Plot[]
To celebrate Battle for Dream Island's 15th anniversary, a small anniversary cutscene is played where Two and the currently remaining TPOT contestants are spinning around a cake on a green background. Suddenly, the background changes to blue, and the characters spinning around the cake are replaced with One along with the TPOT debutants.
Cold open[]
Anchor is seen trapped under a large rock inside of a deep pit, after he fell through the floor of Gelatin's Steakhouse in the last episode. PDA is trying to lift the rock off of Anchor, but Anchor is screaming for help, annoying PDA. The rest of the failed debutants are attempting to rescue Anchor and PDA via being lowered with a rope. Camera is seen on the end of the rope, and starts complaining about being in pain due to the weight of the other characters. Kitchen Sink picks them up and looks through Camera's screen, but can't see anything due to how dark it is.

TPOT failed debutants fighting for the Yoylite.
Scissors tells Rubber Spatula that they need more rope, and the latter tries tugging the rope, only for it to snap and send some of the debutants falling into the hole, killing PDA and Camera in the process. With no way of going back up, the group breaks a rock that leads to the room with the piece of Yoylite protected in glass, only for said glass to mysteriously disappear (due to One secretly helping them reach the piece). Learning that Yoylite can send them to various time periods, especially the past, they fight over it before getting traveled though time. The scene then transitions to the title card for the episode.
Up in the Hotel, Two leaves for Cake at Stake after helping Gaty with her kitchen routines, with the latter ensuring she will be fine during his absence. Not too long after however, the ground begins shaking (possibly caused by the Hotel sinking back into the ground and foreshadowing what is coming), and Gaty then gets forcefully sucked into One's room via a bag. Meanwhile, the contestants who were put up for elimination were getting ready for Cake at Stake. As Black Hole realizes that Marker looks green instead of purple, the Hotel suddenly disappears and reverts to the Bathrooms. Only Black Hole notices and the contestants look weirdly at him when he mentions it. The scene shifts to March 24th, 2020, where Anchor is shown in space. He falls causing an explosion, moving the Earth so Two flies to the wrong planet, landing with a bunch of aliens.
Meanwhile, an argument has broken out over the timeline switches, with everyone telling Black Hole it has always been this way. Black Hole asks Two to explain, but Nine is there instead, and a new Cake at Stake intro plays, titled "Cake at Skate".
Cake at Skate[]
At 's Cake at Skate, Tennis Ball is first safe with 24,507 votes, and he gets a cheese, with Cheese Orb inexplicably appearing out of nowhere. The next person safe is Liy, with 19,861 votes, the host is then VR Headset, Achievement unlocked for Pen, as he is next in the safety order with 18,114 votes. The host then changes to Announcer, who declares Bottle safe with 16,333 votes. The bottom two are Basketball and TV. Before the last person safe is announced, Announcer then changes to the Triangle Speaker Box. TV is the last one safe with 16,146 votes. Upon announcing that Basketball is out with 8,441 votes, the host changes to Profily, who gets very upset about the news.
Back in One's Room, Gaty refuses to take One's deal by kicking the contract away, accusing her of lying due to having chatted with Two all the time and they never brought One up beforehand. One is annoyed, but reveals a list of everyone she got to sign her contract. Alarmed, Gaty demands to know where they are, with One revealing that her "deals" were never meant for them to return to their friends. One then turns on a TV screen revealing Bell, Bomby, Barf Bag, and Needle on One's Field, traversing around a flowerbed, hesitant and nervous. One then places the contract back on the table, asking what it will take for Gaty to sign.

It's now time for Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again's elimination, and now Ean is the host, claiming themselves as "the very iconic 27th letter of the alphabet", of course. They declare Black Hole safe with 21,935 votes and is given Vrrrpt (the 28th letter). Afterwards, the animation style changes to BFDIA's style, and Pan Flute becomes the host, who declares Fanny safe with 19,721 votes. Then the host switches to Evil Leafy, who reveals that Pin is safe with 17,198 votes. Black Hole attempts to get Golf Ball and Tennis Ball to understand that in all universes and possibilities, that it would be crazy to assume that Evil Leafy (who then turns into Planty imminently afterwards) hosts. The animation style then changes to the BFDI Is Back style, and it appears Black Hole manages to get through to them. They then quickly run away to the lab.
Afterwards, Planty roars at Marker, which translates to "Marker is safe with 16,906 votes", in which Planty spits acid at Marker. The bottom two are Tree and Robot Flower. Just before the last person safe is announced, the host then changes to Pineapple. Tree is the last one safe with 16,871 votes, and Robot Flower is eliminated with only 10,771 votes. Pineapple tells Basketball and Robot Flower to get in the slingshot, before it changes to a scene of X with a portal. The scene keeps changing chaotically, with the announcer in the Season 1 artstyle scooping them onto a dragon. Black Hole is frightened and confused, whilst Golf Ball and Tennis Ball run to check on their Yoylite. Golf Ball finds security footage of the debutants using the Yoylite to travel back in time, causing her to yell that they should get out.
Challenge[]

A giant crack in the sky appears.
The host changes to a Glue bottle asking if everyone is ready for today's challenge. The scene switches to Six, who begins to announce the challenge. However, Golf Ball interjects, with Tennis Ball covering Six's mouth. Golf Ball yells that Black Hole was right and that the timeline keeps changing due to the Yoylite's time-travel capabilities. Pencil denies this as the host switches between several different characters in a single moment. Winner asks why Black Hole would know and not them, to which Golf Ball states that due to Black Hole's affect on spacetime, he is unaffected by spacetime anomalies. Tennis Ball explains how 10 years ago, he and Nickel used the Yoylite to go forward in time to last year. He adds that if the failed debuters are altering the past, there would be consequences in the present time. Just then, a large space-time crack appears in the sky, formed from old and broken assets from all of BFDI history.
The host, now Pan Flute, states that they need to sort everything out. Suddenly, One appears behind a bush and uses her power to trigger something in the Yoylite, causing a bright shockwave across every contestant. Gaty, in One's room, asks what happened. One responds that she gave everyone back their original timeline's memories, as it is easier to cause damage that way. One continues to bargain with Gaty, saying that the chaos would be over if they signed on the deal.
Grassy accuses Pan Flute of not being their host. The host switches to Ten, who Tree calls an imposter. Marker comments on why he is green, causing Black Hole to realise they have their memories back. Golf Ball marvels at the Yoylite's power for being able to do that. Pen asks TV to scan the past to detect where the failed debutants went, revealing a drop in timeline stability everywhere.
Ten stomps on the Yoylite, breaking it into 4 chunks. Ten then announces the challenge: to use the Yoylite to go to the past and retrieve the debutants. The two teams that gather the most contestants will be granted immunity, while the other 2 will be up for elimination. The host switches to the Cheese Orb, who starts laughing uncontrollably. This laugh starts the intro.
Cheese Orb tells TV to assign the teams different dates which the debutants ended up in. Nine announces the challenge's start. Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again goes to March 24, 2020, whilst Team 2 goes to March 1st, 2014. goes to January 12th, 2018, and CloudYAY goes to May 1st, 2010. The teams head off in their respective destinations, whilst Black Hole and TV wish them good luck.
appears in the middle of BFB 5's challenge, with Liy confused as to what that challenge is. Pen explains Liy was eliminated right before that challenge. Suddenly, they hear a team screaming. The camera cuts to Free Food, whose airplane is being chased by Kitchen Sink. Their planes collide, knocking Free Food off their plane. Then, Kitchen Sink catches their team before they hit the ground, saying that Kitchen Sink is their newest team member. Tennis Ball grumbles about stopping them, to which Pen and Liy begin making a paper plane.
The scene cuts to May 1st, 2010, the release date of BFDI 5. The contestants are placed on one side of the Bottomless Gorge. The Announcer begins explaining the contest as the words he says appears on screen, when suddenly, he is interrupted by Scissors. Scissors cuts the words overlaying the screen in half, as the Announcer asks him to leave them alone. Scissors turns around to respond, however, accidentally breaks the Announcer's speaker. This creates a large hole in the Announcer, killing it. Eraser panics, with Coiny suggesting that Scissors should be punished.
The contestants lift Scissors up and start chanting "Kill, kill, kill, kill!" just as CloudYAY appears. Winner asks the team how they would save Scissors without getting caught, however, Pillow runs straight into the group and starts throwing the contestants at each other. The contestants panic, dropping Scissors onto the bridge. However, the bridge breaks under Scissor's weight. Scissors hangs onto the edge of the cliff, as Golf Ball sarcastically yells to Pillow "Brilliant work, bed-head!"
Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again arrive at BFB 16, where Two was originally supposed to arrive. But instead, they find Nine, who budges into the show and starts arguing with Four. Pin spots Anchor, who is stuck lodged in the ground. Pin pulls them out, but before they can join the show, Fanny and Tree restrain them. Marker uses a telescope to see Two interacting with the aliens. He insists that they should get Two back to fix the timeline. Pin argues, but Marker continues that he wants Two back. Meanwhile, Anchor breaks free of Tree and Fanny's grasp, but are confused by a bowling pin suddenly appearing in front of him before turning into a sweater.
Team 2 arrive in BFDIA 10, where Pencil is singing her Ice-cream open mouth song. Snowball asks Ice Cube how this differs from the original, to which Ice Cube responds that everything seems the same. Book points out the door being banged on from the inside. Shopping Cart emerges, ranting on how she told the other failed debutants to be careful, as well as being confused on where they are. Before anyone can talk to them, however, Shopping Cart knocks into a tree character which starts a chaotic domino effect that results in everyone screaming and running. An agitated past Pencil insists that its Ice cream time and that everyone should stop screaming. The camera pans out to reveal a massive hoard of customers - similar to the shot in BFDIA 10 - however, rather than everyone singing along to the song, everyone screams.
Similarly, back in BFDI 5, all the contestants are screaming around CloudYAY. Scissors yells and tries to apologise to the contestants, however, Pencil insists that they should apologise later and instead try get out of the gorge. Pillow, on the other hand, grabs the entire team and throws them down into the side of the gorge with Scissors. Now hanging from the broken bridge, Golf Ball reminds Pillow that they don't even know if they can be recovered in the past. She asks Yellow Face is he has anything useful from his ads, when he tells Golf Ball that he became bankrupt after buying the SuperVan. Winner thinks before saying that they can recover a dead body if they bring it to the present, so Pillow and Winner rip apart Scissors.

