Synopsis[]
The final push. Book, Coiny, Needle, Tennis Ball. Find out who gets cut, and who earns immunity one last time in our longest episode to date!
Plot[]
Cold open[]
The WTFers chase Woody after he pilfers the farm chunk.
The episode starts with Woody jumping out of the sea with what's left of Dream Island Again, with Gelatin, Golf Ball, Ice Cube, Pencil, Rocky, Ruby, and Yellow Face chasing after him. After Woody passes under some trees, Golf Ball orders someone to catch him. Ice Cube slides ahead, trying to kick Woody, but the latter jumps and avoids the attack, causing Ice Cube to slip off and crash into some trees. Golf Ball suggests someone more agile should get Woody, to which Ruby replies by ordering Pencil to feed her a gumdrop. Pencil follows orders, and Ruby goes into a sugar rush. Ruby gets in front of Woody to block him, but he whacks Ruby with a Friendship Flag, knocking her into a tree, sugar depleted. Pencil tells her to get up, which she immediately does. Golf Ball mentions that she extracted Pin's Ooze On Pig Yum to create an Embarrassment Serum, believing that sheer levels of embarrassment can stun Woody. She orders Gelatin to fire it since he has arms. Gelatin aims the Embarrassment Serum at Woody, causing the latter to momentarily become nervous. Gelatin fires a dart, but misses and hits Pencil, who turns green and begins screaming and flailing on the ground. Ice Cube slides back into frame and wonders if that's how people act when they're embarrassed, but Golf Ball kicks her away and says that's how she acts. Golf Ball orders them to continue chasing Woody, and they chase him across the Southern Desert, the Snowy Tundra, and the seven of them eventually corner Woody by the shore near the Plains. Golf Ball demands that Woody hand over Dream Island. Woody gets an idea and starts shoveling sand into the garbage disposal of his State-of-the-Art Mech Suit, heating it up with the battery pack. Pencil questions what Woody is doing, but Golf Ball then realizes sand, and the heat from the battery makes glass, but Woody then blasts off before the WTFers can react, creating a glass bridge that fades into the horizon. The WTFers are knocked back by the blast. Gelatin exclaims how Woody got away, and Ruby points out how he took Dream Island. Yellow Face declares they should be embarrassed by this. They all start screaming and flailing on the ground, and Gelatin claims that no one is having a worse day than they are. The episode cuts to Coiny, floating next to Pin's decaying body in the magma. He hears a rumbling sound, which is in fact Needle using her drill to surface the lava. A special title card for the episode plays.
After the title card, the scene cuts to Tennis Ball and Nickel riding on spring riders at the Pristine Park. Nickel comments on Tennis Ball getting immunity to the final 3, and Tennis Ball responds with the fact that he always knew he'd make it. Nickel mentions that he had his doubts, but asks what the strange rumbling sound in the distance is, which Tennis Ball jokingly passes off as his safety in the game. Nickel says the "safety" has got rhythm, and the two synchronize on the spring riders by swinging back and forth, before Needle emerges from the ground, throwing the drill angrily at Tennis Ball. Tennis Ball screams in a similar fashion to how he did in The Reveal. Nickel jumps in front of Tennis Ball to greet Needle, causing the drill to make an even bigger hole in him, before he falls to the ground. Needle complains how Nickel always ruins everything, and Tennis Ball agrees, saying how he always gets in the way. The three of them head to Yoyleland to recover Book with the Hand-powered Recovery Center. Once recovered, Book says how she is sick of dying in horrific ways. Upon the mention of the word "horrific, Book tries to recover Coiny, but the HPRC states that Coiny is still alive, confusing Book. Needle says that they can't start Cake at Stake without him, and Nickel paints himself bronze, stating how he can be "the new Coiny". He then decides to recover the host Leafy, but Tennis Ball and Needle stop him. Tennis Ball states that he would rather have literally anyone else host. A choir of voices yell "ANYONE?", and said choir of voices turns out to be from several recommended Characters and former hosts. Book, confused, asks who's hosting, and Nickel supposes that everyone hosts, to which Tennis Ball agrees. The recommended characters carry Nickel, Book, Tennis Ball, and Needle for Cake at Stake.
Cake at Stake[]
After the recommended characters put Tennis Ball, Book, Nickel, and Needle on the Cake at Stake area's chairs and throw the Locker of Losers away (with Needle's Friendship Flag breaking in and impaling Marker), they start the Cake at Stake. The recommended characters present several different cakes in a flurry of voices. Book is confused, Nickel complains how the recommended characters are too loud, and Tennis Ball demands that only one of them should speak at a time. Firey and the Firey Speaker Box emerge at the top of the pile of the recommended characters, with the latter announcing the real cake as one of the recommended characters. He continues by saying that Tennis Ball won immunity, so he receives cake. Tennis Ball is excited to see which delicious recommended character he will get, before Spikeball is thrown at his face. Firey Speaker Box says that the vote was between Book, Coiny, and Needle, and declares that the votes will be revealed in alphabetical order. The book mentions that she loves going in alphabetical order. Needle asks if it's because she's a dictionary, and Book responds that it's because she finally gets to be first in something. TV, from inside the LOL, displays that Book got 18,329 dislikes. Book asks if she survived the elimination, and the Fish Monster says that she will have to see how the next two contestants stack up in terms of dislikes. He says that Coiny's votes will be revealed next, but Nickel was too busy whistling to himself. The Fish Monster yelled louder that Coiny was next, which gets Nickel's attention, and he sarcastically says he hopes he's not eliminated. Coiny is revealed to have gotten 27,826 votes, which is more than the number of votes Book got. Pencil declares that Book is safe and gives her Dice as a cake, which Book munches on.
Firey Speaker Box alerts Nickel that if Needle gets more than 27,826 votes, he is safe, and if not, he is eliminated. Needle gets worried, stating how she doesn't have a good track record against Coiny. Donut tells TV to reveal the votes. While the votes are revealed, Nickel and Needle panic, but it is revealed that Needle got 26,557 dislikes compared to Coiny's 27,826. Pencil declares Needle safe, and the latter waits for their cake, which turns out to be Meteor falling from the sky. Firey Speaker Box declares that Coiny is eliminated, with Nickel sarcastically acting sad. Firey Speaker Box gets out the Sender Scoop Thrower to eliminate Coiny, but Nickel says that he's actually not Coiny, not wanting to be flung. Firey Speaker Box understands this, but remembers that Nickel is also eliminated, causing Nickel to get flung to where the other eliminated contestants are. Firey is shocked at this, as the former thought the latter would win. Gelatin asks why he thought that, and Firey says that statistically speaking, whoever administers the most slaps also wins the game. Needle interrupts, saying how the person who slapped the most people would've been her, and Firey adds that the winners also tend to be interesting. Needle, annoyed, slaps Firey and tells Teardrop to help get him back. Teardrop, piloting the LOL, slams down on Firey. The bugs then appear to see who got the most likes. It is revealed that Book received the most likes at 77,891, compared to Coiny and Needle, who got 67,898 and 74,064 likes, respectively. The bugs tell Book to spin the Prize Wheel, which she does.
Book prepares to spin the Prize Wheel.
The wheel lands on the slice labelled "Prize of your choice," and the Fish Monster says that Book can choose whatever she wants with her prize. Due to Book's newfound appreciation of the alphabet, she declares that her prize should be the alphabet. Pencil asks Book where they're supposed to get "the alphabet, but Ruby rushes off to Yoyleland, brings back the Hand-powered Recovery Center, pulls out the keypad, and hands it to Book. Needle complains how Book could've chosen "the alphabet" out of literally anything, and Book realizes she could have chosen immunity in the final 2. Tennis Ball, still seated, laughs and calls Book's prize a waste. Book goes up to Tennis Ball and definitely calls her prize NOT a waste, and uses it to recover Bubble. Tennis Ball sarcastically comments on Book's ability to recover people a big deal, but Book exclaims how she's now the only person who can recover people. Book and Bubble decide to recover everyone who died, like Fries (to Needle's dismay), Pin (to Ruby's dismay), Spongy (to Pencil's dismay), Bomby, and Flower (to Ice Cube's dismay). Book hands Bubble her alphabet, with the latter wanting to recover Leafy, much to the former's horror. Bubble starts typing out Leafy's name, but Tennis Ball tells her not press the Y key. Bubble asks why not, and Tennis Ball explains how Leafy is a death row criminal who manipulated them into doing infinite challenges, and that they can't have Leafy muddying up their game. Bubble seems nervous about this, but decides to recover Leafy anyway. Needle stops her. takes the Y key out and throws it away to the eliminated contestants, with Firey noticing it. Book complains that the Y key might be needed, but Nickel says that nobody important has Y in their name, offending Yellow Face. Book grabs Pin and asks her how it feels to be alive, but Pin says that she wishes she were lifeless, since she has no limbs again. She follows this by saying life is cruel, with Flower, Fries, and Spongy adding on that life is also ugly, lame, and painful, respectively, to Book's annoyance. Pin asks what's going on, and Donut shows up inside the LOL, saying that everyone is hosting, and points at the final 3: Book, Tennis Ball, and Needle. Fries is annoyed at the final 3, and Spongy adds that the voters really dropped the ball once he got out. Pin realizes that Coiny is eliminated, and hopes he is taking it well. The episode cuts to a scene of Coiny still in the lava with Pin's decaying corpse. He notices the corpse breaking apart and desperately tries to piece it back together.
