Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years! is a short animation which celebrates the 12th anniversary of the Battle for Dream Island series as well as four years since the release of the video "Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years!". It was released on January 3, 2022. The video features Pen, Match, Tennis Ball, X, Two, the Announcer, and a Happy New Year message at the end.

Plot

The 20 original contestants are seen in the anniversary wheel. Pen goes out from the circle because he wants to ask Match something, he tries to ask her but she won't listen. Match then tells Pen that "he" is going to hear him, before the Announcer appears. The Announcer states that Pen would be getting a class 2 punishment for getting out of "ring formation" but Pen thinks because it's a special day, he's gets off "scot free" but instead would be getting a class 57 punishment. Before the Announcer obliterates Pen, Match also comes out of "ring formation" to try and reason with the Announcer but the Announcer decides to also obliterate Match. Before they got killed, Pen quickly tells Match what he wanted to say. Pen thanks the viewers for watching Match's version of "Thanks for 4 years" for 4 years and feels honored that people cared to watch that video for the last "quadruple year" and says "Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years". Match thinks that that's the last sentence she'll ever hear but Two comes out of nowhere and instead gets zapped by the "Laser Shooter Annihilator" but doesn't die, saving Match and Pen, which they thank Two for. Pen gives Two a trifold mirror as a token of his appreciation. Tennis Ball then promotes Object Con 2022 which is an Object based convention made by the OSC. Pen then tells TB and Two to not move as the perspective was just right and the animation fades out with a Happy New Year sign as X says to the viewers Happy New Year.

Trivia

• In the video, Object Con 2022 was mentioned, which was a 3-day convention that was live for 6 hours from January 7 to January 9 (6 PM EST).
• This marks the first time Two interacts with Match and the Announcer. However, it does not count since the short is non-canon.
• This marks as the first non-canon short that Two appears in.
• Match, Pen, and the rest of the cast have their original BFDI asset limbs. However, Two is still hand-drawn.
• The video was originally called "Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years of Thanks for 4 years! (AFTER PEN EDIT)" when uploaded.
  • It also didn't have a proper thumbnail for a while, being just a frame from a video.
  • This is the first video uploaded to jacknjellify in 2022.