"There! Problem solved!"
Using the two halves of Scissors' dead body, they scale up the cliff wall. Now back on the ground, Yellow Face asks what they should do about the screaming BFDI contestants, to which Pillow pushes them all into the gorge. Golf Ball worries about the long-term effects of Pillow's actions, but Pencil reassures her that hey do not need to worry as the challenge was to bring the debutants back to the present, rather than fix the timeline. They return to the present where TV gives them their next time: September 10th, 2020. Just then, TV gets news of their actions in BFDI 5, which worries Black Hole. Just then, the crack in the sky widens and opens up bigger, and the host, Jack, says his iconic line, "And so I learned everybody can make a difference!"
The scene cuts to BFB 5, and Liy and Pen finished the paper airplane. Bottle jumps in, but before anything else happens, the plane switches to a hot air balloon. After Liy asks what happened, Tennis Ball explains that since CloudYAY traveled further back, they might have changed something, causing a ripple effect, altering more random details from the future. Then she points out Three being a host as an example. then jump into the balloon to find Kitchen Sink, but they bump into Beep. Meanwhile, Pen's past self notices his current self and calls him an imposter. He asks Black Hole to get rid of them, but Black Hole refuses to proceed, as killing clones still counts as causing death. Liy does not want to deal with Death P.A.C.T. anymore, so she lifts the balloon to Free Food's level where Kitchen Sink is. Tennis Ball calls them over, but Kitchen Sink refuses just as their balloons turn into space ships. Kitchen Sink fires a laser at Death P.A.C.T's ship, killing past Bottle.
Tennis Ball worries at the changes they've caused to the timeline before the ships turn into yachts which fall out of the sky. Suddenly, Liy flips her face around to the backside switch. This causes her to gain speed, strength and agility, taking Kitchen Sink out of their boat mid-air before gliding back to their yacht. In the process, Liy shatters Kitchen Sink's body. However, Tennis Ball is still panicked as they will soon plummet to the ground, yelling that he hopes reality will shift again to save them.

Liy catches Kitchen Sink with her backside switch.
In BFDIA 10, Snowball asks how they can stop everyone from crying. Grassy goes into the ice cream store and steals ice cream from Woody, feeding it to the people outside. This causes them to have a sugar rush and fall in love with the ice cream again, stopping the chaos. Team 2 returns to the present, where Puffball Speaker Box tells them that they are tied with CloudYAY. She gives them their next time to travel to October 3rd, 2008. They materialize in a land of paper, right in front of the title for the comic "Total Firey Island #1." Snowball remarks "Geez, sure has been a while..." as Grassy points out the hole in the title. Rather than saying "Total Firey Island," it instead says "Total Island", with the drawing of Firey being removed. The camera pans to see Firey being stolen by Income Tax Return Document, running away with him.
Meanwhile, in BFB 16, Tree wonders how they are going to be able to get all the way to Two's alien planet. Fanny suggests that they could wait for the past to change enough for random objects in front of them to shift into something useful. She rummages through Cloudy's collection before a catapult appears in front of them. The team jumps on and uses it to fling into the sky, as Marker's headphones turn into dynamite which Pin ignites, shooting them onto Two's alien planet. Two greets them, with Pin exclaiming that he was meant to land on Earth rather than the alien planet. Pin calls the alien planet disgusting, which cause the aliens to attack Pin. Two remarks that the members of Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again seem nicer than the aliens, so he proposes that if they can get rid of the aliens, he will host on Earth.