Challenge[]
Firey Speaker Box says that now the game is down to its final 3: Book (whom he calls a FreeSmarter), Tennis Ball (whom he calls a Team No-Namer), and Needle (whom he plans to call a W.O.A.H. Buncher, but realizes that Needle played for a bit of every team). He adds that it is time for the final contest to see who will earn immunity into the final 2, and orders the remaining contestants to spin the challenge wheel, so Book, Tennis Ball, and Needle run up to the wheel, take a portion of it, and spin it. Book tells her fellow contestants how incredible it is to be in the final 3, and Needle says how she's so close to winning it all. Tennis Ball says that Golf Ball will be proud of him, with the latter begrudgingly agreeing. The challenge wheel lands on a slice labelled "Set foot on Dream Island". Fries points out how the final challenge isn't very interesting, but Spongy says that since he's technically a host, he can make the challenge better. He goes up to the wheel and tells the final 3 that the final challenge will be to set foot on Dream Island AND sell the most ice cream to prevent Spongy's elimination, while he writes on the challenge wheel. Bomby points out that he's a host too, and writes "Enter the birdhouse to prevent Bomby's elimination." Immediately, other eliminated contestants start writing and adding challenges to the challenge wheel, confusing the final 3. Book asks what the final challenge actually is, and the Fish Monster announces that the final challenge is to set foot on Dream Island. Tennis Ball asks if they need to set foot on the actual Dream Island or the farm chunk, and the Fish Monster states the contestants need to step foot on the latter, to Tennis Ball's disappointment. Needle asks where Dream Island is, and Pencil answers that Woody took it. Needle then asks where Woody is, and Golf Ball explains that he zoomed off on the glass road, pointing at it. Book asks how far the road goes, and Golf Ball uses a Woody detector to deduce that Woody headed off for 40,000km across the glass road. Firey Speaker Box says that he won't sugarcoat it, and that reaching the end of the road will be an arduous journey, and that the contestants will have to travel through uncharted territory across the globe to reach the end. Book complains about how venturing across the globe would take forever, but Firey Speaker Box says that there will be Challenge Stations across the road, where you can help an eliminated contestant with a previous challenge, and if you're the first person to complete the challenge, the eliminated contestant hosting the challenge will give a reward to the player. Firey Speaker Box concludes by saying that the first contestant to cross the glass road, reach Woody, and set foot on Dream Island will win immunity into the final 2. Tennis Ball asks what would happen if one of them were to die along the way, and Firey Speaker Box says that they would have to hope for someone to recover them. Book remembers her alphabet prize from Cake at Stake, and gets excited. She tells Bubble and Flower to be on recovery duty: Whenever Book types in a name, Bubble and Flower would crank the handle of the Hand-powered Recovery Center to bring them back to life. Bubble takes excitement in this, but Flower says that her new role will be annoying. Pencil tells the other eliminated contestants to set up their Challenge Stations, and they head off across the road. Suddenly, the recommended characters ask in unison what they're going to do. Firey Speaker Box has no idea how the recommended characters can be used as part of the challenge, but Donut says that he knows the perfect way they can support. The recommended characters hold up the Locker of Losers as a support beam. Donut thanks the recommended characters for their support, and they carry the Locker of Losers across the glass road. Firey Speaker Box commences the challenge, but before he can say "GO", the intro plays.
After the intro, a painted map appears showing the locations of the start of the glass road, the challenges, and the end of the road. The episode then zooms into the three contestants run towards and onto the glass bridge, with Needle at the front, and Book and Tennis Ball following behind. Book tells Needle to wait up for her, but Needle says that she won't slow down for anyone now, right before crashing into a sign that reads "EPISODE 1: Tug of War". She sees Donut inside the Locker of Losers, who greets Needle and says she's the first one to meet him once again. Needle questions how she is supposed to do tug of war, and Donut explains that in the first episode, he got eliminated because his team failed the tug of war challenge. He goes on to say that if Needle can tug the rope to victory and alleviate his memories, he'll give her a very special reward. Needle questions what is defined as "to victory", and tugs the rope a bit across the glass road. Donut says that the rope needs to be tugged further, and Book comes along and tugs the rope a tiny bit further, but Donut says that Book didn't tug it far enough either. Tennis Ball shows up and says that Donut meant that they need to tug it further, and tugs it slightly further across the road. Donut becomes irritated and says that there is a very specific point on the glass road where the rope needs to be tugged, and that said point is marked on the glass road so the contestants can see it, but the contestants don't listen and continue tugging the rope until Tennis Ball finds another sign, which reads "EPISODE 2: Make Yoylestew". The recommended characters carry the Locker of Losers to the second Challenge Station, where they encounter Dora inside the Locker of Losers, who tells the contestants to make yoylestew. Needle says that she doesn't have any yoyleberries on her, and Book says that she doesn't have any either, after she puts the rope in her pages. Tennis Ball mocks the others for being so ill-equipped, unlike him. He then pulls out a briefcase which contains a yoyleberry plant and a cookbook, then dons an apron and chucks ingredients into a bowl. Needle decides that she'll just have to get some yoyleberries, and dashes off. Book tells Needle to wait for her once again, but Needle leaves without a response, making Book panic. She asks Tennis Ball if he could supply her with a yoyleberry, but Tennis Ball refuses, and he continues adding more ingredients.
Book calls out if there's anyone who can give her a yoyleberry, and conveniently, a recommended character called Yoyleberry shows up and jumps into Book's hands and asks what they are needed for, before Book crushes them, turning them into yoylestew. Book tries to hand in the yoylestew to Dora, but trips and falls onto the glass road. Meanwhile, Needle runs through the Pristine Plains, the Barren Plains, and arrives at Yoyleland to collect some yoyleberries, before heading off again. The episode cuts to the painted map again, showing Needle heading back to the glass road. Tennis Ball is seen stirring his stew, saying the stew will be "STEW-pendous", the recipe being "SOUP-erb", and the stew being made only by the most "a-STEW-te" could make a dish like this. Needle arrives and kicks Tennis Ball's yoylestew into the air, calling it "STEW-pid". Tennis Ball cries out for his stupid stew, which lands on the hole on the Locker of Losers and drips down into Cloudy, who immediately turns into yoyle metal and slams to the ground. After Tennis Ball claims the 2nd Challenge Station, Dora thanks Tennis Ball and gives him an "island chunk" as a reward, and Tennis ball realises that the island chunk is actually an Everestian Crystal, which is a great source of forward thrust. The Everestian Crystal drags Tennis Ball to "EPISODE 3: Destroy bugs", and Tennis Ball exclaims that he loves destroying bugs. Needle tells Dora that she and Book have yoylestew too, and she grabs Book's yoylestew and throws it at the Locker of Losers's window. Dora says that Tennis Ball was first, and the Locker of Losers gets launched to the third Challenge Station, and Needle and Book follow along, with Needle being slightly annoyed at Tennis Ball's lead. While running across the glass road, Needle says to Book that they can't let Tennis Ball win again, and Book asks if Tennis Ball winning would be so bad. Needle is appalled by Book's response, stating how he broke the contract, and telling her how hard it was to escape the core of the Earth. Book says that technically, Tennis Ball never broke the contract as he never harmed her directly. Needle says that she doesn't like how things are going between her and Book right now, but Book responds with that she means that if Tennis Ball wins the challenge, he probably deserves it. Needle states that Tennis Ball doesn't deserve anything except painfully pulling out his fuzz a fibre at a time. Tennis Ball is seen asking what Needle's going to do to him, before going back to squishing bugs inside a glass chamber, with Teardrop inside the Locker of Losers beside him. Needle realises that they have arrived at the challenge, and greets Tennis Ball, and Book asks what the goal for the challenge is. Tennis Ball explains that the goal of the challenge is to help Teardrop kill the bugs. He then boasts about how he has already killed two-fifths of the bugs, and that the others might as well give up. However, Needle grabs the Locker of Losers and slams it down on the glass chamber, crushing all the bugs and claiming the 3rd challenge for herself, with Tennis Ball calling her a show-off. Needle asks Teardrop what her prize is, and the latter sticks her hand through the hole in the LOL and uses it to fling the former all the way to challenge 4. Tennis Ball angrily asks if anyone actually needed Teardrop's help anyway, and zooms off on his Everestian Crystal, while Book decides to keep on walking.
