Lost media is any form of media that is unable to or very hard to find in any format. They may be once publicly available to the public, but then deleted by the creator. This article lists any form of media from Battle for Dream Island that is unable to be found.
Total Firey Island[]
Missing Total Firey Points comics[]
- Main article: Total Firey Points
Total Firey Points is the third season of Total Firey Island, a series of comics made by Cary and Michael Huang. Most of the books were found, but some are still lost.
Battle for Dream Island[]
BFDI 1a pre-challenge source files[]
Due to Michael Huang's hard drive crashing in early 2010, the scenes he animated for Take the Plunge: Part 1 (specifically the pre-challenge sequence) were lost and have never been recovered. This is why these specific files were never included in the original source file releases of Season 1 episodes. Due to being lost such a long time ago, prior to a time of the source files ever being public, these will most likely stay lost forever.
Original versions of episodes[]
A Leg Up in the Race[]
The original upload of this episode had a visual error where Golf Ball and Rocky were shown on Another Name in one shot, despite the former being eliminated and the latter switching teams. This version was then deleted and replaced with the current upload, and the original version no longer exists.
Gardening Hero[]
When this episode was first released, the portion where Announcer explains that there will be a rejoin was mistakenly not present. It was then removed and reuploaded with the scene present, and the version that originally had it missing cannot be watched.
BFDI Shapeway figurines[]
The only proof of the figurine's existence.
On August 27, 2013, a livestream on the Jacknjellify YouTube channel was hosted by Michael Huang titled "BFDI Livestream". A user asked if any BFDI plushes would be made, and Michael responds that Spreadshirt couldn't print plushes. He also says that figurines were available, but were taken down due to being expensive and impractical. The figurines were later replaced by plushies.
It is unknown what these figurines looked like and who bought them. Nothing else is known other than the fact that they once existed.
Figurines of Four and X were eventually released on November 19th, 2024. However, they are obviously not the Shapeway figurines mentioned here.
BFDI Minecraft server[]
Video featuring the address code
The BFDI Minecraft server was a former server on Minecraft Classic, made by the Huang twins back in July 2012. The world can be seen from screenshots on the Battle for Dream Island Facebook page.[1] The server was closed right after the day it was created and re-opened later.
Tutorial livestreams[]
In late 2016, Michael and Cary Huang hosted three livestreams where they and a few fans look though the source files of the first three Season 1 episodes, giving tips and behind-the-scenes insight of the episodes' animation process. They remained unlisted until 2021 when YouTube automatically privated them. In 2024, they have been recovered.[2][3][4]
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
Original versions of BFDIA 5b levels[]
- Main article: 5b Update
In a now unlisted announcement video, jacknjellify announced the release of BFDIA 5b. However, the levels shown in the video are slightly different than the final versions. Some levels had different backgrounds, were assigned to different numbers, and one had other playable FreeSmart members. The dialogue boxes were rainbow colored and a menu sprite was not made yet. The trailer also shows levels 54, 55, and 56 to be completed in the menu, which may mean that the levels were finished, but they were scrapped for unknown reasons.
Original BFDIA 6 script[]
The original script for BFDIA 6 was originally going to be completed into a full episode, but suffered a delay due to the creators having to focus on school. After that, the creators decided to scrap BFDIA 6 and start the new season, IDFB.
A few years later, jacknjellify posted a video titled “BFDIA 6 Deleted Scenes” which showed the progress of the unfinished episode. The original script is lost and unknown to this day.
Ten years after the planned release date of the episode, Battle for Dream Island Again had a come back with the new episode, "Well Rested", which had a completely different plot.
50 million views celebration video[]
The 50 million views video is a cancelled celebration video that was supposed to be uploaded sometime during 2014. It would have been created by Michael Huang and would have involved Flower in some way. It was first publicly mentioned on a tweet by Jacknjellify on June 30, 2014, but nothing came of it.
On August 6, 2014, Michael Huang began to publish a JavaScript application and publish it on the fernozzle GitHub account, titled "50m", with the description saying "Jacknjellify 50 million views video".
A compiled version of the code is available here. The code itself appears to be unfinished, as it only displays a skybox. The camera can be moved by moving the mouse and holding the left mouse button/WASD/arrow keys.
Trivia[]
- This is the first cancelled short that is involved with Flower. The second is the December 2016 Short.
- The "50m" part caused some people to think that the next video, presumably BFDIA 6, would be 50 minutes long.

Yoylecake celebration cartoon[]
An animation celebrating the victory of Yoylecake winning the third round of the Battle of the Fantasy Foods 2016 would have been a short animation that was announced by Michael Huang on August 4, 2016. On August 21, 2016, it was later announced that the short was cancelled in favor of producing IDFB. This is one of the few shorts to have been cancelled, the other being the December 2016 Short.
