Before the intro[]
The episode starts with Just Not fighting a dragon for its gold stash (which was stolen by Nickel). Cake starts off the battle by attacking the dragon with spells. Before anyone can do anything else, Bomby, the team's healer, says that there's something wrong with it. Pillow seemingly gets bored, ignites Bomby, and throws him at the dragon. This kills everyone and ends their 38-week long campaign of "Goikys & Dragons". Nickel starts complaining to Pillow but gets shushed by her. Cake yells at Golf Ball to bring them back to normal size (as they were playing inside Tree). However, Golf Ball does not hear it, so Book throws the Goiky's Dragons box at her, trying to get Golf Ball's attention. Tree shakes the shrunken Just Not out of his head. However, the machine used to shrink Just Not can only do that—shrink. Luckily, Two is able to get them back to full size.
Two tells Just Not that there's a ruckus going on outside the hotel. According to Eraser, someone is giving out free food to the hotel's inhabitants. Two says that the food is being made by the hotel's new chefs; Four and X! The host-turned chefs aren't too keen on letting Two have a bite, insisting the food is for the hotel inhabitants only. Coiny, in an attempt to get inside the hotel, disguises himself as a sandwich. However, Four clearly sees through this disguise. Two sees this as the perfect opportunity to start Cake at Stake.
Cake at Stake[]
As Two announces that The Strongest Team on Earth. is up for elimination first, Snowball interrupts and rushes toward them, eager to steal the hotel meals created by Four and X. Two then introduces the prizes for those who are safe, which are file folders containing attack plans to bypass Four and X, who are guarding the hotel entrance to protect the food. Two announces that Grassy and Snowball are the first two to be safe on their team. Grassy receives a plan that instructs him to "Ride Snowball into Four as a weapon." Grassy and Snowball attempt this, but Four immediately zaps both of them. Robot Flower and Bell are also safe, with Robot Flower receiving a plan to "Launch Robot Flower toward X." The scene cuts to Bell spinning Robot Flower and launching her at X. Upon impact, X exclaims "Ow" and briefly levitates. Basketball and Eggy are in the bottom two on their team, and Two describes the situation as a ball being eliminated. When Eggy corrects Two, stating that she's not a ball, Two retracts their statement and announces that Basketball is safe. Basketball receives a plan to "Bounce on Four's head." The scene cuts to Basketball bouncing on Four's head, with Four saying "ow" with each bounce. Eggy is eliminated, and Two levitates her in the air, giving her a chance to say one final sentence. Eggy then says she will answer whether she came first or the chicken. However, Two interrupts Eggy, explaining that she has already used her one sentence, and they make Eggy vanish into thin air.
Next up for elimination is Are You Okay, and Pen and Golf Ball are the first two to be declared safe. They receive a plan instructing them to "Use Pen as a sword." The scene cuts to Golf Ball using Pen as a sword to attack Four, who is using X to block her swings. Two announces that TV, Puffball, and Eraser are the next ones to be safe. They receive a plan to "Just go nuts." Eraser sarcastically comments on its creativity. Two mentions that they ran out of ideas. The scene shows TV with wheels and Puffball pushing him with her mouth toward Four, while Eraser holds on, building speed. The impact results in TV having a cracked screen and Puffball getting loopy, while Four is unaffected. Fries and Tennis Ball are in the bottom two. Puffball tells Fries that he is her only friend on their team, while Golf Ball tells Tennis Ball that he must be safe as he is the only team member loyal to her. Two announces that Tennis Ball is safe and Fries is eliminated. Fries panics and orders Puffball to activate the elimination prevention plan. Two's hand briefly grows huge, obstructing Fries, causing him to disappear.
Tennis Ball receives a plan to "Try to scare X." The scene cuts to Tennis Ball roaring and making various noises to frighten X. X tells Four that Tennis Ball is scaring him, and Four immediately zaps Tennis Ball. Barf Bag then approaches Four and tries to bribe them some barf in exchange for food, to which Four responds by crushing her with his fist.
Two whispers a plan to Snowball that involves Two distracting Four and X while Snowball grabs a snack for them both. Two, making the sound of a watch, tells Four and X that it's playtime and they have five minutes. Four and X react with surprise and start flying around, giving Snowball the perfect opportunity get inside the kitchen and ransack food. However, Four notices Snowball on his way to the kitchen and teleports in front of him, blocking Snowball. Four then locks the kitchen with a lock and lasers.
Four states that this will serve as a lesson to Snowball, Tennis Ball, and Two before starting the intro by yelling Two's name.