"You know that they tried to beat me up? What contestants of mine would ever want to do such a thing?!"
The drawing board Fanny holds shifts into a hammer which she uses to smash the aliens, with Pin setting the bugs on fire with her match. Two says that he's glad the members of Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again came and that he does not want to host with alien contestants that beat him up, unaware of the TPOT contestants' later actions. Two pops everyone back onto Earth and tells Four how he wants to host. Four grumbles that he's already dealing with Nine, to which Two kicks him away. He shifts the Earth back up, away from the Algabraliens' planet, offering the BFB contestants to battle for his power like in the normal timeline. Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again travels back to the present, carrying Anchor. However, Marker notices that Two is still not the host, to which Black Hole replies that its likely due to the other teams messing up the timeline. Despite this, the crack in the sky becomes smaller due to their fix. Fanny asks about their next destination, to which Black Hole responds that the other teams are causing so much chaos that the team should focus on fixing the others' mistakes. Fanny exclaims that she hates CloudYAY before she and the rest of the team travel to May 1st, 2010.
In BFB 5, the boats transform into clouds, cushioning everyone's fall and allowing them to float safely. Cloudy contemplates adding the clouds to his collection. Meanwhile, Pen gathers the shattered remains of Kitchen Sink, holding them up and remarking that Kitchen Sink "really made a mess of things". Tennis Ball suggests they should clean up the mess first, prompting the group to glance around at the rest of the cast, who are all staring at them in silence. After a brief pause, Tennis Ball sighs, and the group decides to leave.
Upon returning to the present, Pen drops Kitchen Sink's remains onto the ground and turns to see Three, now the host, gazing at them ominously. Suddenly, the host switches back to Four, who commends the team for their efforts. Without delay, Four redirects them to June 29th, 2012. There, Clapboard is seen wandering the area, eventually spotting the BFDI contestants chasing Leafy after her betrayal in selling Dream Island. Observing the chaos from afar, Clapboard is puzzled and asks aloud what’s happening. Suddenly, Leafy collides with Clapboard, tripping over them. Unaware of the situation, Clapboard excitedly announces they’ve captured Leafy. Blocky lifts Leafy, while Pin thanks Clapboard for their help.
Initially proud of their contribution, Clapboard’s demeanor shifts when they realize the contestants are planning to execute Leafy. Panicked, Clapboard begs them to reconsider, but their pleas are ignored. As Leafy is carried toward the Announcer Crusher, Clapboard acts quickly, tripping the group and allowing Leafy to escape. Furious, Golf Ball chastises Clapboard for interfering. With Leafy gone, the contestants redirect their anger, deciding to execute Clapboard instead.
The contestants carry Clapboard over to the Announcer Crusher just as arrives. Bottle casually comments on Clapboard's imminent demise, while Tennis Ball freezes in horror, recognizing this as the moment when he, Pen, and several others tried to execute Leafy after the Dream Island incident. Amused, Bottle jests about how un-P.A.C.T.-like that behavior was, but Pen defensively explains that he wasn’t proud of it. The scene shifts to Pen's past self, clearly enthusiastic and thrilled as he prepares to execute Clapboard. Embarrassed, Pen insists that the past is the past. Liy offers reassurance, reminding him that everyone has regrets.
The scene shifts to September 10th, 2020, during the events of BFDI Mini. CloudYAY arrives, with Pencil immediately complaining about the cramped, claustrophobic setting. Frustrated, she extends the black borders outward and punches the floating instructions into the sky. This act leaves the BFDI Mini contestants in disarray. Rose, panicking, exclaims that the instructions were essential, while Selfie Dog yells out that those were important.
Winner tries to defuse the situation by offering to retrieve the instructions, but Selfie Dog hurls their skateboard at Pencil, striking her. Chaos erupts as the BFDI Mini contestants surround CloudYAY. Donut attempts to explain that they mean no harm, but the contestants don’t listen and immediately attack. Frozen Yogurt lunges at Donut, Glue jumps onto Pencil, Evidence Bag tackles Golf Ball, and Pastel Feather charges at Winner.
Purple Girl with Wind Hair and Angry Eyes goes after Pillow, but Pillow easily holds her back before wrestling her. Meanwhile, A duck attempts to attack Yellow Face, but he swiftly dodges. Seeing the chaos, Yellow Face looks to Pencil who is still fighting Glue. Pencil, trying to maintain control, orders Yellow Face to retrieve the scattered instructions. Yellow Face nods, replying, "I'm on it!".

"Yellow Face, get those instructions back!"
While this unfolds, Pencil notices Boom Mic climbing the Eiffel Tower. Annoyed, she kicks Glue off her and prepares to pursue Boom Mic. However, Golf Ball intervenes, warning Pencil not to damage the past. Golf Ball stresses that reckless actions might have unintended consequences, potentially coming back to get them.
Meanwhile, Team 2 is still chasing Income Tax Return Document, who clings tightly to Firey as the pursuit continues. In the container, Eraser notices the chase and turns to the others, suggesting they follow. Snowball pauses briefly, only to dismiss the idea and orders Eraser to stay put before continuing the chase. Unbothered, Eraser shrugs and remains with the other contestants.
Nearby, Price Tag becomes momentarily distracted by the glass box, admiring it and musing about its potential as a collectible. Book, unimpressed by the distraction, doubles back to retrieve Price Tag and bring them back to the group. However, this slight delay proves costly, allowing Income Tax Return Document to disappear from sight, leaving Snowball unsure of where to search next.
Moments later, Income Tax Return Document reappears, making a dramatic leap into Murderer Trout's tank. Snowball yells angrily, demanding to know where Firey is, but Income Tax Return Document smugly refuses to reveal Firey's whereabouts. Instead, he cryptically suggests that he himself should take Firey's place. Book and Ice Cube glance over at the altered logo, now reading "Total Income Tax Return Document Island". Realizing the severity of Firey's absence and the chaos caused by Income Tax Return Document's interference, they exchange a worried look. Price Tag dryly chimes in, commenting: "Ohhhhh, yeah, that can't be good".
Meanwhile, back in the present, the crack in the sky continues to widen. Black Hole turns to TV and urgently asks what could have caused this anomaly. TV displays an alert, revealing that "Total Firey Island" has been renamed to "Total Income Tax Return Document Island". A brief clip flashes on the screen, showing Snowball angrily confronting Income Tax Return Document, demanding to know what happened to Firey.
Realizing the dire implications, Black Hole exclaims that they must locate Firey immediately to stabilize the timeline. VR Headset attempts to lighten the mood with a quip about the situation, but an irritated Black Hole uses his gravity to fling VR Headset away. Determined to find answers, Black Hole gathers a stack of the comics and frantically flips through them, searching for any mention of Firey. However, page after page yields no results, leaving him visibly more desperate.
Back in 2008, Grassy hurls Income Tax Return Document out of Murderer Trout's tank, and Snowball quickly catches him. Declaring that Firey can be found later, Snowball insists their priority is bringing Income Tax Return Document back to the present. However, as they prepare to leave, the ground suddenly begins to shake violently. Ice Cube theorizes that removing Income Tax Return Document without Firey could further destabilize the timeline. With a frustrated sigh, Snowball calls Income Tax Return Document useless and tosses him back into the tank. The instant he lets go of Income Tax Return Document, the shaking stops. Grassy wonders aloud where Firey could possibly be, overwhelmed by the sheer number of comics they'll need to search through.
Meanwhile, Pin and Teardrop place Clapboard onto the Announcer Crusher, and Golf Ball orders Eraser to begin the execution. Eraser presses the button, and the crusher begins to descend. Panicking, Tennis Ball urgently points out that time is running out and asks what they should do. Spotting Leafy quietly slipping away from the scene, Liy quickly urges the team to follow her. Without hesitation, they give chase, but Leafy disappears into the Evil Forest. Bottle realizes they've lost her, but Tennis Ball, recalling the events from the original timeline, remembers that Leafy went left. They quickly catch up to her. Desperate, Leafy attempts to block their path by throwing a nearby tree in front of them. However, the tree lands on Tennis Ball, whose bounciness redirects it, and the tree lands in front of Leafy, trapping her.
Cornered, Leafy pleads with them to reconsider their actions. In response, Liy traps Leafy in Bottle, and the team heads back to the other BFDI contestants. Meanwhile, Pin grows frustrated with how slowly the execution is progressing and repeatedly presses the button in an attempt to speed it up. Bottle excitedly presents Leafy to the group and lets her go. The other contestants immediately start chasing Leafy again while seizes the opportunity to save Clapboard from the Announcer Crusher.
The team quickly teleports back to the present with Clapboard, relieved to have averted the execution and restored the timeline once again. Carrot Cake commends the team for successfully retrieving their second debuter, Clapboard, and immediately redirects them to March 1, 2011. Black Hole congratulates them on correcting the timeline and urges them to act quickly. The team promptly teleports to the designated scene.

