Plot[]
Cold Open[]

Yellow Face is trying to find something to sell to make money, asking all around the area and other contestants for "help". No one is interested, which leaves him in tears. However, he soon finds a business partner in Price Tag, who has a trove of objects to sell. Ice Cube and Fanny are trying to understand One and explain her to Two, who is lying on their bed, too overwhelmed due to Gaty's disappearance. Ice Cube spots One spying on Black Hole trying to patch the crack in the sky, and realizes they need someone reliable to help. They decide to search for Donut and Golf Ball, but are interrupted by Four, who kills them unintentionally with his arrival and announces they and X will be hosting Cake at Stake with Two out of commission. After noticing the corpses, they sprinkle bits of them on the cakes.
Cake at Stake[]

After a poorly modified Cake at Stake theme with Four and X, Four teleports everyone up to the roof and recovers Fanny and Ice Cube. He then states that he and X will take charge of hosting because Two isn't available to do so. X brings out the cakes created by him and Four, only for Pillow to eat a slice of it. Pillow is killed by Four for calling their cakes was "the worst cake imaginable", and is recovered by X. Four starts with Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again's elimination and announces Black Hole to be the first person safe, with 42,184 votes. X gives Black Hole a cake, to which he calls yummy, which creates awkward silence because he couldn't taste it in the first place. The silence is broken when Four announces the next one safe, Fanny, with 20,744 votes. As Pencil watches Four feeding Fanny the cake, she takes a deep breath because of her past experience. Marker is the next contestant safe with 17,628 votes, which makes the bottom two Tree and Pin. Tree is the last to be safe with 15,529 votes, while Pin is eliminated with only 13,455 votes. Pin is devastated because she believed she could get farther in the game and be a good leader. She also believes that she really can't compete without Coiny by her side, and that BFDIA was a fluke. Fanny reassures Pin by saying that she's already made it so far. Additionally, Tree and Black Hole mention how team wouldn't have been the same without her since she stepped up and helped them win in the first place. Pin is happy to hear these words and expresses the enjoyment she had while being a part of Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again. She thanks Tree for being nice to her last episode because she felt alone while the world was ending, only for X to interrupt their conversation. X shakes Pin to reveal the token she earned, much to Four's lack of surprise. Four states that the token is an advantage used in the merge, and that Pin, being eliminated, has to give it to a contestant of choice. She decides to give the token to Tree, which he thanks her for. Pin gives her final goodbyes before being sent away by Four.
Challenge[]
The Challenge for today is Hide & Seek, with Four and X as the seekers, the contestants have 10 minutes to hide before X and Four come to find them. Four and X have to tag contestants with paint. The team with most contestants eliminated by Four and X are both up for elimination. Pencil starts off by throwing Grassy and Price Tag at Four to eliminate them. This doesn't take because hiding time isn't over, and when Price Tag asks why, Pencil states that if Book won't join her alliance, then she'll make sure her team loose, just like during the storm. Pen then realizes that Eraser getting eliminated was thanks to Pencil, but is brushed aside by Pencil when confronting her. She then kicks all her team into her "hiding spot" save for Pillow, who used the remains of Liy's dead body to prevent her from flying, stating she wants to do her own thing. Pencil leaves without her, calling her "dead weight". Fanny follows after CloudYAY to prevent them from winning as Tree and Marker head off to find a hiding spot. Pen doesn't leave due to still feeling upset with Pencil, and neither does Black Hole, who has to stay behind to deal with the crack.