Challenge[]
Two recovers everyone who died during Four's wrath. They then say they have always wanted to try Four and X's meal but probably never will, providing the challenge to prepare Two's dinner. Contestants must prepare a dish and present it to Two by sunset. Stealing is allowed. Two will then rank the food from one to ten, and the two teams with the lowest rankings will be up for elimination.
Book suggests they should slay a dragon. Cake isn't sure about her plan, saying there aren't dragons around their area, but remembers the dragon their team encountered in the last episode. Cake then agrees to Book's plan. A singer then provides a musical narration as Just Not starts their mission for the challenge. Nickel notices the narration, thinking it's cool. The singer then refers to the team as "our brave heroes and Nickel," offending Nickel, and goes on about how they'll have a feast.
Lightning acknowledges Just Not's plan to slay a dragon in surprise, but Black Hole recommends their team makes a simple meal. During this, Teardrop enters Tree's head, unnoticed. Death P.A.C.T. Again heads into an abandoned Gelatin's Steakhouse.
Yellow Face advertises by eating what implies to be grains of cereal, describing it as "munchy crunchy bunchy scklunchy goodness." Clock asks Yellow Face what he's advertising, with him answering, "One of the best-selling cereals at the Yellow Face Store." Winner suggests their team should make cereal for Two, with Bottle adding that they should use Yellow Face's "ad powers" to achieve the ingredients. A bright yellow background then fades in behind Yellow Face as he begins advertising oats, rice, wheat, and a big bowl to mix things in, with imagery appearing, complementing what he says. Clock then grabs the images of the oats, rice, wheat, and a big bowl, implying that the images were actual objects.
Snowball encourages his team, saying they're not wimps and that the others are babies. He plans that they should confront Four head-on to steal their meals. However, Robot Flower disagrees with Snowball, telling him that Four is "catastrophically powerful," adding that they would have to deal with the lasers and lock to the kitchen too. Snowball tells Robot Flower he thought she could go through the lasers unaffected because her body is metal. But Basketball corrects his claim, saying Robot Flower isn't composed of the sturdiest metal. Basketball suggests someone on the team should eat a yoyleberry, turning one's bodily composition into yoyle metal, which would reflect the lasers. Basketball then instructs the team to go to her Aboveground Factory, explaining that she has one of Golf Ball's bracelets which transports one to Yoyleland, where yoyleberries are. Robot Flower carries the team to Basketball's Aboveground Factory, but Four spots them entering. Having suspicions that the team's plan relates to stealing their hotel dish, Four follows them.
Gaty believes Two's challenge to "make them dinner" is literal, as in Two is the dinner themself. She suggests they put Two in a soup, but Coiny interrupts, wanting to trap Two between the slices of bread recycled from his sandwich disguise instead, believing someone said "sandwich." Barf Bag adds they should create traps to capture Two for Coiny's idea, and everyone approves. A montage begins of Team8s attempting to trap Two, failing to do so in every one of them. Needle sets up a leaf pile trap, then walks away, telling herself she's out of ideas if this one doesn't trap Two.
Golf Ball orders TV to search for the "yummiest beloved foods in the Goiky region." TV answers with the dream berry: a variety of yoyleberry that are, apparently, the tastiest berries and can be found only in their grasslands. Eraser and Pen celebrate, but TV explains that a lava flow that occurred in BFB 14 destroyed most sources of the dream berry. Despite this unfortunate news for the team, TV states he has an advanced locator installed to locate a dream berry. TV then gains wheels and orders Pen to push him to find a berry. As Pen moves him, TV uses the warmer and colder game to signify to Pen how close they are to locate one.
Tree expresses that the Gelatin's Steakhouse they're in looks very run down. Black Hole explains that Gelatin moving on to other chains has left this one abandoned. Lightning then says that "a dirty kitchen is still a kitchen" and activates a burner on the stove, accidentally igniting Marker. Black Hole saves Marker from dying by sucking up the fire, but Marker still receives burns on his body, which Lightning facepalms in disappointment of himself. Tree finds a box of 100 Chocolate Balls and asks if Two would like it. Suddenly, Teardrop exits Tree's head, steals the box, and escapes. Fanny exclaims, "I hate thieves!" in response. Lightning finds a dead fish in a freezer and throws it at Marker, catching it. Marker claims they can't use the fish for Two's dinner because it's deceased. Black Hole then gets confused if they should use the fish; Even though their team's goal is to prevent death, the fish is already deceased. Marker then proposes they can turn the dead fish into a fish roll to honor its memory. Fanny then thanks the fish for its service.