Needle builds her own Dream Island, but Match is not satisfied.
Needle crashes into a sign reading "EPISODE 4: Build Dream Island", and asks where she ended up at. She meets Match inside the Locker of Losers at the construction site, who explains that Woody came along to presumably refuel his mech suit, while creating the glass road. Needle asks Match what the challenge is, and the latter explains that she got eliminated because Golf Ball didn't keep her Dream Island safe from Bomby's explosions, and that the former needs to help the latter build the best Dream Island ever. Needle says that she'll try to, and builds a standard Dream Island, but Match says that it's not dreamy enough. Needle rebuilds the island, adding more rainbows and colour, but Match says that rainbows are so 10 years later, and that she's more into the muted colour scheme. Needle rebuilds once again, making her island entirely greyscale, but Match declines yet again, saying that the island looks too dreary. Needle keeps on rebuilding islands, but Match calls them too big, too small, too gross, too grand, too bland, too random, too new, too old, too old in a different way, and too "exactly-what-I-want-in-a-Dream-Island". Needle says that Match is too picky, and that nobody is going to be able to win her challenge. Just then, Tennis Ball arrives on his Everestian Crystal, and says that he'll make his version of Dream Island bouncy, fuzzy, and with a greenish-yellowish tint so that winner will always be reminded of him. Match says that would work for a Dream Island, much to Needle's irritation. While Tennis Ball gets to work building his Dream Island, Book arrives and is surprised to see the others still there, and Needle says that it's only because Match wouldn't approve of any of her Dream Islands. Match says that she just has to dream bigger, but Needle complains about how it'll take forever to satisfy Match's needs, before falling onto the floor. Book asks Needle why she isn't skipping the challenge, and Needle is surprised to learn that they're able to do so, with Book reminding her that Firey Speaker Box said that completing the eliminated contestants' challenges was optional. Match informs that if Needle skips the challenge, she won't receive her brilliant reward, but Needle decides to skip Match's challenge. Match is annoyed that Needle skipped her challenge, but she says that she knows that the other two won't skip her challenge, but Tennis Ball asks himself why he's wasting time building a Dream Island, and zooms off. Match scoffs and hopes that Book won't skip her challenge, but Book skips since she's falling behind, confusing Match. Needle, Tennis Ball and Book climb up the construction site, with Needle saying that she's almost at challenge 5. Just then Tennis Ball passes by Needle and arrives at challenge 5, boasting to Needle how he is so far ahead of her, and how unlucky she was to not receive an Everestian Crystal, while commenting on how he can just breeze across the glass road without tiring his legs. While Tennis Ball is rambling on, Needle walks past him. Tennis Ball tells his Everestian Crystal to propel forward, but instead, it propels backward, causing a hole in his face and killing him. Book is then seen running up the construction site, telling herself to keep running forward. However, Tennis Ball's Everestian Crystal whacks her in the face, sending her backward and back to Match's challenge. Needing a boost, she decides to do Match's challenge, which please Match. Meanwhile, Needle meets up with Puffball, who is also inside the Locker of Losers. Puffball greets Needle by calling her the one who sung her a beautiful song, and after a quick duet, Needle asks what the challenge is. Puffball explains that her challenge is to help her get to the summit of Yoyle Mountain, and that she brought the whole summit to the glass road. Needle decides that the challenge is too hard and skips it. After Needle runs off, Puffball sees Tennis Ball's corpse and asks it if it can help him get to the summit.
Rocky angrily yells at Needle to read his sign, much to the latter's shock (As he is known for seldomly speaking properly).
Needle continues along the glass road and travels across a loop-de-loop, which leads underwater, and emerges in a cave filled with crystals, where she meets Rocky. Needle says she is glad to see an actual person, and that she was getting sick of the people in the Locker of Losers hosting the Challenge Stations. She then asks Rocky if this is his Challenge Station and asks how it works. Rocky barfs out a sign which reads "EPISODE 6: Find a cozy building to live in", and Needle is annoyed, since she was hoping she could meet someone who could actually talk. Rocky then yells at Needle to read the sign, which shocks Needle as Rocky is rarely seen speaking. Rocky then barfs on Needle, but Needle wipes the barf off and tells him that she's skipping his contest too, which angers Rocky. The episode pans back to Book via the painted map, building a Dream Island for Match. Book says that this reminds her of when they were trapped inside Evil Leafy, with Book roaming around freely and Match stuck in a tiny box. Match laughs sarcastically, while Book finishes up her Dream Island made out of cardboard, and asks Match for her thoughts on it. Match says that it's okay, but reminds Book that they lost because their Dream Island blew up, and asks if Book's cardboard Dream Island is explosion-proof. Book asks how they'd find out, before Tennis Ball's Everestian Crystal flies off, tearing apart a rope that was holding some sticks of dynamite, causing an explosion. Miraculously, Book's Dream Island appears to have survived the explosion. Match congratulates her, and after being repeatedly asked what her prize is for Book, gives Book some wheels. Book complains and says that she thought Match would give her something to help her on her journey across the glass road. Match responds by saying that she's stuck in a box, and tells Book to leave, which she begrudgingly does after taking the wheels. Back at the cave, Needle skips past Firey's challenge (which disappoints him) and exits the cave. She climbs around the pillar on the glass road, also skipping past Yellow Face's challenge (which makes him sad) and Gelatin's challenge (which causes Gelatin to blow a raspberry at her), before running off again. Book arrives at Puffball's Challenge Station, and sees Puffball telling Tennis Ball's corpse to do something. Book asks what Puffball is doing, and the latter responds by saying that Tennis Ball is useless. Book responds by saying that Tennis Ball is doing nothing because he's dead, and Puffball corrects herself, saying that Tennis Ball is being so useless when he's dead. Book says that she can fix Tennis Ball being dead, and uses her alphabet prize to type out his name, before telling Puffball that Tennis Ball will be back soon. Meanwhile, back at the start, Bubble and Flower see Tennis Ball's name being typed on the Hand-powered Recovery Center, and Bubble tells Flower to get cranking the handle as that is their duty during the challenge. Flower unwillingly cranks the handle, reviving Tennis Ball, who is surprised to see that he's alive. Flower says that she's surprised too, and that she can't believe someone would recover him. Tennis Ball interrupts Flower's rambling by asking her if she ever stops talking, which makes her angry while Tennis Ball gets back on the glass bridge and hurries onward. The scene transitions to Needle running across the glass road with many recommended characters drowning below, before arriving at The Resort. She compliments how nice the place looks, before Spongy shows up and asks Needle if she can help with his challenge. Needle pushes Spongy out of the way and skips his challenge, and Spongy mutters that last elimination he gave her a dislike.