"It's time for a tree family reunion!"
In the hotel, Pencil hides CloudYAY in the elevator, but Fanny hops on as well, kickstarting a fight between her and Pencil that causes the elevator to violently shake. Marker and Tree decide to hide in the forest, but Marker tells him they need to initiate the second part of their "PACT", "creating trust", and invite Team Two into joining them as well, to Snowball's frustration. TV meanwhile uses his screen to hide in plain sight. Bottle goes off to hide by herself, wishing everyone else good luck. Tennis Ball, Pen, and Liy decide to hide in the The Clubhouse Of Awesomeness. X and Pillow form an alliance due to the latter not wanting to hide, but rather, seek.
However, as the contestants are still getting ready, a bolt from the crack causes time to move forward, causing Four and X to start seeking "earlier" than anticipated.
In the forest, Snowball has Team Two climb the tree he chose while Marker and Tree choose to find a different one to climb.
Back in the hotel, Winner calls out Fanny for breaking the elevator and states everyone will die, which goes against her team's PACT, but Fanny argues its what their team deserves. The elevator then crashes, with Fanny bumping into Four just as time runs out and is the first to be tagged out as CloudYAY runs up the stairs.

Back at the Clubhouse, Black Hole accidentally destroys it trying to hide inside it due to being told by Pillow it was a good spot, leading them to think Black Hole was working with her. Pillow then turns up with X, who demands he tag everyone. Liy points out the unfairness of the whole thing, so X lets them off with a one time warning, to Pillow's frustration as she walks away. Tennis Ball however gets eliminated by Four immediately afterwards while trying to lead the others. Four gets distracted by Black Hole fleeing before Tennis Ball hops onto of him to hold him back, allowing Pen and Liy to escape. The two find Roboty and hide in him, where they are taken to the Waterfall.
Four asks if X had seen where they went, but X had been watching a little alien running back and forth (actually TV distracting him). Four begins to suspect something, but the "alien" is suddenly destroyed by a bolt of lightning, to Four's pleasure and X's horror. Four hears Donut closing a door to the top of the hotel, and flies after CloudYAY while X goes another way, allowing for TV to escape. Tennis Ball meets Fanny, the latter of which decides to talk with him about One.
Back with Team Two, the tree Snowball chose for them turns out to be fairly spare on leaves compared to the rest of the forest. But when they decide to pick a different tree, Black Hole shows up, "accidentally" sucks up the rest of the forest, and runs off. Snowball yells in frustation, but is stopped by Grassy, who reveals that X is here. Team Two starts loosing their grip, so Snowball orders everyone on top of him, balancing on one leg.
Back with CloudYAY, Four flies up to the hotel and starts chasing them, with Donut bumping into TV, who had climbed up the hotel. Just as it seems like Four will tag CloudYAY, Four bumps into TV, who had disguised himself as the cowering team. TV uses Four's dazed state to flee down the stairs, while Pencil throws Yellow Face off the hotel to act as cushioning for the rest of the team. Donut sees Yellow Face's sprained arms (formerly his) and yells at Pencil not to do that. Pencil brushes him off, just as X appears and she orders the rest of the team to run, leaving the still downed Yellow Face to be tagged by Four. Winner tries to comfort Yellow Face from afar, but Yellow Face cheers up almost immedatly and decides to go find Price Tag, leaving Winner feeling dejected. Pillow walks up to X and reprimands him for going after her team, only the others.
Back at the Waterfall, Pen and Liy have a talk about what happened to the EXITors.
At the destroyed restaurant, Donut once more yells at Pencil for using Yellow Face as fodder, only for her to demand her teammates hide in the rubble while shutting up Tape with his own adhesive.

Team 2 tries to balance out in a top of a tree.
Back with Tree and Marker, it turns out they've now wandered into a desert, due to none of the trees there meeting Tree's standards, who is confidant that if they keep moving together, they'll be fine. But back with Team Two, Snowball flings the other members one by one to preserve as much stability as possible, leaving himself alone, balancing on the tree. Grassy crashes into Tree, making him unconscious as he pilots his body. Book falls inside the Recover Center, and Price Tag outside of it. However, Pillow shows up and kills Price Tag to force Book out with a recovery, allowing Four to eliminate them both. Four then eliminates Pillow despite her alliance with X, causing her to walk off.
Black Hole, desperate, tries to only open one of the walls in the hotel to find a hiding spot. Unfortunately, the room he chooses ends up being Four and X's kitchen, alerting them and tagging Black Hole out, who goes back to sealing the crack in the sky. Four asks X if he's tagged anyone, and states he has to, lest the results get messed up. X decides to start tagging for real.
"GrassTree" decides to use the situation to try and kill Marker to eliminate both him and Tree.
Back with Snowball, a now eliminated Pillow tries to shake Snowball off the tree in the name of "research", to Snowball's frustrations.

