Occasionally, Jacknjellify does meetups to connect with their fans. This is a list of such meetups.

2016 NYC Meetup []

Yoylecake-fantasy-food-2016

Yoylecake in real life

This meetup took place on October 6, 2016. During the meetup, real life Yoylecake was served by the FANDOM Food Truck, as a result of Yoylecake winning the Battle of the Fantasy Foods 2016. The yoylecakes were miniature vanilla flavored colored cakes.

2017 San Francisco Meetup[]

This meetup took place on February 24, 2017 in San Francisco, United States. The video Meet BFDI near San Francisco (Feb 24) was the announcement for this meetup.

2017 Stockholm/London Meetup[]

This meetup took place from April 23-24, 2017. It took place in Stockholm, Sweden, and London, England. A Denver meetup was planned, although it was postponed to Summer due to flight prices, with no date provided. The video Meet BFDI in Stockholm + London + Denver was the announcement for this series of meetups.

2017 Anaheim Meetup[]

This meetup took place on June 24, 2017. It took place at the Mix Restaurant in Anaheim, California, United States. The video Ballers was the announcement for this meetup.

2018 Crossover Meetup[]

This meetup took place on June 24, 2018. It took place at the With Love Market & Café in Los Angeles, California, United States. For the first time, a Q&A segment with the series creators happened near the end, which would carry over for the following meetups. The video BFDI and II Finally Cross Over was the announcement for this meetup.

2918 meetup steam[]

2918 meetup steam[sic] is where the 2018 Crossover Meetup was originally livestreamed and was converted to an unlisted video containing the full, unedited footage of the meetup after it was finished. The title of the video has "2918" and "steam" instead of "2018" and "stream". It's likely to be a spelling mistake. In a Humany video, Cary Huang clarified that his "S" key is not very sensitive and doesn't register sometimes, but the letter that would be missing if the word was supposed to be "stream" would be R.

2019 Crossover Meetup []

DEcsn3UIAEMYKj

This meetup took place on July 14, 2019. It took place at the With Love Market & Café in Los Angeles, California, United States, the same place the crossover meetup was held last year. In it, the Firey plush was given to attendees, alongside food served by the store. They sold out within an hour into the meetup. The video II + BFDI back together again! is the announcement for this meetup.

BFDI x II Meetup 2022 []

FY2jNcRWQAAXzuI

This meetup took place on July 30, 2022. It took place at the MG Studio in Los Angeles, California, United States. In it, the Lightbulb and Rocky plushies were given to attendees, alongside several posters. The video BFDI & Inanimate Insanity Meet Up! is the announcement for this meetup.

BFDI x Inanimate Insanity 2023 Experience []

2023objectmeetupdesign nooutline

This event, unlike previous years, was described as an "experience", rather than a meetup. It took place in two locations: June 25, 2023 at the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles, California, United States, and July 8, 2023 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater in New York City, New York, United States, each having 3 screenings of TPOT 6 and III 14, with the morning and evening screenings also containing a Q&A with the creators, and an optional VIP ticket for a meeting, photo, and signing with the creators. In these experiences, the Two and Nickel plushies were sold, alongside other exclusive merch including sticker packs, Bot enamel pins, and posters designed by Katherine Sun. The video TWO OF THEM!? - BFDI X Inanimate Insanity 2023 Event is the announcement for both meetups.

BFDI & Inanimate Insanity 2024 Tour []

BFDI&InanimateInsanityTour

During Jacknjellify and AnimationEpic's 2 million and 500K subscribers stream, when asked if there would be another meetup, Adam confirmed that the BFDI x Inanimate Insanity Experience would happen again in 2024.

This event, described as a "tour" rather than a "meetup" or "experience", would end up getting (accidentally) leaked on the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF)'s website in March of 2024, confirming Seattle, Washington as one of the locations and two new BFDI and II episodes (which, at the time, were yet to be determined) being screened followed by a Q&A with the creators. Another location, Chicago, Illinois, was also leaked on the Harris Theater's website days later.

The tour would finally be announced in the video HOST TO COAST - BFDI & II 2024 Tour! on March 30, 2024. It took place at six locations:

  • The NYU Skirball Center in New York City (June 28-30)
  • The Linda & Archie Dunham Theater in Houston, Texas (July 6)
  • The SIFF Cinema Egyptian in Seattle, Washington (July 13-14)
  • The Saban Media Center in Los Angeles, California (July 20-21)
  • The Harris Theater in Chicago, Illinois (July 27)
  • The Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (August 3-4)

Each venue had two screenings of II2 15 and TPOT 12 (first three events) and BFDIA 14 (last three events). This also included a Q&A with the series creators of both shows. Tickets were sold in two tiers, with the highest of the two being the VIP ticket, which, like last year, could be ordered for a meeting, photo, and signing with the creators. Plushies of Taco and Evil Leafy were sold at the event alongside other exclusive merch including a Pin pin. The Tennis Ball plushies sold during the tour had a tag defect reading Golf Ball on it, leading many to speculate a Golf Ball plush was in the works, which was later confirmed.

