100 Chocolate Balls[]

HALT! HALT! HALT! Teardrop, this is advertised as 100 chocolate balls! There's only 96 chocolate balls in here! If they're not all included, this is as good as GARBAGE!

100 Chocolate Balls are, as their name implies, 100 balls of chocolate. They made their first appearance in "Sweet Tooth", and later on appeared on "The Great Goikian Bake-Off".

Coverage[]

In "Sweet Tooth", the second challenge was to eat the 100 Chocolate Balls as instructed by the Announcer. As both teams started to eat the chocolate balls, the Squashy Grapes finished first shortly before the Squishy Cherries, leading to a tie between the two teams.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Teardrop steals a box of these and attempts to give them to Two, only for her to trip and lose four of the chocolate balls. When she does give them, Two points out about the missing balls and gives her a sub-challenge to find those missing four, otherwise, they would rate a low score on her food. Since the chocolate balls roll indefinitely, this leads to them being scattered across many different places:

  • One chocolate ball rolls into the Evil Forest, where a Dragon swallows it, before Bomby gets it out and uses it as decoration on Cake's remains. Later, as Snowball gets launched into Pillow, the chocolate ball is shot out from Cake's remains and found by Teardrop.
  • Another one rolls into a crack of Golf Ball's Underground Factory, where it is found by Are You Okay. As they get the chocolate ball, they climb into Tree's leaves and find another ball.
  • A third one causes Tree to trip and get it through his leaves, leaving him uncomfortable. As he starts to feel more uncomfortable as Are You Okay also enters through his leaves, he expels them out along with the two chocolate balls that Teardrop soon retrieves.
  • The fourth ball rolls near Rocky, and is about to be used for The S!'s dinner, only for Rocky to slip on it and barf in the team's bowl. Winner then instructs Bottle to run after it, as it would dilute the barf mixture only for her to fall into a trap set up by Team8s, before she launches the chocolate ball out. Teardrop then chases it through the hotel and then onto the rooftop, where X gives it to her.

By the end, Teardrop manages to retrieve the four missing chocolate balls, and give them to Two, who comments on how some are dirty, but nonetheless gives her a 7/10 for her food.

BFDI poster[]

BFDI Posters (BFDI 9)

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare", posters were given to the final 15 by Announcer.

Bowling Balls[]

This bowling ball was used in "Bowling, Now With Explosions!" as part of the contest.

It was used to roll into bowling pins for the contest. It is either orange or gray in color and some has a smiley face on. It was a recommended character, recommended by TheBombDigityshis, along with the bowling pins.

Bowling Pin[]

These 10 bowling pins were used in "Bowling, Now With Explosions!" as part of the contest.

When one pin would be knocked down, the contestant who did so would get a point. They have smiley faces on them. They were a recommended character, recommended by TheBombDigityshis, along with the bowling ball.

One of them briefly appears on the anniversary wheel in "Get in the Van."

Bowl[]

A bowl was used in "Sweet Tooth" as part of the baking contest. It was used again in "Get Digging" by Team No-Name. Ingredients were placed and mixed in the bowl to make Yoylestew. They come in different shapes and sizes.

It was first used in "Sweet Tooth" by many contestants. Golf Ball used a bowl for her cake mixture. Leafy made a big cake with a big bowl. Needle did as well to make her cake. Rocky barfed into a bowl that contained water.

It made an appearance again in "Get Digging" by Team No-Name. Ruby, Pencil, and Match used a bowl to make Yoylestew. However, the bowl used is more cylindrical and much larger.

Buttons[]

In "Hurtful!", there were 'Delete Pole' and 'Create Pole' buttons that deleted and created the poles to climb out of the volcano.

In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2", the Announcer jumped on a 'Delete Bugs' button to delete the bugs he created.

Cellphones[]

Cellphones, or simply phones, are communication devices used in "Return of the Hang Glider" by Leafy, who buys Dream Island from Announcer. They are most likely conscious, as seen by their rebel messages against their owners.