Are You Okay runs toward Golf Ball's Underground Factory, where TV guides them to locate a dream berry. Abruptly, a bunch of bugs climb out of a crack in the ground in front of the entrance. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball start crushing the bugs, with Golf Ball asking where the bugs are coming from. Tennis Ball answers that they're coming from the crack in the ground, and TV clarifies that the berry is also in there, explaining that the berry had survived the lava flow due to being lodged deep in the crack. As Tennis Ball and Golf Ball finish crushing the bugs, describing him and herself as "leg-only-ers," she commands Eraser and Pen to extract the berry with them being the only team members with arms and exemplifying them as "Arm-havers." Pen refuses, claiming their hands won't fit in the crack. But as a backup plan, he brought Golf Ball's Shrink-a-Tron so the team could shrink and go in to achieve the berry. Golf Ball tells Pen not to use the Shrink-a-Tron as there is no reversal function but gets interrupted with Pen shrinking the entire team. Golf Ball desperately asks how to undo this. Puffball responds by growing in size, explaining she can still adjust it. She says she will ask Two to undo the shrink. Golf Ball is relieved and tells her, "Finally, something useful for you to do!" After Puffball finds the claim insulting, she changes her mind about helping her team and joyfully leaves, sarcastically wishing them good luck. Golf Ball panics, but Eraser mocks and tells her to get over it. He then instructs everyone to link with each other to get the berry.
Teardrop runs out of Gelatin's Steakhouse with a box of 100 chocolate balls. She then trips and falls, dropping it, causing four chocolate balls to roll out. She gets back up and gives the box to Two. As Two opens the box, he gets upset, as the advertised "100 chocolate balls" isn't accurate, as there are only 96 now. Two explains to Teardrop that she has until sunset to find the four missing chocolate balls. He then informs her that the chocolate balls roll forever and that he wouldn't be surprised if one is in the Evil Forest by now. Panicking, Teardrop quickly runs off.
Just Not is in the Evil Forest. A chocolate ball bounces from the right to the left side of the screen, and Book asks if anyone saw it. The singer prompts the team to climb the mountain in the background, singing they shall face plight if they don't. Price Tag mentions Pillow defeating the dragon in the last episode, hoping they would change their mind. However, the singer repeats their prompt more forcibly, adding that the team won't ask more silly questions. Book suggests they follow what the singer says. Once they start climbing the mountain, the singer continues, narrating them walking up the mountain's endless staircase and crossing lava, reaching the top. Nickel questions why they obey the narration, thinking it's wasting their time. The singer then sings about the two slides from the top of the mountain, describing the left one as serene and the right leaving the team petrified. Bomby says the choice is obvious, choosing the left slide to slide down, but the singer sings about them choosing the right instead, claiming it will train them to defeat the dragon. Just Not persists while the singer repeats. With their third repeat, the singer begins shouting and forcing them to slide down the right one, and the team eventually gives in. As the team slides down the right slide, most scream in fear.
Marker holds the fish wrapped in bread, still upset that it's dead. Black Hole then has this idea that they undo the fish's death. Lightning recalls seeing the inventions when the team explored Golf Ball's Underground Factory, saying that there might be one that can revive the fish. So as Death P.A.C.T. Again runs out of Gelatin's Steakhouse, Tree trips and falls on a chocolate ball, which enters his treehouse. Marker asks if Tree is okay, responding that his head feels funny.
Are You Okay links with each other, with Pen at the end of the link trying to extract the dream berry from the crack. Tennis Ball asks if anyone hears something, to which a rolling chocolate ball knocks into the team, both falling in. The scene replays where Teardrop chases the chocolate ball, facepalming when it falls into the crack, then runs off. Golf Ball accepts the chocolate ball as part of their dish for Two. A bug then lands on the team. Fearing the bug will eat them alive in revenge, they escape the crack carrying the chocolate ball and dream berry while the bug chases them. As Pen points out Death P.A.C.T. Again is running in the opposite direction, Golf Ball instructs the team to grab onto Tree's leg to climb into his tree house. After the team does just that, Eraser questions why there's another chocolate ball in the tree house.
The Strongest Team on Earth is in Basketball's Aboveground Factory. Basketball orders Snowball to put on Golf Ball's transporting bracelet, get a yoyleberry from Yoyleland and return immediately. Four bangs on the door, demanding what the team's plans are. Basketball tells Snowball to wear the bracelet now. Snowball wears the bracelet transporting him to Yoyleland, grabs and eats a Yoyleberry, turning his body into yoyle metal, then returns. Four threatens to zap the team if they don't leave, then slams the door open. Basketball tells the team members to hide behind Snowball, then hides behind him too. She teasingly tells Four to attack them. Four zaps Snowball but is unaffected by it, to Four's surprise. He exits to the hall, continuing to zap Snowball while backing away as the team walks toward him. Basketball tells Four to give up, and Four says this is not how they should treat their chefs. Snowball says that no laser can stop them now. Despite this, Four tells them their current plan is pointless, as they still don't have a key to unlock the kitchen, to which he reveals both he and X own one each. Ironically, Basketball immediately commands Bell and Grassy to grab X and make him give them the key, with X standing at the opposite end of the hall. As Bell and Grassy approach X, Four tells him to run, but he levitates through the ceiling instead, still escaping.
