In "Get in the Van", Bubble is on a swing. Pin comes and swings nearby, which annoys Bubble. Bubble then moves away and asks Pin what she wants. Pin wants to resolve her issues and be friends, but Bubble refuses since she is with Match and Pencil and needs their support. Bubble insists on their differences, saying she is a bubble and Pin is a pin. Pin argues they should set aside their issues, noting that Bubble's alliance is dead, but they both agree they dislike Leafy. When Leafy approaches, they panic and react strangely. After some swinging, Bubble leaves unexpectedly. Pin asks Ice Cube and Book to join her, but Book declines while accusing her of making Ice Cube go to Match's party. However, Ice Cube confirms she also wants to go to Match's party.
Pin appeared to have a grudge against book for this, as mentioned in "Taste the Sweetness", "PointyPointyPointy ♫" and "Airplanes in the Night Sky".
In "Spore Day", Book returned to The Stars by Nickel to compete, but Pencil doubts Nickel's story. Pin is upset about working with The Stars, as Book is confused about her actions towards Pin but wants teamwork. Pin mentions the swing incident; Nickel offers to swing with her, but Pin prefers to talk privately with Book.
The swings later appeared in "Oneirophobe's Nightmare" in Black Hole's dream, while Tree and Fanny avoid being sucked in by Black Hole.
