The Railway is a location in Battle for BFB. It spans roughly 2,763 miles between The Pillary Ruins and Yellow Face & Taggy's warehouse, crossing through the Mountain Range. Two trains operate on the railway; the High-Speed Express Train and the Steam Train. The railway also exclusively connects the Steam Train to the Grasslands.

In "Let's Raid The Warehouse", each team sends three members aboard the express train to travel to Yellow Face & Taggy's warehouse, where they steal gifts for their teammates.
In "Who Stole Donut's Diary?", Four punishes Firey by making him clean the entire railway after he steals Donut's Diary. Leafy offers to help, but she burns to death during their hug. The express train is destroyed off-screen due to the fire.
In "Fashion For Your Face!", the Have Cots heads back to Yellow Face & Taggy's warehouse to retrieve tools necessary for breaking Four out of jail. Since the express train is no longer operational because of Firey, they take the steam train instead.
In "The Game Has Changed", Woody plays a prank on Flower by shoving her glitter-infused sweaters off the cliff where the express train once was.
In "Chapter Complete", the group returns to Yellow Face & Taggy's warehouse to continue their pursuit of Four. Upon discovering that the express train is operational again, Lollipop suggests they take it. Four hears this and possesses the train, forcing the group to use the steam train instead. During the ride, X reveals Four's origin, and they eventually arrive at The Pillary Ruins where they exit the steam train.
In "Fishes and Dishes", Team8s travels to the warehouse and back using the steam train.
In "The Power of Four", Yellow Face and Price Tag use the steam train to travel to the warehouse.

- The length of the track is a reference to the running gag 2,763 - a number that has been reoccurring since "The Glistening".
- The Patreon wallpaper for July 2020 is Blocky, Taco, and Bubble riding the express train up the mountain tracks.
- The steam train's whistle sound effect was taken from Polson Logging Company No. 2; it was originally thought to have come from Canadian Pacific No. 1238. Outside BFB, the sound effect is notable for being used by Sam, an American engine from the show Thomas & Friends.
- If "Fashion For Your Face!" is set in 2020, then the steam train was built in 1820, since it was claimed to be 200 years old.
- It is unknown how the express train was fixed in "Chapter Complete".
- Both the steam and express locomotives appear to be freelance designs.
- However, the steam engine appears to be loosely based on several standard gauge British 0-6-0 side tanks, and the express engine looks to be based on a light rail or subway train.