They seem to be simple gray numeric keypad phones with an antenna. Money, documents, and possibly other things can be passed in between the connection. The screen has been used by the phone itself to communicate in a hostile manner.

In "Return of the Hang Glider", Firey declines Leafy from entering Dream Island due to the past events of "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2", making her call Announcer using her cellphone to buy the island. This results in the corruption of BFDI.

Trivia[]

  • Leafy's cellphone has said the following, calling Leafy dumb:
    • "I am dumb Leafy's cellphone. I myself am not dumb, but Leafy, my owner, is."
    • "Leafy decides she wants Dream Island. A symptom of dumbness."
    • "Leafy is so dumb she didn't put away the certificate! :O"
  • Announcer's cellphone has said the following, referencing the events earlier in the episode:
    • "Bitten Announcer's phone here, and I'm glad he's been bitten. :D"
  • The phone's ability to transmit matter shows similarity to Donut's camera.
  • Coiny's cellphone has said the following, calling Pin useless:
    • "PIN, You're SO USELESS."

Announcer's Diary[]

Announcer's Diary is a diary that appears in "Rescission". It belongs to Announcer, and was accidentally shown to Firey instead of doing the magic trick he said he was going to do. It has a blue cover, and only has two known entries.

Known entries[]

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Ugh. Today was absolutely terrible. I received a call from the broadcast company that the payroll funding had been cut further. This cut, quite obviously, has a severe impact on my pay. Diary, I'm very sorry to tell you this, but I cannot remain on Earth for much longer. My innards are composed on various substances that have a repulsion toward this planet, thus I have a natural propensity toward the vast void known as spaaaaaaaaaaaaace. Only my built-in Earth attraction unit keeps me on Earth, but my shrinking pay will soon fail to cover the costs to maintain it. Perhaps it's just my mind, but I already feel the grass slipping away below me. A distant memory comes to mind. The day I left my home for a completely alien world, I felt a melancholiness that I thought I'd never feel again. Everything I'd ever known, everything I'd ever relied on, everything I'd come to know and love was replaced by cold, unfamiliar mists and shapes that never fit snugly in my mind. I knew, or at least I thought, that I'd never have to experience such a departure again. Now the wounds are open. Thursday, June 30, 2011

I feel my attraction to Earth diminishing. With every vibration of the speaker driver, attraction and repulsion duke it out. Attraction wins for now, but as it diminishes, the pull to space stays steady, as though my innards yearn with an insatiable pull of curiosity toward the wild blue yonder. I don't know how much longer my Earth attraction unit can hold out. To you, diary, with a heavy dose of bittersweet morosity, I impart that I may soon depart. Goodbye, world. I miss your people, your iridescent sunsets, your breathtaking vistas, your crepuscular seas, and your gravity. It's lonely out in space on such a timeless flight.

Hammer[]

A hammer was used in "Take the Plunge: Part 2" by Firey while making a boat as the contest.

While the Squishy Cherries were making their boat, Firey is seen helping them. He was holding a hammer but then Firey accidentally hit his hand with the hammer, and Pin told him to be more careful.

Ingredients[]

These ingredients were used in many episodes to make different foods: in "Sweet Tooth" to bake a cake, "Vomitaco" to make a taco, and "Get Digging" to make Yoylestew.

Jigsaw[]

There is also a large basket filled with loaves of bread.

A Jigsaw is an item that debuted in Puzzling Mysteries. Contestants had to assemble the jigsaws to complete the challenge.

In "Hurtful!", jigsaw pieces are used again as part of the combined contest.

Knife[]

"Knife" redirects here. For the recommended character in "Don't Lose Your Marbles", see Don't Lose Your Marbles/Recommended characters.

Knives are recurring items in the BFDI series. They were used during Cake at Stake in "The Reveal", but are most notably used by Leafy while she was in Yoyleland. A variant labeled "Arm Cutter" appears in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None".

Coverage[]

In "Don't Lose Your Marbles", a knife appears as a recommended character.

In "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None", after the armless contestants received bonus points, Eraser was seen holding a knife labeled "Arm Cutter" as an attempt to get points for himself.