Meanwhile, Book is at Puffball's Challenge Station, trying to push the Locker of Losers. Tennis Ball arrives and asks Book what she's doing, and Book responds with that she's trying to get the LOL to the summit of Yoyle Mountain, even though it's extremely heavy. Tennis Ball asks her why she's not skipping the challenge, and Book replies that not doing Puffball's challenge will make her sad. She then mentions how Needle is skipping every challenge and racing to the finish, and that Book and Tennis Ball won't be able to outrun her. Tennis Ball asks Book what she means by this, and Book says that if they team up and share the prizes they earn, they will be able to catch up to Needle. Tennis Ball agrees to this alliance, and they high-five. Book tells Tennis Ball to help her carry the Locker of Losers, and Tennis Ball decides to work smarter and not harder by attaching Book's wheels to the Locker of Losers, creating the LOL-mobile. Book calls it a downgrade from the LOL-copter (from when the Locker of Losers had a propeller), but Tennis Ball tells them all to get climbing. Tennis Ball, Book, and the LOL-mobile climb up the summit of Yoyle Mountain in a similar fashion to how FreeSmart and W.O.A.H. Bunch did in The Long-lost Yoyle City, before the screen fades to black. The scene switches over to Needle, who is looking for Ice Cube's Challenge Station. Ice Cube waves to Needle, telling her that she is across the street with an awesome ladder. Needle prepares to cross easily, but a car immediately passes by. Needle tells the driver to watch where they're going, but then the whole road is filled with cars, blocking Needle from reaching Ice Cube's challenge. Needle realises that it won't be easy to proceed, while Tennis Ball and Book finally reach the summit of Yoyle Mountain, with Tennis Ball claiming the challenge. Puffball cheers about the fact she finally made it to the top, and Tennis ball points out how she didn't betray anyone the entire journey. Puffball think's that she should've betrayed them, as she thought it would've been funny. Book asks what their prize is for getting Puffball to the top, and Puffball gives them a submarine. Book asks when they're ever going to need it, and Puffball responds with that they'll probably need it now, before pushing them off the summit. Tennis Ball sees the glass road below and tells Book to get into the submarine quickly. Book tells Tennis Ball she's too busy "AAAA-ing", so Tennis Ball hosp into the submarine by himself. The two crash onto the glass road, and Tennis Ball drives off in the submarine. Book realises what Tennis Ball meant by getting to the submarine, so she chases after him, runs across the loop-de-loop (and fails to get across it in a single run), and hops into the submarine. The two of them head along the glass road and plunge into the water. The scene transitions back to Needle, complaining about how annoying the drivers are. Just then, Grandfather Clock parks his car in front of Needle and rhetorically asks her if she has any idea what it's like driving on the busiest street in the whole world, but Needle grabs him and throws him out of the car (with Metronome following after him), and Needle gets in the car, telling them she'll show them how driving is done. She them uses the car to jump over the rest of the traffic before exiting the car and continuing across the glass road. She runs over to Ice Cube at her Challenge Station, who is excited to see her awesome ladder being put to use. Needle tells Ice Cube that she is glad to see her favourite trash-taking alliance member, and Ice Cube is excited to hear how she is still part of the alliance. Needle asks what she has to do for the challenge, and Ice Cube says that Needle needs to rip Flower's petals off, since she still needs to get revenge on her. Needle asks if she really has to, since she thinks Flower is terrifying. Ice Cube says it's up for Needle to decide if she wants to do the challenge or not, calling her "Needy" in the process, which results in her getting slapped and told by Needle to not be called "Needy". Ice Cube yells that she wants revenge now, and Needle asks if Ice Cube revenge is really a big deal. Ice Cube says that it isn't, and after a short silence, Needle skips Ice Cube's challenge, which Ice Cube is unfazed by. As Needle continues on the glass road, she passes by a metal door frame will a megaphone and scanner attached to it. The scanner scans Needle, and the megaphone blurts out that Needle has passed challenge 11 and is halfway done with the full challenge.
The episode cuts to the painted map before panning back to Tennis Ball and Book in their submarine. While Tennis Ball is driving, Book tells him to look outside at the diverse ocean wildlife. Tennis Ball is unimpressed and points out how they're all just hundreds of the same fish. Book calls the fish adorable and plans to update her chapter in marine biology, and asks Tennis Ball if he'd like to spend weeks researching them. Tennis Ball gasps and says that weeks of research would be an astronomically productive use of time, right before they hear the announcement of Needle having passed the halfway mark of the challenge. Tennis Ball mentions how Needle has passed the halfway mark of the challenge, and that he and Book are nowhere near, so he says he will have to pass on the research for now. Book agrees with this, and the duo surface in the cave, exit the submarine and meet up with Rocky. Tennis Ball greets Rocky, but he gets immediately barfed on. The episode zooms out to show Firey wanting to be greeted, and Tennis Ball wipes the barf off his face and greets Firey, before getting barfed on again. Book suggests that she and Tennis Ball should work on different challenges, and that she'll help Firey build a loser chamber while he finds a place for Rocky to sleep. Tennis Ball agrees with this and Book runs off to complete Firey's challenge. Tennis Ball asks Rocky where he'd like to sleep, but Rocky barfs on him again. Tennis Ball wipes the barf off and yells at Rocky to stop being vile, before Rocky kicks Tennis Ball, making him yelp in pain. Book runs over to Firey, greets him, and asks if the challenge is to build him a loser chamber, and Firey adds on that she needs to also not make him get distracted and end up sabotaging FreeSmart. Book finds it a weird request, but agrees to help. She starts by saying that the big crystals in the area could be very sturdy, but her sentence is cut off by Firey whacking her with a giant crystal. Book asks why he did that, and Firey explains that sabotaging FreeSmarters is in his blood. Book accuses that Firey doesn't have blood. Back at The Resort, Needle runs over to Golf Ball's challenge station, but Golf Ball tells Needle that she needs her help, and explains that she came to the Science Center; a building full of breakthroughs, finding, discoveries and inquisitions; to further her quest in obtaining knowledge. However, she didn't realise that it was "Bring-your-bug-hive-to-work day", and while escaping from the bugs thrown at her, she had dropped her newly invented Embarrassment Serum. Golf Ball requests Needle to get her through the building without getting poisoned by bugs. Needle plans to skip, but Golf Ball points out that Needle has to go through the building to continue on the glass road anyway. Needle unwillingly attempts Golf Ball's challenge, and grabs her as she runs through the building. Needle walks past some scientific breakthroughs, and Golf Ball tells her to keep moving as to not disturb the geniuses working inside. They climb up some stairs and end up on the next floor of the building, with Needle telling Golf Ball that the place doesn't seem very dangerous. Immediately, balls of bugs get thrown across the room, and Needle questions who's responsible for all the bugs. The camera pans over to Pineapple, who yells that all the bugs throwing is for science. While Pineapple continues throwing bugs, Needle and Golf Ball hide behind a knocked over table, with Golf Ball reminding her that the place is pure chaos. Needle tells Golf Ball to leave the antics to her, and she tries to bad the bugs back with a wooden stake, but ends up poisoning Golf Ball. After seeing how difficult Golf Balls' challenge is, she decides to bail out of it, and jumps out of the window, landing right next to Ice Cube, who comments that she'd find it easier if she had her awesome ladder. Needle says that she could get to the roof using the ladder, but Ice Cube reminds her that she won't give her anything unless she rips off Flower's petals, which Needle reluctantly decides to do. The episode cuts to Book assembling some crystals together, but Firey says how it's not a loser chamber, but instead just a pile of crystals. Book agrees, but mentions how if you were to think about it, you could see it as a loser chamber. Firey interrupts her by asking her if she noticed how they sound alike. Book replies with that she did, but wants Firey to focus on the challenge. Firey walks up to her and takes her alphabet prize, and starts pressing random letters on it. Book whacks Firey with a newspaper, calling him bad, but the newspaper burns. Firey laughs at how it burned, but Book then sprays Firey with water, causing Firey to scream in pain. Book asks what Firey was typing, but Firey responds that he didn't know. The episode cuts to Bubble, Flower, and the Hand-powered Recovery Center, with is revealed to have Leafy's name being typed on it. Flower, annoyed, asks who typed Leafy's name in, but Bubble gets excited and tells Flower to get cranking, which she does, recovering Leafy. Leafy is confused where she is, but then she sees Bubble and Flower, unfazed. Flower is annoyed that Leafy didn't respond with something nicer, like "Thank you" or "How nice of you" or even "I'm so glad the first thing I see when I'm given life is the pure beauty of Flower". Leafy asks what's going on, and Flower explains that it's the final immunity challenge of BFDIA. Bubble adds that if Leafy wants to hang out with them, she absolutely can. Leafy agrees to this, and Bubble asks Leafy if she remembers when they competed in the final immunity challenge, calling it one of the good times. Leafy does, in fact, remember, and Bubble continues by saying that if Firey came over, they could have a final 4 reunion. Leafy says that she doesn't want to see Firey right now, and Flower agrees, saying that the place is getting too crowded, hurting Bubble and Leafy's feelings.
The episode cuts back to Tennis Ball in the crystal cave, trying to sing a lullaby to make Rocky fall asleep. However, Rocky keeps barfing on Tennis Ball, which annoys him. Tennis Ball begs Rocky to stop barfing on him, but Rocky doesn't listen. Eventually, Tennis Ball has it with Rocky's barfing, and he shoves him inside Book's crystalline loser chamber, which Rocky barfs inside of. Firey says all of the disgusting barf makes for a perfect loser chamber, allowing for Tennis Ball to claim his Challenge Station. Book defensively says that she was the one who made the loser chamber, but she is interrupted by Rocky's snoring. Firey points out that Book's loser chamber was cozy enough for Rocky to sleep in, so Book, oddly enough, claims Rocky's Challenge Station. Tennis Ball asks what their prizes are, and Firey says his prize for Tennis Ball is a grappling gun, and Book's prize from Rocky is some barf which Rocky barfs onto Book, who sarcastically comments about the prize. Tennis Ball tells Book that they need to move quick, and Book gets onto Tennis Ball before running off and exiting the cave, arriving at the pillar. Tennis Ball is confused and asks where they should go, but Book tells him to go up and to follow the glass road. Tennis Ball uses grappling gun to grapple to the top, and its hook lands in Gelatin's jelly-like structure, before Tennis Ball and Book zoom upwards. Gelatin asks himself is the object stuck in him is a rope, before tilting left and right, causing Tennis Ball and Book to crash into some rocky ledges. Gelatin then spins and rotates, making Tennis Ball and Book spin around more. During the commotion, Yellow Face yells at the duo to not skip his Challenge Station, and explains how they need to paint the Eiffel Tower, but is interrupted by Book crashing onto the Eiffel Tower, with the barf on her face splattering onto it. Yellow Face says the barf counts as painting it, allowing Book to claim his challenge and receive some yoyleberry-flavoured soda. Book says that she doesn't know how the soda is supposed to help her, but thanks Yellow Face anyway. Eventually, Tennis Ball and Book arrive at Gelatin's challenge station, with Book landing in a trash compactor and Tennis Ball landing beside it.