Unfinished December 2016 short[]
Following the announcement of the indefinite delay of IDFB 2 in BFDI's Best Hiatus Ever, Michael Huang stated that he would create a short animation to make up for the second delay of IDFB 2 for a December 1, 2016 release. The short did not release on December 1, and Michael Huang later stated on Twitter that the short would be instead released in the first half of December, and provided a work-in-progress image of a sketch that resembles an angle of a train station. The short was never completed or released.
On May 28, 2020, Michael Huang tweeted a sketch from 2016 featuring Flower at a windy, unsupported railway elevated above ground. On January 21, 2021, Satomi Hinatsu confirmed that the drawings were related to the short.[5]
Trivia[]
- Michael Huang would have likely made the short himself, as he did for Paper Towel.
- The short has not been mentioned again by jacknjellify until Michael shared concept drawings in May 2020, and Satomi confirming the relation in January 2021.
- The tweet mentioning the second release date had raindrop and an umbrella with raindrops emojis in it. It is possible that this short may have had Teardrop in it, or it had to do with rain in some way.
- This is the second cancelled video that is involved with Flower. The first is the 50 million views video.
- The idea of a train would be reused as the Steam Train in "Fashion For Your Face!".
- It may have been a Christmas short, but this is unconfirmed.

BFDIA 14 Theatre cut[]
2D version of Pin's wire charge
Screenshot with the original icons
HQ Version of the early team icons
BFDIA 14, titled "PointyPointyPointy ♫", is the one of the latest episodes of BFDIA; it was produced before BFDIA 13 to release for the latter half of the BFDI x II 2024 Meetup Tour, but unlike what was on YouTube, the original theater cut had some differences not seen in the final version. While other meetup episodes probably have changes, this one is the most different. For example, Pin's raging scene had no 3D scene (video uploaded by A5TRO_AN1M4TE5 on YouTube showing a meetup version of the scene here), instead the camera pans seeing the wire pulse from island to island. There are other minor differences, like moving objects around zooming in the camera, among others. Given that this was shown to over 100 people and was worked on before BFDIA 13, it's likely somebody on the Jacknjellify crew has a copy of the original cut, or that leakers may have recorded the episode, including the original part. It also had Bubble saying nothing at the end; she says Yoylecake at the end of the new version and doesn’t say it at the meet-up version; only Ruby says "yay" at the end. [6]
BFDIA 22 Theatre cut[]
BFDIA 22, titled "I'm the Main Character", is the latest episode of BFDIA. As the same with BFDIA 14 in 2024, the original theater cut had several differences from the final version, including the lack of upgraded lightning, background props and characters in many scenes, and lack of an entirely new scene only seen in the YouTube upload, that it was additionally teased as a whole clip before release.
Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two[]
BFDI:TPOT 12 Theatre cut[]
BFDI:TPOT 12, titled "What's Up Bell's String?", is the 12th episode of TPOT. The version that played in the BFDI x II 2024 Meetup Tour had some small differences not seen on YouTube. The only footage of this early version are from leaks from the tour, though they are very low quality.
BFDI:TPOT 18 VIDCON cut[]
BFDI:TPOT 18, titled "BFB 31", is the 18th episode of TPOT. The version that played in the VIDCON 2025 event had very little differences, the only major one being the missing names of the recommended characters that were trapped in the burning club and the recommender's names, aside from small lightning and FX fixes. The only footage of this version is from small amounts of recordings at the event.
BFDI:TPOT 19 Theatre cut[]
BFDI:TPOT 19, titled "Last One Standing", is the 19th episode of TPOT. As the same with "What's Up Bell's String?", the version that played in the BFDI x II 2025 Meetup Tour had small differences from the final YouTube upload. The only footage of this early version are from leaks and unoffical audience reactions from the tour.
Other/Endorsed fan projects[]
BFDI wiki app[]
The app in App Store
Wikia: Battle for Dream Island Fan Wiki was an app version of the Battle for Dream Island Wiki by Wikia, now known as Fandom. It was then shut down around 2018, possibly due to the Wikia-Fandom merger. An Android version can be found on multiple websites, but it's unable to load pages and an iOS version hasn't resurfaced yet.
Comma stone video[]
A comma stone video was announced in "The Marker and Coiny Plushes Have Arrived!". It is unknown when it was going to come out, or what would happen. It's only known that it would've released at one point on Jacknjellify's YouTube channel. It was announced in late 2022.
Trivia[]
- A new plush might have been announced in the video.
- It was possibly a continuation of "The Marker and Coiny Plushes Have Arrived!", and we would discover what a comma stone is.