In "The Reveal", they appear as prizes during Cake at Stake, this episode shows that Spongy isn't harmed by the knives and that they can be shattered by Rocky's vomit.

In "Get Digging", Leafy throws hundreds of knives at Needle, Gelatin and Puffball after Needle slapped her, the knives flew into Team No-Name's stew, being one of the reasons they lost the challenge.

In "Get in the Van", Pin attempts to throw a knife at Leafy however every contestant jumps over the knife and it ends up stabbing Puffball Speaker Box. Pin also pulls another knife on Book later in the episode.

In "Meaty", Pencil uses a magnet to retrieve the knife that stabbed Puffball Speaker Box, but ends up impaling herself with the knife as a result.

During the stinger of "Welcome Back", Leafy is about to throw her knife at Coiny and Fries but is horified by Coiny's deep-fried breath and retreats into the bushes.

In "Let's Raid The Warehouse", when Bubble, Teardrop and Gelatin are shopping for gifts you can see multiple boxes of knives on the shelves in Yellow Face's warehouse.

Loaf of bread[]

For the recommended character, see Bread.
There is also a large basket filled with loaves of bread.

A loaf of bread is a type of food in Battle for Dream Island.

Loaves first appeared in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None". The eliminated contestants were assigned to take loaves from a large basket full of bread and put them into their own baskets. The one with the most would rejoin the game, which ended up being Spongy.

It briefly appeared again in "Vomitaco". A basket of bread along with the eliminated contestants were dumped into the TLC.

In "Hurtful!", loaves of bread are used again as part of the combined contest.

In "Well, Look Who It Is!", it is revealed that the characters in the TLC are fed bread, as Puffball and Match begin eating some.

Trivia[]

  • In "Vomitaco", it's revealed that the contestants in the TLC have only been fed bread for 13 months.
    • However, they were given tacos in the same episode.
  • As shown in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None", it is very easy to drown in a basket of them, even for contestants with arms.

Megaphone[]

The megaphone was used in "Take the Plunge: Part 2" by Match.

When the Announcer asked the teams what their names are, everyone is talking, then Match can be seen talking through the megaphone.

The megaphone was also used in "X Marks the Spot", "The Tweested Temple", "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters" and "Balancing P.A.C.T.''

Nail Baskets[]

For X's baskets, see Baskets.

The Nail Baskets are flying baskets appearing in "Lofty". They are used in the challenge by the contestants to pop each others balloons. These baskets are a different object to X's baskets.

Appearance[]

The Nail Baskets are brown baskets, suspended by a white balloon. It seems to stay afloat very well, and doesn't fall until interference with Snowball. They are filled with nails. The contestants use them to pop the balloons of opponents, as it is part of the challenge.

Coverage[]

In "Lofty", the contestants are given the permission to use the nails by the Announcer. Many contestants use these nails, and even Snowball uses a nail against his own teammate. Coiny uses this basket as a source of protection from incoming nails, but it ends up falling on Bomby, causing him to explode, and causing Another Name to lose yet again. The remaining people staying afloat improvise by using other ways to destroy the balloons of enemies.

They reappeared in "Hurtful!" when the contestants had to go through every challenge.

In the Battle for Dream Island Official Character Guide, Bomby is mentioned as being afraid of baskets, because the nail basket fell on him.

Nets[]

Nets are items used to transport multiple contestants from one place to another in Battle for Dream Island.

Appearances[]

In "Barriers and Pitfalls", a net was used to transport Tennis Ball, Golf Ball, Needle, Firey, Spongy, Snowball, Woody, Match, Teardrop, and Rocky from the Goiky canal to the mainland in order to have an elimination.

In "Are You Smarter Than a Snowball?", a net was used to get all the contestants who failed to complete the course last episode from the "Failers' Waiting Room".

In "Gardening Hero", four nets were used to transport the remaining contestants into space, where the elimination and the challenge took place.

Trivia[]

  • Rocky and Spongy were the only ones to have the net used on them all three times.
  • YouTuber katyj98 pointed out in their video that the nets' movement in "Gardening Hero" was physically impossible due to the extreme acceleration.