Announced on July 13, 2024, there was a pop-up event on July 19, 2024 in Burbank, California to sell tour merchandise to people without a ticket the day before the Los Angeles tour dates.

A Theatre Etiquette video, made specifically for the meetup, was also shown. Inanimate Insanity director Brian Koch stated on Twitter it will be released on YouTube, which happened the day after the tour ended on August 5, 2024.[1]

On September 25, 2024, a Business Insider article covered the 2024 tour, where “Battle for Dream Island” is misspelled as “Battle for Dreamland”.[2]

VidCon 2025[]

Haloguys

On February 19, 2025, Cary announced throughout the Humany video "BFDI is at VidCon 2025!" that he and his twin brother Michael would be "featured creators" at VidCon 2025, which ran from June 19-21, 2025 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Cary stated that he hoped that they would be able to show animated content on the big screen during a panel, and try to bring in new people who don't know about object shows into the community.

Two months later, Jacknjellify publicly announced their presence at VidCon in the video BFDI Has A Panel At VidCon 2025, where they hosted a panel featuring a premiere of BFDI:TPOT 18 with Pencil plushies also being sold at a booth in the convention, originally Grassy plushies, but due to tariff-related transportation issues[1],[4] they were replaced by Pencil plushies. Both the episode and the plush were later set to release that same day on YouTube and the Jacknjellify store respectively. In addition to Cary and Michael, Adam, Emily, Katherine, and Sam were panelists alongside them at the Jacknjellify Battle for Dream Island LIVE! panel at June 21 at 2:00-3:00 p.m. PDT.

Two weeks later on July 6, 2025, Jacknjellify announced on Twitter that Next-Gen Games, a game store in Los Angeles, California, would be selling the VidCon poster and One, Two, and Four pins from VidCon 2025 in a limited merch drop while supplies last.[5] This makes them the first OSC products sold at a permanent in-person business.

BFDI x Inanimate Insanity 2025 Tour []

2025MeetupLogo

On February 19, 2025, at the end of the video "BFDI is at VidCon 2025!", Cary confirmed that a tour will be happening in 2025.[6]

Prior to its first announcement, Etix's website had (once again, accidentally) leaked a ticket page confirming that Houston, Texas will be the first stop of the 2025 tour, taking place from June 27-28 at the Linda & Archie Dunham Theater. It is additionally confirmed that two new episodes, both 30 minutes long, will be screened once again, with a 45 minute Q&A happening afterwards, followed by a 60 to 90 minute long VIP experience. With the information given on Etix's website, we can assume each meetup will be about 3 hours and 25 minutes long, but it could vary between each city.

On April 1, 2025, the tour would officially be announced during the credits of the Inanimate Insanity episode "A Lemony Lesson" (remastered). Three days later, they would release the announcement video for the tour: MEET THE OTHER YOU - BFDI & II 2025 Tour!. On April 16, 2025, additional dates in Chicago (7/20) and Los Angeles (7/31) were added. The event took place at six locations, five of which previously held the tour last year:

  • The Linda & Archie Dunham Theater in Houston, Texas (June 27-28)
  • The Lauderhill Performing Arts Center in Lauderhill, Florida (July 5-6)
  • The NYU Skirball Center in New York City (July 11-13)
  • The Harris Theater in Chicago, Illinois (July 19-20)
  • The SIFF Cinema Downtown in Seattle, Washington (July 26-27)
  • The Saban Media Center in Los Angeles, California (July 31 — August 3)

Like last tour, each venue had two screenings. The first three events premiered BFDI:TPOT 19 and IIS4E1, while the last three events premiered BFDIA 22 and IIS4E2. Afterwards, there was a live Q&A with the series creators of both shows, followed by a VIP experience where VIP ticket purchasers were able to meet the creators and "more special guests" for photos, autographs, and more. Plushies of Pencil and Box (II), along with a Firey lamp and Fan figurine, were all first sold early at the tour alongside other merchandise.

A new introductory video for the tour, where the person on stage (referred to as "The Human", usually Michael) would be given one minute to give an overview to the audience about the event's show and provide the theatre etiquette, was also shown, though the animated portion hasn't been confirmed to be released online.

Cancelled meetups[]

A meetup was planned in Denver, Colorado but was cancelled because Michael Huang missed his flight[8].

Meetups for 2020 and 2021 were likely planned but cancelled because of the pandemic.
