact Firey Speaker box did the same to him.

Flower Speaker Box (23)[]

Flower box

The Flower Speaker Box is a replacement speaker box created by Flower. She was the Announcer's replacement after he was destroyed in "Don't Pierce My Flesh" and she co-hosted, along with the Firey Speaker Box. She is shown to be less capable as the Announcer, as well as being biased toward her creator.

She was killed by a bowling ball that her creator, Flower, threw in "Hurtful!". After that, the Firey Speaker Box took over hosting duties, until the Announcer returned.

Co-hosts in BFDI 23[]

82B252C5-AFEF-4437-B78E-44DEB000425D

"Hurtful!"'s Cake at Stake was co-hosted by Firey Speaker Box's Clone, Hexagon Speaker Box, Triangle Speaker Box, Purple Round Speaker, Cheese Orb, and Spike Ball Speaker Box.

Battle for Dream Island Again[]

TV (BFDIA 1-3)[]

I think TV should be the host!

TV Stand2

TV was the first host in Battle for Dream Island Again, although he was supposed to be in the Locker of Losers because he was a contestant. But Firey chose him to be the host, since he was the most similar to the Announcer. He doesn't talk, instead, he communicates through the visuals on his screen and sound effects. He is also known for having underwhelming Cake at Stake themes.

While he was replaced by the Puffball Speaker Box (and later the Firey Speaker Box) as the host, TV continued to display the likes and dislikes for eliminations.

However, in "Intruder Alert" Firey Speaker Box sent him to the Locker of Losers, due to the contestants hating his Cake at Stake theme.

Firey Speaker Box (5a-7)[]

RSB

The Firey Speaker Box returns as the host in "Get in the Van".

After the Puffball Speaker Box is killed, Firey suggests they use his. The Firey Speaker Box remains the same as he did in BFDI, although he is more capable of running the show and less biased toward Firey.

In "Meaty", Firey Speaker Box was unable to host due to his owner getting eliminated, causing him to sob uncontrollably.

In IDFB, he has seemingly disappeared, leaving no one to host the show.

Puffball Speaker Box (4, 8-10)[]

Puffbox

The Puffball Speaker Box is another host of BFDIA. She was won by Puffball as a Cake at Stake prize in BFDIA 3 and immediately took over hosting duties. She is very sassy and impatient, yelling and insulting the contestants. She was built by the Announcer, which the fact was mentioned in “Chapter Complete”. (BFB 30)

However, in "Get in the Van", she was unintentionally stabbed and killed by Pin (in an attempt to kill Leafy). Firey suggested that she should be replaced with his own Speaker Box.

In "Meaty", Pencil removed the knife from her body with a magnet. She returned to hosting, replacing Firey Speaker Box.

She kept hosting until "Lots of Mud", when she got crushed by Spongy and died.

BFDIA Flower

Flower (11-12)[]

Flower started hosting in "Lots of Mud", since Puffball Speaker Box died, Golf Ball accidentally called her so she would host the season.

She kept hosting until "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4", when she got crushed by Spongy and died.

Bugs (12-14)[]

Bugs

The Bugs started hosting in Insectophobe's Nightmare 4 after Flower died from being crushed by Spongy. Golf Ball called Flower's most recent contact, but accidentally called the bugs. A purple-spotted bug appears at the end. In BFDIA 13, the bugs ask Needle, Ruby, and Ruby's sisters to recover all the other contestants before starting Cake at Stake. Instead, the contestants performed the elimination ceremony without the Bugs.

The LOL (14-16)[]

New assets!1!1!

Due to the Bugs killing Pencil due to improper Cake at Stake etiquette, they decide to lure the Bugs to a spot where Spongy will fall using sugar and gumdrops. After the Bugs untimely death, Golf Ball decides to call one of the Bugs contacts labeled "My Next Meal", leading to Barf Bag picking up the phone. Everyone in the Locker of Losers then argue about who should host, leading Coiny to suggest all of the trapped debuters/eliminated contestants in the LOL to host. The most notable hosts in the LOL are Barf Bag, Donut, Dora, Teardrop, Match, and Puffball, who hosted their respective islands, or the elimination in the bottom two for the former. All of these contestants hosted in PointyPointyPointy ♫ and Spore Day together. along with the others who have lines and take part of the hosting.

BalloonyIDFB Pose

Balloony (16-17)[]

Due to "The last few challenges being way too chaotic with everyone hosting" according to Balloony, Balloony decides to host himself in Respect to the Wicked while taping everyone else in the LOL.

His hosting ended in "Start the Shift", after the others tried using Spongy to crush the LOL.

The WTF contestants (17-18)[]

Before Balloony leaves Yoyleland, he calls someone to host and then leaves. Soon Firey and the rest of the WTFers came to host this episode's challenge.

Bfdia17WTFers

Some of the WTFers

After Pencil was eliminated, she joins the other WTFers in hosting.

