This article lists the interactions between Marker and Tree.
Marker and Tree appear to have a close and caring friendship. They look out for each other, show concern when the other is hurt, and celebrate their victories together. Marker is especially affectionate, often hugging Tree, while Tree is more reserved but still protective and supportive. Their bond grows over time, with Tree becoming more openly caring, such as when he reassures Marker and comforts him. Tree can occasionally get impatient with Marker's antics, but still enjoys spending time with him nonetheless.
Episodes suggesting a friendship[]
In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", when Marker faints onto the landing pad his team built, after witnessing more characters die, Tree says that they'll consider that as Marker's save a death prevention.
In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", when Tree trips on a chocolate ball and it rolls into the treehouse, Marker comes up to Tree and asks him if he's okay. Tree tells him that his head feels a little funny. Later, Tree uses the time reversal ray on Marker to remove his burn marks.
In "Outbreak At Stake", Marker suggests that they move Tree out of the canal, although Black Hole initially declines due to Tree's huge size making it seemingly impossible. Marker and Fanny jump into the water and begin digging to loosen Tree's roots.
In "Oneirophobe's Nightmare", Death P.A.C.T. Again are teleported into Black Hole's nightmare. Tree regains his original body and limbs, and Marker hugs him and Fanny tightly, cheering.
In "What's Up Bell's String?", Marker helps to cut down Tree from the canal. In the same episode, during the team swap, Tree is pleased to stay with his old team, pulling Fanny and Marker close.
In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", Tree finds himself in the bottom two with Gaty. However, he survives, and he and Marker celebrate with a high five, relieved to retain all original death pacters. Later in the episode, Pencil kills Marker, which upsets Tree. In retaliation, he slaps her repeatedly.
In "Seasonal Shift", the changes in the timeline causes Marker's appearance from purple to green. However, the timeline is somewhat restored at the end of the episode, the timeline is restored. Marker asks if he’s gone back to being purple again, but Tree informs him that he remains green before pulling him into a comforting embrace.
In "The Power of Four", when Tree and Marker are looking for a hiding spot with Team 2 in the forest, Marker states that they need to find a perfect tree, not counting Tree himself, complimenting him. Later, Tree's movements are controlled by Grassy for most of the episode, causing Tree to lose his conscious. Eventually, Grassy jumps out of Tree, restoring him to normal. Following this, Tree questions what just happened, while Marker asks if he’s really himself again. Tree, still confused, reassures Marker that he is, prompting an overjoyed Marker to hug him, relieved to have him back.
In "Bottle For Dream Island", Tree and Marker are sitting on top of the hotel, discussing the token Pin gave Tree last episode. Tree accidentally drops it off the roof, so he and Marker rush to get it. They succeed, but start a fire in the process. After the challenge, Tree excitedly tells Marker that he won for their team, and Marker informs him that he did as well. The two high five, causing Tree to drop his token. Having lost it several times throughout the episode, Tree asks Marker to hold onto the token for him, saying he trusts him with it.
Neutral interactions[]
In "Gardening Zero", when Marker says that they could snip their plant with Two’s scissors, Tree says he remembers those and encourages Marker to go grab them. When Marker arrives back with the scissors, Tree compliments him for getting them in the nick of time and takes them, not noticing that Marker is burning, only showing concern when Fanny reminds everyone that Marker is still on fire.
In "Fishes and Dishes", while underwater, Marker does a dance that translates to asking his teammates how they're holding up. Tree answers with a dance that translates into a large paragraph of words. Marker tells him to try saying less words through dance. After Fanny drowns, Marker says they should swim closer to the surface and continue holding their breath. Later they work together to steal the plates from Are You Okay.
Episodes suggesting a conflict[]
In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", Tree tells Marker that he has to help him build their stack. After Teardrop destroys the stack, Tree gets visibly irritated when Marker leaves with the team to get revenge on Teardrop (minus Remote, who was watching Pillow).
In "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", when Tree suggests that they steal blocks, Marker replies "Very sneaky!". Later, most of their teammates leave to shorten Are You Okay's tower, leaving him and Tree to build their stack. Marker asks if he has to help, and Tree says he does, making Marker groan.
In "Bottle For Dream Island", after they start a fire, Tree says "If anyone asks, we were never here." Marker asks what happens if he asks. Tree, bewildered and annoyed, simply yells at him to run.