Pencil[]

For the contestant, see Pencil.

Scribble[]

Bro, behind the fancy labels, it's all the same product.

Yellow Face to Bomby, "Well Rested"

The scribble is a product owned by Yellow Face. It appears multiple times throughout the series, and is claimed to be various products. It first appears in "Puzzling Mysteries" as a "bubble transformer".

Appearance[]

The scribble is a hastily drawn doodle that overlaps on itself. Some of the overlapping areas on the scribble are colored in, while other spots are not.

Coverage[]

The scribble first appears in "Puzzling Mysteries", and is advertised as a product that transforms people into bubbles. In "Crybaby!", it is advertised again, this time as a box of paper slips that, when written on, becomes a dollar bill worth the amount drawn. The scribble does not reappear until season 4, where it appears as an item in Cloudy's collection. It would later appear in "Well Rested", where Yellow Face gives some to his team, referring to the scribbles as a katana, lightsaber, and stick. Currently, the scribble's latest appearance is in "The Seven Wonders of Goiky", where it is located in the advertisement dimension. Yellow Face takes it to fix the moon, rather than the moon repair kit. This costs his team the challenge.

Shovel[]

Ruby! Digging with shovels is faster than with teeth!

Shovels were first seen as Cake at Stake prizes in BFDI. In "Get Digging", shovels are used by Team No-Name to get ingredients for their Yoylestew by digging underground.

They return briefly in "Getting Teardrop to Talk", used by Dora when digging for islands.

In "Return of the Rocket Ship", shovels are used to dig for X's treasure buried underground. They are first seen inside of a crate. Ruby picks up some shovels for iance to use and hands them to Snowball, Flower, and Lightning respectively to dig. Later on, Team Ice Cube! can be seen digging with the shovels. Although the rest of her team isn’t seen using the shovels, Teardrop can be seen holding one as Ruby picks some up from the crate. So far, Teardrop, iance, and Team Ice Cube! are the only ones seen using the shovels. Each team corresponds to different colored shovels.

A single clean shovel is present on a desk in Basketball's Aboveground Factory in "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life". It is not brought up and it remains unknown what Basketball was using it for.

In "Fishes and Dishes", The S! uses one of Fries’s shovels to dig underground but fail as they keep dying. Winner then throws the shovel away in anger, pushing Ice Cube into the water and killing her.

Ice Cube's star[]

Ice Cube's star is a star in the Big Dipper that was gifted to Ice Cube in "Gardening Hero" by Bubble. The two then played catch with the star, much to Leafy's confusion.

Trivia[]

  • This star's real name is Alpha Ursae Majoris, also known as Dubhe.
  • Realistically, Bubble could not have simply grabbed the star and played catch with it. The star is much bigger than how it is shown in the episode, and should've been really hot.

Start and finish line[]

The start and finish line is an item that appeared in "Take the Plunge: Part 2" and "Barriers and Pitfalls" that got ripped by Pin, and got passed by Firey, Needle, and Teardrop.

The challenge of "Take the Plunge: Part 2" was to rip the finish line. Ice Cube, Leafy, and Coiny's ship passes over the finish line instead of crossing it. Later on, Ice Cube nearly crosses the finish line, but is knocked away by Pen. Pin then rips the finish line, causing her team to win.

The challenge of "Barriers and Pitfalls" was to start at the start line then pass all obstacles to reach the finish line. Firey, Needle, and Teardrop were the the ones who passed the line.

Gallery[]

Tacks[]

These tacks were used in Blocky's infinite Bubble killing prank in "Barriers and Pitfalls". They all use Pin's asset, with some of them being recolored orange and yellow.

Two Metal Balls[]

Two metal balls are items owned by Snowball. He made two metal balls out of thin air while whining about "making cake without recipes".

Trivia[]

  • The community misconstrued the word "balls" with the slang with the same word that has an inappropriate meaning/definition. People began to make memes out of this scene due to its ability to be taken out of context.
  • A recommended character very similar to the "Two Metal Balls" appeared in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4".