Just Not walks through the Evil Forest with grumpy, annoyed, and tired expressions except Pillow. The singer narrates the team as disheveled from riding the slide, now venturing through the forest to find the dragon's nest. The team then comes across an array of spikes. The singer sings about them thinking it's funny, then prompts the team to jump on the spikes in an attempt to murder the team. As Nickel realizes the intention, he angrily lets the singer know they're done using their lyrical guide and are now doing things their way. Nickel then tells Book to let him use her Goiky map. As Book opens up to her Goiky map, Nickel says they're seemingly close to the desert, then gets interrupted by the shadow of the dragon quickly passing by. Price Tag tells everyone to prepare themself. Pillow greets the dragon, breathing fire in response. Price Tag then questions why the dragon is so angry.
Ice Cube stirs the dish in a big bowl. She calls for oats, wheat, and rice, with other team members tossing those ingredients into the bowl. Yellow Face says the making of the cereal is going well so far, but it's missing some oomph. He then spots a chocolate ball next to Rocky and asks if he can add it to the bowl. He signifies yes, but ends up slipping on the chocolate ball, throwing him into the air and over the bowl, vomiting into it as he was above. Yellow Face asks Clock if the vomit is tastable in the cereal, which confuses Clock, saying it clearly is as vomit is obviously visible. Winner then orders Bottle to catch the rolling chocolate ball Rocky tripped on. They claim that if they add the chocolate ball to the vomit, it will then dilute the vomit, meaning Two won't taste it. Bottle chases the chocolate ball.
Barf Bag arises behind a bush next to the leaf pile trap. She impatiently exclaims that it's been hours since the setting up of the trap, and considers Two will walk into it soon. Bottle catches the chocolate ball, but accidentally falls into the trap. To get her team members to retrieve the chocolate ball, she tosses it out of the trap, but in the opposite direction of where her team is. Teardrop spots the chocolate ball and chases it. Needle arises behind the bush, upset that Bottle ruined the trap. Coiny proposes they use a prop sandwich for Two's dinner. Needle agrees, snatching the prop, running, then placing it on the ground.
Bell and Grassy are on the hotel's fourth floor in the hallway. Bell asks where X could be. Grassy answers her by saying his name, pointing upward, hinting that X is on the roof. Both then rush up the stairs. Upon reaching the roof, they find X. Bell and Grassy start chasing X in circles, then X trips on a chocolate ball and falls, dropping his key. Bell and Grassy grab the key and run off. When Teardrop shows up for the chocolate ball, X greets her. He asks if the chocolate ball is hers and how it got to the roof. A flashback happens where Teardrop chases the chocolate ball into the hotel, trying to catch the chocolate ball bouncing off the walls in the elevator and exiting onto the roof. X returns the chocolate ball to Teardrop and descends into the roof's floor.
Clock runs while shouting for Bottle, then finds her in the leaf trap. Bottle explains that she tossed the chocolate ball out of the trap, but it rolled away. Clock is upset that the chocolate ball rolled away. He notifies the rest of his team members that they will stick with the vomit cereal, which Rocky vomits on him in response. Clock tells Ice Cube to package the meal to give to Two.
Death P.A.C.T. Again is at Golf Ball's Underground Factory, with Tree searching through a pile of inventions. Black Hole asks Tree if he found anything to revive the fish; Tree explains there's nothing in terms of a revival machone (machine). Fanny asks if Tree is good, concerned about his sudden speech impediment. Tree answers yes but tells her that his head feels weird. Tree then finds a time reversal ray. Lightning tells him to test it on Marker to see if it undoes his burns earlier from Gelatin's Steakhouse. As Tree uses the time reversal ray on Marker, he claims to feel younger by the second. Suddenly, Marker briefly re-experiences being on fire, screaming in pain. He then gets his burns reversed. Fanny then orders Tree to use the time reversal ray on the fish. Tree uses it on the fish, reviving it. Lightning then boasts about how good they are at preventing death to the point that they're undoing death. Lightning, Marker, Tree, and Black Hole, do a celebratory dance. The scene then zooms into Tree's treehouse, where Are You Okay screams and runs in fear of getting crushed by the chocolate balls, bouncing from Tree's movement. Pen tells Golf Ball not to exclude Puffball next time. Golf Ball tells him to save the shaming later and instead focus on dodging the bouncing chocolate balls. Fanny hates wasting time and tells everyone to go ahead with the fish roll. The fish bites Marker, to which Marker scolds it.