UNCLOGGING A TOILET!
Gelatin realises that the rope attached to him happened to be them, before introducing his Challenge Station. He says that he got eliminated because Tennis Ball was a horrible charades player (which he says while pulling the grappling hook out of his skin and pointing it at Book), and now he wants to see if Book can do better. Book realises that the challenge is charades, and starts gesturing a rowing motion. Gelatin guesses that Book's gesture is "rowing", but his guess is incorrect, and the spiked ceiling in the trash compactor lowers. Gelatin then guesses that Book is flying, dying, crying, and making her alliance proud, but those guesses are all incorrect guesses, making the spiked ceiling lower more. Tennis Ball yells angrily at Gelatin to stop guessing random things, while Book panics and mentions that if Gelatin doesn't guess correctly, she'll die. Tennis Ball looks behind the trash compactor to figure out Book's gesture, before whispering it to Gelatin. Gelatin says out loud that Book's gesture was unclogging a toilet, which was correct, as Book's gesture was, in fact, "unclogging a Yoyle Toilet". Book gets freed from the trash compactor, and she sighs with relief. Tennis Ball asks what her prize is, and Gelatin says Book's prize is anti-poison, before spraying both Book and Tennis Ball with it, and all the anti-poison landing on Book's face. Book rolls on Tennis Ball down across the glass road, before crashing into Spongy, who greets them. Meanwhile, Needle pulls out the megaphone from the metal door frame and uses it to tell Flower that she needs her, and says that she think she's really beautiful. At the Hand-powered Recovery Center, Bubble asks Flower why she's not going, and Flower responds that everyone already knows she looks beautiful, and it's just a fact of life. Needle adds that she also doesn't hate Flower, making Flower gasp in surprise to hear that someone on the planet doesn't hate her, before zooming off. Back at Spongy's Challenge Station, Spongy explains that he got eliminated despite doing the most work for his team. Tennis Ball impatiently asks what he wants them to do, and Spongy says that they have to make and sell ice cream for him. Book takes the anti-poison off her face and asks his it can be used as ice cream, but Spongy declines, since it's not icy and it's not creamy. Tennis Ball intervenes, introducing his High-Powered Blast Chiller which can freeze consumables really fast. Flower rushes past, destroying the Blast Chiller, leaving Tennis Ball shocked. Flower arrives at Ice Cube's Challenge Station and excitedly asks what Needle needs. Needle then rips off one of Flower's petals and gives it to Ice Cube, claiming her challenge. Needle cheers and asks Ice Cube if the ladder is her prize for completing her challenge, but Ice Cube, confused, states that she never said Needle would get the ladder. Needle asks what the price actually is, and Ice Cube says the prize is revenge, with an evil look on her face. Needle is confused on what "revenge" even means as a prize, and slaps Ice Cube away out of frustration, before laughing at her. Flower comes along and slaps Needle, annoyed how Needle lied and said that she needed her. Mishearing Flower saying "need me" for her hated nickname "Needy", Needle slaps Flower, telling her to not call her "Needy". Flower claims that she didn't call Needle anything, but she gets slapped by Needle again, who tells her to not call her anything. Flower walks off, and Needle takes Ice Cube's ladder and climbs it.
Ice Cube falls through the sky and lands in Book's bowl of anti-poison, shattering into tiny ice chunks and dying on impact. Book realises that the bowl is now frigid cold, but Tennis Ball is sad since he didn't get to use his recently fixed High-Powered Blast Chiller, which Flower walks past, breaking it again. Spongy gets the idea to sell the ice cream to Flower, and he walks up to her, asking if she wants some ice cream. Flower declines, calling Spongy a "second boot", making Spongy walk back sadly. Tennis Ball tries to convince Flower to try their ice cream, but Flower refuses, calling Tennis Ball the "fifteenth boot". Tennis Ball explains how Flower was the first boot, but Flower informs Tennis Ball on how she rejoined and outplaced him in the rankings, making Tennis Ball walk back to Book and Spongy in defeat. Book explains that since she had never been booted off, she might be able to sell the ice cream to Flower. She tries to give the ice cream to Flower, but is interrupted by Flower blowing the ice cream on her face. Book gets mad and catapults onto Flower and forces her mouth open, allowing Spongy to feed her the ice cream. Flower complains about how disgusting the ice cream was, and Spongy cheers about how Book managed to sell the ice cream to a happy customer, making Book claim his challenge. Book asks what her reward is, and Spongy explains that her reward is the most valuable and coveted item on this entire planet... Spongy himself. Book is confused, and Spongy explains that he has joined Book's crew and will help her win the challenge. Tennis Ball complains about how inefficacious the rewards they're getting are, and asks Book if it would be better to skip the challenges, and Book points out how they're catching up to Needle, who is climbing on Ice Cube's ladder. Tennis Ball realises this, and he, Book, and Spongy hurry across, before being met with oncoming traffic. Book asks how they will cross, but Tennis ball uses his grappling gun to fly above the traffic, and Book points out how he's leaving her and Spongy behind. Tennis Ball crashes into Needle, knocking her off the ladder and back into the Science Center, and Needle gets annoyed at the progress she lost. Tennis Ball laughs at how he finally caught up to Needle, before both of them get poisoned by bugs. Book and Spongy observe the traffic blocking them, and Book suggests some ideas, such as diverting the traffic somehow, or proposing a new highway infrastructure to the zoning officials of this town. Spongy says that Book is overthinking how to get past, and he uses his spongy body to make the cars crash into him on impact, while Book stares in shock. Spongy tells Book to pick up the slack, and the duo carefully cross the road. Once they get to the other side, Book complements on how amazing Spongy is, before noticing that Ice Cube isn't present at her Challenge Station. Spongy explains that she died, and Book uses her alphabet prize to recover her. Meanwhile, Bubble is recapping the events of BFDIA to Leafy, and gets up to the time where Needle was on FreeSmart before noticing that they want Ice Cube to get recovered and tells Leafy to crank the Hand-powered Recovery Center, which Leafy refuses to do. Book and Spongy run through the Science Center and encounter a poisoned Golf Ball. Spongy points out the fact that she looks like she has been poisoned, and cheers. Book decides to feed Golf Ball some anti-poison, reviving Golf Ball. Book asks Golf Ball what she needs to do, and Golf Ball responds by informing her that she has to avoid the bugs. Suddenly, Pineapple launches bugs at them, but Spongy crushes the bugs. While Pineapple shoots bugs at Spongy with a bug gun, Book asks Golf Ball what's going on, and the latter replies that she needs help getting to the top of the building so she can get her Embarrassment Serum. Book calls Golf Ball's invention useless, but agrees to help her. Book, Spongy, and Golf Ball progress forward, while Spongy keeps flopping on more bugs. Pineapple asks why his tactics aren't working, and Book says that his bugs are no match for Spongy. Irritated, Pineapple gets out a bug cannon, shooting out a giant cannonball of bugs, which Spongy catches with his mouth. After a short silence, Spongy spits out the bug ball, which hits Pineapple, sending him flying out the building. Golf Ball is relieved that there are no bugs left, and the trio progress through the building. On the way, they find the poisoned corpses of Needle and Tennis Ball, and Golf Ball suggests to leave them there as they clearly weren't skilled enough to navigate the Science Center, but Book feeds Tennis Ball and Needle some anti-poison, reviving them. Golf Ball asks Book why she keeps working against herself. Needle is surprised to see that she and Tennis Ball are alive, and Book pulls them into a group hug, saying that they're all back together. Tennis Ball then grabs Golf Ball and heads up the stairs with her, and Golf Ball tells Needle to find her Embarrassment Serum. Book asks Tennis Ball what happened to the truce they made, and Tennis Ball explains that since they caught up to Needle, their truce has ended. Needle searches through the rubble and finds Golf Ball's Embarrassment Serum, but asks Book why she allied with Tennis Ball against her. Book tries to explain, but Needle hits her with a an embarrassment dart, making Book embarrassed and start flailing around.
