Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years! is the fourth BFDI short which celebrates the 8th anniversary of BFDI, as well as the 4th anniversary of "Thanks for 4 years!" and thanks the fans for watching the show. Though it was intended to be released on the 2nd, the video was uploaded to YouTube on January 3, 2018. Match thanks the viewers for supporting the original Thanks for 4 Years! for four years. Tennis Ball comes over to ask her if she meant all of their videos of the series, to which Match corrects him stating that she only cared of "Thanks for 4 Years!" more than any other video. As Match keeps saying words that sound like Four, Four, slowly statue-walking, moves over and screeches at her, and Cary as a stick figure interrupts and thanks the viewers in all seriousness for eight years of BFDI.

Trivia

• Cary does every voice in this video.
• Everyone is styled in a BFDI/BFDIA/IDFB style except 8-Ball, Four, and Match (before speaking). 8-Ball and Match are styled similarly to how they looked in the IDFB intro, while Four's appearance matches his look in BFB.
• Although Match uses the assets that are used now, sometimes her eyes change into the eye assets used in pre-"Insectophobe's Nightmare", symbolizing how much the animation has improved.
• This is one of Yellow Cary's only appearances in a BFDI video.
• This is the first Jacknjellify video and the first BFDI short uploaded in 2018.
• The only BFB newbie to appear in this video is 8-Ball. He is impaled on the 8th candle, which pops out of the cake when the text changes.
• Match said "Four" or a word that is similar to "Four" 22 and a half times.
• This is the first video animated by Cary since "Welcome Back".
• The video description explicitly says that the video is non-canon, meaning that the events which took place in the short did not actually happen in the BFDI timeline.