"Looooook who I found!"
Meanwhile, Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again arrives at May 1, 2010. At first, the area appears eerily deserted, prompting Tree to assume they are too late and suggest returning to the present. However, Marker spots all the BFDI contestants precariously dangling off a cliff. Realizing the gravity of the situation, the team springs into action, collaborating to rescue each contestant one by one. Marker also takes the initiative to restore the Announcer to his rightful condition, ensuring the timeline remains intact.
The scene shifts to September 10, 2020, where Pencil is in hot pursuit of Boom Mic up the Eiffel Tower. Cornering Boom Mic near the top, Pencil smirks and declares that there’s nowhere left for her to run. However, Rose soon climbs up as well, demanding that Pencil back away from Boom Mic. Selfie Dog urges them to return immediately, but the tension escalates into a fierce fight between Pencil and Rose.
In the heat of the clash, Pencil hurls Rose toward the tower's peak, causing Rose to collide with Boom Mic. The impact knocks Boom Mic off the Eiffel Tower, sending her tumbling downward. She bounces off Yellow Face, propelling her back into the air, where she collides with the instructions before plummeting to the ground and dying on impact. Yellow Face quickly restores the 9:16 aspect ratio and the instructions, refocusing the contestants’ attention on the challenge. The group descends the tower and prepares to climb it again. Meanwhile, CloudYAY teleports back to the present with Boom Mic's lifeless body.
Upon their return, Seven congratulates CloudYAY for their efforts, noting that they are now tied with for retrieving the most failed debuters, at three apiece. Wasting no time, Seven redirects them to July 24, 2020. As CloudYAY departs, Seven notices the crack in the sky widening ominously. When Seven inquires about the cause, TV responds with uncertainty, admitting that he doesn't know.
Upon arrival in the timeline, CloudYAY spots Discy fleeing with Donut's diary. Winner questions Discy's intentions with the diary, but before they can act, Income Tax Return Document appears. Yellow Face, surprised, asks why he's there, to which Income Tax Return Document insists that he has always been part of the cast and claims to have won Season 1. Realizing the severe timeline implications, Donut begins to panic.
At that moment, Blocky arrives, initially about to tell the group about the diary they were supposed to be looking after but instead becomes perplexed, asking who they are. Donut frantically urges everyone to run as they scramble to chase after Discy, who is slipping away with the diary. CloudYAY's pursuit is abruptly halted by Four, who appears enraged and accuses them of stealing the diary.
In a flash, Four teleports everyone to a courtroom, including the BFB contestants, preparing to start the intro for BFB. However, the process is interrupted when Donut is thrown onto Four, followed by Pillow and Winner tossing Pencil and Golf Ball at him. Amidst the chaos, Yellow Face quickly opens the courtroom door, shouting for everyone to escape. Furious, Four demands that the BFB contestants retrieve the "traitors".
Outside, CloudYAY notices Discy driving away in the FreeSmart Van. Thinking quickly, the team clings onto the back of the van, forming a chain with each member holding onto the next. Back at the courtroom, the BFB contestants emerge, watching the van speed off. Lollipop sarcastically comments on how their targets have a van while they’re stuck with only their legs before halfheartedly suggesting they go back inside. But before she can act, Four intervenes, picking up the contestants and declaring that today's challenge is to bring the "traitors" back to him. He boosts them toward the van with incredible force, causing Bubble to pop in the process.
The scene shifts to 2008, where Team 2 is still in search of Firey. Suddenly, Price Tag has an idea and uses the Yoylite to teleport themself away. Book, momentarily caught in flashbacks of abandonment, fears that Price Tag may have deserted her. Meanwhile, in the present, Price Tag turns to TV for help, asking if he knows where the comics might be. TV directs Price Tag to Black Hole, who is busy skimming through comics, searching for any mention of Firey. Price Tag joins in, and together, they sift through countless pages. At first, their efforts seem to be in vain, but eventually, Price Tag discovers a panel showing Income Tax Return Document hiding Firey under a food cloche. Grateful for the breakthrough, Price Tag thanks Black Hole before activating the Yoylite and teleporting back to 2008 with the crucial information.
Price Tag reappears, and Book breathes a sigh of relief, admitting that she was scared. Price Tag apologizes but announces that they’ve found Firey. Income Tax Return Document overhears this and, alarmed, asks how they managed to do it. Ignoring his protests, the group quickly heads toward Firey's location, with Income Tax Return Document hot on their heels. As Income Tax Return Document rushes off, Golf Ball notices the logo change from "Total Income Tax Return Document Island" back to just "Total Island". Golf Ball comments that it would be cool if it were named "Total Golf Ball Island," but Bubble disagrees. Just then, the ground shakes.

Meanwhile, the BFB contestants land on the FreeSmart Van, and Ruby demands that they give her van back. Pencil, baffled, reminds Ruby that she was the one who stole her van. Having had enough, Pencil throws all of CloudYAY's members onto the van, causing a massive brawl to break out. Amid the chaos, Gelatin remarks that there isn't enough room up here, before tossing Flower, Leafy, Lollipop, and Teardrop off the van. Pillow eats Gelatin, silencing his antics, which angers Income Tax Return Document, who exclaims that Gelatin was his friend. The two struggle, but Winner quickly pulls Income Tax Return Document away from Pillow, telling him he's distracting CloudYAY.
However, before Winner can finish their sentence, the FreeSmart Van crashes. Discy steps out of the van and slips away with the diary while CloudYAY chases after him. Yellow Face slowly closes the door, about to walk away, but Taco grabs him by the leg. Taco, Blocky, and Woody all attack Yellow Face. Meanwhile, Donut pushes a storage rack onto Blocky, Taco, and Woody, who were attacking Yellow Face. During the chaos, Taco demands they should just go back to TPOT already, but when the storage rack lands, the impact kills Taco, devastating Blocky and Woody. Enraged, they retaliate by targeting Pencil and Pillow, escalating the violence.
While Blocky and Woody are distracted, Donut, Golf Ball, Winner, and Yellow Face split off in different directions to search for Discy. Meanwhile, Discy positions himself sideways to appear less visible. Cornered by Blocky and Woody, Pillow and Pencil raise their hands in mock surrender as they back into the storage rack. To their surprise, they find Discy hiding there. When Discy attempts to flee, Pillow grabs him and uses Discy’s sharp edge to slice Blocky and Woody in half, killing them both. Golf Ball warns her to be more cautious, but Pillow shrugs it off with a casual, "Whoops". Golf Ball insists that they need to fix the damage they've caused, but Pencil urges the group to just get out of here. With their objective complete, CloudYAY retrieves Discy and the Yoylite before leaving the scene, leaving a trail of chaos in their wake.
Back in the present, Firey Speaker Box acknowledges their success in saving Discy, but Black Hole sternly warns the team that their reckless actions are worsening the timeline. Golf Ball, frustrated, agrees and reiterates that she’s been saying that all along. She then chastises her teammates for prioritizing winning the challenge over addressing the "universe-shattering consequences" that are becoming more apparent by the second.
As the crack in the sky continues to widen, Pencil dismisses the warnings, insisting that others can fix the mess while she remains focused on winning the challenge. Golf Ball argues that fixing the timeline is far more critical. However, Pencil, visibly frustrated, launches into a rant about being trapped in a classroom for six years, struggling to be a good leader, and losing everyone close to her.