Tennis Ball heads up to the next floor of the Science Center with Golf Ball, and is delighted now that he's finally in the lead, and that it's good that he gets to see Golf Ball again, who demands that she be let go of since they still need to find her Embarrassment Serum. Suddenly, they encounter Mirror and Spool, who call Tennis Ball and Golf Ball their new test subjects. Tennis Ball is confused as to why Mirror and Spool are here, since he thought they did makeovers. Spool explains to them that green is totally in style, and she poisons herself with bugs, turning green and dying, and Mirror says that they'll need more test subjects like Tennis Ball and Golf Ball. Needle catches up to them and informs Golf Ball that she retrieved her Embarrassment Serum, and Golf Ball orders to fire it at Mirror. Needle then throws the Embarrassment Serum at Mirror, who shatters into pieces and dies. Golf Ball questions why Needle threw the serum when she clearly said to fire it, but Tennis Ball snatches it off the ground and heads up to the rooftop with Golf Ball. Tennis Ball says that now he has brought Golf Ball to the roof and got her Embarrassment Serum back, and he claims Golf Ball's Challenge Station. He then asks her what his prize is, and since he knows her so well, he thinks that her reward is extremely advantageous, such as a drone to carry him to the finish or a revamped version of the BFDI Tips & Tricks book catered specifically to him. However, Golf Ball yells at Tennis Ball and says he doesn't deserve a reward. Tennis Ball asks why he doesn't, and explains how he completed her challenge. Golf Ball says that the reward isn't about the challenge, and Tennis Ball asks Golf Ball if she really wants him to win the game, and Golf Ball replies that she doesn't leaving Tennis Ball in disbelief and shock. Meanwhile, Needle arrives at a split path on the glass road for episode 13's challenge and is confused, since they didn't have a challenge in that episode. She reads out the sign, which reads "EPISODE 13: CHOOSE ONE OF TWO PATHS: Explore the unexplored or descend to the fiery underworld". Needle decides to pick the path "Explore the unexplored" and continues upwards along the glass road. Tennis Ball asks Golf Ball what she means by her not wanting him to win, and Golf Ball explains that even though she doesn't know what has gone over Tennis Ball recently, but says that she can't support him going down the path of cruelty and chaos to get himself further in the game. Tennis Ball says that he was just trying to do what he could to win for the both of them, but Golf Ball reminds him that the way to win for the both of them was to build more inventions, and that she wanted him to become smart, but instead she saw him become a villain. Tennis Ball states that he had to, and that he wouldn't have gotten that far if he was just "goody-goody" with everyone, and Golf Ball sternly responds with that if he wants to be a villain, then maybe he doesn't deserve to win. Tennis ball stutters and denies his villainous side, explaining to her how he worked with Book during the challenge, which he claims to be a nice deed. Golf Ball explains that even though working with Book is a noble feat due to her pathetic nature in challenges (and Book and Spongy show up, with Book asking what they were talking about), Golf Ball couldn't ignore the detestable moves he made. Golf Ball says that she can only hope that Tennis Ball can turn his behaviour around, and she won't root for him to win until he becomes a nicer person again. Additionally, Golf Ball gives Tennis Ball a wrapped gift shaped like her Embarrassment Serum, saying that she's seen enough embarrassment for one day. Tennis Ball snatches the gift and mocks Golf Ball, saying that maybe he doesn't have to win for the both of them, since he's sure there are plenty of people who want him to win, before storming off angrily down the path leading to the Underworld. He immediately heads back up and explains that he doesn't know why he went down that path, and that he meant to go up the path led by the sign "Explore the unexplored", before actually doing so. Book and Spongy arrive at the split path, and Book asks herself how Woody had time to build branching paths. She reads the signs and rhetorically asks which path she think they'll go to. Spongy gets excited and says that he loves the feeling of burning into a crisp until my skin falls off, and says how they'll go down to the underworld, before sliding down the path. After a silence, fire appears around the hole, and Spongy is heard screaming. Book hesitates, but eventually deices to save Spongy, before sliding down too. Spongy is seen screaming in the underworld, but after the view screams out, he sees a house down there and says how cool it is. He hears Book echoing that she'll save him, before she lands on his squishy body and bounces back out. Spongy grumbles and heads inside the underworld house, closing its door shut.
I don't know why I went down that path, I meant to go up this one.
Elsewhere Needle is running while suddenly Book shatters the glass road while screaming her signature scream. She lands on Needle and Book and Tennis Ball manages to overtake them and arrived at Ruby and her sister’s. Ruby explains the challenge. Tennis Ball meets her sisters, because that was where they were hanging out. Tennis Ball opens a lot of houses but sees Ruby's sisters everywhere, Needle and Book arrive. Ruby says the ground is acid because Needle asked her why they were in the trees. Needle looked like she was gonna skip, Ruby says YOU'RE GONNA SKIP? And her sisters all start crying. Ruby reveals the prize to be a shiny blue Swap Token and says what it does. Needle and Book do the challenge anyway. And the trio continue searching for the bunk bed but instead knocked over all of Ruby’s sisters and killed them all in acid (possibly permanently). There is nothing left except Ruby and the Final 3. Ruby reveals the bunk bed location to be on top of that spire. Needle breaks the spire and the bunk bed lands on Ruby’s platform, knocking her. Book saves her in time before she gets killed by acid. Tennis Ball gets the Swap Token and wins instead because he was in the bunk bed first.
A duck flies towards Bomby in the birdhouse, who screams in fear.
Tennis Ball arrives at Bomby’s challenge and Bomby says he needs TB to get him into the birdhouse. TB skips. Needle arrives and as usual she skips too, but Book somehow doesn’t and throws Bomby in. Book wins Bomby's challenge, gets a banana and slides in a train breaking a door and causing the train to move, and she proceeds to Episode 16. The camera pans to Bomby who is doing absolutely nothing for 2 seconds until A duck suddenly appears heading for Bomby, who when close starts screaming but before Duck can get to Bomby the episode abruptly cuts to the next scene. It is possible he gets killed by Duck offscreen.
The trio run simultaneously for one scene until TB and Book get to Pencil’s challenge. They passed it. Needle arrives about to skip but Pencil stopped her. Needle said she is in last place and she needs to go now, Pencil told Needle to listen what her challenge is, adding that there is a super good reward for Needle, but she rejected, saying she wants to "win for herself", but Pencil it will never work, because you can't win if you are pushing people away who wants to help you and asks Needle why she wants to win on her own, Needle responds that she doesn't want to be anyone's ally or friend, Pencil counters her, saying it will be boring because it is just her alone, telling her to consider why FreeSmart was even created, to have friends battling with you. Pencil consoles Needle that it will be great to win with your friends and there is nothing wrong for being "needy". Pencil reveals that her challenge is to walk past her without touching the SuperVan. Needle realizes the challenge is easy and completed it. She gets the Supervan, Pencil’s reward. She feels better. Pan back to the simultaneous scene, where Needle slaps Pencil because during the discussion Pencil said Needy and Needle did not slap her. Meanwhile, Book arrives at Challenge 17, where she meets Nickel, bouncing around saying she needs to get him to his true self. Book skips, but Nickel tears up and Book does Nickel's challenge anyway. Needle and Pencil overtake Tennis Ball. Book is brushing Nickel, and Nickel says he has no friends. The van hits Book, deflating the pool and bending Nickel. Nickel feels weird. But TB grabs on to the Supervan and gets dragged, and at Nickel's, he gets soiled! Needle expresses her concern for the SuperVan being destroyed, but Pencil brags that nothing can defeat the SuperVan. Then Tennis Ball manages to separate the van in half, to Pencil annoyance. Tennis Ball gets the useful part of the Supervan and drives on.
Needle and Pencil are still managing to drive their half broken Supervan into Challenge 18. Needle gets off the Supervan just in time for Pencil to jump off the cliff, and possibly dying offscreen. Fries explains the challenge and his reward is to help Needle cross the cliff. Needle says we can already cross it but Fries shatters it. Needle still finds a way to skip and Fries replies "Whatever." Needle gets to Challenge 19 where she meets Pin. Needle says she is skipping this one. Pin was sad but then shouts out if Needle collects 10 items then Pin will tell Needle where to go. Needle hopes it is not in the toilet. Pin lies it is not in the toilet. Split screen of Book TB and Needle. Tennis Ball gets to Fries, where Fries says to TB to turn on his beacon. Tennis Ball is yapping about his villain arc and Fries is sick of it. Tennis Ball agrees to turn on Fries' beacon, unwrapping a present and he gets two wires with clips at each end, confused. Book manages to unbend Nickel, lines up the cutlery, melts it and pours it in Nickel's hole. Nickel senses a storm coming and suddenly it begins raining cutlery. so Book uses him as her cover and runs to Challenge 18. Tennis Ball hides under the half of the Supervan while Fries just uses his umbrella. The cutlery rain however also meant that 10 of forks and knives fell into Needle’s basket and Needle completes Challenge 19. Pin congratulates her, however says the road goes down the toilet, then brags about how she cannot pinky swear because she doesn’t have pinkies, fingers, hands, arms and limbs for that matter but she does have keys and starts talking about pinky swears and Pin’s keys swear but Needle slaps and runs off. At Challenge 20, She meets Pin AGAIN, having to distribute 10 items.
