“ | Holy citrus in a steakhouse! | ” |
Pineapple is a character in Battle for Dream Island Again that appears in "Taste the Sweetness". They are voiced by Thomas Ridgewell.
Appearance[]
They are a pineapple with leaves at the top of their body, resembling hair, and an orange body.
Personality[]
Pineapple acts as a little sibling figure to Barbecue Sauce with them even referring to Pineapple as "Little Bro". They can also be suspicious & distrustful to strangers as seen when Coiny requested for ingredients for ice cream, but he had Needle's voice at the time, making them think that Coiny isn't who he thinks he is. This distrustful nature must have come from Gelatin's homicidal purge of Gelatin Steakhouse employees, killing lots of those who Pineapple considered friends. Including (possibly) Hot Sauce.
Abilities[]
- Marksmanship: Pineapple was able to use the volume up button from Gelatin's Revolutionary Headphones 2.0 to hit the fire alarm from a very far distance through a large crowd of people, showing they have great marksmanship.
Coverage[]
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
In "Taste the Sweetness", Pineapple first appears in Gelatin's Steakhouse when Barbecue Sauce lets them know that Gelatin got booted off and that they no longer have to hide from him. Pineapple celebrates, and so Barbecue Sauce gives them a "token of their comradery" which is the volume-up button from Gelatin's headphones, stolen by Barbecue Sauce (Gelatin notices the missing part earlier in the episode). Pineapple and Barbecue Sauce party to celebrate. However, once Pencil calls the recommended characters of the episode, they barge into the steakhouse, freaking Pineapple out. When Coiny goes up to Barbecue Sauce to ask them the code to get into the ingredient room, Pineapple tells Coiny that they could not allow anymore customers in the steakhouse, especially not him. Barbecue Sauce reassures Pineapple, telling him that Coiny gets a pass for saving them from a surprise encounter with Gelatin in "Meaty".
Later, they both start drowning in customers. While drowning, Pineapple tells Barbecue Sauce that they wouldn't have suffered through the "Rancid Recession" with anyone else, but them. Pineapple then gets hysterical saying that they and Barbecue Sauce were very close, like brothers, and says that they may be re-united on the "other side". Barbecue sauce then tells them that they can throw their token at the fire alarm in the steakhouse. They then aim at the fire alarm, thinking about all of their recent memories with Barbecue Sauce. They then throw the token at the fire alarm, causing the sprinklers to go off, driving all of the recommended characters out. Once the last few exit the steakhouse, Pineapple and Barbecue Sauce hug each other in celebration of their survival.
Later that night, Pineapple tells Barbecue Sauce that they could go for some ice cream. Barbecue Sauce tells him "Don't you dare!" in anger from the past experience they faced.
In "Lots of Mud", Flower can be seen wearing a pineapple's leaves and Ruby eating its body, it's unknown if that's the character or just a regular pineapple.