"...I can't... go back there."
In the midst of her tirade, Pencil’s eyes land on the Yoylite. She mutters about how it could give her the power to rewrite her past and lunges for it. Realizing her intentions, Winner quickly grabs the Yoylite and passes it to Pillow, who kicks it toward Yellow Face. What follows is pure chaos as CloudYAY springs into action, scrambling to keep the Yoylite away from Pencil. The fragment is passed around in a frantic, almost reckless game of keep-away. Even Discy joins in, determined to keep the Yoylite out of Pencil’s reach.
Amid the frenzy, Golf Ball desperately warns everyone to stop and handle the Yoylite carefully, but her words are ignored. The chaos culminates when the Yoylite lands on Golf Ball’s head, triggering an intense reaction. In the blink of an eye, the entire team teleports away just as all of CloudYAY lunges for the Yoylite, leaving it behind. Black Hole, Firey Speaker Box, TV, and Discy, who witness the sudden disappearance, stare in stunned silence at the empty space where CloudYAY once stood.
The scene shifts to Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again, who have just finished rescuing all the BFDI contestants from the cliff. Marker fixes the Announcer, who redirects the contestants' focus back to the challenge. With another timeline correction successfully dealt with, Marker and Tree exchange a high-five as the group uses the Yoylite to teleport themselves back to the present.
Upon arrival, Fanny comments on the steady progress they’ve made in repairing the timeline. However, Black Hole somberly reveals that CloudYAY has mysteriously vanished, leaving behind their Yoylite fragment. He then directs the group’s attention to the crack in the sky, now significantly larger than when they last saw it. Black Hole asks for solutions to address the growing instability, and Tree reassures him that they'll do what they can for now before asking what they should do next. Glue responds that CloudYAY has left behind a huge mark on BFB 22 that needs urgent fixing. To emphasize the urgency, TV plays a clip of Pillow eating Gelatin. With their resolve solidified, the group prepares to travel to July 24, 2020 to continue their timeline repairs.
They arrive and quickly survey the area, spotting Flower, Leafy, Lollipop, and Teardrop lying unconscious on the ground. Wasting no time, they exchange determined looks before lifting the contestants and transporting them to Yellow Face's warehouse. Meanwhile, X, confused by the sudden arrival of all these new people, questions where they’re all coming from. Four greets X and tells them to watch this cool trick. Four detaches his arm from himself and throws it away. X, impressed, eagerly asks Four to do it again, but Four responds that he can’t, because he only has two arms. X sighs in disappointment at this.
The scene shifts to March 1st, 2011, where notices Leek climbing a massive barf bag, which is where the contestants are competing inside. Pen calls out to Leek, signaling for them to come down, but Bubble, who hears Pen from inside the barf bag, mistakenly thinks Pen’s call is a warning about an actual leak. In that moment, Leek accidentally tears a hole in the bag, spilling vomit everywhere. Frustrated, Liy and Pen climb up after Leek, while Bottle picks up Tennis Ball and carries him along.
Meanwhile, back at BFB 22, the group carries Flower, Leafy, Lollipop, and Teardrop to the warehouse. Upon arrival, Four’s blue arm strikes Fanny in the face, causing her to exclaim her hatred for arms. Tree picks it up and discovers that it’s Four’s arm. Upon noticing Taco’s lifeless body nearby, Tree, curious, attempts to use Four’s arm to revive her. His efforts seem to be working, but it’s not quite enough. Struggling to do it alone, the others lend a hand, and together, they successfully revive Taco.
Disoriented, Taco questions their presence before noticing the lifeless bodies of Blocky and Woody. Shocked, she assumes Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again is responsible for their deaths, accusing the team of breaking their pact. Undeterred, Pen shushes her before the group focuses on their mission. They use Four’s arm to revive Blocky and Woody. Tree then picks up Donut’s diary and emphasizes the need to return everyone to the courthouse immediately.
The scene shifts to 2008, where the rest of Team 2 follows Price Tag to the designated area where Firey is hidden. As they move forward, the environment around them begins to crumble, and words start falling down, signaling the growing instability of the timeline. Income Tax Return Document relentlessly follows the group, ranting about how they don’t understand what it’s like to be on the sidelines. He adds that he just wants to compete like everyone else. Book responds, telling him that he can’t do it like this.
In a fit of frustration, Income Tax Return Document throws a timer at the group, which hits Snowball. He retaliates by throwing a sign back at Income Tax Return Document, striking Income Tax Return Document before continuing with the group. Eventually, they uncover Firey, who is hidden under a food cloche. Firey sighs in relief at being found. Income Tax Return Document, desperate, begs them not to return Firey to the competition, pleading that he would do anything. But Team 2, fed up with his antics, decides to end it. They kill him with the food cloche before returning Firey to his team.

With the timeline restored, the logo changes back to “Total Firey Island". Team 2 teleports back to the present with Income Tax Return Document’s lifeless body. As they leave, Golf Ball, unimpressed, turns to Bubble and asks if this means that “Total Golf Ball Island” is no longer happening. After a moment of silence, Golf Ball sighs and says, “Well... whatever".
On arrival, Ten congratulates Team 2 for their efforts, acknowledging their hard work. However, Ten adds that in order for them to surpass , they will need to retrieve Leek before
does. Ice Cube asks for
's location, confident that they can outpace them. TV reveals that
has already traveled to March 1, 2011. Determined not to fall behind, Team 2 quickly follows. As they leave, Black Hole, Ten, and TV look back at the ominous crack in the sky.
Meanwhile, Team 2 arrives and spots Leek climbing up the barf bag. follows Leek up the barf bag, where a large hole releases streams of vomit. Book observes the situation and tells the team it’s pointless to follow, reasoning that their chances of catching up to Leek before
are slim. Snowball, however, proposes an alternative plan and uses Price Tag to cut through the bag, causing a massive flood of vomit to spill out.
Bottle, noticing Snowball’s intent, tells Liy and Pen to continue climbing while she and Tennis Ball handle the threats. The duo leaps down, with Bottle kicking Tennis Ball toward Team 2, causing them to trip and fall over. Bottle then heads toward the hole, collecting vomit, but it overflows, and she retches, realizing it might not have been the best idea.
Meanwhile, Leek jumps onto one of the platforms inside the barf bag and pushes Pencil off. Liy and Pen soon follow, but when Leek sees them, they dive into the vomit and swim in the opposite direction. Liy, repulsed, refuses to follow suit, but before she can protest further, the barf bag collapses from the loss of vomit. In the aftermath, they spot Leek in the distance. Pen turns to Leek, demanding that they return, and Leek pleads to be left alone. They attempt to escape, but Bottle catches them, blocking their way. As the team regroups, Bottle asks where Tennis Ball is, and the scene cuts to Tennis Ball, who is being pursued by Team 2.
Snowball catches up and throws Tennis Ball toward Bottle, causing her to drop Leek but also spill the vomit inside her. The vomit flows toward Team 2, making all its members slip and glide away. With that, Bottle and the rest of regroup and use the Yoylite to teleport back to the present with Leek, completing their task. Team 2, feeling defeated, reluctantly teleports themselves back as well.
Meanwhile, Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again returns everyone to the courtroom. Firey appears, and Fanny urges Tree to use Four's arm to recover Bubble. Tree agrees, and Bubble’s revival leads to a visibly joyful reunion with Fanny. Tree also recovers Gelatin and then returns Donut's diary to Four, who thanks Tree before teleporting the contestants back to the Pillary Ruins, successfully setting another piece of the timeline back in place. With another timeline correction completed, the group uses the Yoylite to return to the present.
Back in the present, Ten and TV congratulate for saving Leek, just as Team 2 and Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again return to the scene. Price Tag, reflecting on the team's efforts, comments that they were so close to retrieving Leek. However, all the teams are horrified to find that the crack in the sky has grown dangerously large. Confused and alarmed, Tree turns to Team 2 and
, demanding to know if either of them were responsible for the worsening instability. However, both teams awkwardly deny any involvement. Black Hole responds that they did, but speculates that the increasing crack in the sky is actually the fault of CloudYAY. Suddenly, TV reports a dire announcement, confirming Black Hole's concerns. CloudYAY’s location has been pinpointed, and it is revealed that they have accidentally time-traveled to January 1st, 2012, during the events of "Return of the Hang Glider".
Fanny, furious at the setback, vows to go back and stop them. But before anyone can act, One secretly intervenes. She causes the Yoylites across all teams to lose their color. They levitate in the air momentarily as the contestants watch in horror before plummeting to the ground, lifeless and completely unusable. The contestants quickly realize that the Yoylites are no longer accessible, leaving CloudYAY trapped within the wrong timeline. All eyes turn to the expanding crack in the sky, which continues to grow alarmingly larger with every passing moment.
The end?[]
The scene shifts to BFDI 25, where Announcer asks Firey to choose who he wants onto the island as usual. As the members of CloudYAY regain their consciousness, they realize they've been stranded in the wrong timeline, now without the Yoylite. The grim realization of being trapped sets in, and Golf Ball, seething with frustration, accuses Pencil of dooming them all. She adds that her inclusion on the team was a mistake, blaming her for the mess they're now in. Pencil, unfazed, retaliates with a slap and dismisses Golf Ball's concerns, asserting that someone will eventually rescue them.
As the team grapples with their predicament, Yellow Face notices the gates to Dream Island nearby and expresses a desire to investigate. Winner quickly stops him, recognizing the potential for further damage. However, Pencil, curious as well, attempts to approach the gates, only for Pillow to block her path. The two erupt into a heated fight while the others struggle to break it up, with Golf Ball emphasizing the importance of staying united in the face of their circumstances.
In the chaos, Pillow and Pencil are accidentally thrown toward the entrance of Dream Island, landing directly in front of the gates. Despite their precarious situation, the fight continues, drawing the attention of Leafy, who had just been rejected from Dream Island as in the original timeline. The commotion soon distracts Firey at a critical moment. In a pivotal deviation from the original timeline, Firey decides to let Leafy onto Dream Island instead of turning her away. The unexpected change in decision causes a ripple effect that begins to unravel the timeline further.
Golf Ball, Pencil, and even Pillow stare in stunned disbelief, horrified as this single decision irreparably seals the fate of the timeline. The consequences of their actions have already begun to manifest, and the rift in the sky continues to grow larger, a stark reminder of the instability they now face. Golf Ball angrily turns to Pencil, demanding accountability for the disaster, but the damage is already done. Because Leafy entered Dream Island, there would be no reason for a second season, and there would subsequently be no more BFDI. Therefore, the crack in space-time grows bigger than ever before. This causes all of the timelines to start converging and overlapping, in a way that makes the aforementioned crack in the sky grow bigger and bigger.