Just Not scream as they encounter the dragon except for Pillow. Book encourages everyone that they can defeat the dragon. Then Pillow throws Cake at the dragon. In the air, Cake says to tell everyone he died in a really cool way. The dragon then chars Cake with its fire breath but accidentally swallows him. It then collapses on the ground, seemingly dead. Price Tag says they can grind the dragon up for stew with a few more hits. However, Bomby says he's played enough of Goiky's Dragons as the healer to know the dragon was mad because it's in pain and choking. Pillow says she doesn't care as she's about to ignite Bomby's fuse with a lit match. Nickel stops Pillow by kicking her, with her body putting out the fire resulting in burns. Pillow says ouch but says cool after, possibly embracing the burns on her body. Nickel then orders Bomby to do what he has to do and that he trusts him. Bomby runs toward the dragon and climbs onto its chest. He tells it what he's doing will only hurt for a second. Then, Bomby stomps on the dragon's chest, causing Cake's corpse and a chocolate ball to eject from its throat, making the dragon conscious again. Book concludes that the dragon must've swallowed the chocolate ball that bounced into the forest earlier, which is why it was mad. Bomby waves bye to the dragon, and the dragon waves back as it flies away. Pillow says they should've killed the dragon, saying they have nothing else to give Two for dinner. Bomby tells her they should use Cake's remains for Two's dinner, saying the burns should make it tasty. Book adds the chocolate ball on top as decoration. Nickel accepts that they'll have to work with what they have, then tells the team to turn in their dish.
Two announces to everyone with a megaphone that it's almost dinner time as the sun sets. Death P.A.C.T. Again approaches Two, and Tree notifies them. Two asks Tree if he's doing okay due to him not seeming well. Tree says yes but tells them that his head feels funny. As Tree realizes there are people in his tree house, he aggressively shakes his head, launching Are You Okay, with the two chocolate balls and dream berry. Two resizes the team to normal mid-air, and Puffball resizes herself bigger. Are You Okay then lands on Puffball. Golf Ball apologizes to Puffball for her behavior, and Puffball forgives her. Teardrop grabs the two chocolate balls launched out of Tree's tree house. Tree asks Are You Okay if they were inside his tree house all day. Pillow introduces her team's dish, and Fanny then angrily asks if she killed Cake.
Snowball is in front of the lasers that are blocking the kitchen entrance. Bell and Grassy approach him with the key. Snowball grabs it, goes through the lasers, unlocks the kitchen, and steals a meal. The Strongest Team on Earth then rushes out of the hotel, Snowball shoving X out of their way. X calls to Four that the team is stealing their meal. Four then zaps Snowball, causing him to leap forward, bumping into Pillow. Cake's remains get knocked out of Pillow's hands, resulting in the chocolate ball rolling away. Pillow picks Cake's remains back up. Pillow teases Four, saying that he should get better aim. Four then attempts to zap Pillow, but Pillow dodges the zap. The zap instead hits Two, launching them and landing on a bread slice. Pin places another bread slice on top of them. Two panics and questions what's happening, with Gaty responding that they made them dinner in a literal sense. Two finds this very amusing, ranking the team a 10/10.
Teardrop finds the 100th chocolate ball and gives Two the completed box of 100 chocolate balls. Two immediately swallows all the chocolate balls at once but complains about some being dirty, ranking her a 7/10.
Golf Ball presents the dream berry to Two. They first judge the berry as small, dusty, and in poor condition. When Two eats it, it exceeds their judgemental expectations, ranking Are You Okay an 8/10.
Yellow Face advertises his team's vomit cereal, asking if they ever wanted to eat a cereal that tastes like vomit, and gives it to Two. Two tries the cereal and acknowledges the taste is very accurate to vomit, experiencing displeasure, but adds they still enjoy themed foods. They then ask The S! what they used to make it. Clock reveals that it is actual vomit. Two screams in disgust off-screen while The S! frowns (except for Rocky). Two complains that they made them eat vomit, giving The S! a 1/10.
Snowball gives Two Four and X's food. Two then eats the entire thing (including the bag). Snowball tells Two the food was inside the bag, but Two says they loved the whole thing, stating that the bag was their favorite part, and give The Strongest Team On Earth a 9/10.
Pillow tells Two that they still need to eat Cake's remains, but Two doesn't want to and considers giving them a low score. Pillow tells Two that will hurt Cake's feeling, causing Two to awkwardly give Just Not a 3/10.
