“ | Guys, they're never gonna find the other blessed totem, because I already found it? All that's left in there are rocks. | ” |
The totems are artefacts that first appear in "The Tweested Temple" that reside within the Archaic Temple. Some of them are said to be blessed whereas some are said to be cursed and while being blessed seems to do nothing inherently, being cursed seems to affect carrot cakes and cause them to come alive and fly off. Once the carrot cakes are alive they seem to also be able to detect blessed people.
Appearance[]
The first seen totem has a rectangular body and semi-sphere head with sharp teeth is green and appears to be vomiting. The second and third totems have rectangular bodies and circular heads and are purple with one being seen grinning and the other being seen scowling. The fourth, fifth, and sixth totems have rectangular heads and bodies that are segmented and appear to have serpentine tails with sharp teeth and differently coloured eyes. The fourth totem has a white body and red eyes, the fifth totem has a black body and blue eyes, and the sixth totem has a more bluish black body and orange eyes. The example totem is featureless and green with a short oblong body and long oblong head. All totems have what appears to be either wings or fins on their left and right side which are either lighter in colour than the body or the same colour as the body.

Battle for BFB[]
The first totem that appears is the vomit totem in "The Tweested Temple". It rises from the floor behind Flower, and she begins to chase it as it rotates away due to it being repelled by Flower's vomit repelling sweater. Ultimately Gelatin manages to grab the vomit totem instead and delivers it to Four who reveals that it's filled with vomit which therefor makes it cursed and puts him up for elimination.
The second and third totems appear later when Purple Face gives the scowling totem to Leafy and the grinning totem to Woody before kicking them out of the temple. Four reveals that these two totems are also cursed due to being from Purple Face which also puts those two up for elimination.
The final two totems in that episode are the white and black totems which are seen on a shrine that appears to be yin-yang themed. Teardrop attempts to scientifically figure out which totem is cursed and which totem is blessed however Lollipop stops her due to believing that figuring that out would cause their alliance to fracture due to them possibly fighting over who gets immunity via the blessed totem. In the end the two decide to blind themselves and randomly grab a totem. Once they leave the temple Four reveals that the white totem was cursed and the black totem was blessed causing Teardrop to be safe and Lollipop to be up for elimination.
The totems are then seen via flashback in "The Hidden Contestant" where it is revealed that the reason why Flower was only able to find and submit a rock for the challenge was because Profily had taken the last blessed totem, the other black totem, before she could.
All of the totems, except for the other black totem that Profily found, appear again in "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning" residing inside of a seemingly fake recreation of the Archaic Temple. In that episode they are part of the BFB 25 challenge as they were originally and Teardrop and Gelatin grab the black totem and the vomiting totem respectively to pass that segment only for Flower to speed past that segment by submitting a rock like she did in the original challenge.
Trivia[]
- Both of the black totems, the one with blue eyes and the one with orange eyes, are the only totems in the temple that aren't cursed.
- It is unclear if the grinning and scowling totems are actually from the Archaic Temple or if Purple Face himself made them as Purple Face was the one to give the two totems to Leafy and Woody.
- Just like in the original episode, in BFB 28 Gelatin grabs the cursed vomit totem and Teardrop grabs the blessed black totem.
- It is unknown how the vomit totem was filled with vomit, why the vomit totem was filled with vomit, or who filled the vomit totem with vomit.
- It is also unknown how the vomit totem was able to appear from the floor like it did.
- The totems may depict a specific creature due to the shared similarities that the totems all exhibit.
- The closest creatures that fit the appearance of the totems are the dragon from the Evil Forest and the fish monster from the Goiky Canal, although neither of these creatures seem to live near The Pillary Ruins which is where the Archaic Temple resides.
- Although with the dragon's ability to fly it isn't impossible that the dragon lived in or near The Pillary Ruins for some time at some point allowing it to be the basis for the totems design.