The end of Battle For Dream Island as we know it!
The scene slowly shifts to Gaty and One, with the latter informing the former that only moments remain and the decision is hers to make. Gaty stares at the contract, surprised that One would actually allow this to happen. One responds that she's safe here and can find other ways to obtain Two's power, with or without Gaty's friends. Gaty glances at the monitor, worry crossing her face as she sees her universe is now seconds away from total collapse. The monitor then shifts to Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again, clinging to one another for comfort amidst the chaos.
Having had enough, Gaty finally relents, agreeing to the deal before signing the contract. One makes a pun about the situation, but is met with a sharp glare from Gaty. One responds by calling her boring before agreeing to revert the damages. Gaty angrily asks if she'll also be sent back, but One simply smiles innocently at her before reversing the damage.
The timeline snaps back into place with a sudden shift, restoring several crucial corrections. Two reappears, and the members of CloudYAY are also returned to the original timeline, none the worse for wear. Though the crack in the sky remains, it is now significantly smaller. Black Hole uses his gravity to shrink the gap. Black Hole steps back, confident that he can manage the new, smaller crack for the time being.
Marker asks if he’s purple again, to which Tree reassures him with a fond smile, stating that, despite the timeline's repair, he remains green. With a sigh of relief, Tree pulls Marker into a comforting embrace. Fanny, looking around, remarks that while some changes from their experiences have carried over, the timeline feels stable once again. Though the rift in the sky still lingers, it is no longer an immediate threat, and for now, the universe seems to have found its balance once more. She glances up to one of the hotel windows and sees One balefully glaring at her from inside the hotel before promptly teleporting away. Fanny and Ice Cube turn to each other and nod, each knowing what has to be done.

Two distraught about the disappearance of Gaty
Meanwhile, Two darts into the hotel and into the kitchen, hoping that Gaty is still right where they left her, but instead finds the kitchen in disarray and Gaty nowhere to be seen, leaving Two completely distraught. In their absence, Four and X ask TV who is up for elimination, and it is revealed to be Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again and Team 2.
The other teams angrily confront CloudYAY. Pen, clearly upset, calls their actions "uncool" and emphasizes the serious danger they had posed to everyone. CloudYAY shift their anger toward Pencil, holding her responsible for much of the chaos. However, Pencil appears unwilling to take accountability. While she acknowledges that the actions were uncool, she deflects blame onto Winner, refusing to admit any personal fault. With a casual push, she dismisses Winner, leaving them standing there in confusion. Pencil coldly tells Winner to wait until the rest of the team is ready to address them again, further escalating the frustration of the group.
Stinger[]

Barf Bag, Bell, Needle and Bomby finds a mysterious door in the middle of One's Field.
During sunset, Firey is seen moving around areas of Dreamier Island not shown before, likely trying to find Leafy. He then frees 8-Ball who is stuck in a sand pile, likely from the storm in "Category One". The two then start rebuilding a wooden boat together. The scene then switches to One's Field where the missing eliminated contestants are still walking along the path. Barf Bag then approaches a red door in the middle of the path and opens it. The door ends up leading to the Equation Playground, much to their shock and confusion, finishing the episode with Bomby saying "huh?".

Time destinations[]
Date | Episode | Debutant | Team that entered period/retrieved debutant | How event was ruined | How event was repaired |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
March 24, 2020 | "The Escape from Four" | Anchor | Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again | Anchor crashed onto the Earth, causing it to collide with the home planet of the Algebralians. Because of that, Two entered another planet and hosted TPOT with aliens. Nine took what would've been Two's place and hosted the fifth season instead. This event was caught by a ripple effect. | Using the ripple effect, DPYA told Two to land on Earth. Once they got there, they kicked Nine off of the planet and shifted the Algebra planet to its rightful place. |
March 1, 2014 | "Taste the Sweetness" | Shopping Cart | Team 2 | Shopping Cart crashed onto the recommended characters of the episode, causing panic. | Grassy fed "ice cream" to the recommended characters. |
January 12, 2018 | "Fortunate Ben" | Kitchen Sink | ![]() |
Sink didn't do anything much to harm the event; he was just riding with Free Food.
The paper planes in the challenge constantly changed along with the host thanks to CloudYAY's ripple effect from "Bridge Crossing". |
N/A (Sink's alterations to the event were not drastic enough for fixing to be needed). |
May 1, 2010 | "Bridge Crossing" | Scissors | CloudYAY (retrieved anomaly)
Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again (fixed event) |
Scissors stabbed the Announcer, and Pillow assaulted the contestants and then shoved them off a cliff. | Marker fixed Announcer, whereas the rest of DPYA saved the contestants from the cliff. |
September 10, 2020 | "Climb the Eiffel Tower" | Boom Mic | CloudYAY | Pencil kicked the instructions, angering the event contestants. | Yellow face threw Mic towards the instructions, added it back to its original place, and fixed the aspect ratio. |
October 3, 2008 | "Crying Contest" | Income Tax Return Document | Team 2 | Income Tax Return Document kidnapped Firey and hid him in the comic series. After, ITRD took Firey's place, causing another ripple effect where instances of Firey had replaced him with ITRD, like calling it "Total Income Tax Return Document Island". | Price Tag went outside to view the comics and found Firey in "Rope Climb". They led the team there, retrieved Firey, and replace ITRD with him to fix the timeline. |
June 29, 2012 | "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know" | Clapboard | ![]() |
Clapboard stumbled on Leafy, allowing the contestants of the event to grab her. But Clapboard immediately let Leafy free, making themself the new executed. | ![]() |
March 1, 2011 | "Vomitaco" | Leek | ![]() |
Leek caused a leak, and so did Snowball, draining the giant barf bag. | Likely fixed after Gaty signed the contract via One using her powers to reverse the alterations to this event. Since Pencil (presumably) still won in the altered timeline, however, this may be one of the events that went unfixed. |
July 24, 2020 | "Who Stole Donut's Diary?" | Discy | CloudYAY (retrieved anomaly)
Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again (fixed event) |
Discy stole Donut's diary before Income Tax Return Document (in Firey's place) can reach it.
CloudYAY got on trial with the BFB contestants. They escaped with the FreeSmart Supervan, and Four had the challenge of the episode be to rally them back. This caused more timeline changes, like Gelatin pushing some of the contestants off and Pillow eating Gelatin. When they get to Yellow Face's Warehouses, they (specifically Pillow) kill Taco, Blocky, and Woody. |
DPYA found Four's arm and used it to recover Taco, Blocky, Woody, Bubble, and Gelatin. They brought those five, Four's arm, and the other contestants back to the courthouse.
DPYA also brought the diary, wrapping up the challenge. |
January 1, 2012 | "Return of the Hang Glider" | N/A | CloudYAY | CloudYAY caused a quarrel on the bridge to Dream Island. This caused Firey to become anxious and allow Leafy into Dream Island. This event had such a large effect on the timeline that it was the final straw in the universe (nearly) collapsing. | After Gaty signed the contract, One used her powers to reverse the alterations to this event. |

