Jack Frew is a character who was originally created for "I Can Make a Difference!", which is a short animation about recycling made by Michael Huang in fourth grade. He also appears in "Lots of Mud" as an April Fools Joke, and "The Four is Lava" as a recommended character.
Appearance[]
Jack Frew is a young boy with blonde hair and conjoined eyes. He wears a green shirt. He also has blue shorts.
Personallity[]
Jack Frew is shown to be an average kid who is very oriented on the well being of Earth. He doesn't like it when his like for mud (as a food) gets insulted by people and will proceed to harm them, as shown when he shakes Fries violently when he said he disliked mud.

Pre-BFDI[]
In "I Can Make a Difference!", Jack is the main character and contributes to helping clean up littering, and at the end, he reads an essay out to his class about how anyone can make a difference.
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
Jack makes a brief cameo in the opening to "Lots of Mud", where Fries greets him by name and asks what's up, to which Jack replies with "This candy wrapper!" After making a sarcastic remark in response, Fries asks Jack whether he's had lunch yet, with Jack responding that he had lots of mud, much to Fries' disgust. After grabbing Fries and rapidly shaking him, to which he shows amazement at due to his own strength, he says "April Fools!" at the viewers before dissolving for reasons unknown while his ear drops and his hair blows away from the wind.
Jack is shown in a picture taken by Tennis Ball in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4", later mentioned by Nickel who called them "Jack and Jelly Fries".

- Jack is one of the only human characters to appear in the BFDI series outside of recommended characters.
- Jack and his brother Jellify are the two characters that the jacknjellify channel is named after.
- Jack is the third character originally made for a school project (and the first chronologically) to appear in the BFDI series, following Four and X.[1]
- Most of Jack's dialogue in "Lots of Mud" is made of reused dialogue from "I Can Make a Difference!". His "April Fools" Line is made of spliced syllables to make a sentence. This is a technique commonly used in YTPs and YTPMVs and is called sentence/voice mixing.
- Jack is seen with four fingers when he says the lines "Yes" and "Lots of mud", but when he says "April Fools", his left hand has five fingers.
- It's unknown if Jack actually died when he disintegrated into the air.
- Jack's voice is similar to Match's early voice in Take The Plunge.
- Jack is technically the first BFDI character to be created, since he was first created in 2007, whilst Firey was created in 2008.
