This is an overview of the recommended characters who were eligible to debut for Battle for Dream Island Again. See the respective character's articles for more detailed information.
Black Hole[]
- Main article: Black Hole
Black Hole is a male contestant on Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two. He was first seen in "Gardening Hero" (known as "Vortex" back then), pulling Spongy in, and eventually being sold because of budget cuts. He is a former recommended character that could have participated in BFDIA. However, Black Hole only received 269 votes and was sent to the TLC.
He also had another chance of joining the game in IDFB, until it was postponed. He got 323 votes, placing him 10th.
Black Hole competed in BFB on Death P.A.C.T.
Black Hole currently competes in TPOT on Death P.A.C.T. Again.
Bottle[]

Bottle is a female contestant on Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two. She was one of the former recommended characters who were eligible to compete in BFDIA; however, she only received 29 votes, coming in 58th place, above Bracelety, who was the lowest with 18 votes to join. She didn't receive anywhere near enough votes to join the game, so she was flung to the Locker of Losers with the Sender Scoop Thrower, along with the other contestants who didn't make it.
There are multiple versions of Bottle: a clear "Bottle", recommended both by VRTBV and jaysillyboy, and a sky blue "Bottley" recommended by KINOARR65, and a "Blue Water Bottle" with Bottley's idle and blue water, recommended by KittyandSammi. VRTBV's Bottle appeared in "Don't Lose Your Marbles", jaysillyboy's Bottle appeared in "Vomitaco", Kalasi97's Bottle appeared in "Rescission", and KINOFARR65's Bottley and KittyandSammi's Blue Water Bottle appeared in "Bowling, Now with Explosions!".
Bottle's IDFB redesign features a more glassy, wide look on her, as well as being transparent. Her asset is no longer badly drawn.
Bottle had a chance to rejoin IDFB along with the other TLC prisoners. She only got 30 votes, the least out of everyone else.
Bottle finally became a contestant in BFB and competed on the team Death P.A.C.T., but later quit to compete in TPOT.
In TPOT, she competes on the team The S!.
Bracelety[]

Bracelety is a female contestant in Battle for BFDI and a former recommended character who made her debut in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None". She was a member of Team Ice Cube! before being eliminated in "Today's Very Special Episode". She also appears in The Power of Two.
Bracelety could have joined BFDIA in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know", but she placed last, only receiving 18 votes, the lowest out of all of the other eligible BFDIA contestants, making her unable to join, and was flung with the Sender Scoop Thrower to the Locker of Losers along with all of the other characters who failed to join BFDIA.
Bracelety's IDFB redesign features a sky blue color and a more two-dimensional look.
Bracelety, along with the other TLC prisoners, had a chance to rejoin in "Welcome Back" until it was revealed that it was replaced by BFB. Despite the indefinite delay of IDFB 2, she got 32 votes.
She briefly competed in Battle for BFDI as a member of Team Ice Cube!, but was eliminated four episodes in.
Cake[]

Cake is a male contestant on Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two. He first appeared as a recommended character in "Cycle of Life", when Announcer said there was no Cake at Stake.
Cake had a chance to compete in BFDIA, but only received 134 votes, and got flung to the Locker of Losers.
Cake's IDFB redesign features Cake as a slice of chocolate cake, along with a puff of frosting on top and a frosting rim that is strawberry flavored.
Cake had a chance to rejoin the show in "Welcome Back". He got 138 votes, tying with Grassy.
Cake competed with The Losers! on Battle for BFDI.
Cake is competing on TPOT and is on Just Not.
Donut[]
- Main article: Donut
Donut is a male contestant in Battle for Dream Island Again, Battle for BFDI, and The Power of Two. He was the first person to be eliminated in BFDIA, with 573 dislikes. His record of dislikes was later broken by Puffball with 1,455 dislikes in episode 6. Donut, Coiny, and Pin created W.O.A.H. Bunch, but Donut was eliminated shortly after.
He had a chance to be released from the TLC in IDFB 1. He got 115 votes.
Donut came back in Battle for BFDI as a contestant and competed as a member of Team Ice Cube!. After the loss of Four, Donut became the show's substitute host in "Four Goes Too Far", until it was revealed that X was still around. Donut retired his host status to X in "This Episode Is About Basketball". He has since quit BFB in order to compete on The Power of Two for Team8s.
Firey Jr.[]

Firey Jr. (also known as Firey Junior) is a male contestant in Battle for BFDI.
He was a recommended character who first appeared in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None" along with other recommended characters, and jumped in a vat of hydrochloric acid.
He reappeared as one of the characters who people could vote for to join BFDIA, but with only 179 votes, he wasn't qualified to join and was therefore flung to the TLC.
He had another chance at joining the game in IDFB. However, he got 1,374 votes and failed. His new asset features him with thicker outlines and no hand and feet on his arms. This asset is however not used in the voting screen in "Welcome Back".
Firey Jr. appears in Battle for BFDI, competing on the team Team Ice Cube!. He became the 11th person eliminated off the show, with exactly 10,000 votes, in "Return of the Rocket Ship". He also appears in Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two.
Gaty[]