- to celebrate BFDI's birthday.
- This is fifth TPOT episode to be over 30 minutes long. (43:16)
- The first four are "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life" (36:11), "Gardening Zero" (30:05), "The Seven Wonders of Goiky" (30:41), and "Category One" (32:09).
- This is also the first TPOT episode to be over 40 minutes long.
- The first four are "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life" (36:11), "Gardening Zero" (30:05), "The Seven Wonders of Goiky" (30:41), and "Category One" (32:09).
- This episode is now the longest singular BFDI episode to date, standing only 3 seconds longer than "Chapter Complete".
- If all of BFDIA 5's parts are counted as one episode, then it remains the longest with a runtime of 48:26, leaving this episode in second.
- Two weeks prior to the episode's release, the jacknjellify Twitter account posted a promo tweet of a hooded person recording their lines for the episode with the caption "Who is this? Someone recording for TPOT 15… any guesses?". The person is later on revealed to be TomSka.[1]
- After the elimination, the eliminated contestants outnumber the competing contestants. (24 eliminated contestants and 21 competing contestants)
- The only other episodes to release back-to-back were both parts of "Take the Plunge", however those are parts of the same episode and not two separate ones.
- The release between this episode and “Start the Shift” is 4 hours, making this episode the fastest time to release after an episode released with it being released 3 hours and 59 minutes after BFDIA 17.
- This is the second episode to have a photosensitivity/epilepsy warning before the episode starts, after "Category One".
- Marker's vote option says "Marker the Green", which he was called early on in the episode.
- The losing teams in this episode are the exact same as in "Category One", along with their member placements.
- This is the first time that has happened in TPOT since double eliminations were introduced in "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters".
- This marks the first time that Liy is safe from elimination, as she was eliminated in "Fortunate Ben", which was the only other time she was up for elimination. This makes Stapy, 8-Ball, Dora, and Bracelety the only contestants who have never been safe in an elimination.
- This is the first time since "The Game Has Changed" where a member of A Better Name Than That has been eliminated, with both Robot Flower and Basketball being eliminated.
- The contestants left competing in TPOT now match the number of contestants that competed in BFDI, that being 21.
- 64 of the 65 former BFB contestants make an appearance in this episode in one way or another (nearly all of them were shown during the "Fortunate Ben" scenes, Profily became a TPOT host for a short period, Pencil and Liy are competing in TPOT, Leafy appears in the BFDI and BFDIA scenes); Bracelety is the only contestant, current or former, to not appear in this episode in any form, neither in the past nor present.
- On January 12th, 2025, director Sam Thornbury said in HTwins Central that Bracelety was planned to be one of the alternate hosts during the Cake at Stake segment, but was replaced with Profily because he didn’t want the audience getting confused on who was the contestant and who was the host during the segment.[2]
- This page has went through a "public doxxing screen" doxxing the main Adamation crew with a picture of Nine for a small amount of time, but was quickly restored.
- This episode marks the first time since "Sweet Tooth" that a team loses thrice in a row (Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again).
- Accordingly to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the American Film Institute and the British Film Institute, this is the second BFDI episode to qualify as a movie, after "Chapter Complete".
- All of the episodes the TPOT teams and failed TPOT debutants time travel to (in chronological order) are “Total Firey Island/Book 1: Crying Contest”, “Bridge Crossing”, “Vomitaco”, “Return of the Hang Glider”, “Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know”, “Taste the Sweetness”, “Fortunate Ben”, “The Escape from Four”, “Who Stole Donut's Diary?”, and “Climb the Eiffel Tower”.
- This is currently the fastest BFDI episode to surpass 1,000,000 views, achieving the milestone in just 16 hours. The previous record was held by "Well Rested," which did it in 19 hours.
- This episode marks the first time TV falls into the bottom 2.
- Many assets from previous BFDI medias are shown flickering during the glitch effects, some of them are as follows;
- Character Assets and Limbs (i.e.; Woody's old screaming asset fully colored red).
- Some pencil sketch drawings, most likely from "Total Firey Island".
- Gelatin's Steakhouse.