"WE NEARLY LOST EVERYTHING! REALITY ITSELF BECAUSE OF HER! AND-"
Back in the Waterfall, Pen explains how frustrated he is with Pencil for loosing his last friend on the show, yet is unable to express his anger properly, receives a pep talk from Liy, who states it's never too late to express yourself, coinciding with Match reuniting with Ruby and Bubble. Pen finally lets his own anger out, and accidentally breaks the plank they were on. This alerts Four and X of their location, with X entering Roboty to tag Pen and Liy.

"WAIT! I've been LIED to this whole time?!?"
Back with Snowball and Pillow, GrassTree climbs up the tree to reveal he's been trying (and failing) to get Marker killed/tagged out. Marker overhears this, and joins Pillow in shaking Snowball and GrassTree out. GrassTree ends up falling off and flying off into the distance, with Marker chasing after him while Pillow concludes her "research" and walks off, with Snowball proclaiming himself the strongest ever.
Liy and Pen end up falling out of the Waterfall and into Four's eye, allowing for X to drag them out and tag them. GrassTree ends up crashing into Pencil's hiding spot, getting Four's attention as Pen goes after Pencil to finally get even with her. Four makes it to the spot first, but Winner lunges at the Algebralian, kicking him into Tape, distracting him long enough for her to flee with Donut and Pencil as Winner is tagged. Four tries to tag GrassTree, but accidentally tags TV instead, to his anger. Pencil drives off in the FreeSmart SuperVan with the remaining members of CloudYAY in the FreeSmart Van, with Pen unable to catch up, expressing his anger and fear at loosing anyone else, and Liy comforting him.

"...Repeating words in your sentence won't make me listen to you."
In the SuperVan, Donut and Golf Ball chastise Pencil for throwing Yellow Face and Winner under the bus, and that there are things outside of winning that matter, which Pencil blows off.
Price Tag and Book talk about Bottle's hiding spot, before the former is picked up by Yellow Face so the two can head over to Yellow Face's factory to get their new business started. Winner then walks by, feeling that their being ignored again like with Loser, but Book comforts them before inviting them (and Pillow) to a game of Goiky and Dragons.
Back with CloudYAY, Pencil prepares to throw Donut out as well, to Golf Ball's objections. But GrassTree and Marker land in front of them, causing them to swerve and hit a Snowball's tree, causing him to crash onto the van's windsheild. GrassTree tries to get Four's attention to tag Tree, but Grassy separates from Tree at the last moment as the van hits the latter, hitching a ride on top as Tree is left confused over what he's missed.
Pencil kills Snowball trying to wipe him off the windshield, causing for him to be revived by X and then tagged, launching him away.
Pencil finally throws Donut out the SuperVan as Four tries to tag them and Grassy, Golf Ball manages to catch Donut just before he is tagged, then Donut furiously call out Pencil, asking if she even cares about who she hurts, and rebuking her statement that CloudYAY doesn't care about her as checked up on her during Cake at Stake.

Pen noticing that Pencil is terrified of Four coming into her team.
The SuperVan finally drives near Pen, who finally begins unleashing his anger and gets in the way, forcing Pencil to try and avoid him, only for the van to trip and crash. Pencil is left at the mercy of Four, but Pen, realizing Pencil is traumatized by Four after the EXITors escaped, helps picks the SuperVan up, incurring Four's wrath. X still tags the remaining CloudYAY members, plus Pencil herself. With the hour up, the round is over.
The score reveals that CloudYAY lost the most from both Four and X, and will lose two members this time. The episode ends with Bottle revealing her hiding spot, behind the hotel door, as Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again cheers, while Pencil, Donut, and Golf Ball look on downtrodden.