The last team to get their food judged is Death P.A.C.T. Again's fish roll. Black Hole suggested not to eat the fish because they brought it back to life. Two is puzzled by the fact that the fish is alive and is suddenly eaten whole by the fish. It takes nine days for Two to get out of the fish, but they get devoured again. Fifteen more days pass before Two gets out again, with the fish's head caged as a safety measure. Two did not like being eaten, which nets Death P.A.C.T. Again a 2/10, placing the team in the bottom two with The S!, which puts them up for elimination.
Stinger[]
Bell and Golf Ball are out on the grasslands. Bell asks Golf Ball if they can raid food from Four and X's kitchen now that it's night. She thinks about it for a few seconds. Cut to X and Four guarding the kitchen with contestants charging from left to right, attempting to steal food but to no avail. Golf Ball, Tennis Ball, Eraser, Pen, Coiny, Pin, Needle, Ice Cube, Rocky, Yellow Face, Teardrop, Book, Bomby, Puffball, Nickel, Donut, and TV are quickly zapped by X, as Bell, Winner, Clock, Grassy, Basketball, Robot Flower, Barf Bag, Pillow, Price Tag, Cake, Gaty, Marker, Lightning, Fanny, and Tree are rapidly mutilated by Four. Once they finish their work, they stand there for a few seconds before the screen fades to black.

Trivia[]
- This briefly marks the first TPOT episode and the first BFDI episode overall to be shot in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio unlike the other episodes which were shot in 16:9.
- However, this is only the second BFDI video to be shot in 2.39:1, after "Paper Towel".
- Pin saying "so good" might be a reference to Teen Girl Squad, where it is a recurring quote.
- Rubber Spatula and Discy are the only two debuters who appear this episode.
- This is the first episode where Goiky, the main setting for the series, is directly mentioned in the title.
- This is the first episode with a demonym on the title.
- Griffin Weber provided the voice for the unseen singer/narrator for Just Not's adventure sequence.
- This is the second time that Basketball's Aboveground Factory was shown, first time being in TPOT 2.
- This is the first elimination for Are You Okay.
- This is the last episode of Battle for Dream Island to be produced before the Revival of BFDIA.
- This is the first time Pen has been up for elimination since Today's Very Special Episode, which was released 1,960 days ago from the release date of "Fishes and Dishes". This makes him one of the characters to go the longest without being up for elimination in the Battle for Dream Island series.
- This is the fifth episode in a row to have a female contestant eliminated.
- With Eggy eliminated, there are no more characters voiced by Katherine Sun left competing.
- In addition, both of her characters were eliminated in back-to-back episodes.
- This is the second elimination for The Strongest Team on Earth.
- This is the third TPOT episode written by Sam Thornbury.
- This is the first ever BFDI episode in the series to be theatrically presented to a private audience. This was for the BFDI X Inanimate Insanity 2023 Experience, which was held in Los Angeles and New York City before it was released online.
- There are few differences from the released version on YouTube in the original theater screening, specifically pertaining to the ending:
- On the voting screen, the text on the bottom says "THE FOLLOWING CONTESTANTS ARE UP FOR ELIMINATION".
- The credits appear and take up the full screen, with the voice acting bubbles appearing first followed by the production credits chart.
- There are also no clips of the Huang Twins saying anything during the credits.
- Eggy is the first member of The Losers! to be eliminated in TPOT.
- As is stated in the description of TPOT 3, this is the last TPOT episode to feature recommended characters for the foreseeable future. Reccomended characters return in BFDIA beginning with "Meaty".
- This is the first episode where Two does not start the intro. This also marks the first episode where Four stars the intro.
- This is the first TPOT episode that features Four and X where TPOT is hosted. It's also the second episode to have Four and X appear, the first being TPOT 1.
- This is the first time Fries was eliminated.
- This is the first time a contestant who didn't debut in BFB or TPOT has been eliminated.
- Both contestants eliminated this episode are food.
- This is Tennis Ball's first time in the bottom two since "Reveal Novum".
- This is the second episode to have the intro sequence be "two", with the first being TPOT 1.
- This is the first episode with a song since "Uprooting Everything".
- Since Death P.A.C.T Again lost for the third time, this means that Death P.A.C.T Again is the team that loses in the second most frequent number of times. They lost for the second time, which was two episodes between their first loss, and one episode between their second and third. The team with the most frequent losses was the Squishy Cherries from season one, with four consecutive losses.
- Out of the first nine episodes, this is the only one that doesn't feature a member of The Strongest Team on Earth. or Are You Okay in the thumbnail.
- This is the first elimination where one of the contestants aren't eliminated by getting covered by Two, as Eggy is eliminated after Two makes her disappear in thin air.
- This is also the first double elimination where both contestants are eliminated separately.