Book is running with Nickel through the Forest of Cutlery and they get to Tennis Ball, however the former gets over the chasm. Nickel lands near Tennis Ball and Fries and Tennis Ball pleads to Nickel he has to take cover. But Nickel brushes it off then sings rain rain go away and without warning the clouds and cutlery vanish into thin air, and Nickel celebrates. TB still cannot light the beacon but TB realized something. TB has to use what he has. So using Fries’ fry as the electrolyte, Nickel as the cathode, and a fork as the anode, and attaching the wires he creates a potato battery. Tennis Ball powers up Fries’ beacon, which in reality is a Yellow Face Beacon. Fries said that still counts and fills in the chasm with Pencil still at the bottom. Also, Tennis Ball made Nickel look like his true self. He gets a Yoyle Token and Nickel lies it can warp TB through space and time and he can teleport to the finish.
Needle is listening to Pin’s tips while Book knocks over Needle and they both get flushed into the toilet. TB arrives at Pin’s challenge and sells her cutlery limbs. Pin starts walking and running and declares TB wins Pin's challenge and he wins a shoe with a sprout. Pin asks TB "You like?" and TB just jumps in the toilet, meaning Tennis Ball does not like Pin’s reward. Pin says "Whatever" the same style as Fries did and throws the cutlery in the toilet. Cut to a scene where Needle and Book are having trouble going through the sewers. Tennis Ball briefly joins but the scene ends after Needle and Book make it out. The duo arrive at Challenge 21, where Pin greets them yet again. Book comments on Pins limbs while Needle screams "What are you doing!" Pin says that this is Episode 21. However Needle realized that there wasn’t a challenge in We're Not Friends. It was a non competition episode but Pin wants them to grow yellow toe-may-toes anyway. Needle skips. Book and Pin fight for a bit and Pin comments on Book's behavior throughout the entire season. Tennis Ball arrives and Pin mocks him like how she did during BFDIA 22. Book skips. Pin says Book made a good choice. Pin then asks Tennis Ball if he can help her grow Yellow Tomatoes. Meanwhile Needle arrives at “Coiny’s” Challenge where she meets Nickel, who is impersonating Coiny. Coiny is still at the bottom of the lava. Needle also skips the last challenge but she says she’ll make it. Book arrives at Challenge 22. She meets Nickel and she wondered where Leafy is. Nickel then quickly painted himself green to look like Leafy and develops a weird accent. Book and “Leafy” go and plant the flag.
Tennis Ball is growing tomatoes for Pin and wins Challenge 21. Pin gives TB the most game changing reward, an Immunity Token, however he has all tokens at play so it is just useless. Tennis Ball catches up to Book, but Book tells him Needle is near the end so TB uses his Yoyle Token, there is a bright flash of light but suddenly he turns into Yoyle Metal. Nickel then revealed he has been lying, and the glass road begins to shatter under Tennis Ball’s feet, and he starts running wild. Shards of the road land on Book and she gets hurt. Tennis Ball says the glass cannot bear the weight of his Yoyle Metal. Book steals yellow tomatoes, and as Pin was about to say Book cannot have that without Pin’s permission, Book made a threatening movement towards Pin yelling "SHUSH!" Book uses Nickel to throw the tomato onto Tennis Ball, who returns to normal again. He says he wasn’t intending to sabotage Book. Book knew a place where she and “Leafy” can plant the flag, so first she climbs up the lava fountain but forgot to bring the flag. Next she climbs up again but this time only brought the flag and forgot to bring “Leafy” this time. The third time she swims up she grabbed the wrong person instead and not “Leafy”. The final time she manages to finally bring “Leafy” up. “Leafy” dedicates “her” flag to Book and plants it. The flag sinks under the fountain into the volcano and rests near Coiny where he is still stuck at. “Leafy”, who is now “Coiny”, gives Book Pin’s Drill but Book refuses it. “Coiny” gives her glue instead. Book wanted to use something to overtake Needle and Tennis Ball. From advice from Bubble she has the motivation to make a hang glider from her book pages. The trio are racing towards the finish where Woody is waiting for the both of them. He sighs. He sees Needle and Tennis Ball and screams, prepares himself, and throws the shards at the contestants Needle and Tennis Ball, and TB loses his swap token. They form a truce. Nickel sees the swap token and wonders if Coiny and him would’ve swapped placed form the very start. Meanwhile Coiny is still with Pin’s corpse at the bottom of the lava. The flag pierces Pin’s dead body shattering into pieces and Coiny sees Book’s picture on the flag, but before Coiny can do something, he swaps places with Nickel. Nickel screams painfully and is not seen for the rest of this episode.
Coiny surfaces with Pin’s drill on the fountain and spots Book, with the hang glider, quietly chanting her name, and runs toward the glass road heading for her. Tennis Ball and Needle got to Woody but then they have to get down because Woody has a flamethrower. But there is a problem, the two cannot proceed. Book lands on Woody and he loses his Mech Suit from Pin. Book tried to settle this not using violence but Woody uses a rocket to blast her off, and Book changes her mind. Tennis Ball and Needle prepare for battle with Woody. Woody cracks his knuckles then awkwardly panics and falls off the glass road, never seen again. With only Needle and Tennis Ball, they fight onto who will get onto the island, breaking their truce. Book gets tired, lays down, and the rope falls out from her pages, actually completing Donut’s challenge from earlier, the supports gives Book her reward, knocking the island TB and Needle was on, and Book gets the island itself. However no one has set foot on it, and the final three fight for it, until Coiny appears out of nowhere, attempting to drill Book. Book dodges his attack just in time but still he shatters the glass road and the Final Three plummet, while Coiny manages to rebound onto the glass road.
Book declares her victory over Needle and Tennis Ball.
The scene cuts to Book facing down, heavily injured, then to two piles of glass. Tennis Ball rises from one of them and Needle rises too. They run to the island and fight to get the island again, saying that they need that immunity, before suddenly hearing a stomp. Book steps foot onto the farm chunk and replies with a heavy voice: “I, WIN.” Then she goes on to freak out and celebrate while Needle and Tennis Ball look at each other, feeling bad and shocked. The camera zooms out and after Book’s long speech about her winning, the voting screen appears and Bubble gives out instructions to the viewers. Tennis Ball and Needle are up for elimination and Book gets Immunity.
Stinger[]
Coiny sits and overlooks the glass bridge he shattered before Pin shows up with her new limbs. They talk and reunite, however, plummet to the ground when the drill left over falls down, hence making the glass bridge collapse underneath both of them. Then a final scene of the map and who completed the challenges before fading to black, and the video ends.

Trivia[]
- This is the eighth episode in the series to have one word in the title, with the first seven being "Crybaby!", "Lofty", "Vomitaco", "Hurtful!", "Meaty", "🥚", and "Alone".
- This was the 1000th watchable video on the jacknjellify channel when it was uploaded, if you include unlisted videos, YouTube shorts, and livestreams, but exclude private videos at the time and the 24/7 livestream archives which are too long to be watched.
- The 23rd word of this episode is "each". As of now, BFDIA's secret message is: "Don't try that thing again, because it definitely won't work this time. Instead, you should string together the twenty-first words in each...".
- The next word may likely be "episode".
- The second secret message is: "Actually, forget about what I just said, because there's no message here either. You were so foolish to believe carries (Cary's) words go get...
General[]
- This is the last BFDIA episode and the last episode of the series overall to be released in 2025.
- In-universe, it is the final BFDIA episode of 2015.
- This episode is the longest BFDI episode to date and the first to be at least an hour long.
- This episode's length surpasses BFDIA 5's total runtime of 47 minutes, after 12 years of being the longest episode.
- If BFDIA 5's parts are counted separately, "Shattered!" instead takes the title from "Seasonal Shift", surpassing its runtime of 43:17 in 11 months.
- This episode's length surpasses BFDIA 5's total runtime of 47 minutes, after 12 years of being the longest episode.
- This is the first BFDIA episode since "Catch These Hands" to have a wait between episodes longer than 3 months.
- This is also the 2nd episode in a row in release date order to skip a month of uploading, after "Alone".