Trivia[]
- Excluding Liy, all of the contestants left have competed more in TPOT than BFB, with Pre-Split having only two episodes where they don't compete in a challenge while TPOT has only one.
- Two only gets four seconds of screentime in this episode (or six seconds if you count their leg peeking out in one of the scenes), due to being sad about Gaty's disappearance in this episode and the previous episode.
- Pin being eliminated in this episode marks her second elimination ever in nearly 15 years, after her elimination in "Power of Three", unless you count her switching to TPOT in "The Escape from Four".
- This means that every episode Pin was eliminated in contains the word "Power" in the title.
- Pin is the first contestant voiced by Cary Huang to get eliminated in TPOT.
- Pin's elimination makes Donut the only member of Team8s remaining.
- Pin's elimination also makes the remaining members of Death P.A.C.T. Yet Again only consist of those originally from Death P.A.C.T Again.
- Which means the only BFDI series Pin is still competing is in BFDIA.
- Ice Cube being eliminated in this episode makes Kenzie Bryant voice no more contestants competing on TPOT.
- Ice Cube being eliminated in this episode also marks her first elimination since "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4" from BFDIA.
- Ice Cube's elimination marks the second time a contestant who signed a contract with One while still actively playing in the game has been eliminated, with the first being Basketball in "Seasonal Shift".
- Ice Cube's elimination makes Book the highest placing FreeSmarter, BFDIA 5b playable character, and member of
. This is the second season Book has achieved this (third counting a tie with Ice Cube when leaving BFB).
- This episode marks the first time in TPOT where every eliminated contestant was an original BFDI contestant, said contestants being Pin and Ice Cube.
- However, "Outbreak At Stake" was the first episode where more than one original BFDI contestant was eliminated, with Coiny and Teardrop both being eliminated.
- Prior to this episode's release, a Discord message sent by Sam Thornbury confirmed that it would come out before BFDIA 18.[1]
- This marks the second TPOT episode since BFDIA's return to come straight after another TPOT episode instead of having a BFDIA episode released in between, after "Out Of The Blue" and "What's Up Bell's String?" releasing in-between "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4" and "Well, Look Who It Is!".
- The source photo of the background TV is displaying in the first teaser comes from Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
- This is the first episode to release in February since SOS (Save Our Show), unless you count Catch These Hands due to timezones.
- This episode came out at approximately 6:30PM PST.
- The number of this episode, 16, is 2 to the power of 4 and 4 to the power of 2. This is a funny coincidence, since TPOT's host is Two, and Four is a recurring character throughout the season.
- This episode title is also a nod to the season name, being The Power of Two.
- This is also the second episode sixteen of a season to have and end with Four's name in the title, as well as starting with the word "The".
- This episode reveals that Two's ability to teleport contestants to the elimination space isn't an exclusive ability to them, as shown when Four and X took the mantle of sending away Pin and Ice Cube.
- However, Four's arm turns the same shade of green as Two's arm when sending Pin and Ice Cube away, which could imply that while Two's body parts are still needed, they just don't need to be utilized by Two themself.
- Alternatively, Two could be controlling Four's arm to transport the eliminated contestants away.
- This is the first episode where Snowball is the first safe, and also the first episode Grassy isn't the first safe.
- Ice Cube's elimination breaks the record of most save votes for an eliminated contestant, previously being held by Nickel.
- With Ice Cube's elimination, Fanny is the only remaining active contestant who has signed a contract with One.
- With Pin eliminated in this episode, every member of The Losers! has been eliminated.
- This makes The Losers! the second pre-split team to have every member eliminated in TPOT, with the first being Beep.
- This is the second time an alive character went inside a Recovery center, with the first being Nickel using Pin as a tool in "Insectophobe's Nightmare 4".
- This is the first episode of TPOT and overall to have a single team face a proper double elimination.
- Season 1 episodes are not counted as the contestants always chose one of the two to join their team, the unselected then being permanently eliminated.
- It is also the first episode since "The Worst Day of Black Hole's Life" to have only one team up for voting, unless "Outbreak At Stake" is to be counted with Just Not up for elimination along with Teardrop being automatically eliminated as a solo, or "PointyPointyPointy ♫" in terms of release date, with Book and Ruby being put up for elimination as a duo.
- This is the first episode to include TV, Bottle, Roboty, and Donut in a thumbnail (unless you count Donut on the BFDI in "Chapter Complete").
- This is the third TPOT episode in a row to include at least one member of CloudYAY (Donut) in the thumbnail.
- This is also the first time an Exitor who didn't join TPOT in "Category One" is on a thumbnail.
- This makes TV the last former member of Are You Okay to appear in an episode thumbnail.
- This is also the first episode sixteen of a season to not have a FreeSmart member in the thumbnail.
- This is the fourth time that Two hasn't hosted a Cake at Stake this season after "Category One"'s first Cake at Stake, and the full ones in "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", and "Seasonal Shift".
- Black Hole broke Golf Ball's record for most save votes in TPOT, with 42,184. This also marks the first time in TPOT that someone has received over 40,000 votes to be saved.
- This is the first TPOT episode where Basketball and Robot Flower don't appear.
One's Cameos[]