- If you look closely at the sequence of contestants being killed in the stinger, you'll notice:
- The contestants being zapped by X are contestants that competed/were featured in Seasons 1 and 2.
- The contestants being mutilated by Four are contestants that joined the competition during/after Season 4 except TV, who was zapped.
- This is the episode with the most zappies used.
- Black Hole, Bottle, and Snowball are the only competing contestants who were not zapped nor mutilated at the ending. Snowball was, however, zapped during Cake at Stake.
- Are You Okay had all of their team members be on X's side.
- Grassy is the only member of his team who got more votes than at least one Are You Okay member (let alone the entire team).
- This is the second TPOT episode to play the Cake at Stake theme before the intro, after "Fishes and Dishes".
- The animation where Rocky vomits in a bowl is reused a second time from "Fishes and Dishes".
- This is the first time we have seen a contestant being Yoyle Metal since Welcome Back (6 years ago).
- This is the first time TV lip syncs.
- This is the first TPOT episode to have TV speak with no clips from previous episodes.
- The fact that Four appears in this episode could be because this is the sixth episode of TPOT, and four plus two equals six.
- This is first episode to feature Tree and Pillow in the thumbnail.
- Just like in the challenge for "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters":
- The Strongest Team on Earth placed second.
- Just Not is barely safe with only a 3/10 score.
- The S! gets one of the lowest scores and is up for elimination.
- This is the first episode to have a BFDIA newbie get voted off since Ruby in "A Taste of Space".
- This is the first time TV is shown to be able to sprout wheels.
- Cake's sped up speech telling Golf Ball to get Just Not back to normal is actually reused clips from elsewhere in the episode.[5]
- This was the first time the crowd panicking sound effect was used since Reveal Novum.
- This is the first time Gaty has died in TPOT and is also her first death to have nothing to do with lava.
- The episode was originally going to be called "Fishes and Dishes 2".[6]
- This is the first time the 6th episode of a season does not have Coiny and Needle up for elimination. They were in BFDI 6, BFDIA 6, and BFB 6.
Continuity references[]
- Nickel's line in the fantasy sequence, "Soon, I'll become the new Coiny," is a reference to his audition from Season 1 in "The Reveal."
- Snowball's line, "The rest of the teams are babies," is also a reference to Snowball's rejoin audition in "Gardening Hero".
- Golf Ball hums the same jingle Four did in "X Finds Out His Value".
- It's also the second time Golf Ball sang Four's humming jingle. The first was in "Are You Smarter Than a Snowball?".
- Coiny's sandwich disguise is an indirect reference to both Blocky's Grape disguise from "Who Stole Donut's Diary?" and Blocky's Balloon disguise from "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning".
- Fries' last words are nearly identical to the last words Pencil said before being eliminated in the Season 4 episode "Lick Your Way to Freedom". It was also said by Match in "Get in the Van" and Lollipop in "Who Stole Donut's Diary?". Much like Pencil's elimination in "Lick Your Way to Freedom", the plan was also not rolled out fast enough to save Fries.
- The 100 chocolate balls are from the Season 1 episode "Sweet Tooth".
- Eraser mentioning the "free food" in the hotel references the times he craved free food in "Getting Teardrop to Talk" and "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?". It also references the name of the team he was on in BFB.
- Gaty and Two's close relationship from "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life" is brought up again.
- This is the first time the failed TPOT debuters, specifically Rubber Spatula and Discy, have been seen since "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?".
- Basketball's Aboveground Factory is shown again.
- In the factory, they use one of Golf Ball's bracelets from "Gardening Zero" to get to Yoyleland. Additionally, Snowball eats a Yoyleberry, marking the first time a contestant has been seen in their Yoyle Metal form since "Welcome Back".
- The grass trap Needle places on the ground resembles the paper grass seen in the cold open of the Season 1 episode "Bowling, Now with Explosions!".
- The Moon is still on top of the Earth due to the events of "Questions Answered", and this is the first time it has been explicitly shown as such since then instead of only appearing in the background.
- Coiny uses his strong magnet from "Fishes and Dishes" on it.
- Needle tries to use her tall stack of blocks from "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life" to trap Two.
- Bottle says, "And now I'm stuck!" after falling into the Team8s' trap, a variation of her "And now _ is dead!" gag.
- Four and X deciding to start a restaurant inside of the hotel was actually foreshadowed by a line X said in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning".
- Just Not attempts to slay the dragon they encountered in "Fishes and Dishes".
- The very tall staircase Just Not had to climb may be a reference to the one seen in "Lofty", "Getting Teardrop to Talk", and "Get to the Top in 500 Steps".