- This is the first episode of BFDIA (the second in release date order and the first in-universe) to feature Alem Hadzic as the voice of Gelatin, following the departure of Ian Woodside.
- This is the third BFDIA episode to have two intros in one episode, the other two being "Zeeky Boogy Doog" and "Intruder Alert".
- This is the second BFDIA episode in a row to premiere in theaters before its YouTube release, following "I'm The Main Character".
- It is also the seventh episode of the series to do this behind "Alone", "I'm The Main Character", "Last One Standing", "PointyPointyPointy ♫", "What's Up Bell's String?", and "The Great Goikian Bake-Off".
- It is the fifth non-YouTube exclusive premiere of an episode in 2025, following "Alone", "I'm The Main Character", "Last One Standing" and "BFB 31".
- It is the third episode in a row to do this, after “Alone” and "I'm The Main Character".
- It is the second episode in a row and for an object show series to partner with cinema brands to premiere in theaters across the contiguous United States, after “Alone”.
- This is the first time an armless contestant has made it to the final 3.
- This episode is similar to "Hurtful!". It is the 23rd episode of its season, it features its final challenge (which includes all of the previous challenges), and it has a one-word title with an exclamation point.
- This is likely the last challenge episode (in-universe) of the series until "Getting Teardrop to Talk". It is also the last challenge episode to be animated in the pre-BFB style as IDFB is a non-competition season.
- This is the second BFDIA episode to release in December, the first being "Respect to the Wicked".
- The LOL goes to space in this episode, but Saw–who was in the LOL at the time–claimed to have not experienced space before in "Four Goes Too Far". This episode may retcon that fact, but Saw is never seen looking at space and is in the LOL, possibly making it still true.
- This is the second season in-universe to have a final three consisting of two girls and one boy, following season one, and followed by season four.
- In the theater release of this episode, the map displaying the progress of each contestants placements in the challenge is not present.
- Needle removes the "Y" key from the HPRC's keypad and throws it to Firey, who presumably reapplies it to the keypad offscreen later in the episode, which is how he manages to recover Leafy despite it being removed.
- When Golf Ball uses her Woody detector, it informs her that Woody is 40000 km away in the direction of the glass road. This is approximately the circumference of Earth, foreshadowing the fact that the road loops around the entire planet and eventually leads back to the starting area.
- The yoylese on the drawn map translates to the following: INTROA, OCEAN, RIG, MONOLITH, GEODE, RESORT, CANOPY (also appears written on the 1st train station's sign), MAROON METRO, CUTLERY FOREST (CUTLERY is seen on the 2nd train station's sign), GLOWY, SEWERS, FOUNTAINS and THE SKY.
- At 26:26, Ice Cube's ladder includes a backwards message on the left side saying "(warning: is awesome)".
- Interestingly, the YouTube release date for this episode is set for December 2nd, exactly 23 days until Christmas, matching the episode number.
- This is the seventh (chronologically fourth) episode where a contestant who had lost in the previous episode does not show up to the Cake at Stake, said contestant being Coiny. Previous episodes where this happens are:
- "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", where Spongy does not show up due to being temporarily captured by Evil Leafy.
- "Catch These Hands", where Coiny does not show up due to being stuck inside of a cash register in space.
- "🥚", where Coiny does not show up because he was sleeping in the light tower.
- "This Episode Is About Basketball", where Foldy and Bell do not show up due to being dead.
- "Enter the Exit", where Balloony does not show up due to being dead.
- "Category One", where Basketball does not show up due to being captured by One.
- With Book winning, BFDIA continues the trend of Michael Huang voicing at least one character in the Final 2 of each season.
- The signposts for each of the repeated challenges use the actual segments from their respective episode's contest wheels. Case in point: A magnifying glass is attached to Episode 11's challenge signpost over where it says to "Rip Flower's Petals Off". In the original episode, the "Rip Flower's Petals Off" option on Flower's challenge wheel was also incredibly small and needed a microscope to be seen.
- One of the tables at the Science Center has a tri-fold poster board with a drawing of Yoylite, along with what appears to be an actual chunk.
- In this episode, we find out who three of the Final Four from last season support.
- Bubble supports Book.
- Coincidentally, Book wins the final immunity challenge this episode, just like Bubble did back in season one. This fact is even brought up by Bubble herself during the voting screen.
- Flower supports Needle.
- This is possibly because Needle stated that she didn't hate Flower earlier in the episode. However, Flower herself later found out that she just said that to get Flower to her in order to complete Ice Cube's challenge.
- Leafy supports Tennis Ball.
- This is most likely because Tennis Ball won her challenge and became her "BFF" in the previous episode.
- Bubble supports Book.
Elimination[]
- With Coiny's elimination:
- It is the third time he was eliminated (chronogically the second in-universe order).
- This is the third time (2nd in-universe) the final 3 had two females and one male.
- He is no longer competing in any ongoing seasons.

- At 12:14, there is a smoother transition between shots and the rope is present in the final.
- At 12:17, Book places the rope in between her pages in the final, whereas she just holds onto it in theaters.
- At 12:26, Tennis Ball looks at Needle and Book after opening his yoylestew kit in the theater release, and does not in the YouTube release. He also has a book in the final.
- At 13:04, In the theater release, Tennis Ball is not wearing an apron, and Needle is not holding any yoyleberries.
- At 13:24, the ocean is lower down, the sky is different, and the yoylestew on Book's face is missing in the theater release.
- At 13:29, the ocean is lower down, and the sky has less clouds in the theater release.
- At 13:35, Needle takes the aforementioned yoylestew splattered all over Book's face and throws it at the LOL window in the final, but she grabs some yoylestew out of a bowl and there is still no yoylestew on Book's face in theaters.

Continuity references[]
- Tennis Ball screaming as the drill slowly approaches him is a nod to "The Reveal" when he screams as a knife approaches him in slow motion after he was safe from elimination, before disappearing inexplicably.
- The final challenge is every challenge of the season, as seen in the other seasons' final challenges; a callback to "Hurtful!" and “B.F.B. = Back From Beginning” (canonically in the future).
- Tennis Ball's expression while stomping the bugs on the 3rd challenge is the same as when it happened in "Category One".
- When Needle destroys the bugs with the Locker of Losers, for a single frame, Teardrop does the same pose as in her voting video from "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3".
- This is the third time that Coiny and Needle were the bottom two, with the first time being in "Puzzling Mysteries" and the second being "Outbreak At Stake".
- When Pencil and Book each get hit with the embarrassment serum, they spout gibberish and make the same struggling face Golf Ball made in "Crybaby!". Pencil later does this again with Golf Ball, Ruby, Gelatin, Ice Cube, Yellow Face, and Rocky when Woody escapes with the last remaining chunk of Dream Island Again.
- Needle again commands Teardrop to get Firey, as a reference to "The Glistening".
- Ice Cube makes her "NO!" face from "Rescission".
- Book recovers Coiny to find out that he's still alive, which is the opposite of what happened in "Zeeky Boogy Doog". Coiny's "huh?" is even reused for Book.

- When Nickel fills in for Coiny, he makes the same pose as the latter from the intro as he says "I sure hope I'm not eliminated".
- Golf Ball's Woody detector may be a nod to the Leafy Detector from "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know".

- The scene where Tennis Ball, Book, and the LOLers go up to the summit of Yoyle Mountain is done in the same manner as "The Long-lost Yoyle City", with the music from that episode's scene being retained.
- Also in this scene, there are several flags that acknowledge how long some of the previous contestants (including Firey, Ruby, and Gelatin) have competed in BFDIA.
- Ice Cube telling Needle that she's "such a fast driver" is a reference to one of her lines from "Barriers and Pitfalls".
- When Rocky speaks to Needle, the latter makes the same surprised expression that Pencil and Book made in "Respect to the Wicked".
- Tennis Ball asking Golf Ball to read him an edition of a BFDI Tips and Tricks book is a reference to the latter's book of the same name from "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3".
- One of the houses from "Bridge Crossing" and "Don't Pierce My Flesh" appears in the fiery underworld, albeit modified.
- Some of Ruby's sisters re-use some of Ruby's gestures from previous episode, including her dance from "Get in the Van", her crying from "No More Snow!", and a pose resembling the one she made in "Start the Shift".

- Tennis Ball sings a variation of his and Nickel's lullaby from "PointyPointyPointy ♫".
- The scene with recommended characters yelling to the hosts is a reference to "The Escape from Four".
- The challenges of the non-competition episodes, "Well, Look Who It Is!" and "We're Not Friends" are represented by the following:

- "Grow yellow tomatoes!" represents Pin and Leafy's quest to grow a yellow tomato.
- Book's facial expression when Spongy slides down to the underworld is very similar to her expression when lava started coming to the surface in "Don't Dig Straight Down".