Continuity references[]
- A reoccurring gag in the series involves a 1 second animation of a character making a funny, shocked or disappointed expression after a specific event happens, examples of this happening involve events such as:
- When Four is looking for Black Hole, he uses his eyes as binoculars like in Out Of The Blue.
- Following the events of the previous episode, Two is saddened due to Gaty's disappearance. By this point, numerous theories have been posted on a whiteboard, including:
- A crescent moon, theorized to be One's symbol.
- Some of One's previous cameos.
- One's appearance within the stars in "Oneirophobe's Nightmare" has a caption saying that she can blend in.
- The date of One's first appearance: "Since Dec 18, 2023"
- Some of the missing posters (from "I SAID CAREFUL!!!")
- The facts that One is not only a dealmaker, but she is also an "old friend of Two's".
- Fanny and Ice Cube having already binded contracts with One.
- Episode numbers, which correspond to missing characters:
- Barf Bag and Needle in "Category One";
- Gaty in "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", and;
- Robot Flower and Basketball in "Seasonal Shift".
- A diagram showing One's connection to Two and Four(?).
- Two not hosting this episode due to Gaty's disappearance is comparable to Firey Speaker Box not hosting "Meaty" due to Firey's elimination.
- Tree's Treehouse from "The Great Goikian Bake-Off" makes a cameo this episode.
- Pin's line "WHAT?!" is re-used from "Catch These Hands".
- After being controlled by Grassy, Tree's glitching was similar to that of Remote in "The Liar Ball You Don't Want".
- Several props from previous episodes are in Price Tag's room, these include;
- Coiny's bread costume, world ending bomb and powerful magnet.
- Pillow's flamethrower.
- A Dream Berry.
- The flags from "I SAID CAREFUL!!!"'s challenge.
- The master key to the hotel.
- The big scissors from "Gardening Zero".
- The pogo stick from "The Seven Wonders of Goiky".
- A stack of Team8s blocks.
- BBQ Sauce's remains.
- The trash on a table from "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters".
- A Box of Paper Slips.
- The hourglass and one of Yellow Face's headphones from "What's Up Bell's String?".
- Naily's Bucket.
- A shiny plate from "Fishes and Dishes".
- Two & Yellow Face's megaphones.
- An antique.
- A bottle of glue.
- A piece of Two's glass shard cake.
- A piece of the Moon.
- Similarly during the stinger, one of Two's attack plans and the Time Reversal Ray from "The Great Goikian Bake-Off" is in Price Tag's stash box.
- Additionally, there is a poster of The Pillary Ruins on the wall, referencing when Price Tag mentioned that they loved "old ruins" in "Oneirophobe's Nightmare".
- Pin was sweating ooze instead of water, which is also shown in other seasons.
