It's never too late to express yourself, Pen.

This article lists the interactions between Liy and Pen.

Pen and Liy were on Death P.A.C.T. together in BFB, but Liy's early elimination meant they had very few onscreen interactions. However, when Liy joins TPOT and joins Pen's team BaggedBagged, the two quickly rekindle their friendship. After Eraser and Needle are eliminated, Liy seemingly becomes Pen's closest friend in the competition. The two bond over their issues with anger (he struggling to let it out and she to keep it in).

The pair often work with fellow ex-pact member Bottle. For more information on this trio, see Bottle, Liy, and Pen.

Episodes suggesting a friendship[]

In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Liy cheers when Pen wins for the team.

In "Fortunate Ben", Liy appears concerned when Pen is screeched by Four.

In "Category One", Liy greets Pen cheerfully, and he smiles at her. When Pen is left distraught by Needle's elimination, Liy comforts him by saying he has her by his side. The two work with Bottle throughout the challenge, going after the giant Davidian.

In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", Pen is again left distraught at the Cake at Stake, this time by Eraser's elimination. Liy watches him, looking sympathetic. Later, when Snowball pushes Liy, Pen shoves him in return, telling him to leave his teammate alone.

In "Seasonal Shift", Pen and Liy use TV to analyse the temporal anomalies displayed in Bottle's memories. The two generally work as a duo throughout the challenge. When Pen is guilty over his BFDIA 1 self's eagerness to execute Leafy, Liy says he shouldn't worry, and that everyone has regrets. Later, the pair huddle with Bottle as the timeline begins to collapse. After the crisis is averted, they can be seen high-fiving.

In "The Power of Four", Pen recovers Liy after Pillow kills her. When Pencil runs off with Fanny in pursuit, Pen wants to chase her, to get revenge for Eraser (whose elimination was indirectly caused by Pencil). Liy asks him if he's going after her, but Pen reluctantly says he can't. When TV and Bottle both go off to hide on their own, Liy and Pen follow Tennis Ball into the Clubhouse of Awesomeness, where the three spend a while dancing and celebrating their excellent hiding spot. When Black Hole accidentally breaks a hole in the wall and Four tags Tennis Ball, Liy and Pen escape together by hiding in Roboty and inadvertently end up at the Waterfall. When Roboty vanishes, they are left alone, and sit together on the plank, where Pen asks Liy to tell him about her time in the EXIT. He seems surprised when Liy mentions working with Stapy, suggesting he was aware of the two's previous enmity.

Later, the two have switched to talking about Pencil. Pen confides in Liy his struggles with having lost Blocky, Needle, and Eraser, and admits he finds it impossible to let all his anger out. She says she had the opposite problem, having let her anger out and ended up hurting people, followed by having to suppress it on Death P.A.C.T. and in the EXIT. She says she managed to treat her aggressive side as a literal separate side of her (the other side of her switch), which let her let it out at the right times. She advises him to express himself, and is enthusiastic when he takes off his cap and starts letting his anger out. The two later end up tagged by X, but begin chasing CloudYAY to get revenge on Pencil. When CloudYAY escapes them, Pen loses his temper again, and desperately tells Liy he can't lose her, or anyone else, though she comforts him. She cheers him on when he goes after CloudYAY and congratulates him when he manages to control his anger and saves Pencil from Four, after figuring out Pencil's actions were driven by the fact that she is afriad of Four.

In "Bottle For Dream Island", Liy comes looking for Pen in the Clubhouse of Awesomeness and overhears him mention her when talking to Pencil. He says that Liy, Bottle, and Needle mean so much to him, and he would have regretted pushing them away if he had let his sadness at losing his old friends consume him. At this, Liy smiles and leaves the two alone.

Neutral interactions[]

In "Fortunate Ben", Pen is unconcerned by Liy flipping her switch down in anger, as she has done so before. However, when she rotates the switch entirely to reveal the realistic light switch behind, he is shocked.

In "Category One", Liy and Pen repeatedly shush one another in panic while sneaking under Two's bed.

In "Seasonal Shift", Pen begins to explain BFB's fifth contest to Liy (since she was eliminated just before it started), but they are interrupted by Kitchen Sink. Later, Pen watches in astonishment as Liy uses her powers on Kitchen Sink.

In "The Power of Four", Liy is concerned when Pen starts losing control of his temper and nearly plunges them both into the waterfall. She is also very shocked when he totals the FreeSmart SuperVan.

Episodes suggesting a conflict[]

In "Fortunate Ben", Liy is eliminated, and lashes out at her team for not supporting her (Pen included).

In "Category One", she chooses not to join Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again, feeling that the pact does not deserve her, oblivious to the fact Pen could've been in the team as he had before.

Trivia[]

  • In "Fortunate Ben", Pen was the least-voted on Death P.A.C.T. while Liy was the most-voted.
  • Liy has always been on the same team as Pen while competing, with them both being on Death P.A.C.T. in BFB, and when Liy joined TPOT she joined BAGGED.