- 2014-2016 are the years BFDI was on hiatus in real life, and also when many of the newer-produced BFDIA (and possibly IDFB when it returns) episodes are meant to take place.
- "Pirating Floish", "Extracting FLOI Files" and "Removing RECOVER_RECOVER.floi" are references to Michael Huang's video "Pranked my brother massively hard".
- The "ERR_MissingBank_graham.ogg" and "Adding Placeholder Voices" messages reference Gelatin's previous VA Graham Taylor and how Ian Woodside replaces him, even when the contestants end up going back to episodes where he was originally voiced by Graham Taylor.
With Basketball’s elimination…[]
- …This marks the first episode that a member of A Better Name Than That gets eliminated.
- …Golf Ball is the only female ball contestant left.
With Robot Flower’s elimination…[]
- …This makes Pin the last contestant not to be from Death P.A.C.T. Again to be on Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again.
- …TV becomes the last mechanical mind in the game.
- …She is the first non-object to be eliminated, with Black Hole and Yellow Face the last two non-objects in the game.
Continuity references[]
- This episode continues the events of BFDIA 17, "Start the Shift".
- Marker being green was teased in a Twitter post made by Jacknjellify, asking who your favorite green contestant is.[3]
- Liy squishes Two like she did to Four and X in "Getting Teardrop to Talk".
- The environment glitching to different styles and different eras in this episode is a reference to "SOS (Save Our Show)".
- When Ruby glitches in at 29:14, she has the same pose that she had when she mistakenly appeared in "A Taste of Space" on the sun despite her elimination.
- As some of the timeline changes carried over even after everything was reversed, it is implied that the events of this episode are what caused Ruby to be on the sun in "A Taste of Space".
- Fanny's "Recover Bubble!" line is reused from "What Do You Think of Roleplay?”
- This is the first time in TPOT where someone other than Two was in the elimination screen, with X doing it this time.
- This episode confirms Total Firey Island and BFDI Mini as canon, along with the existence of the Equation Playground and its residents.
- Even after One repairs the issues with the timeline near the end, the characters acknowledge that a few smaller effects of all the damage caused were unable to be undone (such as Marker's color).
- This may be an attempt to give a canonical reason for many of the discrepancies present throughout the entire series.
- Blocky and Woody walk towards Pencil and Pillow the same way the contestants walked when they went to watch Four struggle to eliminate Spongy in "The Escape from Four".
- When TV is declared safe, he plays the clip of Flower dancing from "The Tweested Temple", just like he did in "Category One", albeit now with Taco instead of Flower.
- This implies that in the altered timeline, Taco was the one to survive the one-vote difference in the bottom two in "Who Stole Donut's Diary?" instead of Flower.
- In the "The Escape from Four" past sequences, Two retains their old voice quality from the aforementioned episode and "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?", and alongside most of the characters seen in that time period, is drawn in the same "rough" animation style in said episode.
- Additionally, Two mentions the weird alien creatures wanting to beat them up, saying that it's ridiculous, Marker nervously agrees with Two, remembering that the contestants beat up Two at the end of "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?".
- The Bathrooms are seen from BFB, before they were transformed into a hotel.
- When everyone looks nervously at Black Hole (3:15), it resembles "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life", when Death P.A.C.T. Again was trying to get Teardrop to join their team.
- Liy says "Sigh" just like Gelatin does in "Well, Look Who It Is!".
- The explosion from Anchor hitting the ground resembles the explosion from "Barriers and Pitfalls".
- TV calls himself Tay Vay again, like in "Get in the Van".
- One brings up a list of people they've fooled.
- Pencil and Pillow slap Woody and Blocky the same way Coiny and Firey slapped each other in "Lofty".
- When the artstyle changes to BFDIA, it summons Pan Flute and Evil Leafy, referencing how they had last appeared in BFDIA/IDFB.
- Evil Leafy shrieks furiously, like in "Get in the Van".
- At 8:17, the artstyle changes to BFDI Is Back. The slingshot from that video is pointed out by Pineapple.
- Robot Flower and Pillow dance, referencing Pin and Robot Flower's dance in "I SAID CAREFUL!!!". The dialogue is mostly the same, but the meaning is inverted.
- The Announcer uses the Sender Scoop Thrower on Basketball and Robot Flower.
- Characters are seen as 3D models from "Taste the Sweetness".
- Bottle's "thinking cloud" looks completely identical to the one from the previous episode.
- Blocky, Woody, and Taco attacking Yellow Face is similar to how Coiny, Needle, and Barf Bag attacked Eraser in "Balancing P.A.C.T."
- Yellow Face makes his "YAY!" sound from "It's a Monster".
- The stock scream sound is heard many times during the Taste The Sweetness clip.
- CloudYAY climb the cliff like Team8s in TPOT 1.
- At 19:05, Spongy's private jet is seen.
- Bottle makes several references to her line, "And Pie is dead!"
- Liy turns herself inside-out, like in "Fortunate Ben".
- At 20:26, a house is seen transforming into Water Bottle.
- Various props from previous episodes are seen in Cloudy's collection during "The Escape from Four", with some shapeshifting into other props that were never in the collection.
- Yellow Face squishes down to avoid being seen by A duck. The squishing is a reference to "I SAID CAREFUL!!!" and "Happy Halloween".
- At 27:33, Boom Mic frantically looks for a way into the Eiffel Tower, referencing Teardrop trying to look for her block stack in "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life".
- When team CloudYAY grabs the FreeSmart SuperVan, it mirrors "Four Goes Too Far", when Teardrop's team grabs the rocket.
- When Four picks up everyone and melds them into a ball, it might be a reference to "Insectophobe's Nightmare", when Snowball rolls his team into a ball. Gelatin is also shown to be shaking, referencing his "There isn't enough room up here!" catchphrase first used in "Get Digging".
- Pillow is shown trying to swallow Flower's head, which she used on Four in "Getting Teardrop to Talk".
- After Yellow Face and Taco are flattened by a falliing shelf, Blocky and Woody get in a slap fight with Pillow and Pencil. The slapping is reused from "Lofty".
- In Vomitaco, Team 2 and
are shown slipping on puke, like in "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters".
- At 36:32, Pin makes a face from Get In The Van.
- When Leafy finally makes it onto Dream Island, the backdrop starts to occasionally turn into the one from "You're A Loser, But...".
- During the stinger, 8-Ball is revealed to have survived the storm, having washed up on Dreamier Island.
- Needle, Bomby, Bell, and Barf Bag are still missing.
- Triangle Speaker Box suddenly saying "it's TV" is similar to when he interrupted Announcer with "it's Leafy" in "Hurtful!".
- At 34:17, Book's jumping animation references BFDIA 5b.
- At 18:52, past Pen calling his future self an impostor may be a reference to If X-MAS in Among Us was a BFDI Challenge, given how Pen was also an impostor on that video.
Cultural references[]
- VR Headset makes multiple references to video gaming and its culture:
- The achievement pop-up that appears at the 5:38 mark when he declared Pen as safe is a reference to the notification that appears upon unlocking an achievement on a game on Steam.
- At 25:21, VR Headset mentions a 1UP from the Super Mario series.
- Immediately after, VR Headset also makes the Game Over theme from the same series, when he is thrown away by Black Hole.
- This is possibly due to VR Headset being a gaming equipment, as well as his voice actor, Jack Douglass, being a famous YouTube creator and Twitch streamer.
- Additionally, when VR Headset is thrown away by Black Hole, a slide whistle sound effect plays, possibly referencing an in-joke between Jack and his audience.
- Throughout the episode, the numerous anomalies contribute to, and create, a large butterfly effect, where one small change in the past could drastically alter the future.
- "Nevermind I Hate Graphic Design" being one of TV's loading message texts is a possible reference to the "graphic design is my passion" meme.
- At the 10:12 mark, a circular alien object appears, this could be a possible reference to Fat Alien from Challenge To Win.
- At the 14:52 mark, when Announcer gets stabbed by Scissors, he makes a static pain sound. This could be a possible reference to the Swordsmachine big pain sound effect from ULTRAKILL.
- At the 17:26 mark, the snare intro from the music that plays in Puzzle Plank Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy 2 is used.
- This is likely a nod to a portion of the Seinfeld theme used in "No More Snow", as a byte of music is borrowed from an outside franchise in both instances.
- The Triangle Speaker Boxes at 10:12 may be based on the Tri-Force from the Legend of Zelda franchise.
- At the 24:23 mark, when Pencil kicks Glue in the Climb the Eiffel Tower contest, a "Ragdoll" Sound effect from the Source Engine is heard.
- The sound that plays at 10:58 when One spots the Yoylite is the same sound that plays in "Tri Your Best" from Inanimate Insanity Season 2, specifically when Yin-Yang gets separated.
- Marker being green due to the time rift could be a reference to popular 2021 Roblox game "Find the Markers", which was created by Marker's recommender, alexlion0511. In this game, you have to locate and collect many different variations of Marker, multiple of those variations being Marker in different shades of green.
- "Find the Markers" referenced this episode by changing Marker's appearance in the game's icon to his green appearance in this episode.
Goofs[]
- At 0:16, Anchor's arm disappears.
- At 0:39, Income Tax Return Document and Scissors are missing despite also being in the hole.
- At 4:21, Liy's legs are layered above her body.
- The characters' voices in the "Bridge Crossing" sequence when Scissors first appears don't sound like the voices they had in the original episode, but rather their voices in "Return of the Hang Glider".
- At 15:18, most of the contestants in the crowd are missing their faces and limbs (Debatable. Most likely, this was done intentionally.).
- At 19:17, A Better Name Than That's boat is duplicated for one frame.
- At 19:36, there is a face on Foldy that keeps dissappearing and appearing.
- At 22:49, Leafy and the crowd chasing her are missing their faces (possibly done intentionally.)
- At 27:38, Evidence Bag is missing their arms.
- At 28:58, Pencil and Golf Ball's limbs are gray. (Debatable. Most likely, this was done intentionally.).
- At 30:13, Gelatin, Teardrop, and Income Tax Return Document are missing.
- At 36:20, the Yoylite doesn't move with Ice Cube's body.
- At 41:03, Liy's right arm, and both of Pin's feet seem to be missing. Same with Pen's right arm, but it somehow appears a second later.
Deaths[]
- PDA and Camera were crushed by the other failed debutants.
- Announcer was accidentally stabbed by Scissors (debatable, as the challenge resumes as normal after Marker fixes him). (reverted later)
- Scissors was ripped in half by Winner and Pillow.
- The "Fortunate Ben" clone of Bottle was zapped by Kitchen Sink. (reverted later)
- Kitchen Sink was rammed into BAGGED's boat by Liy, causing them to shatter.
- Boom Mic broke in half after falling.
- Bubble got popped after being thrown by Four. (reverted later)
- Gelatin had his head bitten off by Pillow. (reverted later)
- Taco was crushed by falling boxes. (reverted later)
