Gem School[]
- See also: Ruby's Sisters
Gem School is an alluded location in Goiky, only mentioned in Battle for Dream Island Again. According to Book, only diamonds are allowed in Gem School, but that was proven to be false. Ruby has not went to Gem School, and she uses that as an excuse not to deal with some of her problems, such as the inability to read, or not knowing which button to press.
In "No More Snow!", as Ruby was pressing buttons on Evil Leafy to escape from her, she pressed buttons that screwed up the process, killing Pencil, and exploding Match and Ice Cube. After Ruby presses the yellow button, Pencil scolds Ruby and asks her if she went to Gem School. Ruby says that she did not go there, but Book mentions that Gem School is only for diamonds.
In "Catch These Hands", Ruby said she couldn't read, and explained that the reason was that she didn't go to Gem School. Later, it turned out that Ruby was only lying so she would get sympathy points from Pencil.
In "Lots of Mud", Flower calls Ruby a Gem School drop-out, which implies that Gem School might indeed be a real place, but Flower could possibly be just guessing.
In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4", it is revealed that Ruby's sisters indeed all went to Gem School and lied to Ruby saying it's just for diamonds, as revenge for her getting to be the star of BFDI amongst the family.

Occurrences[]
- In "PointyPointyPointy ♫", Ruby was using a microphone to record Pin's song. Ruby uses it as a backup plan, which made Puffball love the song and allowed her, Book and Bubble onto the bunk bed. - In "Spore Day", after The Hearts won, Pin uses her catchphrase once more, but Pencil suddenly interrupts her by saying: "Yeah, that is it.", and her team, The Stars, lose, along with The Quasi-Rhombicosidodecahedrons.

"Help" messages[]
"Help" messages are messages calling for help. They don't appear frequently, but when they do, it is unclear who writes them. Two of these messages seem to include blood. Objects don't seem to bleed, so it's unlikely that the messages with blood were written by objects. The writing could have also been made with a different red substance.

The first instance of this gag.
The laughing crowd is a running gag featured in several episodes of Battle for Dream Island and Battle for Dream Island Again, in which a team up for elimination walks past a crowd made up of clones of the safe contestants, who laugh mockingly.
The gag first appears in "Lofty", where the Squishy Cherries and the Squashy Grapes laugh at Another Name for losing. A larger crowd appears in "A Leg Up in the Race" when Another Name loses again. In "Get Digging", the gag is taken to a new level with a massive, 3D-rendered crowd of Team No-Name and Leafy mocking W.O.A.H. Bunch.
The laughing crowd makes a return in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", where the roles are reversed. Another 3D-rendered crowd appears in "Taste the Sweetness", with the recommended characters chanting along with Pencil. In "Lots of Mud", a crowd of Fries clones laughs at The Beautiful Face Devotion Institute in a new 3D-render as they walk to Cake at Stake.
Although not directly the same as the previous examples, Gelatin and Yellow Face imagine the remaining BFDIA contestants (except for Pin) bullying and laughing at the residents of the Weak Trembling Fortress in "Well, Look Who It Is!".

In "Balancing P.A.C.T.", Pen says that tennis balls have brains and erasers don't. Occurrences[]
- In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", when Four arrives in Goiky, Pie suggests squishing it. Liy squishes Four, which doesn't do anything. Later, when X arrives, Liy tries this strategy again. Liy remarks that X has a totally different texture than Four.
- In "Seasonal Shift", when Liy's team meet Two for Cake at Stake, Liy does this strategy again on Two. Two looks in pain, which Four and X didn't look like. This could mean that Two is weaker than Four and X. Liy does not attempt to squish any other algebraliens she comes across, which (with the exception of Three) could mean that in an alternate timeline, Liy squished said algebraliens instead of Two.
Tennis Ball, you villain![]
"Tennis Ball, you villain!" is a line spoken by Coiny in "Start the Shift", after Tennis Ball accidentally knocks Pin off of a cliff. The same phrase is used by Needle in "Airplanes in the Night Sky", when Tennis Ball uses a Grappling Hook to take Needle away from one of the towers.

- The audio from "Get Digging" is later recycled in "Get in the Van", where Gelatin this time pushes Golf Ball, Tennis Ball and Rocky, leaving himself, Firey, and Fries, who angrily asks Gelatin what he was thinking. Gelatin then replies, "I told you, there isn't enough room up here."