In "Airplanes in the Night Sky", the eliminated FreeSmarters and Firey and Gelatin leave the WTF and continue hosting on the Faraway Flatlands, while Rocky, Yellow Face, Golf Ball, Bomby, and Nickel stay in the WTF.

Fish Monster (19)[]

The Fish Monster started hosting after the WTFer followed Fries into a lake, while trying to convince him to host with them once he was eliminated (while Pin was behind them). She got out of the water to reveal the fish monster is the new host. Tennis Ball complained that they can't understand it, then Pin suggested that they can use his Universal Translator, so the contestants can understand him. A different host will take its place in BFDIA 20.

Battle for BFDI/BFB[]

Four (BFB 1-5, 10-28)[]

Four intro

Four was the host of Battle for BFDI/BFB. He acts as the host, the Recovery Centers, and the TLC/LOL (which is now replaced with the "EXIT" (Eternal Algebra Class Withfour)). Four is known to screech and has very odd mannerisms, rarely responding to anybody who speaks to him. He also can zap and kill other people.

However, in "Four Goes Too Far", he was multiplied by zero, causing him to disappear, with Donut taking his place.

He eventually returns in "Enter the Exit" and continued hosting the season.

After the Announcer's return and attempt to take back his competition in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", Four would sink into the ground and quit hosting for the rest of the season.

X (9)[]

XPoseBFB13

X is the co-host (and former main host) of Battle for BFDI/BFB. He usually obeys what Four says, not doing much else.

In "Four Goes Too Far", he was used in an equation to multiply his co-host, Four, by zero. Both hosts disappeared after this, until "This Episode Is About Basketball" in which X reappeared after Gelatin bit him, and gained the role as host. He was at first very inexperienced, constantly making small errors. However, in "Enter the Exit", X gained confidence in hosting the show due in part to reassurance from Donut. Four returned in "Enter the Exit", which made X his co-host again.

X quit hosting in "The Escape from Four" to be with Two, who would split the competition in two. He would then be brought back during the next episode, "X Marks the Spot" as a challenge by Four.

Donut (6-8)[]

Donut C Open

When A Better Name Than That crashed into Four and Donut in "Four Goes Too Far", Donut became the host, as 4(0) = 0. Tennis Ball and Golf Ball said Donut should be the host because he was the one that was multiplied by Four.

Due to him still being a contestant on Team Ice Cube!, he clearly acted biased toward them and rigged challenges to prevent them from losing, thus preventing him from getting eliminated. He is also the reason why Stapy got eliminated, and Match almost getting eliminated due to being biased towards his team in "BFB 8".

In "This Episode Is About Basketball", after getting tired of hosting, Donut gave the role to X, who was hiding inside of Fries.

Announcer (28-30)[]

Announcer Front Vibrating0010

The Announcer once again appeared in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning". In the stinger for the previous episode, the same sound that was heard in the stinger of Rescission can be heard again, signifying his return. The Announcer returns to take back his show from Four in BFB.

Purple Face (27)[]

PurpleFaceNewPose

X made Purple Face his co-host because "greatness need a co-host" in Uprooting Everything.

Despite this, Four treats Purple Face badly, leaving him in The World's Largest Oven, intentionally killing him.

He is also known as the BFB Co-Co-Host.

HelloKevin[]

Hello Kevin

HelloKevin is the host of "BFDI APPISIOTE 225555555!!!!!", the one-off joke-episode of BFDI. It is a slipper with a Hello Kitty-esque character on it named "Hello Kevin".

Little is known about them (seeing as how it never talked in the video), but it had seemingly taken the place of the Announcer for the single episode for unknown reasons.

Text[]

CharText

Text is the host of "ABCDEFG", a spin-off uploaded on the carykh channel.

The instructions[]

Instructions

Despite not appearing to be sentient, contestants of BFDI Mini are seen following its challenge instructions, even considering it "important" when Pencil knocked it away in "Seasonal Shift", this technically makes it the host of all BFDI Mini seasons.

VR Headset[]

Thingy

VR Headset is a character that did not appear in the show, but in a tweet in jacknjellify's Twitter account.[1] They resembles a virtual reality headset. Their "lenses" can act as 2 separate faces and a mouth. According to a tweet, they are "a host with a screen". The two lenses also have different emotions.

5132

The character was shown during the production of BFB. They may have been the original host of BFB, given the tweet description, but was replaced by Four and X.

VR Headset made cameo appearances as a recommended character in "Return of the Rocket Ship", "Don't Dig Straight Down", "The Four is Lava", and "X Marks the Spot".

Sometime after the VR Headset post was posted in jacknjellify's Twitter, Satomi clarified VR Headset was never meant to be a host or any sort of character, and was drawn simply because Michael thought they would be cool to draw.

They would later appear as a host during the events of "Seasonal Shift".
