TPOT[]

Personality[]

In "The Number Playground Chronicle!", Three appears to be an opinionated Integer with repulsive anger issues. He is seen to have been extremely upset that Five had dropped the ball while playing catch and proceeded to write a very aggressive opinion editorial, where he gets increasingly angry as he writes it.

In X Finds Out His Value, he is happily seen throwing the ball with Five. When hearing Four that the number 7 is lucky, he is offended by this and scoffs.

In "Four and X say "Happy New Year!" in 2024!", he is rather a simplistic number who jumps in front of the current year numbers (2023). When X arrives, Three pleads with him not to replace him, but unfortunately, X kicks Three out of the sky.

BFDI universe[]

As of today, Three doesn't reveal much of his personality due to his cameo appearances. However, his mysterious nature hints at some hidden traits.

Judging from his brief appearance in "Out Of The Blue", it appears that he is someone who wants to be alone, as shown when he makes an ominous sound and then later shuts the door of his cage to close himself off again. This also seemingly indicates that his personality has developed to become volatile and insane, possibly due to being a prisoner inside Four for a prolonged amount of time.

During his brief appearances in "Seasonal Shift", Three is seen standing quietly with Ean in an altered version of "Fortunate Ben" and also later seen next to TV after CloudYAY return to the present. In both instances, a darkening vignette appears around the screen as it begins to zoom in on Three as he opens his mouth, suggesting that he may not be in a very stable state of mind.

Details[]

In "X Finds Out His Value", Three is seen alongside Five, where he is seen playing catch with Five. Later on, he becomes jealous of Four and X when he finds X's value is seven, a lucky number, while with One, he forms into a thirteen, an unlucky number. Three grunts at the sight.

Three appeared in Battle for Dream Island for the first time as 2 recommended characters (recommended twice) in "Uprooting Everything", and once again in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning".

In "Out of The Blue", at the end credits scene, a red hand (possibly Three's) is seen emerging from the cage. Despite being given an easy opportunity to flee, Three closes itself off. The reason behind this is currently unknown.

The green and blue crayons are together, but the red is separate.

Before its major appearance in the episode, several allusions to Three's appearance can be seen. For example, at the beginning of the episode, there are three crayons on the ground below David: a blue crayon representing One or Four, a green crayon representing Two, and a red crayon representing Three, which is seen lying separate from the other two. Some other appearances seem to distinguish or exclude him.

In “I SAID CAREFUL!!!”, Three is seen on the kitchen’s refrigerator held up by a red triangular fridge magnet. They are completely scribbled out, save for a few spots.

In "Seasonal Shift", Three makes appearances throughout the episode, though does not speak. Each appearance, the camera begins to zoom in on him as the song "Hallway” fades in, with a vignette focused on him. "Hallway” commonly plays in scenes that take place inside of the EXIT, and since Three was inside of a jail cell in Four, there could be a possible connection. The drawing of them on the refrigerator in “I SAID CAREFUL!!!” is covered up by the one of Four.

In "The Power of Four" he appears as a small red number 3 on the billboard in Two's room, and is scribbled out in a similar fashion to his drawing in TPOT 14. He also appears scribbled out in the whiteboard where Fanny and Ice Cube gather their knowledge of One.

In "Bottle For Dream Island" his drawing on the fridge is gone, while Four covers up One's drawing with one of the moon. The meaning of this is unknown. He also appears scribbled out in the whiteboard again.

Relationships[]

One[]

In "X Finds Out His Value", Three is standing next to One, making thirteen.

Relationship status: Likely Friends

Four[]

In "X Finds Out His Value", Three is annoyed when Four says that seven is a lucky number, since Three is standing next to One, making thirteen, an infamously unlucky number.

In "Out Of The Blue", Three is seen inside a jail cell in Four. He closes the door on himself, most likely meaning that four imprisoned them just like the other EXITors.

In "I SAID CAREFUL!!!", there is a Three drawing but it is scribbled out, probably by Four.

In "Seasonal Shift", the Three drawing, scribbled, is now behind Four's drawing.

As of now, the reason Four sent Three to the EXIT is currently unknown, but it seems that Four has some sort of resentment toward Three, or vice versa. However, despite Three being able to escape when his cell is unlocked in "Out Of The Blue", Three chooses to close it on himself, making his motives unknown.

Relationship status: Likely enemies

Five[]

In X Finds Out His Value, Three and Five are seen playing ball in the opening scene. However, Five drops the ball and frowns.

In The Number Playground Chronicle!, Three is seen fuming (spelt fooming) due to Five not picking up the ball. Three later writes an article about "Catch!" where they say that he'll "catch Five if it's the last thing they do" due to him not picking up the ball.

Relationship status: Former friends; Now on bad terms

X[]

At the end of X Finds Out His Value, X, after finding out his value, tells Four that he wanted to celebrate by playing with Three and Five

Relationship status: Good terms (possibly)

Trivia[]

  • Coincidentally, Three has been recommended 3 times in Battle for BFB.
  • According to Michael Huang during the Seattle tour for the BFDI x II 2024 event, Three does not like being stretched into black holes, in fact he's the Algebralian that dislikes it the most.[citation needed]
  • He was hinted at appearing in a 3,000,000 subscriber special in a Q&A.[2]
  • In BFDIA 8 when Three was recommended as "the number 3", he was instead replaced by Four's asset, albeit colored in a puce color. It is unknown what this implies.
  • In the thumbnail of Thanks for 2,763,000 Subscribers!, Three is absent and is replaced by a drawing of the number 3, despite Two, Seven and Six being there.
  • In “Thanks for 1,000,000 subscribers!”, Five hinted that he had friends, implying Three. Seven asks to name one, and Five says that they’re not around, which possibly proves that Three is in the E.X.I.T