Gaty is a female contestant in Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two.
She was one of the recommended characters in "Gardening Hero" who had a chance to join Battle for Dream Island Again. However, with only 54 out of the 15,532 votes, Gaty ranked 55th place. Since she could not join Battle for Dream Island Again, she was flung to the Tiny Loser Chamber.
In "Welcome Back", Gaty is seen in the TLC with a new design. Instead of a fence-like gate, Gaty is now designed like a picket gate, lavender color and lilac along with bright gold hinges.
Gaty did have a chance of joining IDFB, until it was postponed. She failed to join by receiving only 51 votes.
Gaty competed on the team 
in BFB, but quit in order to compete in TPOT, on Team8s.
Gelatin[]

Gelatin is a male contestant in Battle for Dream Island Again, IDFB, and Battle for BFB.
He was originally not up for voting, but was chosen to join by DegrassiFan who won a contest by carykh.
In BFDIA, he competed as a former member of Team No-Name. Since he survived eliminations in that season, he appeared as a contestant in IDFB.
In BFB, he competed as a former member of Team Ice Cube! before the split of BFB. Previously, he competed on the Have Cots before teams were abolished in "The Game Has Changed" as BFB advanced to the next stage in the competition. He would get far enough to become the runner up in the finale, losing to Flower.
Lightning[]

Lightning is a male contestant on Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two. He was a recommended character that could have joined Battle for Dream Island Again, but with only 93 votes, he did not have enough votes to join and was flung to the Tiny Loser Chamber.
He was first seen in "The Reveal" and also made a cameo appearance in Cloudy's audition. He was name Bolty back then.
Lightning appeared in "No More Snow!", along with Cloudy. He struck a tree, made it fall over, and crushed Pin, killing her.
Lightning had a chance to join IDFB, but he failed to join with 65 votes.
His new design features him with shading and shining and a smoother shape.
He then became a contestant in BFB and was a member of iance.
Lightning competed on TPOT in Death P.A.C.T. Again, until his elimination in "The Seven Wonders of Goiky".
Lollipop[]

Lollipop is a female contestant in Battle for BFDI. She was a recommended character who could've joined BFDIA, but she only received 95 votes, which wasn’t enough to join. Although Lollipop was formerly voiced by Cary Huang, she is currently voiced by Sam Lee in BFB.
Lollipop's only speaking role prior to Battle for BFDI was in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know" when she told Book "I guess people judged you by your cover", in response to Book questioning why she didn't make it into the game. Lollipop was later flung to the LOL alongside the rest of the characters who couldn't join BFDIA, although Book made it into the game after the absent contestants were cut off.
Lollipop's IDFB redesign features a more shiny look, and she no longer has a wrapper on her. In addition, she is a different shade of purple.
In "Welcome Back", Lollipop, along with the other characters held in the TLC, was given a chance to debut in IDFB through viewers' votes. However, she failed to join with only 74 votes.
In BFB, she competed as a former member of and previously on the Have Cots. She competed independently when BFB advanced to the next stage in the competition. In "Uprooting Everything", she was eliminated with 9,684 votes.
Puffball[]

Puffball is a female contestant on Battle for Dream Island Again, Battle for BFDI, and The Power of Two.
Puffball talks in a strange vocoded voice, and whenever she speaks, the color of her body rapidly changes from one color of the rainbow to another and sparkles. She can also float and change her size. Puffball was the last contestant to make it into the cast of BFDIA, with 291 votes because Leafy, Bubble, and Flower were not present at the time. She competed on Team No-Name and was eliminated in BFDIA 6 with a record amount of 1,455 dislikes.
She had a chance to rejoin in IDFB; she got 1,661 votes.
Puffball competed in BFB on Free Food.
Puffball competed on Are You Okay in Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two, until her elimination in "Outbreak At Stake". She received 6,311 votes, being eliminated by 3 votes, placing 31st overall.
Yellow Face[]

Yellow Face (known as "Talker" in the files of the first season) is a male contestant in Battle for Dream Island Again, IDFB, Battle for BFDI, and The Power of Two.
He appeared in Battle for Dream Island, advertising several items during the entire length of the season.
Originally, he did not receive enough votes to join BFDIA, but he ended up joining after Leafy, Bubble, and Flower were disqualified for being absent. He used to be on Team No-Name, but switched to W.O.A.H. Bunch in "Zeeky Boogy Doog" after being asked by Pin to do so. He got eliminated in Catch These Hands with a whopping 21,683 votes but used his Win Token but still got eliminated because it still has more than Spongy’s 9,085.
In BFB, he was a member of team Free Food. In "The Escape from Four", but he quit Battle for BFDI in order to win limitless power in TPOT and is currently on The S!.
He is also the second limbless character to be introduced in BFDI, the first being the Announcer.
