Spruce Tree is a contestant in BFDI Mini Natural who first appeared in "The Four Is Lava".
Appearance[]
Spruce Tree is a variation of Tree whose body is vertically elongated, and whose trunk is brown instead of Tree's tan-colored trunk. Their color choices are inspired by the appearance of trees in Minecraft.
Starting from "Climb Over the Garden Wall", due to Grapes inserting bonemeal into their head, they are larger, their trunk is taller and their limbs are removed.
Personality[]
Spruce Tree is shown to be easily influenced by others, along with being easily startled. This is shown very well in "Grab A Leaf", where they follow Beehive and Lotus Flower to climb up the tree, along with becoming very scared after almost being killed by Geode, as well as "Survive Evil Leafy", where they hid the entire time. However, this does not mean they cannot be independent when needed, as they revealed the votes in "Mow the Lawn", and were going to do the challenge by themself before getting frozen by Aurora Borealis.

Battle for BFDI[]
In "The Four is Lava", Spruce Tree. along with many other Tree variations, sank into lava as Four was bringing Gaty, Lollipop, and Teardrop to the Cake at Stake area. They were seen again right after Four grabbed Taco and Ice Cube off of the roof of the bathrooms.
BFDI Mini Natural[]
In "Grab a Leaf", Spruce Tree started off following Beehive and Lotus Flower to climb up the tree where the leaves were. However, when Geode was knocked off of the tree, Spruce Tree got extremely scared and dodged out of the way, shaking. A leaf then landed on their head, declaring them safe.
In "Mow the Lawn", Spruce Tree pulled the cloth off of the voting results, revealing the 50/50% between Lotus Flower and Grapes. They then kicked the table, revealing that Lotus Flower got 40 more votes than Grapes. Once the challenge started, Spruce Tree was walking over to a patch of grass before getting frozen by Aurora Borealis. Fortunately, Geode's strategy knocked Redcurrant into the frozen Spruce Tree, knocking them down and letting them flatten a patch of grass, granting them immunity.
In "Survive Evil Leafy", they hide behind a tree when Evil Leafy starts roaming around. They stay behind this tree the entire episode, extremely scared, even fighting Grapes to stay behind the tree.
In "Climb Over the Garden Wall", Grapes uses a bonemeal on Spruce Tree, making them grow bigger and lose their limbs, similar to that of Tree in "Balancing P.A.C.T.". They end up losing the challenge because they couldn't move, being put up for elimination against Redcurrant.
In "Balance Off the Evil Canyon", Redcurrant is sitting on Spruce Tree as the two view the elimination votes. Spruce Tree survives with 38%, before being teleported to the Evil Canyon. On the Evil Canyon, Spruce Tree simply sits and waits until Chestnut is thrown at them. They then start to spin around, creating an intense gust of wind. They eventually regain balance on the Evil Canyon as Seashell knocks Chestnut off.
In "Survive the Swarm of Bees", they are still on the Evil Canyon when the bees arrive. Due to still being large thanks to Grapes, they cannot fight back. However, thanks to Seashell distracting the bees, Spruce Tree is never stung, and therefore, not put up for elimination.
In "3-Legged Race", Spruce Tree, along with the rest of the contestants still in the game, are watching the others race. However, Grapes comes along with a giant saw, cutting Spruce Tree down. They die by this action, crushing Geode (meaning they are not in the rejoin vote), and inadvertantly killing Seashell.
In "Travel 2,763 Miles", Spruce Tree gets recovered by Grapes using the Leg-Powered Recovery Center in Beehive's Super-Van. He pulls out a bunch of freeze juice syringes and throws them all at Aurora Borealis. Most of them miss, but one of them hits them and they freeze, falling into the Goiky Canal. The Super-Van goes into the Goiky Canal, and Grapes dies. Spruce Tree tries to recover them, but used his hands so the recovery center vanished. The Super-Van arrived at the finishing point, giving Spruce Tree immunity.
Abilities[]
- Self resurrection(ish): Kind of like Tree, they become a larger version of themselves. It is currently unknown whether Spruce Tree is able to resurrect with water or not.

Trivia[]
- Spruce Tree's original appearance has them appear alongside several variations of Tree that are based on tree species in Minecraft, and are all grouped together.
- This is referenced in "Climb Over the Garden Wall" when Grapes uses a bone-meal, a Minecraft item, on them.
- Spruce Tree's pose for their voting icon is a reference to Tree's voting icon from BFB.