- The lava steps they crossed just afterwards are a reference to "Don't Pierce My Flesh".
- Lightning brings up the time he and his team explored Golf Ball's Underground Factory in "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters".
- The lava flood from "Don't Dig Straight Down" and "The Four is Lava" is mentioned by TV.
- Price Tag mentions how Pillow easily took out the dragon in the last episode.
- Just Not is seen in the Evil Forest. Book also shows a map of Goiky in her.
- Two calls Pen and Golf Ball "Pen-y" and "GB-y", similar to the nicknames they gave most of the debutants in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?".
- Four killing Clock off-screen may be a reference to him doing so in "Enter the Exit".
- The scene where Golf Ball freaks out by making faces after Puffball goes into the Underground Factory is a reference to "Get in the Van".
- Death P.A.C.T. Again visits the Gelatin's Steakhouse seen in pre-split BFB, which has since gotten worn-down and abandoned.
- Black Hole mentions Gelatin moving on to other chains, which is a reference to Gelatin and Flower's Steakhouse and Fashion Store that was first seen and opened up in "Chapter Complete".
- Yellow Face's "Yay" is sampled from "Zeeky Boogy Doog" when Pin suggests that their Dream Island should be farm themed.
- Eggy gets upset over being called a ball again, just like in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?".
- X randomly floats up at times, such as when getting hit by Robot Flower and being chased by Bell and Grassy. He also used to do this at the beginning of some challenges in BFB.
- Four being bounced on by Basketball vaguely mirrors a scene from "The Escape from Four" where Four is hit with a sun-turned-spikeball; additionally, their exclamations of pain are in the same tone.
- Puffball's dizzy eyes are also Firey's in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know" after the scene where she hypnotizes him with the title of the episode.
- The scene where Two is shown spinning around the Earth after being zapped by Four mirrors the scene of a laser going around the Earth shown during Flower's elimination in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2".
- The contestants running and chattering in the stinger have the same sound and similar animation as the recommended characters set alight in "A Leg Up in the Race" and also have similar animation to the running characters portion of the hydrochloric acid scene in "Half a Loaf Is Better Than None."
- The S!'s vomit cereal is the third time that vomit has been used in a cooking challenge, after "Sweet Tooth" and "Get Digging".
- Four and X being chefs for the hotel may be a reference to X's idea in BFB 28, where their idea was a hotel but for food.
- Four and X flying around the hotel during their playtime uses a similar camera angle to the sequence of the paper planes flying in "Fortunate Ben".
Cultural references[]
- The fires surrounding the field in the scene where Just Not fights the dragon at the start of the episode is a partial reference to the climatic battle between Simba and Scar in the 1994 film The Lion King.
- The sound effect used in the flashback transition to a dragon scene from "Fishes and Dishes" is also used in the title sequence of the 1997 computer game You Don't Know Jack! Movies, which was developed by Berkley Systems and Jellyvision (now Jackbox Games).
- When Just Not is fighting the dragon at the beginning of the episode, the Genie's magic lamp from Aladdin can be seen on the dragon's gold pile.
- The title of the episode is a reference to The Great British Bake Off, also known as The Great British Baking Show in North America.
- Goikys & Dragons, the game played by Just Not at the beginning of the episode, is a reference to Dungeons and Dragons. Price Tag seems to be the Dungeon Master, as they don't appear in the fantasy sequence.
- Eggy's last words are a direct reference to the age old riddle of "Who came first, the chicken or the egg?".
- Team8s' idea of literally making Two a sandwich may be a reference to Gordon Ramsay's Idiot Sandwich from a skit on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
- The Endless Staircase that Just Not climbs up while climbing the mountain is likely a reference to the Endless Staircase from Super Mario 64.
- The sound effect used when Four zaps Snowball and Grassy is the sound of when a robot is hit in the game Job Simulator.
- Upon slipping on a chocolate ball, X yelps "Zoinks!", which is Shaggy Rogers's catchphrase in the Scooby-Doo franchise.
- Pen being used as a sword may reference the idiom "the pen is mightier than the sword".
Goofs[]
- In the short version, the cereal was maroon instead of vomit.
- Team8s' stack from "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life" is shown in the montage of said team trying to capture Two as their dinner, despite having been a portion of the previously destroyed restaurant in "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters".
- It is possible that they might've rebuilt it.
- When Just Not took the scarier path while they're screaming, they were all limbless and only still have their faces.
- Also, after they get out of the "loop", their bodies are all layered over the path.
- Four's mouth isn't synced when they tell The Strongest Team On Earth. that "you fail".
Deaths[]
- Just Not all dies in the Goikys and Dragons campaign due to Pillow igniting Bomby (fantasy sequence).
