Mechanical Pencil is a contestant in BFDI Mini Replicas, originating as a recommended character from "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None".

Appearance

Mechanical Pencil is a green mechanical pencil with grey accents.

Personality

Mechanical Pencil appears to be very friendly and helpful, motioning to the remaining contestants to follow her across Long Marker. She also wins the challenge with Long Marker by just pointing at him, leading him to do the same in "Find the Markers". In "Escape the Fish Monster" when Tack used the same hiding spot as her she didn't mind. In "The Floor is Acid" she finds a way to survive the rising acid, she motions the others towards it to save everyone.

Trivia

• Mechanical Pencil is one of the three more unique variant characters in this season, as mechanical pencils are actually real things that exist, only being counted as a variant due to it being a type of pencil.
  • The other two being Quartz and Tack.
• Mechanical Pencil's design is likely based on a Pentel P205, or a Faber-Castell TK-Fine 9713, due to the thinness of their lead (0.5 or 0.35) and her having the signature green color of these models.
• Mechanical Pencil is one of the few characters to have had their assets updated for this mini season. Her asset was updated by combining the outline colors and opaque-ness of the BFDI 14 asset with the neat outlines and differently drawn clip of the BFDIA 4 asset.
  • This technically means that this Mechanical Pencil could come from either BFDI 14 or BFDIA 4, it's unclear which one specifically was intended to be her.
  • The other characters who have received asset updates are Acid Tennis Ball, Baby Coiny, Blue Spongy, Electric Blocky, and Fire-ette.
